The evil of greedy banks like Goldman Sachs:
With their connections Goldman Sachs was able to gain exemption from regulation restricting the amount of oil that could be purchased by people other than commercial operations that have legitimate need for oil. This opened the door to individual financially powerful speculators holding sizeable stock with which to dictate market price movements.
Next they changed the law allowing private investors or speculators to trade oil on private electronic exchanges outside the supervision of regulators, the most important of which was ICE that was based in London.
THUS WITH THEIR CONNECTIONS, POWERFUL BANKS IN THEIR INSATIABLE QUEST FOR PROFIT WHEREVER IT IS TO BE FOUND PROGRESSIVELY SUBVERTED THE OIL MARKET BY LETTING THEM BUY MORE OIL THAN REGULATIONS PERMIT AND THEN TO TRADE PRIVATELY IN EXCHANGES OUT OF SCRUTINY OF REGULATORS SUCH THAT THEY BECAME LIKE AN OCTUPUS CONTROLLING THE WORLD OIL MARKET PUSHING UP PRICES FOR FAT PROFITS AT THE EXPENSE OF CONSUMERS.
For most of the past century, regulators put limits on financial actors to prevent them from dominating commodity exchanges, which were much smaller than the bond or stock markets. Only commercial operations, such as farms, airlines, manufacturers and the middlemen that handle their trading activities, were allowed to buy nearly unlimited quantities. The goal was to allow these businesses to minimize the effect of price swings.
The first major change to this regulatory framework occurred in 1991, when Goldman Sachs, through a subsidiary called J. Aron, argued that it should be granted the same exemption given to commercial traders because its business of buying commodities on behalf of investors was similar to the middlemen who broker commodity transactions for commercial firms.
The CFTC granted this request. More exemptions soon followed, including one to the Houston-based energy trader Enron.
"When the CFTC granted the 1991 hedging exemption to J. Aron (a division of Goldman Sachs), it signaled a major shift that has since allowed investors to accumulate enormous positions for purely speculative purposes," said Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) Now, he added, "legitimate businesses that hedge and take physical delivery of oil are being trampled by the speculators who are in the market purely to make profit."
A second turning point came when Congress passed the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000. The law formally allowed investors to trade energy commodities on private electronic platforms outside the purview of regulators. Critics have called this piece of legislation the "Enron loophole," saying Enron played a role in crafting it.
In the months after the act was passed, private electronic trading platforms sprang up across the country, challenging the dominance of NYMEX.
"Investment banks had been frustrated with the established exchange because they really were never able to get control of it," said Michael Greenberger, a law professor at the University of Maryland and a former staff member at the CFTC.
The most successful of the private platforms was InterContinental Exchange, or ICE, founded by Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and a few other big brokerages in 2000. ICE soon opened a trading platform in London, allowing its founders to trade vast quantities of U.S. oil overseas without being subject to regulation.
The exemptions for swap dealers and the development of overseas markets allowed big brokerages to open the door for more hedge funds, pensions and big investors to move into commodities.
No mystery why oil prices soared in recent years:
It may not be simple supply and demand, increasing consumption by emerging economies like China or impending running out of oil that caused the recent soaring oil prices but it may be the behind the scenes changes in the oil markets, namely the permission of non genuine oil consumers like Goldman Sachs & Enron to buy unlimited oil on behalf of its investors and the proliferation of electronic exchanges outside the supervision of regulators that opened the gates not just to a flood of speculators but enabled some with great financial muscle to (secretly) corner the market and dictate prices.
IT WAS THE CHANGES IN THE OIL MARKET OUTSIDE THE AWARENESS OF THE PUBLIC, SPECIFICALLY UNRESTRICTED BUYING BY ENTITIES WHO DO NOT REALLY NEED OIL AND THE PROLIFERATION OF PRIVATE ELECTRONIC EXCHANGES OUTSIDE REGULATORS SUPERVISION THAT IS THE CAUSE OF A NUCLEAR CHAIN REACTION THAT WAS SPIRALLING OUT OF CONTROL.
IN THE PAST SPECULATORS WERE BANNED FROM THE OIL EXCHANGES BECAUSE THERE WERE RESTRICTIONS TO HOW MUCH THEY COULD BUY BUT NOW THE GATES HAD BEEN OPENED AND THEY FLOODED INTO THE MARKET CAUSING HAVOC.
Baby whale Colin to be put down tonight
THE fate of a baby humpback whale stranded in a Sydney waterway has been decided, with Colin set to be euthanased tonight to end his suffering.
The decision was made at a meeting of NSW Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) workers, scientists and representatives of other agencies after the calf's deteriorating health took a drastic turn for the worse.
Rescuers have opted against making another attempt to shepherd the starving 4.5 metre whale calf into open water, the NPWS said.
The calf unexpectedly appeared on Sunday at The Basin, inside Sydney's Pittwater, and returned on Tuesday after being towed out to sea.
"The vets who had a look at him were really surprised at how fast he'd gone downhill,'' NPWS spokesman John Dengate said.
"He's having difficulties breathing and his flippers were at an unnatural angle.
"Their advice to us was `he's not going to last much longer, he's suffering and you should take action'.''
'Shattered'
About 30 people from NPWS and other agencies were involved in the operation and are "shattered'' over the outcome.
"It's a really tragic result from an operation that people worked really, really hard,'' Mr Dengate said.
Experts agreed that saving Colin was a near impossible feat and any attempts to prolong the inevitable would bring more hurdles.
Curt Jenner, managing director of Western Australia's non-profit Centre for Whale Research, said even trying to feed the whale by hand was a logistical nightmare.
"There's no way that the logistics of feeding that animal by hand or in an aquarium is going to work,'' Mr Jenner said in a statement.
"There are too many difficulties with it, and the animal first of all has to be convinced to eat out of a tube, its got to get to an aquarium, and then you've got to find a product for it to eat which you can supply for probably a year.
"So I think for humans to try and keep it alive is just going to end up as a disaster.''
If the plan worked, then Colin would somehow have to be placed next to another nursing adult - a massive operation with doubtful outcomes.
"Get it into the vicinity of the other cow and calf and hopefully the cow would take on two calves, which would be pretty unusual.''
Shark bites
Associate Professor Peter Harrison, director of Lismore's Southern Cross University Whale Research Centre in NSW, said a colleague who saw Colin yesterday noticed shark bite marks on his back.
"There were four cookie cutter shark bites in it, and that has most likely occurred while it was out in the open water - it's just another thing that compounds the whole problem,'' Mr Harrison said.
"Even if they are able to entice the calf out into open water, it would face a higher predation pressure from sharks.''
NSW Premier Morris Iemma today agreed the outlook for the 4.5m humpback was "bleak''.
"Our hearts are breaking with what's happening with baby Colin,'' Mr Iemma said.
"It's looking bleak, but every effort is being made.''
He said zoo and veterinary scientists were working to save Colin while federal Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon has offered to mobilise defence force assets if required.
"The key here is, he's weakening, he's losing (the) strength to get him fed and a pod that will care for him,'' Mr Iemma said.
"The chances are not good.''
Mr Dengate said Colin would be euthanased with an overdose of anaesthetic at the earliest and safest possible time.
"He'll just go to sleep,'' he said.
Why mercy killing is deluded:
To be left all alone as a baby without food and slowly starving to death is terrible but much more terrible suffering is possible in this world let alone hell. For instance during the siege of Leningrad, inhabitants froze and were starved until they were skeleton eating sawdust to fill their stomachs.
It is the baby whale’s karma to be in its predicament and by foreshortening its suffering here, you are transferring its suffering in the next world or some other future lives.

