The difference between like and excitement:

Every mind has a battery or capacitor that can be charged to store electricity that can be triggered to discharge or be released at reacting electrodes. When positive and negative charges are released at opposite terminals as a result of sensual provocation current flows and like or attraction is experienced. If both terminals release positive or negative charges repulsion occurs that results in unpleasant dislike.

Excitement occurs when the triggered like eg caused by sight of food or the opposite sex triggers the person's force of action to become restless that can become very strong, irresistible driving him to do or say things to satisfy his like. Similarly rage is triggered dislike spurring his force of action to become restless, wanting to attack the target of dislike.

EXCITEMENT IS NOT JUST LIKE BUT IT'S STIRRED LIKE OR ATTRACTION TRIGGERING HIS FORCE OF ACTION TO BE AROUSED, RESTLESS, WANT TO DO OR SAY SOMETHING TO FULFILL HIS LIKE OR ATTRACTION.

SIMILARLY ANGER AND RAGE IS A COMBINED STIRRING OF DISLIKE PLUS STIRRING OF HIS FORCE OF ACTION TO ATTACK.

A person without style can be stirred to like something or someone but he cannot be stirred to be excited to do something bad like rape. Similarly he may dislike but he is not stirred to attack or retaliate with words or fists.

Like and dislike are attractive and repulsive electrical discharge in the brain that can be triggered that's an important source for action. Thus something seen triggers like and like triggers excitement, lust, greed or covetousness. Something happens and it triggers dislike that triggers anger, disgust, indignation, hate.

Four bases for actions:

There are four bases of action, feelings, memory, emotion and understanding.

People avoid pain and seek pleasure. This is fee based action.

Nothing in this world is good for you:

You are by far your own worst enemy, a lot of your present day and future suffering is unnecessarily created by you or you permit others to inflict suffering on you and yet you think there are things and people in this world good for you? Even your dearest ones are directly or indirectly inflicting harm and suffering on you with their speech and actions, everything in this world including the foods and things you love, heat, cold, noises, light and darkness are harming or endangering you. The wise person thus seeing and knowing, no longer harming himself with his style and deeds, not wanting to suffer now and later has no choice but to disengage, isolate himself, depart from this world never to return.

NOTHING IN THIS WORLD IS GOOD, HEAT AND COLD, LIGHT AND DARKNESS, EVERYONE IS HARMING YOU AND TRAPPING YOU TO RETURN HERE TO SUFFER AND DIE ENDLESSLY MOSTLY AS ANIMALS, YOU ARE BY FAR YOUR WORST ENEMY RESPONSIBLE FOR MOST OF YOUR DAILY AND FUTURE SUFFERING. Only actions (mental or thoughts, speech and physical actions) that are amalgams of record replay memory and force are liable for insanity, things without memory and force (truths) are not liable for insanity.

The only way a person truly protects himself:

The only way a person can protect himself is to stop doing or saying things unnecessarily that cause daily suffering and incur debts to be repaid as suffering in the future and to minimize exposure to others and this world eg heat and cold, noise that harms him.

The less you think, say and do the less you suffer and incur karma that leads to future suffering. Foremost the person's style inflicts suffering in sadness, hurt, confusion, conflict, fear, stress, restlessness and distraction, it also incurs debt that leads to repayment by harming others.

The wise person minimizes exposure to others and the environment to minimize his daily suffering that endangers and gradually destroys him. He's able to see how others and nature is harming him. He is not in love with nature nor hates nature.