Not a sparrow will fall without the Father’s will:
Jesus: Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father's will.
Just as not one of the sparrows will fall to the ground without the Father’s will, whatever suffering that is possible in this world and this includes this baby whale’s plight, the darkest mental torment, suffering for hundreds of thousands of years in hell, the ghost and animal world cannot occur without the Father’s will.
As the Buddha said, if you spill just one drop of oil from the pot brimful of oil on your head, your head will be cut off straight away.
IF IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE BABY WHALE WILL SUFFER IN LONELINESS AND STARVATION AND BE ATTACKED BY SHARKS THEN IT IS SO WITH THE FATHER’S WILL AND YOU ARE MISGUIDED TO THINK YOU ARE DOING IT GOOD PUTTING IT OUT OF ITS MISERY.

Right effort & effacement:
Right effort is one of the eight factors of the noble eightfold path.
The noble eightfold path is not noble for show but it is noble because if faithfully followed leads to nobility or one becomes a noble one that is destined for the heavens.
The reason why one must have right effort is because sin or evil is always based on plans driven by force that is conditioning just like drinking, smoking, gambling are plans driven by force or emotion (sensuality, greed) and whatever is conditioning (evil) must be de-conditioned by persistent effacement or right effort to wean oneself of the urge to be evil. If one has a tendency to attack others verbally, to antagonize, to scold others, one must make right effort to keep stopping oneself doing so until the urge to attack, antagonize, scold, tell lies become extinguished or effaced.
ALL EVIL DEEDS IN A PERSON ARE ACCORDING TO PLANS (TELLING LIES, STEALING, KILLING) DRIVEN BY FORCE THAT IS CONDITIONING SO THAT THE PERSON DEVELOPS AN URGE TO TELL LIES, STEAL, KILL OF VARYING STRENGTH THAT WILL NOT INSTANTLY DISAPPEAR BUT EFFORT, RIGHT EFFORT MUST BE MADE TO EFFACE OR ERADICATE THEM EACH TIME THEY RISE UNTIL THEY BECOME EXTINCT.
The other factors of the noble eightfold path are:
1) Right view.
2) Right mindfulness. Paying attention to the right things like the arise of stress, restlessness, distraction in one’s mind, tension in the body. The paying attention to one’s use of force to stretch syllables, change speed and loudness to fabricate one’s evil style.
3) Right resolve. Before one can quit smoking one must resolve to quit smoking but just because you resolve to quit smoking does not mean you will achieve it but to resolve to embrace wholesome habits is an important starting point.
4) Right conduct. No stealing (taking what is not given), killing (includes mercy killing and killing of animals), sexual misconduct and substance abuses.
5) Right speech: No lies, idle chatter, divisive speech or gossip, harsh speech.
6) Right livelihood: Occupations that involve killing animals, stock trading is a form of gambling.
7) Right concentration. Right concentration is the cultivation through meditation or seclusion the four meditative trances starting with serenity with discursive thought to fully conscious cessation of thinking to equanimity with pleasure to pure equanimity without pleasure or pain.
The Blessed One said, "Now what, monks, is the Noble Eightfold Path? Right view, right resolve, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration.
"And what, monks, is right view? Knowledge with regard to stress, the origination of stress, the stopping of stress, the way of practice leading to the stopping of stress.
"And what is right resolve? Being resolved on renunciation, freedom from ill will.
"And what is right speech? Abstaining from lying, divisive speech, abusive speech, idle chatter.
"And what, monks, is right action? Abstaining from taking life, stealing, sexual intercourse.
"And what, monks, is right livelihood? A noble disciple, having abandoned dishonest livelihood, keeps his life going with right livelihood.
"And what, monks, is right effort? (i) There is the case where a monk generates desire, activates persistence, & exerts his intent for the non-arising of evil, unskillful qualities that have not yet arisen. (ii) He generates desire, persistence, for the sake of the abandonment of evil, unskillful qualities that have arisen. (iii) He generates desire, activates persistence, for the arising of skillful qualities that have not yet arisen. (iv) He generates desire, activates persistence for the maintenance, development, & culmination of skillful qualities that have arisen.
"And what, monks, is right mindfulness? (i) There is the case where a monk remains focused on the body in & of itself putting away greed & distress. (ii) He remains focused on feelings in & of themselves. (iii) He remains focused on the mind in & of itself -- putting away greed & distress. (iv) He remains focused on mental qualities in & of themselves.
"And what, monks, is right concentration? (i) There is the case where a monk -- quite withdrawn from sensual pleasures, unskillful (mental) qualities -- enters & remains in the first jhana. (ii) With the stilling of directed thought & evaluation, he enters & remains in the second jhana. (iii) With the fading of rapture, he remains in equanimity, mindful & fully aware, and physically sensitive of pleasure. He enters & remains in the third jhana.' (iv) With the abandoning of pleasure & pain he enters & remains in the fourth jhana: purity of equanimity & mindfulness, neither pleasure nor pain.
The delusion of mercy killing:
If you believe that life ends with death, there is no further life and possibility for suffering after death then you are right to put a suffering animal off its misery by killing it, especially if that being (eg cancer patient) is in ‘unbearable’ pain’.
However if it is the truth that there is life after death, a being’s suffering or plight is not blameless but the fruit of past acts, as the Buddha tells you, then mercy killing will not put an end to that being’s suffering that will continue after it departs until it has repaid every penny it owes (Jesus said you will not be let out of prison until you have repaid every penny).
What do you think? Is the suffering of boiling in hell even for hundreds of thousands of years (for spitting at a Buddha) more extended agony or the baby whale’s plight of hunger and loneliness? If you think that boiling in hell for hundreds of thousands of years is worse then if it is the fate of the baby whale to suffer thus, it should be permitted to suffer its fate.

Oil speculators like ticket touts:
Oil speculators are very similar if not identical to cinema ticket touts.
Just as cinema ticket touts will not indiscriminately target all shows, they only target shows that are hot or popular so that there is demand even shortage of seats and they hold tickets for which they have no use except to sell it off for a profit to genuine patrons, they will lower their prices as the time of the show arrives and even take losses, in the same way oil speculators do not target any commodity (eg salt) but they target commodities where supply and demand are tight (oil) and they buy and hold those contracts for supply of oil in the future to sell it off to genuine buyers for as much profit as they can cajole out of genuine desperate oil buyers and when the time for expiry of the contract nears, they dump it even at a loss. Unless the price is not ridiculously high as when it was at $147 per barrel, because the market is tight, they are unlikely to sustain catastrophic losses because there will always be buyers out there if it was cheap enough. Thus the only way they can wipe themselves out if they traded on margin, leveraged their bets to magnify their profits and losses.
THERE ARE MANY EVEN EXPERTS WHO SAY THAT SPECULATORS ARE NECESSARY FOR THE MARKET, THEY PROVIDE A POOL OF BUYERS TO HELP PROVIDE PRICE STABILITY (SUPPORT PRICES, DON’T LET IT FLUCTUATE WILDLY OR DROP DRASTICALLY WHEN DEMAND DROPS) BUT THEY ARE EITHER DELUDED OR TELLING LIES, GIVING EXCUSES BECAUSE OIL PRICES DO NOT NEED SUPPORT, SHOULD IT FALL, ALL THE BETTER FOR CONSUMERS AND OIL PRODUCERS WILL AUTOMATICALLY REDUCE SUPPLY TO MARKET TO PROTECT THEIR PRICES.

The myth of buffering by speculators:
There are economists who argue that oil speculators serve a vital function in buffering or providing price support for the commodity so that it will not be subject to wild disruptive swings but they may be speaking out of vested interest or false perception and logic that is the infallible way to mad logic and perception.
Who needs ticket touts to support ticket prices or provide a buffer?
If you are a cinema owner only keen to have a full house on every occasion then there may be a case from your viewpoint that ticket touts should be permitted so that you can be assured of maximal profits.
THUS FROM THE OIL PRODUCERS’ AND OIL BROKERS’S FORM OF VIEW IT IS GOOD TO HAVE SPECULATORS AROUND TO ARTIFICIALLY BOOST DEMAND AND PRICES FOR THE OIL THAT IS TRADED (BETTER PROFIT FOR PRODUCERS, BETTER COMMISSIONS FOR BROKERS).
However if a show is popular you do not need touts anyway because all the tickets will be snapped up.

Oil prices fall over $6 on stronger dollar
NEW YORK (AP) - Oil prices tumbled more than $6 a barrel Friday _ the biggest one-day percentage plunge in nearly four years _ after a rebounding dollar and a Russian troop pullback in Georgia sparked another frenzied sell-off.
Crude's nosedive wiped out all the gains from the previous day's big rally and reaffirmed the belief that high energy prices are still cutting into consumer demand for fossil fuels in the U.S. and overseas.
Light, sweet crude for October delivery fell $6.59, or 5.43 percent, to settle at $114.59 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It was crude's largest single-day price drop percentage-wise since Dec. 27, 2004, when prices dropped 6.47 percent. In dollar terms, it was oil's steepest one-day slide since Jan. 17, 1991, just after the start of the Gulf War. Crude prices had risen for three straight days, including an almost $6 rally on Thursday.
In London, October Brent crude fell $6.24 to settle at $113.92 a barrel.
"This is extreme volatility,'' said Jim Ritterbusch, president of energy consultancy Ritterbusch and Associates in Galena, Illinois. "The fact that we erased all of yesterday's gains so fast suggests that we're still in a bear market. There's just not much demand out there.''
Crude's violent fall accelerated throughout the day on renewed bullishness in the U.S. dollar and an apparent easing of geopolitical tensions. Speaking at an economic conference Friday, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said he would "act as necessary'' to control inflation _ comments which sent the greenback higher compared to rival currencies.
A falling dollar encourages selling from investors who bought crude oil and other commodities as a hedge against inflation and weakness in the U.S. currency. The euro fell to $1.4806 in early New York trading Friday from $1.4772 late in New York the night before.
"The dollar got pounded yesterday and everybody rushed to buy commodities as a safe haven. Now the dollar is strengthening so everybody's dumping commodities again,'' said Phil Flynn, analyst at Alaron Trading Corp. in Chicago.
On Thursday, worries about Russian hostilities helped push crude prices up $5.62 to $121.18, crude's highest settlement price in over two weeks. "Obviously, yesterday's rally was overcooked and we're simply taking back some of that speculative risk premium we injected into the market,'' said Ritterbusch.
Russian troops began withdrawing from key Georgian positions on Friday, the day the pullback was to be completed under a U.S.-backed cease-fire. Still, there were conflicting statements about the extent of Russia's withdrawal.
Russia's defense minister said Friday the pullback from most Georgian territories to pro-Moscow separatist regions was complete, but U.S. State Department spokesman Robert Wood said that establishing buffer zones was "definitely not part of the agreement.''
Oil traders were still eyeing the conflict amid concerns that another flare-up of violence could sever key oil shipments bound for Western countries. Russia is the world's second largest oil exporter, providing a quarter of EU countries' crude supplies and half of their natural gas.
"It's still speculative whether Russia will use oil as a weapon to punish the West,'' said Victor Shum, an energy analyst with Purvin & Gertz in Singapore. "But it has certainly focused the market on that geopolitical threat.'' The United States and Poland signed a deal Wednesday to place a U.S. missile defense base just 115 miles (185 kilometers) from Russia's westernmost border, a provocative move that was immediately denounced by Moscow.
Russia's Foreign Ministry warned that Moscow's response to further development of the missile defense shield would go beyond diplomacy.
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has dismissed any suggestion that the missile defense interceptors to be based in Poland constitute a threat to Russia. Washington insists the base is intended only as a defense against long-distance missiles from Iran.
London-based BP PLC last week shut down its Baku-Supsa oil pipeline _ which runs through the center of Georgia from Baku in Azerbaijan to Supsa on Georgia's Black Sea coast _ because of security concerns.
The line, which has a 150,000-barrel-a-day capacity, had recently been pumping around 90,000 barrels a day, according to a BP spokeswoman.
The British oil company also said that testing was to begin Wednesday on the closed Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline _ which runs through Georgia as well _ ahead of a move to restart full operations as early as next week.
That line, owned by a consortium of energy companies led by BP, has been closed for more than two weeks after a fire on its Turkish stretch. Kurdish rebels have taken responsibility for that blaze.
In other Nymex trading, heating oil fell 16.95 cents to settle at $3.1311 a gallon, while gasoline futures fell 17.66 cents to settle at $2.8686 a gallon. Natural gas futures fell 40.9 cents to settle at $7.843 per 1,000 cubic feet. - AP

The sole purpose of speculators is to make money and the only way they can make money is if prices change, usually from price rises but sometimes from price falls also.
Thus the presence of speculators exerts greater pressure for prices to change in order for them to gain by gambling and the more speculators there are and the more powerful they are, the worse the volatility.
THUS ANYONE WHO SAYS SPECULATORS ARE A BENEFIT TO THE MARKET, HELP PROVIDE STABILITY HAS FALSE LOGIC.

The daughter of former UK prime minister Margaret Thatcher has spoken for the first time about her mother's struggle with dementia.
Baroness Thatcher, 82, had to be reminded several times her husband, Sir Denis, had died, Ms Thatcher says.
In her book, A Swim-On Part in the Goldfish Bowl: A Memoir, she tells of how her mother's "blotting-paper brain", which had always absorbed information, began to fail eight years ago - a decade after leaving power.

The former Conservative prime minister got confused between Bosnia and the Falklands during a conversation about the war in the former Yugoslavia, Ms Thatcher writes.
The contrast was all the more striking because she had always had a memory "like a website", she writes.
'Repeated questions'
Ms Thatcher goes on to describe how telltale signs of dementia then began to emerge.
"Whereas previously you would never have had to say anything to her twice, because she'd already filed it away in her formidable memory bank, Mum started asking the same questions over and over again, unaware she was doing so.
"It might be something innocuous - such as 'What time is my car coming?' or 'When am I going to the hairdresser?' - but the fact she needed to repeat them opened a new and frightening chapter in our lives."
"Sufferers look and act the same but beneath the familiar exterior something quite different is going on.
"They're in another world and you cannot enter."
Losing Sir Denis to pancreatic cancer in 2003 "was truly awful" for her mother, she says, "not least because her dementia meant she kept forgetting he was dead".
"I had to keep giving her the bad news over and over again.
"Every time it finally sank in that she had lost her husband of more than 50 years, she'd look at me sadly and say 'Oh', as I struggled to compose myself.
"'Were we all there?' she'd ask softly."
Series of strokes
On bad days her mother can "hardly remember the beginning of a sentence by the time she got to the end", she says.
But on good days there are flashes of her old self, and she retains a good memory of her time in office "as if her dementia had sharpened her powers of long-term recall", she adds.
Najib: No more fuel rebates if you don't appreciate them

PEKAN: The Government might reconsider issuing rebates if the people did not appreciate its initiatives to help reduce their financial burden, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
His response came about after a question noting that some people felt that the prices of diesel and petrol that had been reduced between eight and 22 sen a litre from Friday was too little.
Najib, who appeared to be a bit annoyed, said the people must understand that for every litre, the price was subsidised 30 sen.
He also said they have forgotten about the RM625 rebate given to owners with vehicles up to 2,000cc that was announced in June.
“The rebate, if translated, will cost between 35 sen and 40 sen a litre. If the people do not appreciate the rebates, it is better for us not issue any more in the future.
“It is better for us to transfer the allocation for the rebate to reduce the fuel price,” he told reporters after visiting an education and career exhibition here on Saturday.
Najib added that the decrease was not the market price but only a further reduction in the fuel price.
To another question, Najib said if the people still viewed the fuel price as high, the Government could always transfer the rebates to pump prices.
“However, we do not resort to such measure because if we transfer to pump prices, people driving big cars such as Bentley, Jaguar and BMW 7 series will also enjoy the subsidies.
“Is that fair?” he added.
On whether the reduction in fuel price would result in lower food prices, Najib said the Government hoped that the inflation trend would decrease.
He also said there would be further reduction but it would depend on the world fuel price.
In June, the Government announced the rebate payout to private vehicle owners. For motorcycle owners with engine capacity of up to 250cc, the rebate is RM150.

Speculators may be hit by credit crunch:
The reason why oil prices are dropping sharply may be because the credit crunch is hitting speculators who are given credit to play the market.
It is unlikely that credit to speculators continue to be free flowing when legitimate business are struggling to get credit and so increasingly speculators may find their credit taps turned off and this can only cause commodity prices including oil to decline.

If you regularly speak of style and you can sometimes confuse style for substance and substance for style then you have muddled thinking and are a person who does not know what he is talking about.
Whatever is an object or what is said or done that has no meaning, is intended for show to impress, please, intimidate or dominate is style.
Thus, if a mask or face has a scowl that is meant to intimidate or frighten then that look of the mask or face is its style not substance.
Whatever in the appearance of an article eg clothes or shoes that serves no function but is intended to attract (impress, please) is style. Thus the floral patterns of a batik shirt, creases here and there or hems that do not improve the clothes is its style. Pockets that are meant to hold articles are not style but substance but if there are too many pockets or they have impractical eg heart shaped forms then they are style.
Whatever is written or spoken that is meaningless is style. Thus ‘fourscore and seven years ago’ is a stylish for show way of saying 87 years ago.
Whatever that is different in the way a person says or does something that can only be how he consistently uses force to prolong (eg syllables), change speed and strength of force (loudness) is his style of speech or action.
THUS THERE IS STYLE IN HOW SOMETHING SAID OR DONE THAT IS ENTIRELY ABOUT HOW THE PERSON CONSISTENTLY USES FORCE TO PROLONG, CHANGE SPEED AND STRENGTH OF FORCE THAT NECESSITATES REHASHING FROM MEMORY OR A ROBOTIC EXISTENCE.

What is the purpose of style?
Whatever is style is meaningless and its only purpose is to stir the person and others’ mental forces to like or dislike the style.

The fact that you do not know what you are appreciating is style, that what you perceive as meaningful is the stirring of your mental force to like or dislike indicates you are undiscerning, you do not know what you are doing, you are practicing controlled madness without knowing it.
Thus the strips Red Indians paint on their faces to intimidate others or for religious purposes are meaningless and forms of style, for show to be seen.
Again head bands can be worn eg by Malays to depict they are warriors are a form of style. Headbands worn to keep the hair or sweat falling down by tennis players are not style but the colour and patterns they possess are forms of style.
The shape of car that improves its aerodynamics and allows it to carry the optimum passenger load is not style but meaningful but angular grooves, bulges here and there that are purposeless except that it is to make the car attractive is style.
THE REASON WHY THE PRACTICE AND APPRECIATION OF STYLE, WHETHER YOU ARE AWARE OR NOT LEADS TO CERTAIN MADNESS IS BECAUSE STYLE IS BY DEFINITION WHATEVER THAT IS IN APPEARANCE, SUBSTANCE, HOW SOMETHING IS SAID AND DONE THAT IS MEANINGLESS, SERVES NO TRUE PURPOSE EXCEPT TO STIR MENTAL FORCES TO BE ATTRACTED OR REPULSED THAT IS STRESSFUL, RESTLESS AND DISTRACTING.

How many countries have IMF bought or taken over?
I do not think IMF owns any country in the world but those who request IMF to bail them out have to follow certain rules and this is not selling the country to IMF.
I think even Britain may have in the past sought IMF assistance and been forced to take the bitter medicine IMF prescribed.

Why swearing is mad:
The reason why you swear is because you want others to accept what you swear as true.
No matter how much you swear, how much force you exert when swearing they still cannot see and know it is true but you can only convert them to believers or those who use force not seeing and knowing to accept what you swear as true.
THUS IF YOUR PURPOSE IN SWEARING IS TO MAKE OTHERS SEE AND KNOW WHAT YOU SWEAR IS TRUE, IT IS MAD BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU SWEAR, THEY STILL CANNOT SEE AND KNOW WHAT YOU SWEAR AS TRUE.
THEY CAN ONLY BELIEVE OR USE FORCE TO ACCEPT AS TRUE WHAT YOU SWORE. TO WANT OTHERS TO OVERRIDE GENUINE REASON, TO ABANDON SEEING AND KNOWING TO EMBRACE FORCE ACCEPTANCE OF WHAT YOU SWORE IS EVIL.
THOSE WHO SWEAR THINK THAT THEIR SWEARING IS PROOF THEY ARE NOT LYING AND THAT IS FALSE PERCEPTION THAT WILL END IN MAD PERCEPTION. THEIR SWEARING IS NOT PROOF WHAT THEY SAY IS TRUE.
Acting is always based on force according to a plan:
Acting is never genuine, specific to an occasion but nonspecific or generalized according to a plan driven by force.
Reason that is usually false or at best relatively true is needed to formulate the plan for your act but once the plan or program is formulated and successfully recorded in your mental jukebox, it becomes the boss in which you are a slave using force, always excessive force to carry out the instructions of the plan of your act.

NO TRUE REASON IS NEEDED IN ORDER TO ACT, IN FACT TRUE REASON IS INIMICAL TO SUCCESSFUL ACTING BECAUSE IT WILL MAKE THE PERSON SELF CONSCIOUS AND AWARE WHAT HE IS SAYING AND DOING, HOW HE IS SAYING AND DOING IS MAD, DO NOT MAKE SENSE.
ALL YOU NEED IS TO UNDERSTAND WHAT A PLAN SAYS, FASHION THE PLAN YOURSELF AND COPY IT FROM OTHERS, MEMORIZE THAT PLAN AND THEN WHEN THE OCCASION ARISE, SEARCH YOUR MENTAL JUKEBOX FOR A PLAN YOU THINK IS APT FOR THE OCCASION AND THEN SUPPLY EXCESSIVE DETERMINED FORCE TO CARRY IT OUT TO COMPLETION.
WHETHER A PERSON IS A GENUINE PERSON OR AN ACTOR IS OBJECTIVE, VISIBLE FOR EVERYONE TO SEE AND IF YOU CANNOT DISCRIMINATE, YOU DO NOT SEE OR KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SEEING.
IF A PERSON IS AN ACTOR (ANYONE WITH STYLE OR STRETCHING OF SYLLABLES, CHANGING SPEED AND LOUDNESS IS AN ACTOR) THERE IS NO TRUTH OR GENUINE REASON IN HIM, ONLY PROGRAMMED INTRUCTIONAL OR COMMAND RULES REASON THAT AT BEST MAY BE CORRECT FOR THE WRONG REASON.
Dirty tactics of this by-election:
Apparently Lim Guan Eng used his capacity as CM to declare today a holiday so that voters will vote whilst election commission (on the behest of the ruling elite) purposely chose a working day to reduce turn out perhaps so that they can stuff ballot boxes.
IT IS RELATIVELY WRONG FOR DAP TO DECLARE TODAY A HOLIDAY BUT IT WAS DEVIOUS, TOTALLY WRONG AND UNFAIR OF THE BN TO EXERT PRESSURE ON THE ELECTION COMMISSION TO CHOOSE A WORKING DAY AS POLLING DAY.
If you look at the independent candidate, he looks quite dumb and so his presence is as a spoiler. It takes money to organize a campaign even if it is a sham campaign and so there must a lot of money being spent or thrown away to support his candidacy that is obviously to sabotage Anwar’s candidacy.
THERE ARE MANY INSTANCES OF DIRTY TRICKS PERPETRATED BY THE RULING ELITE IN THIS AND ALL PREVIOUS ELECTIONS. ALL THESE ARE NOT JUSTIFIED BUT IT REFLECTS THEY ARE BAD TREES AND AS JESUS SAID, NO GOOD FRUITS CAN COME OUT OF A BAD TREE.
(Jesus was purported to have said to a fruit tree, ‘may you never bear fruit again. The reason Jesus said it may be because that was a tree that bore bad fruits and so Jesus is saying it will be destroyed and never bear fruit again)
Dr Gomez speaking falsely:
Dr Gomez (UM economist) said the country’s changing nature of politics should not be ignored as society was sending a clear message that race-based politics should be done away with.
Why is Dr Gomez speaking falsely?
It may not be race based politics but rampant corruption or both amongst other issues like flagging economy that are irking the people and so he is speaking falsely in pinpointing race politics.
Two different speed changes:
Whenever people speak, they always change speed in two ways.
They increase or decrease speed within the syllable they stretched resulting in an audible rising or falling pitch or shrillness or frequency compared to a constant pitch if they did not. Increased pitch (shrillness) or frequency is caused by their rising speed of exhalation as they articulate that syllable, reduced pitch is caused by their falling speed of exhalation as they articulate that syllable.
In addition they increase or decrease the rate at which they form each syllable, so that each syllable and thence word is formed at an accelerating or decelerating rate that they and others perceive and find meaningful or charming.
It is this force changes in exhaling with changing speed and forming syllables with changing speed that is heard or experienced by listeners even if they do not realize what it is that they are hearing and it stirs or agitates their mental forces that even if they found attractive or liking, leads to stress, restlessness, distraction, sadness and hurt.
Just as others can experience the force changes when speed changes in exhaling and forming syllables, the fabricator himself can experience the force changes that also consumes prodigious energy to cause himself stress, restlessness, distraction, sadness and hurt that are not only suffering but conditioning so that stress, restlessness, distraction, sadness and hurt becomes stronger, easier to arouse and harder to shake off and he is headed for insanity.
NOT ONLY THAT, CHANGING SPEED WITHIN A SYLLABLE AND BETWEEN SYLLABLES IS TOTALLY MEANINGLESS, IS JUST FOR SHOW INTENDED TO BE HEARD BECAUSE IT IS DEEMED IMPRESSIVE AND BECAUSE HE IS CONSTANTLY PRACTICING WHAT IS MEANINGLESS, HE IS HEADED FOR MADNESS.
IT IS IMPOSSIBLE THAT ANYONE WHO IS CONSTANTLY CHANGING SPEED WITHIN AND BETWEEN SYLLABLES AND IS NOT EVEN AWARE OF IT, LET ALONE AWARE IT IS THE SOURCE OF THE STRESS, RESTLESSNESS, DISTRACTION, SADNESS AND HURT THAT MUST BESET HIM CAN BE DISCERNING AND THUS WISE BUT HE MUST BE OF SIGNIFICANTLY LIMITED DISCERNMENT AND WISDOM AND SO BECAUSE EVEN THOSE WHO ARE VERY INTELLECTUAL AMONGST MEN CAN BE OBJECTIVELY DEMONSTRATED TO INCESSANTLY CHANGE SPEED WITHIN AND BETWEEN SYLLABLES, THEY CANNOT BE VERY DISCERNING OR WISE.
Kudos to China for great show:
It is not an accident why the writer did not use ‘praise’ but he used ‘kudos’ which is intended for style and he copied from others. He saw others use ‘kudos’, liked it, sounds ‘high class’ and so he memorized it to render it himself to impress others and so ‘kudos’ is a form of style in the substance of a speech.
I did not see the Olympic opening ceremony except for TV news excerpts, I saw the closing ceremony and I was not even moved let alone bowled over, a lot of the ceremony was not just meaningless but in an exaggerated or bizarre way.
YOU MAY BE RIGHT THE CLOSING CEREMONY WAS FULL OF MEANING THAT CAN BE UNDERSTOOD OR YOU MAY MISTAKE THE ATTRACTIVE STIRRING OF YOUR MENTAL FORCE BY THE RAZZMATAZZ ON SHOW AS MEANINGFUL AND BECAUSE IT IS MEANINGLESS AND YOU PERCEIVE IT AS MEANINGFUL OR EVERLASTING, YOU ARE HEADED FOR TORMENT.
Dr M may be right but for the wrong reasons:
Dr M & UMNO’s Muhammad Taib Muhamad have both poured scorn over Anwar’s chances of engineering a switch over of MPs.
They may both be right but never for the right reasons but for the wrong reasons.
Just by chance they could be right or the BN might play dirty eg death threats to MP, threaten prosecution for corruption, kill Anwar and so they are right that Anwar will not become PM but for the wrong reasons.
Dr M himself is a big devil and fool himself and yet he has not been convinced by Anwar to follow him and so Dr M is speaking falsely and maliciously to say, this man (Anwar) can convince even the devil to follow him.
IT IS IMPOSSIBLE THAT A PERSON LIKE DR M & TAIB MUHAMMAD CAN GET SOMETHING RIGHT FOR THE RIGHT REASON BUT THEY OFTEN GET THINGS WRONG FOR THE WRONG REASONS AND SOMETIMES THEY GET THINGS RIGHT ALWAYS FOR THE WRONG REASONS EG BY LUCK.
Dr M: Anwar won't get 30 MPs

PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim may have won the Permatang Pauh seat and claimed his stake in Parliament, but he would not be able to get 30 MPs to switch to the Opposition to form the government, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said.
The former prime minister said the Parti Keadilan Rakyat adviser might think he could "buy" MPs to jump to his camp but it would be impossible for him to "outbid the other bidders who have more money."
"The Permatang Pauh by-election results is a clear message for Barisan Nasional, Umno and its leaders. Within five months after the March 8 polls, Barisan lost the seat again, with a bigger majority than the last time.
"This is not only because the by-election was held in Permatang Pauh and one of the candidates was Anwar Ibrahim. I believe this will be the trend at other places as well and those who came out to vote on Tuesday had voted for the Opposition," he said when met at his office on Wednesday.
Anwar won the Permatang Pauh seat with a thumping majority of 15,671. His victory marks a return to Parliament for the PKR adviser after an enforced absence of 10 years.
With the victory, Anwar will take over as the parliamentary Opposition leader. The PKR de facto leader last won the Permatang Pauh seat in 1995 with a majority of 23,515 votes.
Dr Mahathir predicted that with Anwar back in Parliament, he would be making "life very difficult" for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
"I don't think Abdullah is a match for Anwar. This man (Anwar) can convince even the devil to follow him. He is going to raise all kinds of issues and questions and will demand and pressure the Prime Minister for answers. It is going to be a tough time for Barisan," he said.
Dr Mahathir said Abdullah, his deputy Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and other leaders should not close their "ears and eyes" to the people's message and neither should they blame the Permatang Pauh defeat on sabotage or other elements.
"The people sent a message at the March 8 polls and again in the Permatang Pauh by-election. Leaders should sit up and take stock of this. They want changes and they want it quick. Not in June 2010.
"If changes are made two years from now, then Umno will face an uphill task to gain strength and the people's confidence. If they fail to do so, then Barisan can expect defeat in the 13th general election," he said, adding he was willing to come back to the party's fold and work towards reviving it if Abdullah step down before the 2010 deadline.
He said Umno should be concerned that it was losing in popularity and appeal, claiming that even DAP had become more appealing to Malays, referring to former Transparency International Malaysia chairman Tunku Aziz Tunku Ibrahim becoming the DAP's latest recruit.
South Korean Monks Protest Pro Christian Bias:
