A Vicious Circle Tightly Enforced:
Many ordinary people or actors speak in a harsh, explosive or stabbing manner (and often do not realize they do). They are always acting because speaking explosively creates stress and is therefore going against themselves, driven by emotion in the name of intimidating or dominating others.
It is not possible for a calm, clearly thinking mind that does not go against itself to speak explosively.
Such explosive speech can only issue from restless, distressed, disturbed minds. Anyone who speaks explosively will stress himself apart stressing anyone within earshot. This is a universal law and yet fools keep infracting. This stress created by speaking explosively affects his mind to force him to further lash out by speaking explosively in cycles of foolish positive feedback until, in time, speaking explosively and the stress it engenders have a vice like grip on him. He foolishly does not realize that he is now like a fly stuck on a spider’s web. The spider will later approach and consume him. His stress from speaking explosively will escalate and one day he will be stressed and restless in a mad way, seemingly for little reason.
When a person grimaces, it is always an act that may be driven by stress to exaggerate and exhibit his stress for others to see or faked to deceive (that he is concerned for them, that he is sick and wants a sick leave from the doctor). Whatever the motive, grimacing itself creates stress which impacts on that mind that grimaces driving it to further act.
When a person rushes, it is always an act and may be driven by stress he experiences or it may be faked to impress others how efficient or purposeful he is. As a result of rushing, he becomes stressed providing impetus for further rushing that becomes addictive.
When a person smiles, it is always an act that may be driven by stress (to conceal stress from others), to exhibit one’s agitated happiness or excitement for material or sensual gains (eg someone praised you) or to be nice (please others). All actors act constantly and they are therefore under constant stress and they create more stress for themselves by hiding behind a faked smile. Whatever the drive behind smiling, smiling itself creates stress that drives the actor to distraction, a condition that promotes acting and deter non acting.
Stretching syllables, a form of acting is not something people do occasionally but (to one who discerns) virtually with every syllable they utter, sometimes subtly (eg sibilant ‘sss’ or ‘wWhaaTtt’ instead of ‘what’) other times outrageously (‘ppleeeaassseee’ instead of ‘please’), full of force. Although stretching syllables is an option and not inevitable when speaking, it is now involuntary, automatic, cannot be helped in actors by force of habit and imitation of others around them.
Whenever a person stretches his syllables (an act to impress others, everybody does it), he creates stress unnecessarily for himself (stretching syllables take effort & consumes energy) and because he does it all the time, it creates conflict leading to tension and the threat of loss of control. Further because he himself is stressing himself by stretching syllables, ill will or anger towards himself and others he is forced to stretch syllables to, is created.
Because emotions (anger & ill will), stress, tension and restlessness are quick to arise and slow to fade and he keeps stretching his syllables, the actor is constantly besieged by emotions (anger), stress, tension and restlessness that in turn prevents his mind from being calm & mindfully in control but instead it is distracted, scattered and submissive to harmful external incitement to keep acting.
Not only has the actor inducted himself into an acting cycle that is extremely difficult to extricate himself (unless he has concern for his own and others’ suffering created by his acting, awareness it will not remain static but leads to inevitable crisis and dedication), because everywhere he is surrounded by fellow actors bombarding him with stress inducing and clear thinking obscuring harsh acting, it is as if he is constantly subjected to mind numbing brainwashing to keep acting and become amnesic about peaceful none acting.
HENCE, ONCE A PERSON STARTS ACTING (STRETCHING HIS SYLLABLES), HE CREATES STRESS, TENSION, RESTLESSNESS & ANGER THAT ARE INIMICAL TO CALM CLARITY OF MIND ESSENTIAL TO NOT ACT BUT INSTEAD THEY KEEP THE MIND SCATTERED, RESENTFUL AND VULNERABLE TO INCITEMENT BY OTHERS TO ACT, PROMOTING CONTINUED ACTING WITH EMOTIONAL AVERSION TO REVERT TO NON ACTING. ONCE A PERSON ACTS, THE MOMENTUM TO KEEP ACTING IS INEXORABLE, SELF REINFORCING, HABIT FORMING AND SOON THE ACTOR FORGETS STRETCHING SYLLABLES IS NOT SOMETHING INTRINSIC BUT LEARNT BY IMITATING OTHERS AND INITIALLY FORCING HIMSELF BUT HE IS NOW FORCED TO.
A CALM & CLEARLY THINKING MIND IS NOT CONDUCIVE TO ACTING BECAUSE IT IS TRULY HAPPY AND TO ACT WOULD BE TO DESTROY THAT SERENE CALM. BY NOT ACTING, THE CALM, CLEARLY THINKING MIND IS MAINTAINED.
A STRESSED, DISTRACTED, DISTURBED MIND IS CONDUCIVE TO ACTING AND ACTING PERPETUATES THIS STRESSED, DISTRACTED, DISTURBED MIND TO CONTINUE ACTING, TO SINK DEEPER INTO ACTING.
ONCE THIS VIRTUOUS CIRCLE (CALMNESS & NOT ACTING MUTUALLY REINFORCING EACH OTHER) IS BREACHED BY STRESSFULLY FORCING ONESELF TO ACT, ONE DESCENDS INTO A VICIOUS CIRCLE OF ACTING WHERE STRESS AND ACTING ARE MUTUALLY REINFORCING, NOT IN DYNAMIC EQUILIBRIUM BUT IN SLOWLY TIGHTENING CIRCLES THAT WILL STRANGLE THAT FOOL AND SEND HIM EVEN INTO ETERNAL PUNISHMENT.
Actors are ordinarily no longer conscious that the ways they behave or speak are forcefully acted, even faked not natural or true. For instance, they believe their social smiles are genuine when they are always fakes, not exaggerations. Despite constant stress and tension that can often become unbearable, they believe in the genuineness of their behavior and are blinded not to see the infallible link between their conduct and their suffering. Only when an actor is forced to learn a new role is he conscious somewhat or more conscious of the stress and effort of having to learn a new act that he is not familiar with. He is aware of the hesitancy, awkwardness and stress when he tries to play the new role of doctor or clinical medical student. There is not surprisingly inevitable resistance and reluctance in all actors to learn new roles because all new acts are new ways of stressfully going against oneself and to learn and adopt a new role is to stressfully force oneself to learn and adopt a new stress. However, once he has successfully incorporated the new role into his acting repertoire, it is back to business as usual, toiling under stress and struggling to cope, hoping no new roles are required of him.
ANYONE WHO WISHES TO ESCAPE THE WHIRLPOOL OF ACTING HAS A MOUNTAIN OF PAST HABIT FORCE OR IMPULSE OF ACTING TO CLIMB PLUS THE INCITEMENT OF OTHERS EVERYWHERE TO CONTINUE ACTING & FEW WILL HAVE THE DEDICATION OR CONSCIENCE TO PERSIST, PREFERRING TO COMPROMISE (NOT REALIZING THE WOEFUL CONSEQUENCES) BY TONING DOWN THEIR ACTING. AS I SEE, PEOPLE EVERYWHERE HAVE ONLY TURNED DOWN THE VOLUME OF THEIR ACTING, NOT STOPPED THEIR ACTING BECAUSE EVERYONE HAS DONE SO AND THEY DO NOT WANT TO SUFFER, ALTHOUGH THEY DON’T WANT TO BE TOTALLY TRUE EITHER. IF HE IS DETERMINED, HE MUST NOT PERMIT STRESS AND RESTLESSNESS TO BUILD UP DAILY UNTIL THEY ARE OVERWHELMING BUT HE MUST SET ASIDE GREED AND CONCERNS FOR THE WORLD TO MONITOR HIS STRESS LEVELS SO THAT HE CAN SWIFTLY NIP STRESS AND RESTLESNESS IN THE BUD BY SECLUSION AND RESTORATIVE MEDITATION TO RESTORE CALM THAT IS CONDUCIVE TO ASSERTING ATTENTIVE SELF CONTROL THEREBY SHEDDING MINDLESS STRESSFUL ACTING. BY MINDFULLY REFRAINING FROM SMILING AND STRETCHING ONE’S SYLLABLES, ONE SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCES ENDOGENOUS STRESS CREATION SO THAT ONE CAN BETTER COPE WITH THE BOMBARDMENT OF STRESS FROM OTHER PEOPLE’S ACTING.
Because everyone is suffering and they cannot be true and good to help themselves and they are in hell now and heading for even greater hell, they want to make others suffer too by speaking and doing things explosively to incite others. When others lash back, they too will be addicted and together they go to hell. Only the wise few will learn to meditate to make their minds rock steady not to be drawn in. The Devil and the vast majority in the world are incorrigible and it is their desire to con you to defile yourself.
(AT FIRST YOU FORCED YOURSELF TO SMILE, GRIN, FROWN, SCOWL, WINK, NOD, SHAKE YOUR HEAD, OPEN YOUR EYES WIDELY TO FAKE AMAZEMENT TO PLEASE OR IMPRESS OTHERS BUT IN TIME, THE STRESS {DUE TO YOUR ACTING} BUILDS UP, BECOMES RESIDENT, YOUR FACIAL EXPRESSIONS HAVE BECOME WELL PRACTICED AND THEN YOU ARE NO LONGER FORCING BUT FORCED HELPLESSLY BY YOUR OVERPOWERING STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND EMOTIONS TO FACIALLY EXPRESS YOURSELF. EVEN WITHOUT AWARENESS, EVEN IF YOU DID NOT WANT TO, YOU WILL SMILE OR WINK OR NOD BEFORE YOU KNOW YOU HAVE DONE SO.
WHAT ACTORS DO NOT REALIZE THAT THIS IS ONLY AN INTERMEDIATE STEP IN THE PROCESS OF INCREASING AUTONOMY, BYPASSING THEIR INCREASINGLY TENNUOUS SELF CONTROL ENDING ACUTELY OR IN OLD AGE WITH HELPLESS MANIA, MAD VIOLENT IMPULSES AND DEPRESSION.)
ALL EXPRESSIONS ARE ACTS:
ALL EXPRESSIONS, BE THEY FACIAL (SMILE OR GRIMACE OR PUZZLED), GESTURES OR POSTURES (EG SEXY, PROVOCATIVE FEMALE POSE) ARE ACTED, NOT ONLY IN THAT THEY ARE UNNECESSARY BUT THEY ARE CARRIED OUT WITH EXCESSIVE FORCE THAN IS IN TRUTH NEEDED TO PERFORM.
NO MATTER HOW PROUD OR DEFIANT YOU ARE, YOUR EXPRESSIONS EXPEND PRODIGIOUS ENERGY, CREATES STRESS, CONFLICT LEADING TO RESTLESSNESS, MAD IMPULSES AND DEPRESSION. IT HURTS YOURSELF AS IT HURTS OTHERS AND YOU HAVE KARMIC DEBTS, NOT MERIT ON YOUR HANDS.
STILL, THE IMPULSE TO EXPRESS IS IRRESISTIBLE, PEOPLE EVERYWHERE EXTORT IT AND EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE STRESSED, SOMETIMES EVEN UNBEARABLY SO, IT IS EASIER TO ‘COPE’ AND HAVE FAITH YOU ARE BEING GOOD IN EXPRESSING YOURSELF, NOT HARMING YOURSELF AND OTHERS. BUT WHEN YOU UNEXPECTEDLY FALL INTO A PIT YOU NEVER IMAGINED YOU WOULD, THEN YOU WILL RUE IN BITTER REGRET TOO LATE EVEN FOR AN EON THAT YOU HAVE BEEN TRICKED BY YOURSELF AND OTHERS.
The fact that the impulse to express oneself facially, by gestures and posture is irresistible, even if actors wanted they cannot stop themselves from smiling, grimacing, gesticulating, nodding their heads in response to challenges from others, when not expressing is easeful and expressing is stressful indicates that restlessness, loss of control or enslavement to external triggers is the default state in actors, not stillness, control and imperturbability. This state of restlessness, distractibility is not static but progresses with chronic acting leading to mad restlessness, mad impulses and depression.
Ordinary people do not realize they are forcefully acting all the time, forcefully hammering their minds with mind warping stress and degrading it. Their minds may already have become permanently warped and they are headed for certain & total degradation and they are still foolishly enchanted by their acting. A lot of people, including those who think they are very good, will not believe there is cane for them until they see the cane when if they observe the stress and mad impulses that they are saddled, they should know there is a cane in their future.
Uncertainty Is Not A Certainty But Its Suffering & Sin Is:
Many do not realize they share the stubborn human wrong view that uncertainty is blameless and surely one cannot be certain about things, how can one ever be sure in this world?
Uncertainty the Buddha said is a one of three lower fetters (plus self identity views & faith in rites & precepts) bonding that person to future states of woe.
It is because people can never let their yes be yes only, they are never true to themselves, never true to others, they never (not sometimes) mean what they say or say what they mean, which is why they are uncertain of themselves, others and things in this world. When people think they let their yes be yes or mean what they say, they say it (or do it) with force, with emphasis, with passion and that is not truly meaning what they say. It is the constant shadow of doubt that is of their own making that is the source of all their uncertainty.
Not only are people uncertain of themselves, they create karma for themselves by deliberately making others uncertain, asking them to be sure of themselves (are you sure, is that so, really?), pretending not to hear when they do, forcing others to repeat themselves and believe what they said clearly was not clear (har??, ehh? what did you say???), they keep asking the same question when the answer has been given.
Uncertainty may be false, a delusion and certainty more certain than sinful people think otherwise Jesus would not be able to tell Peter that before the cock crows, he will deny him thrice or ‘when you were young, you girded yourself and walked where you would; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish to go (to be crucified)’. The future cannot be absolutely uncertain if a Buddha can say that in three months hence, he will pass away or a monk can pass away by elevating himself and reducing himself to a pile of dust after bidding the Buddha goodbye. As Jesus said, if you have faith, you can tell the mountain to move and it will be done. It is because men have no faith but they have all the faith in their sinful ways and the uncertainties of the world that they cannot move mountains. Uncertainty is not a blameless fait accompli but the inevitable affliction or disease of those who are not truthful but only pretend and believe they are.
Vulnerability To Provocation Is Not Blameless & Suffering:
When a TV cameraman approached a group of teenagers in an audience, a few girls started to stir (involuntary unintended acting). Some boys were also provoked but they pretended that they were not bothered by looking away or not looking and suppressing their facial expressions (conscious, voluntary, intended acting).
In this situation, a person not given to acting, who has meditated correctly will be aware of the TV cameraman’s approach that may even be deliberately provocative but his rock like mind enables him not to be stirred nor does he has to force himself to act unruffled.
To be vulnerable to provocations is not blameless but indicates a mind that is not its master but a slave to influences & incitement. If you are vulnerable to provocations, you can be provoked to get angry, to become greedy or lustful and commit wrongs. People everywhere disturbed by stress and driven by ill will, behave and speak in ways that incite others (creating karma for themselves) and those who are drawn in will be party to sin. Even if you have been provoked to lash out, in lashing out you create stress and karma for yourself.
Can you hypnotize a Buddha? He said no beings in this world can possess his mind. It is only defiling people who are vulnerable to provocation, slaves to sensations, not masters of their own minds, capable of making belief or vulnerable to suggestions that can be hypnotized.
It is possible to cultivate a mind that is steady, calm, clearly thinking and cannot be provoked by others to become emotional or retaliate or react. Nowadays when people spit or display violent reactions that are likely directed at me, I remain unruffled, with little and often no urge to retaliate because my mind is truly calm and I do not wish to exit calm by getting upset (hurt or angry). When people smile at me, I have no urge to smile or therefore no urge to suppress. Joyful is the man who is a master of himself able to determine whether to respond or remain silent. Years ago, I would be lying if I said I am not hurt or angry when someone spat venomously in my presence but now, my mind in a blissful state that is not easily ruffled, I would be foolish to consciously exit my calm to become hurt or angry.
If you don’t meditate to make your mind steady, not vulnerable to provocations, you will suffer because there are many provocateurs (including so called good people) out to make others suffer and unless you can see the evil or concealed intentions of others clearly and elevate your mind above the fray, you will suffer. It is possible to make one’s mind blissfully immune to provocations without needing to apply force to one’s mind but it can only be done by meditating to make one’s mind rock steady and serene.
This world, including its beings (and animals) is very provocative and intrusive. Everywhere, people talk (and make noises eg revving their vehicles, cough or sneeze frequently, unnecessarily in blasting manner) in harsh, loud, explosive manners that provokes anyone within earshot to be stressed and respond one way (lash out) or another (force themselves to bear). The only way out of this impasse is to not act, practice conscientiously meditation so that one’s mind enters a serene state not to be drawn into a fray.
Even if actors wanted, they can never experience this serene, stilled mind that is like a rock, un-agitated in the midst of what causes agitation in others. He does not suffer now and does not suffer later. Be proud of your responsiveness and suffer now as people bombard you with stress you are forced to respond and your suffering will deepen in the future.
IT IS BECAUSE ACTORS ARE NOT HAPPY, ONLY ACTING HAPPY, THEY ARE STRESSED, THEIR ANGER HELD AT SHORT FUSE OR SHORT LEASH, THEY ARE SENSITIVE AND PROUD THAT WHEN SOMEONE SPITS AT THEM, IT IS THEIR OVERWHELMING IMPULSE TO EXPERIENCE HURT AND THEY WILL THEREFORE LASH OUT OR PAINFULLY RESTRAIN THEMSELVES. THEY WILL BE ONLY KIDDING THEMSELVES AND OTHERS TO SAY OR ACT AS IF THEY ARE NOT HURT OR ANGERED WHEN THEY ARE SPAT ON. ONLY A NOBLE PERSON FULLY MASTER OF HIS MIND AND RESIDING IN TRUE SERENITY CAN CONSCIOUSLY CHOOSE NOT TO DESCEND FROM HIS ROCK LIKE SERENE MENTAL STATE TO GET INVOLVED, HURT AND ANGRY. ORDINARY PEOPLE ARE PRETENDERS, STRESSED, SENSITIVE TO INSULTS AND CANNOT HELP EXPLODING LIKE A VOLCANO WHEN PROVOKED. LIKE A CRAB, THEY WILL SNAP AT ANY STICK POKED AT THEM.
As a mountain of rock is unmoving,
firmly established,
so a monk, with the ending of delusion,
like a mountain, doesn't quake.
Unconsciously Nice:
I asked this school teacher who is a spinster, who is having term holidays in an unemotional, matter of fact way without conveying any derogatory intention whether she went anywhere for her current holidays and she said “No” emphatically with a laugh.
What is so funny about not going anywhere for a holiday? Perhaps she is defensive or guilty about not going anywhere, and is laughing to deny her sensitivity. When I told her that her blood pressure was a bit high, she said excitedly, “Wow! So high??” This is again an unnecessarily exaggerated or even faked reaction. It is little wonder she has high blood pressure when she is constantly forcefully, emotionally reacting in all her interactions.
Clenched Fists & Teeth:
If actors observed themselves they will detect moments when their fists, teeth or forearms are clenched or in a state of (unnecessary) tension or they fold their arms tightly (clenched) across their chests, they drum their fingers restlessly, shake their legs restlessly.
All these emanate from tension within which in turn is derived from acting. The constant forcing themselves to go against themselves to exaggerate and fake and the constant counterforce to restrain themselves creates tension that is reflected in clenched fists or jaws. What actors do not realize is that such tension is habituating, becoming increasingly easier to arouse and shake off and they are headed for an appointment with mad restlessness, mad tension, insanity and depression.
Every step in the process of acting, be it spoken or done, is attended by tension resulting from conflict. From initiation of an act when force must be used to overcome self resistance in order to initiate the act to deceive, impress, please, dominate or intimidate others, force must continue to be applied against the forceful resistance that must dog the act because going against oneself is very harmful if not subject to forceful control.
Hence, the process of acting, from start to finish, be it spoken or done is a constant battle between the force of going against oneself and the force of restrain and control. To give up resisting or not resist one’s going against oneself is to succumb entirely by going mad or suicide. This is why acting is always stressful, accompanied by conflict and tension that actors strive to suppress and deny, refuse to see the connection.
If what one said or did is true, not tampered, not forced to go against oneself as in acting, then there is no need for force to restrain what is not forced and there will be peace, no conflict and tension from start to finish of one’s speech or deed.
Hence the non actor’s speech and action is always smoothly effortlessly rising thence to be maintained evenly and then smoothly ending, without hesitation.
The actor’s speech and action, reflecting the constant resistance or inevitable opposition dogging that going against oneself, is always filled with detectable force, starts explosively or suddenly, is jerky (cog wheeling can always be detected just like the sweep of a watch’s second hand is never smooth but by small steps that can be detected by the observant), excessively forcefully loud or soft, accelerates and decelerates rapidly in speed and loudness intra sentence and never constant but fluctuating.
(Those who remember Ronald Reagan’s way of speech might picture him speaking thus, “I (shake, shake, shake of head and hands), owe (shake, shake, shake), my (shake, shake, shake), life (shake, shake, shake), to God (shake, shake, shake). This is the actor’s jerky speech)
Tampering With What One Says Or Does:
Whenever a person acts, he must take what he wants to say or do and tamper with it using force (you cannot tamper anything without using force) in order to deceive, please, impress, dominate or intimidate others. This is called exaggerating. When you fake, you must forcefully concoct up words or deeds that you really don’t want to say or do, eg pretend to read a book when you don’t want to read a book but to block off the view of the passenger facing you.
Hence, an actor can NEVER let his yes be yes only but must take what he wants to say or do and give it a twist, a spin, some zip, some force, jazz it, stretch the syllables, stretch the act.
The Forces Behind Acting:
Ordinary people, including most children have long ago graduated from having to consciously force themselves to act to being forced unconsciously to act.
And what are the forces that force them to act?
They are their emotions (anger, ill will, lust, greed, jealousy, pride, shame, fear), their stress or restlessness or seething tension. Because actors experience stress, tension and restlessness all the time they are never fully in control of themselves but distracted to become submissive, even in those who are brutes are actually not in command but on the back foot, defensive rather than dominating or presiding over situations that arise and bombarded by powerful acting incitements by others, they are harassed or compelled to act as they have always done.
It is these forces (emotions, stress, tension, restlessness) that force actors to act, often in an impulsive fashion that once triggered, must be carried out. These forces are abetted by the actor being surrounded everywhere by everyone who bombard him with their stressful acting, who expect, extort and reward acting from him.
Whitewash:

If you read a chronicle of Reagan’s past, it is far from flattering. He was the poor son of an alcoholic father who graced many B grade movies and whose star had long faded when he was rescued by politics (governor of California). His greatest asset is his ability to act (at great cost in secret stress and internal tension) or put on a show of being respectable, confident and charming in a way deluded Americans are enamored with.
He cruelly mocked hippies as looking like Tarzan, talking like Jane and smelling like cheetah (with grave karma and in his latter years, it could also be said he looked like a man but acted like a vegetable), exaggerated when he said environmentalists will only be happy when they turn the White House into a bird nest (misrepresenting environmentalists as loonies). As he denigrated others (hippies), he himself was far from moral and righteous. Jesus said you will be judged for every careless word, yet many will still utter things foolishly and emotionally (nor can they help it), not realizing they have a reckoning with payment that is much more painful and everlasting than their impetuous, ill thought utterances.
In the picture above, he is staring as if lost, in a daze (of falsehood, imagination, make belief) a harbinger of his Alzheimer, the face heavily, permanently creased from lifelong ‘expressing himself’ or acting. There is stress and suffering of a chronic, increasing nature written all over his face that fellow actors ignore or fail to see (and are themselves foolishly heading for). He is no longer forcing himself to act, but emotions and ingrained stress and tensions in his mind forces him to grimace or screw up his face as depicted.

"This is a person who said he believed in balanced budgets but ran the biggest deficit in history," she said.
Reagan was dishonest, a sin, will suffer as a result and she is laughing at his sins, encouraging Reagan and others to believe it is OK or even fun to lie. Isn’t she sick or has a perverted sense of humor? She will be even more sick, unable to laugh when her sins ripen. A lot of people have severely underestimated their debts due because they have no eye for the truth. Since ordinary people have no eye for the truth and still do not despite being told, how can they usurp the Spirit of Truth?

Donald Duck too is an actor, which is not surprising because he was created and voiced by actors. Apart from his loud, insistent, harsh voice that stresses not soothes, he is pictured above not just walking but walking briskly with style and unnecessary force, twisting his body excessively whilst smiling, opening his eyes excessively and talking. You cannot mindfully walk but act walking when you are smiling and talking at the same time. Donald Duck is a suffering sinner, no saint.

The Buddha never indulged in any philosophical speculations but in many ways discouraged them because if you can see the truth, all is clear and there is nothing to speculate or be philosophical about. All philosophy is pretentious, false and dependant on a deluded mindset that thinks there are fascinating things to ruminate and mentally weave.

The Buddha uttered many verses not to be poetic, not to rhyme for show but to convey clear messages unlike poets who indulge in flourishes and the play of words for show or to impress others.

How Come:
How come psychiatrists never tell their patients, “I think the trouble with you is that you act too much, you are too nice? Try cutting down on your forceful exaggerations and faking. You can start by wiping that semi permanent false smile off your face forever and work to stop stretching your syllables.” If any patient truly stopped smiling (even mentally) or stretching his syllables, he will achieve a peace of mind denied all the best medical treatments, all the philosophizing and piety in this world.
A Big Oil Coverup?
According to this article, some oil experts think that the Saudi promise to boost oil by 3 million barrels per day is empty talk because it cannot boost output by more than 300,000 barrels. Official reserve estimates by governments and oil companies are faulty or lies, just as Shell was recently forced to admit. The world may be running out of oil, North Sea oil production is dropping by an accelerating rate and oil need to rise to $182 not the current $42 per barrel to reduce demand to allow for a switch to alternatives. But because mankind cannot face the truth (there may be profiteering interests to keep quiet), there may be a sudden crisis.
Is the world's oil running out fast?
The Association for the Study of Peak Oil (ASPO), a group of oil executives, geologists, investment bankers, academics and others has been warning the world of high oil prices, and the ensuing fallout, for some years now.
The end of cheap oil
They are united by one idea that global oil production is about to peak, which in turn will signal the permanent end of cheap oil.
Who hurts when prices explode?
"Oil is far too cheap at the moment," says Mr Simmons.
"The figure I'd use is around $182 a barrel. We need to price oil realistically to control its demand. That is because global production is peaking."
The adherents of the peak oil theory warn the decline of world oil output will force oil prices higher for good, and that the knock on effects could be catastrophic.
"In my opinion, there will be no linear change," says Iran's Ali Bakhtiari. "There will only be sudden explosive change."
Much of ASPO's predictions stem from the calculations of Dr Campbell.
His work on oil reserves suggested that many official oil data are either flawed or downright lies.
Scandals like the 23% of 'lost' reserves at Royal Dutch Shell have helped to boost interest in his work.
"Many reserve figures are highly questionable," says Dr Campbell.
"Many great oil fields are increasingly old and inefficient. "
'Difficult times'
"For the time being there is no spare capacity. But we expect demand to increase by the fourth quarter (of the year) by three million barrels a day."
He pinned his hopes for an increase in production on troubled Saudi Arabia.
"If Saudi does not increase supply by 3 million barrels a day by the end of the year, it will be very difficult. "
Can Saudi deliver?
But even Mr Birol (Industry spokesman) admitted that Saudi production was "about flat".
Three million extra barrels a day would mean a huge 30% leap in output in just a few months.
When BBC News Online asked if this giant increase in production was actually possible rather than simply a desire he refused to answer.
Asking other delegates whether such a steep increase was feasible, the answers were unambiguous: "absolutely out of the question," "completely impossible," and "3 million barrels - never, not even 300,000."
Some recent figures tend to back up ASPO's outlook.
North Sea production is declining at an increasing rate, having peaked in 1999.
Not at the predicted flat rate of decline of 7%, but gradually accelerating from 7% to 8.5% to 11%.
And the number of major new oil fields discovered around the world fell to zero for the first time in 2003.
"We need transparency with the figures," says Dr Campbell.
"Consumer countries need to be able to audit fields, but at the same time 'flat earth' economists who believe in endless growth need to change their ideas."
And Dr Campbell has a dire warning: "If the real figures were to come out there would be panic on the stock markets, in the end that would suit no one."
How Actors Always Use Excessive Force:

A non-actor can swing his arms with the same speed, through the same arc of movement as Donald Duck above yet he will ALWAYS use significantly less force and thence less energy & stress.
This extra force than is truly needed to accomplish an action at a given speed comes from two sources; intentional and unintentional:
Intentional Or Deliberate: Force or power is always worshipped by goats, so actors have this delusion that the more redundant force they apply to or insert into whatever they say or do (including so called ‘love’), damn the stress, at least whilst it is bearable, the more impressive they will be. Hence, when actors swing their arms, they deliberately add as much force as possible, even way above that needed to overcome self resistance always engendered in going against oneself to act, to appear as stylish or confident or accomplished as they possibly can but because they have added considerable extra, useless force for show more than is necessary at that speed, that force must be stressfully controlled or countered or it will push the swing faster than even their large egos desire. In other words, this extra, useless force actors applied in their swings, for show, must be stressfully restrained or the swing will flail violently or become too fast demanded by the laws of physics. This is the stiff, clenched arm swing as opposed to the relaxed arm swing at the same speed.
This intentional, deliberately applied useless, extra, for show force, even above self resistance that is mandatory in all acting, may be the major reason why actors use much more force to accomplish the same movement.
Unintentional Or Unconscious Or Automatic: This extra force as compared to the non-actor is to overcome self resistance because whatever an actor does (or say) is NEVER unopposed, but is always carried out after overcoming self resistance to go against himself to please or impress others, driven by emotion or stress. This self resistance, though overcame to initiate the action will reflexively continue to dog that action until it ends ascendant when that action stops. (If self resistance does not end ascendant then the going against oneself action would have continued, inflicting greater harm or stress)
A non-actor performing exactly the same movement is not driven by emotion or stress to go against himself to please or impress others and has no conflict, his mind calm, he can do it with just the necessary force. Where a non actor just passively does or says what he wants to say or do, the actor must intervene, apply force to act out what he wants to say or do.
Another way to explain the extra force needed is that acting is largely unconscious, automatic and constant (never totally ceases in that person) with ever present conflict and tension both in his mind and his musculature. The actor’s muscles are always more tensed (like the sprinter poised on his starter blocks) and that tension can be swiftly escalated whenever the actor is provoked into action. Both at apparent rest and in action, there is constant muscle tension that can be rapidly ratcheted up just as there is mental tension between the forces of going against self to impress and the forces of protective self restrain. It is this agonist-antagonist tension absent in non actors that compels the actor to use more force to accomplish a given motion. It is like the actor performs his task under viscous water whereas the non actor performs the same task in air with much less resistance. Every action by an actor is accompanied by tension that escalates the faster the action is whereas the same action in a non actor is without tension, without escalating tension as he speeds it up.
Similarly, it is possible for a non-actor to speak with the same loudness as an actor and yet use considerably less force and energy as actors. For the same volume, the actor is blasting, with saliva flying from his mouth, his neck and face straining, his body shaking, struggling to retain control. It is possible to say something as loud as the actor but calmly, with total control, mindfully without the body and face shaking and saliva flying.
When Jesus called out from the shore to his disciples on a boat enquiring whether they caught any fish, he may be speaking loudly but using much less force and without harshness than an actor driven by stress and emotion (to show his fabricated anxious concern) would. To the undiscerning, he thinks, Jesus shouts, I also shout, so what is the difference, eh? To the discerning, Jesus can speak just as loud but there is less force, no malice, no stretched syllables, no emotion and harshness as compared to the stressed, harassed actor.
Whereas an actor (always, unconsciously) hollers to impress others with his anxious concern with stretched syllables, “hHaavve youu fFoounNd aAnye fFiiiisshhh???”, Jesus may say with the same loudness, unemotionally, without stretched syllables, “Have you found any fish?”
I can tap a computer keyboard at the same speed as an actor and will ALWAYS use much less force and energy, generating less noise and wearing the keys less compared to an actor trying to demonstrate to himself or anybody watching his prowess. Watch many actors typing and they are literally attacking or stabbing the keyboard.
ACTORS ALWAYS USE EXCESSIVE FORCE MORE THAN IS NEEDED FOR ANY GIVEN MOTION AND SPEECH, WHATEVER THEY DO OR SAY, BE IT ‘MAKING LOVE’ OR JUST THINKING TO THEMSELVES (ACTORS ALWAYS THINK ACTIVELY WITH MORE FORCE THAN NON ACTORS WHO THINK PASSIVELY, UNEMOTIONALLY). THE REASON IS BECAUSE THEIR ACTIONS DO NOT EMANATE OUT OF UNCONFLICTING, UNEMOTIONAL, UNSTRESSED FREE WILL (AS IN NON-ACTORS) BUT THEY ARE ALWAYS DRIVEN BY EMOTIONS, STRESS AND TENSION, ARE ALWAYS GOING AGAINST THEMSELVES IN THE NAME OF PLEASING, IMPRESSING OR INTIMIDATING OTHERS INSTEAD OF DOING OR SAYING IT BECAUSE THEY TRULY WANT TO.
BECAUSE ALL ACTORS’ ACTIONS ARE NOT SIMPLE, FROM THE HEART BUT GOING AGAINST THEMSELVES TO PLEASE, IMPRESS OTHERS, THEIR ACTIONS MUST BE WRACKED FROM BEGINNING TILL END BY EXTRA FORCE (COMPARED TO NON ACTORS) NEEDED TO OVERCOME SELF RESISTANCE TO COMMENCE ACTING AND FORCEFUL SELF RESISTANCE STRUGGLING TO ASSERT ITSELF OVER FORCEFUL GOING AGAINST ONESELF. IN THE END, FORCEFUL SELF RESISTANCE ALWAYS TRIUMPHS OVER GOING AGAINST ONESELF, AT LEAST WHILST THE ACTOR’S VIGOR REMAINS BECAUSE THE ACTION TO GO AGAINST ONESELF WOULD HAVE CONTINUED IF SELF RESISTANCE HAD NOT TRIUMPHED IN THE END.
ALL ACTING TO GO AGAINST ONESELF EG TO PLEASE OTHERS CAN ONLY BE BROUGHT TO AN END WHEN, WITH THE STRESS OF ACTING INEVITABLY BUILDING UP, DOGGED, NEVER GIVE UP SELF RESISTANCE FINALLY OVERTAKES PREVIOUSLY ASCENDANT FORCEFUL GOING AGAINST SELF TO APPLY THE BRAKES AND BRING THAT PIECE OF ACTING TO AN END OR TO A MORE SUSTAINABLE MANNER. ACTORS FAIL TO NOTICE THAT WITH AGE, THIS ULTIMATE ASCENDANCY OF SELF RESISTANCE IS SLOWLY EBBING AND A TIME WILL COME WHEN DOGGED SELF RESISTANCE WILL FINALLY FAIL AND THE ACTOR WILL DROWN IN UNOPPOSED MAD ACTING, RESTLESSNESS AND DEPRESSION.
It is not that actors do not experience stress or that their stress never pushes them to their limits of endurance but many actors feel it is an affront to their manliness or self esteem to succumb to or be defeated by stress. Hence they grit their teeth to bear and even attempt to drive or overpower stress by being more aggressive, lashing out more. This is a graver mistake because they are engraving their stress and warping their minds even more, deepening the hole they have already dug themselves.
The wise person would beat a retreat, seclude and protect himself from further bombardment of stress from others, meditate regularly to erase the habit energy of stress in their minds, to straighten their already warped minds.
WHY SHE IS SOBBING:

WOULD SHE BE SOBBING IF IT WAS NOT HER DAUGHTER IN LAW THAT WAS KILLED? THEREFORE SHE IS LIKELY (FORCEFULLY) WEEPING (AN ACT) MORE FOR HER OWN LOSS THAN SELFLESSLY FOR OTHERS’ SAKES. A SAINT DOES NOT FORCEFULLY WEEP FOR HIMSELF BUT HE MAY (PASSIVELY) CRY (NOT AN ACT) FOR OTHERS’ SUFFERINGS. MOST PEOPLE (EMOTIONALLY) RUSH TO DEFEND THOSE WHO WEEP, WHEN THOSE WHO WEEP MAY BE FAR FROM BLAMELESS AND THEY MAY BE CREATING KARMA, NOT MERIT FOR DEFENDING SIN AND HAVING NO EYE FOR TRUTH.
A LET HIS YES BE YES PERSON DOES NOT CRY LOUDLY, FORCEFULLY OR EXPLOSIVELY, JERKILY, DOES NOT PROLONG IT. HE PASSIVELY SHED HIS TEARS, DOES NOT FORCEFULLY CURTAIL IT NOR PROLONGS IT. WHEN THE FEELING GENERATING TEARS PASSES, THE TEARS STOP ON ITS OWN ACCORD. A BUDDHA CANNOT CRY BECAUSE ALL PASSIONS ARE EXTINCT.
WEEPING IS ALWAYS A FORM OF EXPRESSION OR EXHIBITING, ALTHOUGH INVOLUNTARY. NOBODY ENJOYS WEEPING BUT THEY ALL SUFFER WHEN THEY WEEP. THEREFORE WEEPING IS A FORM OF GOING AGAINST ONESELF OR SELF PUNISHMENT. NOBODY WEEPS VOLUNTARILY BUT WEEPING IS ALWAYS FORCED ON THAT PERSON BY HIS OWN EMOTIONS OVERWHELMING HIS SELF RESISTANCE. HENCE WEEPING IS ALWAYS A FORCEFUL ACT DRIVEN BY EMOTIONS TO GO AGAINST ONESELF TO EXPERIENCE & EXPRESS ONE’S NOW UNCONTROLLABLE SUFFERING (BY WEEPING) IN THE NAME OF INSANELY HURTING ONESELF MORE. THE SINNER IS IN A DILEMMA; TO WEEP IS TO SUFFER, TO SUPPRESS ONE’S WEEPING OR CHIN UP IS EVEN WORSE SUFFERING BECAUSE MENTALLY WARPING REPRESSION IS ADDITIONAL SUFFERING. THE ONLY MEANINGFUL ANSWER IS TO GIVE NO CAUSE FOR FUTURE SUFFERING BY BEING ALWAYS TRUE AND GOOD. YOU CANNOT BE TRUE AND GOOD IF YOU CONTINUE TO ACT, YOU CANNOT SEE THAT YOU ACT AND ARE NICE, NOT GOOD TO OTHERS BECAUSE IF YOU ACT, YOU ARE GOING AGAINST YOURSELF AND ANYONE WHO CONSTANTLY GOES AGAINST HIMSELF WILL WEEP.
She broke down because her daughter in law, a snatch thief victim died. This is actually involuntary unintended acting or act breakdown driven by conflicting emotions that overwhelm the acting person.
She is crying forcefully, fitfully (because of the battle of conflicting emotions inside), driven by emotions not in a matter of fact way, hence she is not blameless. Anyone who harbors emotions is not blameless and to cry forcefully, fitfully too is not blameless.
A matter of fact person may shed tears but for different reasons and in different ways, eg when he sees how recalcitrant and cruel people are, how those who think they are good continue to act and are headed for suffering, he does not cry for himself (she may be crying for herself, for her loss, her attachment to her than the victim’s suffering or fate per se because she is unlikely to sob thus if the victim was unrelated) but he cries for others, not in an emotional or forceful manner but tears flow passively, without conflict, he does not tamper with his crying to prolong it or stifle it. She is not blameless and suffering, just as stoic goats who steel themselves never to cry or display their sorrows are also suffering.
People sob (forcefully) as a result of conflicting emotions in them. Conflict or tension is always a sign of sin, not saintliness. If you always let your yes be yes only, where can conflict or tension arise? If you cannot let your yes be yes only, but must always say more, much more or your yes is no and no is yes, then there will always be conflict and tension.
The emotional grief overwhelms the emotion to be tough it out, to chin up and she bursts into tears but reflexively the tough instinct reasserts to suppress briefly the tears to be again overcome by grief in repeated cycles of breakdown control breakdown control until control finally asserts itself and she reverts to her normal self or act. People don’t sob or cry freely, they sob-stop, sob-stop, sob-stop reflecting the alternate asserting of grief and toughness.
Although not overt, her son is not matter of fact but act consoling her, telling her something. There is in truth nothing much anyone on the sidelines can do for or say to a grieving person. If you forcefully persuade her vocally and physically to stop crying, you are asking her to go against herself, with karma, not merit. Suffice to stand by her side passively supportive, neither feeding her emotions to weep nor discouraging her not to. What she does is none of anybody’s business. How would you feel if you are overwhelmed by grief to weep and someone tells you to stop? Isn’t it better to let her ventilate without making her feel ashamed of herself? Notice his fingers are (forcefully or actively) splayed out reflecting unnecessary style that creates stress. It is less stressful to keep the fingers together but as usual, actors must always do things the hard way, not that they can help it because it is now unconscious.
In this situation, I would merely hold her without arching my body or head towards her, without staring in grief or grimacing, as he is slightly doing. There is actually no need to say anything, which always to be nice, not good for what words will sink in or do any good? The grief must be allowed to run its course. Would a Buddha grieve if his son died? The overwhelming human response is to side with her. I am not against her but I do not side her or anybody grieving. So long as you are attached to this sinful world, holding objects and relations in this world dear, so long will you be detained by grief and you are far from innocent. This is the reason why few people leave this world for heaven; they are thoroughly brainwashed that their sympathetic sorrow for her is good when it is nice. Despite their protestations people believe and hold dear to heart their sorrows and other people’s sorrows.
THERE ARE MANY IN THIS WORLD WHO DO NOT CRY BUT IT IS NOT BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO SORROWS BUT THEY ARE ACTING, SUPPRESSING THEIR SORROWS WHICH HURT THEM JUST AS MUCH. BY SUPPRESSING THEIR SORROWS THEY ARE COMPOUNDING THEIR FUTURE SUFFERING THAT WILL OVERWHELM THEM ONCE THE DAM INEVITABLY BREAKS. ONLY THOSE WHO DO NOT ACT, ARE WITHOUT EMOTIONS, WITHOUT SELF GENERATED CONFLICT TRULY HAVE NOTHING TO WEEP ABOUT NOR A TIME BOMB OF REPRESSED MOUNTING SORROWS TO CONTEND WITH.
The Buddha: "In this manner the world is afflicted by death and decay. But the wise do not grieve, having realized the nature of the world. You do not know the path by which they came or departed. Not seeing either end you lament in vain. Only a fool would harm himself (A noble person or non actor never goes against himself). Yet through weeping the mind does not become calm, but still more suffering is produced, the body is harmed and one becomes lean and pale, one merely hurts oneself. One cannot protect a departed one by that means. To grieve is in vain.
"By not abandoning sorrow one undergoes more suffering. Bewailing the dead he comes under the sway of sorrow. See other men faring according to their deeds! Hence beings tremble when they come into the power of death. Whatever they imagine, it (turns out) quite different from that. This is the disappointment that exists. Look at the nature of the world! If a man lives for an hundred years, finally, he is separated from his circle of relatives. Therefore, one should give up lamenting. Seeing a dead body, one should know, "He will not be met by me again." As the fire in a burning house is extinguished with water, so a wise, should quickly drive away the sorrow that arises, as the wind (blows off) a piece of cotton. He who seeks happiness should withdraw the arrow: his own longings and grief.
"With the arrow withdrawn, unattached, he would attain to peace of mind; and when all sorrow has been transcended he is sorrow-free and has realized Nibbana.

Not by sorrowing, not by lamenting,
is any aim accomplished here, not even a bit.
Knowing you're sorrowing & in pain,
your enemies are gratified.
But when a sage with a sense for determining what is his aim doesn't waver in the face of misfortune, his enemies are pained,
seeing his face unchanged, as of old.
Where & however an aim is accomplished
through eulogies, chants, good sayings, donations, & family customs,
follow them diligently there & that way.
But if you discern that your own aim (never to suffer again)
or that of others is not gained in this way,
acquiesce [to the nature of things]
unsorrowing, with the thought:
'What important work (aimed at never to suffer again) am I doing now?'

What she is doing is actually stressful and for show and she is therefore acting. Those who approve in the audience are therefore appreciating an act, with karma not merit. She is forcing herself to suffer to be at the flag draped coffin (symbolism, a form of faith in rites or a fetter to states of woe) and likely to have forced herself to stay to impress the public with her devotion.
A TRUE SAGE IS NEVER A PHILOSOPHER OR POET:
The Buddha said a sage is without sorrow, not because he forces himself to be (an act or denial to impress others) but he is, renouncing all, effortlessly and truly sorrow-less in ways sinners cannot experience.
A person who renouncing all, is without sorrow has nothing to be philosophical or poetic about. A person who has vested interests and is quietly conceited is full of sorrows, has everything to be philosophical and poetic about, they are never ending, like lanes that lead to dead ends and stems from his own folly that he refuses to or cannot see. He secretly relishes a suffering world for him to be philosophical and poetic about.
If you need a second opinion, Jesus said: "I thank thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes; Father, for such was thy gracious will. All things have been delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and any one to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart (not proud), and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
How many Christians have read this and still speak of their pride in many things and partake of poetry and philosophy, encourage and set examples for others? Are they heedless or blind or both?
To be spat at is an extreme provocation that causes all ordinary people who are actors to respond either by feeling hurt or urge to retaliate (though they may painfully try to pretend they are not upset). People are provoking others all the time, eg horning loudly repeatedly, speaking in a blasting way or musically in a sarcastic way. Even news that one’s favorite soccer team has lost is provocation for biased actors to react.
Ordinary people are largely helpless to respond, to feel hurt or delight or wish to retaliate when provoked because they are not happy but under tension, even when they appear calm. Their anger or excitement is held close to the surface and once provoked, they rise rapidly by impulse to be expressed.
Only the non-actor, fully in command of his faculties and mind, who has meditated to still his mind, who resides with a composed, calm, clearly thinking mind is buffered from provocations. Whenever he is provoked, he is not forced by impulse to haste to react but he calmly examines the provocation without emotions and usually if not always, he has no trouble choosing not to exit his inner peace to entangle with his provocateurs.
BECAUSE STRESS AND ILL WILL (RESENTMENT) ARE NEVER FAR BELOW THE SURFACE IN ALL ACTORS, THEY ARE ONLY STRESSFULLY CONTROLLED NOT ABSENT, THEY ONLY ACT HAPPY, TOLERANT AND WITH GOODWILL, THEY ARE EASILY, HELPLESSLY UPSET (HURT OR ANGERED) BY PROVOCATIONS BIG OR SMALL TO EXPERIENCE SUFFERING THAT THEY MAY THEN STRESSFULLY TRY TO HIDE.
BECAUSE STRESS AND ILL WILL ARE ABSENT IN NON ACTORS, THEIR MINDS ARE TRULY COMPOSED AND SERENE FROM LACK OF SELF ABUSE, THEY ARE NOT EASILY OR HELPLESSLY UPSET BY PROVOCATIONS TO SUFFER.
Acting and being nice are never good or harmless but always wicked and kills by stress. Even as lovers gaze adoringly into each others’ eyes and swear undying love, they are smiling and being nice, engaged in an elaborate game of deceit they forced themselves with all their might to believe in.
Most people are not forced to act, to be nice but they actively or secretly like to act and be nice to others because they like to suffer and like to see others suffer. They like to kill themselves and they like to kill others by acting and niceness.
The reason they like to suffer and like to kill themselves (coercing others to do the same) is because they have this delusion that their suffering and death, though painful, will always be manageable, once they die, everything will be finished when in truth, their sufferings are cumulative, they are headed for torment they never expect of uncontrollable restlessness, mad, violent impulses and depression and after death, they do not believe they will head for hell and eternal punishment.

What’s Wrong With “Well”?:
'Well' is always spoken unnecessarily eg "Well, you lied" to be nice, not good and not letting one's yes be yes only but more which comes from evil. It serves no function because you say just as well, "You lied" without losing any meaning.
When you say, “Well, you lied” you are speaking unnecessarily in two directions, “well” is one direction that you draw the listener’s attention to whilst “you lied” is another direction you next draw him to. Hence it is a form of unnecessary twisting and turning that stresses the listener and said to be pretentious. When you say, “You lied” you save yourself the energy and stress of saying a useless word and it stresses the listener less.
Because “well” serves no function it is therefore a fake, not an exaggeration. Hence people underestimate the amount of faking they are guilty of.
(Similarly all embellishments like, Err, Ah, Hah, Huh, Oops, Uh Oh are useless, harmful fakes or false speech adornments, not exaggeration. When people say, “Uh Oh, here he comes” they have a hidden or different meaning from merely announcing an arrival. It is not ‘here he comes’ but they are sinfully hinting that 'here comes trouble' and therefore the person is not saying what he means.
A Loaded Question:
Whenever ordinary people ask “What’s up?” it is never matter of fact but loaded.
He may be irritated by some commotion and is asking angrily, “Whaattss uppp??!!” In that case what he said is faked because what he meant was “I am angry with you for making so much noise” or 'Why are you making so much noise?'.
A husband trying to demonstrate (act) his concern for his wife mask ask her in an anxiously concerned, musical manner, “Wwhatss up???” when it is merely a ploy to engage her in conversation. Hence, that too is a fake.
In social relations, people have learnt well to hint, to be deceitful and think nothing wrong with their deviousness. A husband may say to his wife, “Let’s go to bed” when it not sleep but something else on his mind and that would be a form of dishonesty that is not harmless because it propagates an attitude of dishonesty. Usually the wife has learnt so well to play along, to appreciate it.
Sometimes, a person is displeased and when when asked what he would like, he says “Up to you” when what he meant was “I don’t care or don't give a damn”. He may not think much but he is cultivating an attitude of casual dishonesty that leads to future woe.

Signs Of Future Danger & Acting:
Many ordinary people have trouble seeing themselves acting but there are many signs that should warn the person that he is acting without knowing.
Stress is never blameless but it is an inevitable result of forcefully, emotionally going against oneself to act. If you find yourself assailed by stress it is a warning that you are acting and if you do not take urgent measures to eliminate acting and therefore stress, stress will become habitual, increasingly easier to arouse, more intense and will seize you madly as you age.
Tension in the mind and body, feeling knotted up, unable to decide are signs that the person is going against himself. If you never went against yourself, there is never conflict and therefore no tension. Again conflict and tension are forceful and reinforcing so that it seizes more & more the person who permit them to fester. If you must laugh, smile, stretch your syllables, be excited and speak explosively conflict and tension will be your constant and increasingly more familiar and intense companions.
Depression sets in when a person who is constantly stressed is unable to shake it off because he keeps forcefully acting to create stress. A person who tolerates depression, cohabits with depression instead of swiftly eliminating it by eg stop it's source acting, will become increasingly hounded by increasingly severe depression that may end in suicide.
Only a person who acts experiences inevitable episodes of being sick of himself. If one never went against oneself, one will be free of stress, tension and depression, will be clearly thinking and calm, so why would he be sick of himself?

"What causes life, unbounded or confined --
His process of becoming -- this the Sage
Renounces. With inward calm and joy he breaks,
As though a coat of mail, his own life's cause."
A Buddha does not cease existence in a fit of being sick of himself or hollowness but with inward calm and joy.

Attacks of giddiness or dizziness are not harmless physiological disturbances but is indication of temporary brain inebriation from the constant forceful, punishing abuse from acting it is subjected to.
Mental blocks (forgetting what you are thinking, saying or doing) may reflect what is being perpetrated goes against self attended by forceful self resistance that occasionally blocks the act in its track.
Elderly people often complain of dizzy spells which may be an aggravated form of the same dizzy spells younger people experience briefly from time to time but as the mind ages, becomes easier to be triggered, are more severe and prolonged.
Episodic bouts of mad impulses: Actors may find themselves doing things madly without control, eg he shakes a container vigorously a few times unnecessarily. He taps the spoon with excessive force a few times impulsively without realizing driven by restlessness. He stamps an inkpad forcefully in rapid succession three times when a single attentive stamp will do. He claps his hands loudly and forcefully many times without awareness until he has done it.
Bouts of involuntary restlessness: Actors may find themselves seize by occasions when they just cannot keep still, they must keep moving, do something. This is an early sign of mania that will not be controllable later.

EPISODIC BOUTS OF STRESS, TENSION, RESTLESSNESS, DEPRESSION, FEELING SICK OF ONESELF, FEELING GIDDY FOR NO REASON AND MAD UNCONTROLLABLE IMPULSES ARE NOT HARMLESS OR BLAMELESS BUT SIGNS OF ACTING. IF A PERSON TRULY NEVER ACTED (POSSIBLE BUT VERY RARE) IT IS NOT POSSIBLE HE WILL BE STRESSED, TENSED, RESTLESS, SICK OF HIMSELF, SUFFER BOUTS OF GIDDINESS WITHOUT REASON AND BE SUBJECT TO UNCONTROLLABLE MAD IMPULSES. THEY ARE WARNINGS OF FUTURE APPOINTMENT WITH SERIOUS SUFFERING. MOST PEOPLE DISREGARD SUCH EARLY TREMORS OF FUTURE EARTHQUAKES, THEY IGNORE THESE SIGNS WHEN THEY ARISE AND PLOD ON WITH WHAT THEY ARE DOING (ACTING) INSTEAD OF DROPPING WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO IMMEDIATELY EXORCISE THESE DEMONS BY FOCUSSING ATTENTION AND ANALYSIS OF QUALITY. THEY THEREFORE ALLOW SUCH ARISEN WOEFUL STATES TO LINGER AND GAIN STRENGTH, NOT REALIZING THAT LIKE A PYTHON, THESE STATES ARE PUTTING ROOTS IN THEIR MINDS THAT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO PULL OUT THE LONGER THEY ALLOW THEM TO TAKE ROOT.
Jesus Suggests There Is Reincarnation:
He (Jesus) also said to the disciples, "There was a rich man who had a steward (manager), and charges were brought to him that this man was wasting his goods (like modern day CEOs). And he called him and said to him, 'What is this that I hear about you? Turn in the account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.' And the steward said to himself, 'What shall I do, since my master is taking the stewardship away from me? I am not strong enough to dig, and I am ashamed to beg. I have decided what to do, so that people may receive me into their houses when I am put out of the stewardship.' So, summoning his master's debtors one by one, he said to the first, 'How much do you owe my master?' He said, 'A hundred measures of oil.' And he said to him, 'Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.'(the manager is contriving with debtors to cheat his master by under declaring what is owed so that they will feel indebted to him) Then he said to another, 'And how much do you owe?' He said, 'A hundred measures of wheat.' He said to him, 'Take your bill, and write eighty.' The master commended the dishonest steward for his shrewdness; for the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light. And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous mammon (cheating), so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal habitations (here is suggestion that the eternal punishment that Jesus speaks of is eternal habitations or transmigration or eternal rebirths as the Buddha speaks of).

"He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much (a sinner is a sinner in everything he does or as the Buddha said, a man of no integrity is a man of no integrity in everything he does; the integrity that ordinary people see is acted or fabricated integrity, not from the heart); and he who is dishonest in a very little is dishonest also in much. If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will entrust to you the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own? No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."
Making Mountain Out Of Molehill:

The good news is that this is still one thousand times faster than the best magnetic hard drives in use today.
Comment: Many people think it is a funny or good cheer speaking in the fashion above, which is never letting your yes be yes only. It is a form of exaggeration because if the HD speed limit is still 1000 times faster than current HD speed, it cannot be that bad and hence to call it bad news is gross exaggeration or false. People think it is good cheer but so long as one indulges in such mischief, which misleads readers to get initially alarmed and then laugh it off is heading for mental torment in the form of madness (because it is make belief) or depression.
Why label it unnecessarily good and bad news? What is so good or bad about the news? If there is nothing intrinsically good or bad about the news, it is making a mountain out of a mole hill, you are guilty of making others unnecessarily alarmed.
The matter of fact person just says, “The upper limit of writing is 435 billion bits per second, which is 1000 times faster than current HDD speeds.
Feeling Sick Is Denial Failure:
Because acting is what ordinary people constantly do and it is forcefully going against oneself to exaggerate & fake in the name of deceiving, pleasing, impressing, intimidating and dominating others, the actor must feel sick of himself for constantly stressing and going against himself.
What keeps him going is his stubborn defiance and pride, he is adamant what he does or says is good for himself and others. He is so good that despite stress, he is nice and cordial to others. Therefore he forcefully acts happy, smiling, walks with a spring in his gait, has a ready firm handshake for everyone he meets. “I’m fine, I’m fine” he keeps telling himself mantra like.
But even this denial exerts its inevitable toll and when the dam finally bursts, in vacant private moments, when he can no longer not look at the empty, putrid dustbin of faking in his mind, he gets sick of himself, he feels the forcefully repressed revulsion for himself welling to the surface of his consciousness.
It is the lot of whoever who will act that no matter how they (forcefully) deny they act, how they force themselves to be always happy (in truth always acted too, never effortlessly, truly happy), they will be sick of themselves. And if they are sick of themselves (which they can still shrug off forcefully), they will be even sicker of themselves and helplessly so when the fruits of their acting karma finally ripens and falls off the tree.
Hence, if you occasionally feel sick of yourself, you must be defiling yourself and a somnolent actor.
Dizzy Spells & Falling Into A Daze:
If someone punched you in the head, you will feel stinging pain as well as become groggy or dizzy that will not recover instantly but may take even hours to subside.
If ordinary people observe or pay correct attention to themselves {mindfulness as the first factor of awakening} after a heated argument or an animated conversation, they will surely detect stress as well as a variable degree of dizziness of their minds, depending on how forceful the conversation had been.
Hence, dizziness is a consequence of assault on the brain that may be physical (eg a punch) or mental. Mental stress is assault of the brain and dizziness is a consequence of the build up of stress in the brain to a level that inebriates it, causing temporary dizziness that will subside if the tempo of acting reduces.
Because acting is what ordinary people do all the time and it is forcefully going against oneself, applying force and emotion to one’s brain to exaggerate and fake, he will inevitably experience bouts of dizziness especially if he is carried away or forced by circumstances to raise the tempo of his acting and hence the risk of episodes of heightened dizziness.
HENCE, THE NEXT OCCASION A DIZZY SPELL INTRUDES INTO YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS, APPLY ANALYSIS OF QUALITIES TO SEE IF IT IS ACCOMPANIED BY STRESS AND WHETHER IT OCCURRED AFTER AN EPISODE OF HEIGHTENED ACTING SELF ABUSE. INSTEAD OF BEING BLAMELESS OR HARMLESS, SUCH DIZZY SPELLS MAY REFLECT ACUTE BUILD UP OR STRESS OVERLOAD OF BRAIN AND IF YOU ALLOW YOUR BRAIN TO BE A CONSTANT PLAYGROUND OF DIZZINESS, IT MAY SEIZE YOU LATER. THIS MAY BE THE REASON WHY MANY ELDERLY COMPLAIN OF EPISODES OF SEVERE OR DEBILITATING DIZZINESS.
IF YOU CANNOT ACCEPT THAT YOUR DIZZINESS IS DUE TO YOUR CONSTANT FORCEFUL ACTING SELF ABUSE, THEN YOU WILL HAVE TO LOOK FOR ALTERNATIVE MEDICAL EXPLANATIONS. IF WHAT I SAY IS TRUE, YOU ARE DELUDING YOURSELF WITH FURTHER KARMA APART FROM BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE. NOWADAYS I DO NOT EXPERIENCE DIZZY SPELLS LIKE IN THE PAST WHEN I WAS STRESSED FROM ACTING AND NEEDED TO LET OFF STEAM AT THE DRIVING RANGE. UNTIL YOU HAVE STOPPED ACTING AND SEEN HOW DIZZY SPELLS THEN VANISH LIKE MIST IN THE SUN, YOU CANNOT TELL FOR SURE YOUR DIZZINESS IS ROOTED IN YOUR SELF ABUSE.
When you fall into a daze, you lapse into helpless, self absorbed, thought filled or spasmodic or frozen inactivity. You lose touch with reality or the environment. Buddhas cannot fall into a daze because they don’t daydream, they don’t yearn, they do not indulge egotistically in thought. They are never in a daze but always fully comprehending, attentive either externally or internally, rooted in reality, not fantasy.
Only a person who acts can fall into a daze because acting is constant forcefully going against oneself, constant make believe. Anyone who is constantly subjecting his mind to constant forceful going against itself, constant make believe would occasionally sink into a daze or a state of powerlessness or thought shrouded incapacitation.
Hence the tendency to sink into a daze is not harmless or insignificant but reflects a mind constantly subjected to conflict or make believe that occasionally becomes overwhelmed to sink into a helpless daze and if unheeded, these dazes may become more frequent and severe with age leading to madness or catatonia.
YOU CAN DO CONSIDERABLE MORE FOR YOUR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH BY REDUCING THE LEVEL OF STRESS IN YOUR LIFE THAN BY POPPING THE BEST PILLS, THE BEST FOODS AND THE BEST EXERCISES IN THE WORLD. STRESS REDUCTION IS VASTLY SUPERIOR TO PILLS, HEALTH FOOD AND EXERCISE IN THE QUEST FOR A LONG AND HAPPY, DISEASE FREE LIFE. BECAUSE FORCEFUL ACTING IS THE TAP ROOT OF ALL STRESS IN ALL PEOPLE, THE ONLY WAY TO SERIOUSLY REDUCE STRESS IS TO WAKE UP TO AND DEACTIVATE ONE’S ACTING.
Feeling Serene During & After Conversation:
Nowadays (as I have just done), after an extended conversation, my mind remained calm, unruffled, clearly thinking. My body remained relaxed because I was not emotional, was not forceful or anxious in what I said. I was not anxious to impress or please the other person and was not anxious to prolong the conversation or end it (irritated) and when it ended, there was no clinging or was I emotionally glad or relieved it was over.
This is actually a wonderful state of the mind and body to remain serene throughout and after a conversation (instead of being worked up) and even if ordinary people desired, they will be unable to achieve because it takes effortless concentration of the mind as a result of regular correct meditation, true virtue, selflessness and discernment to bring this state to fruition.
Whenever you feel stressed, tense after a conversation, you have been talking emotionally or forcefully and therefore acting.
HENCE IF YOU GET WORKED UP AFTER TALKING, IT IS A SIGN YOU ARE USING FORCE WHEN SPEAKING, YOU SPEAK EMOTIONALLY AND YOU ARE ACTING OR NICE IN YOUR CONVERSATION. TO SPEAK WITHOUT FORCE, WITHOUT GETTING EMOTIONAL MAY SOUND SIMPLE BUT IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE FOR ORDINARY PEOPLE TO ACHIEVE. IT IS NOT A USELESS ACHIEVEMENT BUT THE (EFFORTLESS) SERENITY IS IMCOMPARABLE TO SENSUAL PLEASURES OF THIS WORLD. ORDINARY PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE MISSING. TO GO ABOUT IN LIFE UNDISTURBED (WITHOUT ACTING SO) BY ALL THAT HAPPENS AROUND YOU WITHOUT BEING INDIFFERENT IS A JOY AND PRIVILEGE ACCORDED ONLY TO THOSE WHO HAVE RISEN ABOVE THE MORASS OF THIS WORLD.
THE EXISTENCE OF STRESS, TENSION, DEPRESSION, RESTLESSNESS, MAD THOUGHTS AND IMPULSES, DIZZY SPELLS, DAZES AND FEELING SICK OF ONESELF ARE NOT PASSING CLOUDS BUT THEY ARE THE INEVITABLE CONSEQUENCES OF ACTING, DAMAGES OR CORRODE THE MIND AS THEY OCCUR AND IF UNCHECKED, WILL LEAD TO CHRONIC MADNESS, MANIA AND DEPRESSION IN OLD AGE. JUST AS WEED ALLOWED TO FLOURISH WILL IN TIME MAKE ANY GARDEN A SORRY MESS, EVEN SO STRESS, TENSION, DEPRESSION, MAD IMPULSES, DIZZY SPELLS, DAZES AND FEELING SICK OF ONESELF WILL CHOKE THE MIND THAT FOOLISHLY ALLOW THEM USE AS THEIR UNFETTERED PLAYGROUND.
STRESS AND SUFFERING FOLLOWS THE ACTOR LIKE A SHADOW THAT LENGTHENS AND DARKENS WITH AGE. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE STRESS, YOU DO NOT LIKE SUFFERING THAT WILL BECOME INCREASINGLY TORMENTING AND UNRELENTING, THEN YOU HAVE TO DEVOTE UNDIVIDED ATTENTION ON HOW YOU FORCEFULLY BEHAVE AND SPEAK (ACT) AND ELIMINATE IT.
Orchestral Breakdown:
All acts start as hesitant, cog wheeled or jerky, forceful conscious intended acting (as when a teenager learns how to act intimate with the opposite sex) but with frequent practice it graduates sooner or later into slick, less visibly cog wheeled but still forceful unconscious (without need for thinking) intended or automatic acting (as when he becomes a Casanova or a professional tennis player socks his serve over). But because automatic or unconscious intended acting, no matter how realistic, is forced and going against oneself to deceive others, it is stressful and there are nasty, conflicting, rebellious impulses to do silly, mad or harmful things that can only be suppressed, not eliminated because they are generated by acting; continued acting provides continued impetus for nasty impulses which must be given vent as unconscious, uncontrollable unintended forceful acting (as when he makes a monkey face or burps at someone he dislikes). If you are constantly going against yourself to act, you will want to hang yourself and some actors may harbor crazy thoughts of putting a noose around their necks.
Because a person is made up of numerous different acts at once or for different occasions (eg party or funeral modes), it is like a complex orchestration that can occasionally be overwhelmed and hence he occasionally suffer major or minor act breakdown. He twitches whilst he tries to fabricate a charming smile for the camera or he has a nervous breakdown, unable to face the world.
All acting is learnt, and in order to learn how to act in a certain way, you must pay attention to your acting or the acting of someone you want to imitate eg Elvis or Marylyn. After you have learnt to act in a certain way, you can shut your mind and do or say it by rote so realistically you think you are being yourself, being genuine.
If you desire to learn how to play tennis, you must pay attention to how others hold the racket, hit the balls. You must pay attention when you hold the racket as to how you want to hit or serve the ball. There is no way you can learn to play tennis if you do not pay attention.
THEREFORE, IN ORDER FOR YOU TO UN-ACT, TO NOT ACT, YOU MUST MAKE EFFORT, YOU MUST PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR ACTING, NOT FOR A SHORT WHILE BUT CONSTANTLY LIKE YOU EXAMINE A STOCK PRICE TICKER TAPE AND PAINSTAKINGLY APPLY NEUTRALIZING FORCE (OR OPPOSITE STEERING LOCK AS IN A SPINNING CAR) AND PERSISTENCE TO UNDO YOUR ACTING BIT BY BIT, DESPITE SETBACKS. THE TROUBLE WITH MOST ACTORS IS THAT THEY ARE MINDLESS, ENGROSSED WITH WORLDLY AFFAIRS, NOT REALIZING WHAT MAY BE AT STAKE FOR THEM MAY BE AN ETERNITY IN HELL AND PUNISHMENT OR AN ETERNITY IN HEAVEN WITH NO WORRIES, NO SICKNESS, NO HUNGER, NO DEPRESSION, NO DIZZINESS, NO MADNESS, NO PUTTING UP WITH OTHERS, NO RESTLESSNESS.
Jesus: "For the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. After agreeing with the laborers for a denarius (one denarius may signify one Age or eon in heaven) a day, he sent them into his vineyard. And going out about the third hour he saw others standing idle in the market place; and to them he said, 'You go into the vineyard too, and whatever is right I will give you.' So they went. Going out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour, he did the same. And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing; and he said to them, 'Why do you stand here idle all day?' They said to him, 'Because no one has hired us.' He said to them, 'You go into the vineyard too.' (Even those who will repent and go in to work in the vineyard at the last hour will be rewarded with one Age in heaven) And when evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his steward, 'Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last, up to the first.' And when those hired about the eleventh hour came, each of them received a denarius. Now when the first came, they thought they would receive more; but each of them also received a denarius. And on receiving it they grumbled at the householder, saying, 'These last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.' But he replied to one of them, 'Friend, I am doing you no wrong; did you not agree with me for a denarius? Take what belongs to you, and go; I choose to give to this last as I give to you. Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or do you begrudge my generosity?' * So the last will be first, and the first last." (You cannot have two Ages in heaven for extra laboring. Perhaps if you applied yourself to become a householder who hires than a laborer who works, it may be different)
The Buddha:
The Buddha says that the lifespan of deities in Brahma’s retinue is one eon, which is enough time for a wandering being to accumulate a pile of skeleton as high as a mountain and it is ‘loving kindness’ to all that guides one there.
Puggala Sutta: Persons (excerpt)
"Here, bhikkhus, a certain person abides with his heart imbued with loving-kindness extending over one quarter, likewise the second quarter, likewise the third quarter, likewise the fourth quarter, and so above, below, around, and everywhere, and to all as to himself; he abides with his heart abundant, exalted, measureless in loving-kindness, without hostility or ill-will, extending over the all-encompassing world.
"He finds gratification in that, finds it desirable and looks to it for his well-being; steady and resolute thereon, he abides much in it, and if he dies without losing it (Jesus said those who endured till the end will be saved), he reappears among the gods of a High Divinity's retinue.
"Now the gods of a High Divinity's retinue have a life-span of one aeon (enough time to accumulate a pile of skeleton as high as a mountain if you are in eternal punishment) An ordinary person [who has not attained the Noble Eightfold Path] stays there for his life-span; but after he has used up the whole life-span enjoyed by those gods, he leaves it all, and [according to what his past deeds may have been] he may go down even to hell, or to an animal womb, or to the ghost realm. But one who has given ear to the Perfect One stays there [in that heaven] for his life-span, and after that he has used up the whole life span enjoyed by those gods, he eventually attains complete extinction of lust, hate and delusion (deities in heaven still have some lust, hate and delusion)in that same kind of heavenly existence.
"It is this that distinguishes, that differentiates, the wise hearer who is ennobled [by attainment of the Noble Path] from the unwise ordinary man, when, that is to say, there is a destination for reappearance [after death, but an Arahant has made an end of birth; he cannot be born anywhere else again].

Faith on rites & precepts:
Wesak Day commemorating the Buddha’s birthday arrives this weekend and devotees will flock to temples offering prayers. You can picture them in temples with solemnity that is always fabricated or acted but which they will firmly believe in abiding delusion is genuine and meritorious. Full of acted (enforced) reverence, they line up to offer incense or whatever rituals the temples may recommend, eg lighting candles or pouring water. Because ordinary people are all actors, they will attend these ceremonies full of forceful, enforced, exaggerated or even faked piety, firmly believing in the efficacy of the rites or vows or prayers they are offering, unaware that the Buddha in the Pali Canon has said that faith in rites, ceremonies and precepts (together with uncertainty or doubt and self identity) is a bond leading to states of woe.
(If you are deluded and you know you are deluded, then all is not lost because you are only partially blind, but for many, they are deluded and they do not know they are deluded and they become irate when you point out the error of their ways)
It is not commemoration, piety and prayers that truly respect the Buddha. What is the use of a day’s acted, enforced solemnity after which you return to your usual (unchanged) mindless acted exaggerated and faking, smiling, dishonest, nice/nasty ways of behavior that persecute yourself as you persecute others?:
Then the Blessed One lay down on his right side, in the lion's posture and so disposed himself, mindfully and clearly comprehending.
4. The twin sala trees broke out in full bloom, though it was not the season. And the blossoms rained upon the body of the Tathagata and dropped and scattered and were strewn upon it. And celestial mandarava flowers and heavenly sandalwood powder from the sky rained down upon the body of the Tathagata. And the sound of heavenly voices and heavenly instruments made music in the air.
6. "Yet it is not thus, Ananda, that the Tathagata is respected and honoured in the highest degree. But, Ananda, whatever a person abides by the Dhamma, lives uprightly in the Dhamma, walks in the way of the Dhamma, it is by such a one that the Tathagata is respected, and honoured in the highest degree. Therefore, Ananda, thus should you train yourselves: 'We shall abide by the Dhamma, live uprightly in the Dhamma, walk in the way of the Dhamma.'"
This was said by the Blessed One: "Even if a monk, taking hold of my outer cloak, were to follow right behind me, placing his feet in my footsteps, yet if he were to be greedy for sensual pleasures, strong in his passions (emotions), malevolent in mind, corrupt in his resolves, his mindfulness muddled, unalert, uncentered, his mind scattered, & his faculties uncontrolled, then he would be far from me, and I from him. Why is that? Because he does not see the Dhamma. Not seeing the Dhamma, he does not see me.
"But even if a monk were to live one hundred leagues away, yet if he were to have no greed for sensual objects, were not strong in his passions (emotions), not malevolent in mind, uncorrupt in his resolves, his mindfulness established, alert, centered, his mind at singleness, & his faculties well-restrained, then he would be near to me, and I to him. Why is that? Because he sees the Dhamma. Seeing the Dhamma, he sees me."
Many do not realize that what is at stake for them, once they pass from this life, is either an eon in heaven or an eon in hell and eternal transmigration:
This was said by the Blessed One: "If a single person were to wander & transmigrate on for an aeon, he/she would leave behind a chain of bones, a pile of bones, a heap of bones, as large as this Mount Vepulla."
The accumulation of a single person's
bones for an aeon would be a heap
on a par with the mountain, so said the Great Seer.
(He declared this to be the great Mount Vepulla
to the north of Vulture's Peak
in the mountain-ring of the Magadhans.)*
But when that person sees
with right discernment the four Noble Truths --
stress, the cause of stress,
the transcending of stress, & the Noble Eightfold Path,
the way to the stilling of stress --
having wandered on seven times at most, then,
with the ending of all fetters,
he puts a stop to stress.
Cogwheel Rigidity:
No matter how slick an actor’s movements or speech have become (without him needing to pay attention), because it is forced, unnecessary additional force is added by the actor to whatever he wants to say or do, there is a detectable jerkiness or cog wheeled rigidity in whatever an actor says or does. This is because acting is forcefully going against oneself, there is self resistance each time he forces, which is why excessive force must be applied to overcome this resistance which always gives in, hence no matter how slick an actor’s motions or speech have become with practice, there is detectable jerkiness or snatchy-ness or cog wheeling that a careful observer can detect. I see it all the time when actors do things or speak. This jerkiness becomes more prominent when the actor becomes self conscious, is tired or put under the spotlight. He becomes nervous, his previously well choreographed movements become jerkier, his hand trembles or becomes excessive stiff, he finds it harder to execute a procedure he has done innumerable times.
Because a non actor never goes against himself, whatever he does or says comes straight from his heart without resistance or conflict, there is no force to overcome, no need to apply excessive force to overcome self resistance; hence his movements and speech are truly smooth, unhesitant and non explosive. He applies the minimum energy and movement to achieve his aim; there are no flowery or stylish accessory movements or postures. He speaks without force, without emotion, without using his hands in flowery gestures, without the full complement of facial, forehead, ocular, head and neck movements that actors execute without being aware they are doing.
Conversational Lapses:
Can a Buddha forget what he is saying in mid sentence?
The reason why people get lost and suffer embarrassing lapses in the middle of what they are saying; is because they are fabricating in a forceful and emotional manner with inner resistance that sometimes overwhelm their train of thought leading to embarrassing lapses. What is fabricated and false is complicated. What is true is simple, flows effortlessly unimpeded by itself. Hence it reflects that what is said is not quite true, it is artificially complicated and it sequence can be lost that actors lose sight of what they intend to say.
Hence such lapses are not innocent but are indications of defilement, fabrication and liability to future suffering.
Similarly actors must experience bouts of scratching their heads (an act, would a Buddha ever scratch his head?) wondering, “What was I going to do? What was I searching for?” This is again a sign of somnolence, lack of mindfulness, living in fantasy land and acting by rote.
Giddiness Is A Part Of Stress:
Whenever you feel stressed, observe your mind and you may or will detect the presence of giddiness. The more stressed you are, the more giddy you will feel. Just like stress, giddiness does not recede instantly but will only subside gradually with difficulty, with a reduction in stress. When you become giddy, your faculty control weakens, you wobble and fall into a daze or become remote or detached from reality.
Because stress is something actors experience everyday, giddiness is also something they experience daily in the background usually without being aware because they are preoccupied with their activities.
WHAT PEOPLE DO NOT REALIZE IS THAT THEY ARE GETTING ADDICTED TO STRESS AND GIDDINESS BY PERMITTING THEM TO FESTER WHILST THEY PUSH ON REGARDLESS WITH THEIR SELFISH PURSUITS. EVERY MOMENT’S DWELLING IN STRESS AND GIDDINESS IS EVERY MOMENT’S REINFORCEMENT OF THEM IN THE MIND. ALL THE STRESSES AND GIDDINESS THEY EXPERIENCED IN THE PAST ARE NOT FORGOTTEN BUT HAVE BEEN ETCHED IN THE MINDS AND WILL SEIZE THEM MORE EASILY, DEEPER AND MORE PROLONGED AS THEY AGE.
THE WISE PERSON WILL PAY ATTENTION TO THE RISING OF STRESS AND GIDDINESS IN HIS DAILY LIFE AND TAKE URGENT MEASURES TO ELIMINATE THEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE INSTEAD OF DEFIANTLY CHALLENGING THEM LIKE A BULLDOG.
That many old people experience severe, debilitating bouts of giddiness as if out of the blue may not so much reflect old age but the cumulative damage of a lifetime’s abusive forceful acting creating stress and giddiness in their minds. It is not ‘out of the blue’ but because their threshold for giddiness is now low, it is easy to provoke in their primed minds, it appears as if ‘out of the blue’. As you sow, so shall you reap. People are sowing giddiness their whole lives and they will get giddy when they grow old.
STRESS LEADS TO GIDDINESS AND THEY ARE BOTH NOT HARMLESS BUT LIKE POISON THAT WILL NOT ONLY SLOWLY KILL YOU, BUT TORMENT YOU LATER.
Where Does The Giddiness Come From?
If people will pay attention to themselves instead of being engrossed in their worldly pursuits, they will notice stress building up daily and together with that stress is an uncomfortable sensation of giddiness or dizziness. It is because this stress and giddiness is usually bearable, can be ignored or masked by preoccupations with world pursuit that ordinary people has developed a tolerance or somnolence to its brewing in the background.
Where do this stress and giddiness come from?
It is likely to originate from the forceful and emotional way people conduct themselves and speak; the bombardment of forceful niceness and acting from others.
Stress impacts on the body and mind and as it builds up or persist, the brain’s tolerance or defense may be temporarily overwhelmed resulting in giddiness.
It may be akin to alcoholic abuse; each episode of binging makes the brain drunken (giddy) which harms the brain in a way imperceptible to the undiscerning until it is too late, he becomes hooked on alcohol and the damage is significant and he refuses to stop.
Hence, every time a person forcefully acts in speech and action, he applies force to his brain, stressing and harming his brain leading to giddiness. This acute harm to the brain is partially reversible but there is residual permanent harm that is imperceptible to unobservant and preoccupied people who do not realize that the constant hammering he is subjecting his brain to is leading to a lengthening shadow of woe from stress, giddiness, restlessness, depression and mad impulses that will become increasingly easy to provoke, lasts longer and deeper and more difficult to banish.
Just as the more you practice tennis, no matter how lousy a player you are, the better you get at it, the more often you experience stress, giddiness, depression and restlessness, the more easier it will be in the future to stir them up and like a tune you cannot drive from your mind, they will become increasingly difficult to banish, to your chagrin.
The more often you are angry and entertain anger, the easier it will be to become angry in the future.
The more often you become depressed and indulge your depression, the easier it will be for you to become depressed until you become seized.
AS YOU SOW, SO SHALL YOU REAP. HENCE THE WISE PERSON WILL CONSTANTLY SOW CALM, NOT RESTLESSNESS, SOW EASE NOT STRESS IN HIS MIND, SOW RAPTURE NOT OF THE FLESH NOT EXCITEMENT OR DEPRESSION, SOW TRUTH NOT MAD FALSITY. A PERSON WHO IS WISE RELEGATES ALL PREOCCUPATIONS WITH THE WORLD TO PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO ABIDE HERE IN CALMNESS, ALWAYS FREE OF STRESS, EXCITEMENT, GIDDINESS, RESTLESSNESS, DEPRESSION AND MAD IMPULSES SO THAT HE WILL CONSTANTLY ABIDE THUS IN THE FUTURE.
The Crab & The Stick:
As I pulled up the roller doors to my premise this morning, I was confronted by the sight of a mean looking man, cigarette in mouth, passing by on the five foot way.
When he saw me, he instantly turned his face away not to look at me whilst reflexively pulling up his trousers in a forceful, swift manner.
What he did was to act unconsciously in an unintended or mad manner to express his hostility. Perhaps he expected everyone to suffer, to pull up the rollers in a nasty, hasty, forceful manner and when he saw someone pulling it up unusually in a mindful, gentle, unrushed manner, his ingrained powerful hostility caused him to involuntarily, forcefully turn his head away to pretend not to see (or refuse to see) whilst at the same time pull up his trousers as a gesture of hostility or disdain.
Such a person might think he is a master of himself but it is emotions (nastiness is an emotion) that drive him and whenever he is faced with situations that provoke emotions, he is seized to act, to respond without thinking. Even if he wanted, he cannot stop himself looking away or pulling up his trousers. This is unconscious, involuntary, unintended or mad acting and as his vitality weakens with age, such mad acting will seize him more and more in increasingly severe fashion.
It is like the crab hiding in his mud hole, when someone pokes a stick into it, he mindlessly snaps at it and is drawn up to end up on somebody’s dinner table. Seldom is there a wise crab that learns not to snap at the provoking stick. If you are little more than reflex, standard responses to standard situations, you can exist just as well as a crab instead of being a human. It may be possible for karma to arrange for you to exist in knee jerk fashion as animals in future existences.

A Doomsday Scenario:

A Doomsday Scenario:
People think that the disaster scenario Jesus described may be far fetched or too remote for them to be concerned in their cozy armchairs but according to scientists in an article in the NY Times, Greenland is a big bowl of ice that is melting at an accelerating rate. If it melted completely, sea levels will be raised 20 feet and Florida & Bangladesh would be gone apart from submerging Manhattan.
Once the defrost button on a fridge has been pressed, the march towards total meltdown may be relentless and accelerating. It gets quicker and quicker just as anger rises rapidly when the angry person blows his top. Melting water seeps deep into glaciers where it lubricates the glacier’s floor boosting its glide towards the equator or sea where increased it will melt faster. Less ice mean less reflection of sunshine back into space increasing global temperatures increasing melting. Further, ice presses down tectonic plates and if the ice disappears, the plate will rise and if other plates are locked with it, earthquakes may be triggered. When all the ice on Scandinavia in the past melted it apparently rose 20 feet.
Greenland is only one piece of a jigsaw of global environmental change that includes deforestation, agriculture (cows & rice produce methane, a greenhouse gas), pollution, overpopulation and mass extinction that is well advanced. We may be approaching a precipice down which the earth will plunge and it may be nearer than foolish, greedy men think.
Quote: "If Greenland melted," he said, "it'd raise sea levels by 20 feet. There goes Florida. There goes most of the Mississippi embayment. There go the islands in the South Pacific. Bangladesh is obliterated. Manhattan would have to put up dikes."
Although much work is needed to solve the puzzle, he added, the hints of big changes are building. "There's definitely a lot of melting going on," Dr. McConnell said, flinching as a crack echoed from the warming white cliff and a giant ice slab shifted ever so slightly.
How The Double Barreled Shotgun Is Pointed At You:
Whenever you (driven by emotion) are driving your car faster than is necessary to impress someone (by definition, an act) who is pursuing (challenging) you (and impressing anybody else including yourself or the girl besides you who might care to be impressed), you have to force yourself to drive and take corners as fast as you dare (and you are constantly being stressfully tempted to up the stakes, to drive even faster) so that you will be even more impressive but at the same time, you have fear (another emotion) in opposition to force yourself to exercise restraint, because you woill look very foolish and sorry rather than impressive if you wrecked your car or end up dead.
Hence, in choosing to act driving for show (to impress others) instead of being easefully himself just driving, the actor has forced himself to experience two unnecessary stresses:
The actor has to apply extra force with stress and energy waste to what he wants to do (drive) to drive as fast as he can so that he can impress.
Because he is driving excessively fast and stressing himself, he has to constantly apply force to restrain himself not to get carried away and kill himself.
The constant battle between the emotional urge or force to act to impress and the urge or force or fear to self protect creates tension leading to restlessness that if insoluble, leads to loss of control (rage) and depression.

The same principles hold in all instances of acting. For instance, if you force yourself excessively to smile as much as you dare to be charming (eg you are an airline hostess greeting boarding passengers), you must also force yourself to control your smiling because serious strain inevitably builds up with prolonged smiling and may cause you to twitch or scowl or dread that someday you will make a fool of yourself scowling at a passenger when you want to smile with false charm. This fear may haunt you and become a self fulfilling prophesy. The longer and more aggressive you smile, the more stress and tension build up and you are dicing with lost of control and madness.

Anyone who thinks his smile is genuine, not faked to please or impress should arrange to smile without pause greeting a file of assorted airline passengers and see whether his smile can be maintained with equanimity or if instead he will become cynical, morose (and trying to hide it because it clashes with his charming smile and it gets increasingly harder to hide his scowl the longer he maintains his forced smile) and going through the motions resentfully or stressed to break point.

(AND IT IS IN THE NATURE OF FORCEFUL EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCES THAT ONCE YOU HAVE DRIVEN FAST TO IMPRESS ANOTHER, THE URGE TO REPEAT THE SAME IN THE FUTURE BECOMES EASIER TO BE AROUSED AND EVERYTIME YOU DRIVED FAST WHENEVER YOU PERCEIVE (REAL OR IMAGINED THAT YOU ARE BEING CHALLENGED) YOU ARE STRENGTHENING THE BOND TO DRIVE FAST FOR SHOW. SOON, IT WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE HOOKED EGOTIST NOT TO GUN HIS THROTTLES AND DRIVE LIKE A MAD MAN WHEN HE SEES A BMW BESIDE HIM AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT. SOON, HIS DEFAULT WAY OF DRIVING IS FAST AND BECAUSE IT IS SHAMEFUL TO HAVE THE URGE TO RACE OTHERS, HE MAY DELUDE HIMSELF THAT HE IS BEING HIMSELF DRIVING FAST. TO FORCE YOURSELF TO DRIVE FASTER THAN IS NECESSARY IN ORDER TO IMPRESS OTHERS AND YOURSELF IS ACTING.

IN THE SAME WAY, ONCE YOU HAVE SHOUTED AT SOMEONE TO INTIMIDATE HIM, IT BECOMES EASIER FOR THE URGE TO SHOUT OR BARK WHEN SPEAKING TO BE AROUSED IN THE FUTURE. VERY SOON, YOU ARE FORCED TO, NOT FORCING YOURSELF TO TALK IN A BARKING WAY. PEOPLE WHO SPEAK IN A SMILING, SOFT, ANXIOUS TO PLEASE, EAGER, MUSICAL MANNER DO NOT REALIZE IT IS FAKED, SO WELL LEARNT THAT THEY ARE NOW FORCED TO TALK IN THIS WAY, NO MORE FORCING THEMSELVES. THEY THINK THEY ARE GOOD SPEAKING GENTLY BUT IT IS NICE, FALSE)
ACTING IN A PHONE BOOTH:
Before 1977, people were like the person acting (mischievously) inside a very crammed telephone booth. After 1977, the door was (miraculously) opened for them but they only congratulated themselves on their newfound freedom and started to act with more openly stretched limbs and panache with the room to manuever.
Today people are more subdued, more circumspect, toned down in their acting, but they are still acting, still unaware they act and how it is related to their woes, they act more directly or with more immediacy and violence when triggered.
One day, they do not realize, they will be dragged screaming and kicking back into that telephone booth to continue their tormenting acting, not for a day but even for another eternity.

Forced To Act, No Longer Forcing Themselves To Act:
Ordinary people no longer have to force themselves to act but they are now forced even over their will or resistance to act by minds that have become (permanently) warped with impulses that are too strong to resist.

Actors no longer have to forced to smile (or stretched their syllables) when they speak or meet others; they are forced to smile (or stretch their syllables), even before they are aware or without awareness they do.

People never say evenly without stretched syllables, “Tony”, they never even say “ttooneee”, but they say “tTTOOoONnieEee” explosively with varying loudness and stretching of syllables to be falsely seductive or friendly. Because actors can NEVER let their yes be yes only, “Tony” is not enough, does not sound right to them, hence they must always exaggerate, jazz it up by saying “tTTOOoONnieEee” full of verve, conviction and mischief they think God is applauding them.

Actors never say unemotionally, “It is good” but they are forced (no longer forcing) to say without being self consciousness they are forcing, with much facial expression of delight, “mmMMmmm…iittssss goooodd!!” The ‘mmm’ and the stretched syllables are unnecessary add-ons to exaggerate, to impress others.

Hence ordinary people who say they do not act are kidding themselves. If you insist that is not acting, then whoever says ‘mmm’ or stretches his syllables unnecessarily with force will stress himself and waste energy. Even if actors wanted, they cannot stop themselves speaking thus unless they pay attention. but as soon as their attention lapses, they will revert to mindless “mmm, it isss goooodd!!”

(It is because ordinary people have acted for so long, they are now forced to act, no longer having to consciously force themselves to act; they are largely unconscious that what they say or do is not passive or natural but fabricated and stressful, accompanied by excessive force and speed.)
Because acting is always forceful and LEARNT it will be remembered or imprinted in the actor’s mind. Acting is a mindless individualized way of saying or doing things to be well learnt and then set on autopilot to be rendered with grim determination and self belief it is true when it is faked.

EVERY MOMENT’S ACTING IS EVERY MOMENT’S REINFORCEMENT OF ACTING AND IF ACTING IS SUFFERING, YOU ARE REINFORCING, STRENGTHENING SUFFERING IN YOURSELF. EVERY MOMENT’S EXISTENCE IN STRESS, TENSION, CONFLICT, DEPRESSION, MAD & VIOLENT IMPULSE IS EVERY MOMENT’S REINFORCEMENT OF IT SO THAT THEY WILL RETURN MORE EASILY TO HAUNT YOU IN THE FUTURE. EVERY MOMENT’S DENIAL OF CALM CONCENTRATED STILLNESS OF YOUR MIND IS EVERY MOMENT’S REINFORCEMENT OF THAT DENIAL SO THAT IN FUTURE, YOU SHALL HAVE NO PEACE. THE WISE PERSON LEARNS TO CULTIVATE PEACE ALWAYS BECAUSE PEACE IS NEVER SUFFERING BUT RESTLESSNESS ALWAYS IS. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH AND WILL FOR YOURSELF BECAUSE IT WILL ULTIMATELY BE FULFILLED.

Actors are no longer masters of their acting or forcing themselves to act but are forced by their minds that re already warped by their acting to helplessly render what they want to say or do in a forceful acted way.
Only in a few whose acting are not so strong, more defensive than aggressive, provided his discernment permits him insight how he acts, can make a determined or persistent effort to painstakingly dismantle his acting.

Professional actors cannot or see with difficulty that they act all the time, cannot see how their speech and behavior is intimately linked to their woes, they are resentful and proud, indifferent, are quite happy to suffer and make others suffer, are complacent that although they are stressed, they will always be like this when the noose of stress is ever tightening around their necks. Further, they are bombarded everywhere by stress from others wicked acting and this stress keeps them distracted and emotional to continue acting. Not only are they bombarded by acting everywhere, but they actively seek or expose themselves to stress that maintains their acting (eg listening to punk rock, watching TV game shows)


Actors Are Driven By Impulse, Not Reason:
Actors may think that they are driven by reason but that may be an illusion and it is impulse that drives them to speak and do things in ways that can be detected as explosive, blasting, jerky, constantly varying in yoyo fashion instead of smoothly, evenly.
Anyone who speaks in a demanding, urgent, fluctuating (instead of smoothly), stabbing, blasting fashion is speaking impulsively and if you are perceptive, virtually all ordinary people are guilty of saying or doing things in demanding, urgent, jerky, explosive fashion.
An actor may be sitting daydreaming and suddenly on impulse he gets up with a jolt to do something (he is forced to get up by his impulse), sometimes even before he is aware he has done so. Watch yourself carefully and you may detect impulse (sudden, forceful urge to do or say something) occurs in you more frequently than you concede.

When someone bursts into a loud grunt or spits, he is driven by impulse. When someone is moved to turn his head away, to look away when someone approaches, to scratch his head or adjust his tie on seeing someone, he is acting on impulse.
Whilst the actor is still young and his faculties intact, most of his impulses are involuntary intended (to manipulate others). But as he grows old his impulses will become increasingly disorganized, involuntarily unintended or mad.

ACTING AFTER IT BECOMES AUTOMATED IS DRIVEN BY IMPULSE OR URGES, WHICH IS WHY IT IS DIFFICULT TO CORRECT BECAUSE IMPULSE & URGES HAVE GREAT MOMENTUM, FORCE AND SPEED AND IN ORDER TO REVERSE THIS KIND OF ACTING, ONE MUST BE ATTENTIVE TO CATCH THE IMPULSIVE OR URGENT ACT AND APPLY BRAKES TO STOP IT. THE HABIT ENERGY IS VERY STRONG AND IT TAKES REPEATED NEGATION OF SUCH ACTING AS THEY ARISE BEFORE THE IMPULSE TO ACT THUS WILL BE EXHAUSTED.

Quote: Would I Lie To You?
It is a form of exaggeration and reflects arrogance. Anyone who speaks thus is presumptuous, pretentious (acting or putting on a show), casting uncertainty on others (how can others know whether he would lie) and heaping karma on himself.
The unassuming man says, “I did not lie to you” but the presumptuous, haughty man asks you instead, as if it is a forgone conclusion (an exaggeration or false because it is not forgone) that he will not lie to you. How would you know he will not lie to you? Surely he should know better and answer the question himself. He is speaking carelessly, driven by emotions (haughtiness). Jesus said you will be judged for every careless word you say.


Elaborate Or Consummate Self Deception:
There are many like this man:
When he sees a noble person calmly waiting to cross a road, he is seized by malice to speed up to prevent him from crossing or slow down to make him wait, whichever is expedient.
But if he sees a decrepit old lady trying to cross the road, he will be moved to slow down or make a fuss of his concern for her and he would be filled with emotion that he is such a good person.
He is expressing discrimination and engaged in a deceit he fools himself and fellow nice people who will uphold him as ‘good’ when he is nice.
The emotion of ‘good’ he feels in letting the old lady cross is a sense of pity that makes him feel ‘good’. Actors are suffering and (secretly) like to see others suffer. Whenever they see someone suffering (the old lady), they feel moved and powerful to exercise their restraint not to knock them down. Whenever they see someone truly happy (the noble person) they are seized by jealousy, hatred to run him down or impede him (Jesus said they hated me without reason).
In truth, you should have goodwill to all, weak and strong, noble and ignoble, old or young, white or black. If anything (according to the Buddha), you should bias your goodwill to a noble person than a sinful decrepit old lady (what is given to a noble person bears great fruits, not so much what is given to the sinful). Nice people have no goodwill, what they call goodwill is acted niceness to impress others how good they are when inside because they act, they seethe with ill will they can barely conceal from others.

Why Share Markets Are So Resilient, Fearless Nowadays:
In the past, the market would correct sharply with any potentially bad news and stay down until the coast is clear. Nowadays, although blue chips are well priced (with historically high PE ratios) they seem to shrug off threats (eg rising oil prices), scandals (Enron, WorldCom, Tyco, Internet bubble, Shell) and move strongly ahead as the Dow has now climbed to 10391.
This strength may be illusory and in fact a portent of grave future danger should the dam finally break. It may be because the support for the share market is now more broadly based, many more people (including pension funds from all over the world) have put their money in stock markets all over the world as compared to the past and further, they have entrusted fund managers to invest for them. It is in the interest of fund managers to prop up the market, even to unrealistic levels because they are rewarded by it and it attracts more greedy money and in any event, it is not their money that will be lost should the market crash. Governments all over the world have reduced interest rates to historical low levels that further support the market unrealistically.
However, if the market is propped up at unrealistic levels, there are negative effects and sooner or later, there will be a reckoning. The longer the distortion, the more painful will be the consequences. Still, nobody cares because investors are happy to see high share prices because it makes them feel rich, fund managers are happy to see share prices high because it makes them rich and bring more business, CEOs are happy to see their share prices as high as possible for various reasons, the government and the stock exchange are also happy to see high share prices. But even Achilles has a heel and there may be a reckoning one day.
IF EVERYONE (EXCEPT PERHAPS SHORT PLAYERS, WHO ARE MARGINALIZED WITH LITTLE CLOUT) IS HAPPY TO SEE THE MARKET HIGH, HOW CAN THE MARKET BE REALISTICALLY PRICED (BEARING IN MIND MANKIND’S RECKLESS NATURE) AND HOW CAN IT CRASH UNLESS A SERIOUS CRISIS OVERWHELMS THE BROAD BASED SUPPORT CAPACITY? IT WILL COME BUT ONLY AFTER RESISTANCE HAS BEEN EXHAUSTED.

Comment: There is a mentality of disrespect, insouciance, haughtiness that would use ‘call the shots’ than ‘dictate’ or ‘determine’. There is serious karma attached because it comes from wrong view.
Quote: But in characteristically colourful form, he (Rumsfeld) admitted the whereabouts of Bin Laden - who has topped Washington's most-wanted list since his apparent masterminding of the 11 September attacks - remained a mystery.
Comment: It suggests that Rumsfeld is such great fun to be with or he finds Rumsfeld interesting and is therefore a form of exaggeration. If in truth, Rumsfeld is great stress (blunt, sarcastic and scowling) to be around with, not colorful, you have a perversion of fun, this person is recommending stress to others, seeking out and gratefully accepting stress for himself. Not only do actors stress themselves by acting, they willingly and go out of their ways to seek stress from others. Is it any surprise they become mad, restless, unable to sleep and depressed later?
Raising Your Eyebrows:
If people observe themselves, they will surely notice they raise their eyebrows or crease their forehead muscles when they greet someone as if to express delight or surprise. This is a form of acting . A Buddha would not crease his forehead to greet anybody.
No matter how genuine you think your raised eyebrows are, stress always accompanies raised eyebrows which are unnecessary and provocative, because it provokes the opposite party to stress himself to similarly act as if pleased to see you.

Force Yourself While You Still Can:
People are forcing themselves all the time but they force themselves to do or say bad things (disguised as good), they force themselves to act, to be nice, force themselves towards falsehood (pretense), force themselves to be restless, always occupying themselves. But they never force themselves to be good, truthful and towards peace and stillness.
One day they will become totally forced to do mad things, to be madly restless and if they don’t make hay for themselves now whilst they can still force themselves, whilst their minds still respond to force, they may be a ticking time bomb that will blow themselves apart.
And what should they force themselves to do? They should force themselves to stay still even when restlessness wells up and they want to get up. They should force themselves to sit still, not think unnecessarily, force out restlessness and concerns for the world and replace it with deep, imperturbable peace.
When you plant an oak tree, you don’t expect it to be tall and strong overnight but it takes time, even years. Hence, if you are anxious to have a strong tree that no evil winds will blow down, you better start planting now and be patient husbanding it to grow.
Similarly, the default state in actors is restlessness and at the moment they are still able to force themselves to be calm, to be still, albeit if their attention strays, they will lapse into restlessness. That the usual state of ordinary people is restlessness, impulsiveness and it is a struggle to stay still even for awhile suggests how grave their plight is.
Hence, whilst you can still force yourself to stay calm, stay still, you don’t regularly force yourself to stay calm by seclusion (avoidance of incitement by others) and meditation, to keep forcing yourself to stay still even when there is impulse to move, you may be setting yourself up for a time when even if you wanted to force yourself to still calm, it will remain restless.

IF YOU DON’T FORCE YOURSELF TO STAY STILL (WHENEVER YOU SENSE RESTLESSNESS IN YOU INSTEAD OF CARRYING ON IN RESTLESSNESS CREATING INTERACTIONS), WHILE YOU CAN STILL DO SO NOW, A TIME MAY OR WILL COME WHEN EVEN IF YOU WANTED TO FORCE YOURSELF TO STAY STILL, YOU CANNOT STAY STILL. THEN YOU WILL WEEP AND GNASH YOUR TEETH YOU DID NOT APPLY YOURSELF, YOU DID NOT APPLY FORCE ON YOURSELF TO ISOLATE YOURSELF FROM INCITEMENTS TO BE RESTLESS (SECLUSION FROM OTHERS), TO FORCE YOURSELF TO STAY STILL (MEDITATE) EVEN WHEN THE OVERWHELMING IMPULSE IS TO MOVE.

Self Identity Views:
Self identity views are false properties of being that a person repeatedly & emotionally ascribes to himself and comes to believe is true. Because they are false and stressful, the person is embracing stress and therefore heading for states of woe. The Buddha says that self identity views together with faith in rituals and precepts and doubt and uncertainty are the three fetters leading to future states of woe.
A person who tells himself and others frequently thinking it is funny or meritorious being self deprecatory, “I am a pain in the neck” starts to behave as if he is a pain in the neck and it soon becomes a habit.

It is much more important that you be Christian, you practice Christianity than you identify yourself as a Christian with all the trappings that you perceive being a Christian entails. It becomes an act and a self identity view.

Ordinary people attached to their selves all have many self identity views, eg I am very pretty, everybody likes me, everybody hates me, I am talented, I am stupid, I am no good.
Below the Buddha is describing how self identity views afflict beings in this world:
"'He has been stilled where the currents of construing do not flow. And when the currents of construing do not flow, he is said to be a sage at peace.' 'I am' is a construing. 'I am this' is a construing. 'I shall be' is a construing. 'I shall not be'...'I shall be possessed of form'...'I shall not be possessed of form'...'I shall be percipient'...'I shall not be percipient'...'I shall be neither percipient nor non-percipient' is a construing. Construing is a disease, a cancer, an arrow. By going beyond all construing, he is called a sage at peace.

"A 'position,' Vaccha, is something that a Tathagata has done away with. What a Tathagata sees is this: 'Such is form, such its origin, such its disappearance; such is feeling, such its origin, such its disappearance; such is perception...such are mental fabrications...such is consciousness, such its origin, such its disappearance.' Because of this, I say, a Tathagata -- with the ending, fading out & relinquishment of all construings, all I & mine-making & tendencies to conceits -- is, through lack of sustenance/clinging, released."

How Actors Pervert Sex:
BECAUSE ORDINARY PEOPLE ARE ACTORS, THEY NEVER EXPERIENCE SEX IN A MANNER THAT IS MATTER OF FACT, CALM (YOU ENJOY ALL THINGS BETTER WITH A CALM, NOT EXCITED MIND), TRUE TO EACH OTHER, PURELY SENSORY (NOT SENSUALLY) WITH NO EMOTIONS, NO FORCEFULNESS OR HURTFULNESS. INSTEAD ORDINARY PEOPLE (ALWAYS) PERFORM SEX IN WAYS THAT ARE SENSUAL (FALSELY HEIGHTENED OR EXAGGERATED PERCEPTIONS SENSATIONS OF SIGHT, SOUND, TOUCH, SMELL), FULL OF EMOTIONS (LUST, POSSESSIVENESS, AGGRESSION), FANTASY (FALSE, IMAGINED THOUGHTS THAT HEIGHTEN, OF A MAKE BELIEVE NATURE, THE SEXUAL EXPERIENCE) AND ACTING OUT (MOANS, GROANS, HYPERVENTILATING, PANTING AND FLAILING ARE ALL ACTS, EXAGGERATION AND FAKING TO IMPRESS OR PLEASE).
Reflecting their delusional natures, some actors are obsessed with sexual fantasies of a sadomasochistic nature eg that there is something mystical, mind boggling or elusive that is just out of their reach to experience, to which they keep pushing themselves forcefully to reach and in doing so they end up doing something tragic (kill themselves or their partners) that they may regret for the rest of their lives or even for an eternity. They may foolishly search in vain for a man or woman they think will deliver them to sexual nirvana that they are willing to kidnap or kill for, they may try all sorts of sexual practices, aphrodisiacs, environments and atmospheres, ratchet up their violence or forcefulness thinking the more forceful and emotional they are, the more pleasure they will experience.
There is murder trial that has gripped Malaysians, involving what appears to be sadomasochistic adulterous sex that went too far and horribly wrong. An apparently attractive and respectable woman died of suffocation in bondage after violent sex with a married man in her condominium. He may have been seeking the limit of sexual excitement and fantasy that was never there for him or anybody. Many have this fantasy that there is something wonderful, out of this world, mystical union or incomparable about sex when in truth it may be emotional passion that once aroused, has to be expended with nothing special, deep or everlasting about it. Because actors can never let their yes be yes only, they feel there must be something just beyond that if they become more forceful they will be gratified in a way they have never experienced before. But it is all delusion because there is only so much sensual pleasure in sex and all the huffing and puffing will not extract more but detract and even end up fatal.
There is in truth only so much emotion (lust or excitement, covetousness, aggression) and sensory (tactile, smell, sound, sight, thought or fantasy, even taste) experience in sex and it is actually (like everything in existence) best experienced in a calm, matter of fact manner. The more emotional & fantasy shrouded the sexual experience, the more stress is associated with it. Hence all the people who seek nirvana in sex or ‘love’ if it sounds more nice to them, be it in an ideal partner, practice, atmosphere or intensification of their sadomasochism are seeking something that is never there but instead are bonding themselves ever strongly to stress and suffering. All sex as practiced by nice people has some element of sadomasochism in it, no matter how loving they insist they are because all actors are driven by ill will that they may try to conceal from everyone including themselves, not goodwill.
SEXUAL PERVERTS OR FETISHISTS ARE ESSENTIALLY NO DIFFERENT FROM DIEHARD POETS OR PHILOSOPHERS OR SCIENTISTS OR THE ZEN MASTER WHO KEEPS STARING AT A WALL OR CHOPS HIS ARM (ALTHOUGH THE LATTER CATEGORIES WOULD UNSURPRISINGLY INSIST THEY ARE MADE OF LOFTIER STUFF). THEY ARE OBSESSED AND BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE THAT NOT ONLY HAS NOTHING THERE, BUT TORMENTING SUFFERING. THERE IS NO NIRVANA BUT AGONY, SELF FLAGELLATION AT THE END OF THE RAINBOW OF POETRY (ARTISTIC CONCEIT), PHILOSOPHY (INTELLECTUAL CONCEIT) & SCIENCE. THE FIRST VITAL STEP IN ESCAPING ALL SORROWS IS TO AWAKE TO ONE’S ACTING, NICENESS AND PUT A COMPLETE STOP TO IT. WITH THE MIND THUS SERENELY RELEASED ONE CAN WORK TO TOTALLY UNBIND, TO BECOME ENLIGHTENED AND SAY GOODBYE TO ALL EXISTENCE THAT IS ULTIMATELY STRESSFUL. NO ONE CAN FORCE THEMSELVES TO BE ENLIGHTENED. IT COMES AS A MATTER OF COURSE IN ONE WHOSE MIND IS (EFFORTLESSLY, NOT FORCEFULLY) CONCENTRATED, PURIFIED, BRIGHT, RID OF DEFILEMENTS, MALLEABLE, STEADY AND ATTAINED TO IMPERTURBILITY. (NOWADAYS WHEN I AM MEDITATING AND SOMEONE MAKES DISTURBING NOISES NEARBY, I DO NOT FLINCH OR FORCE MYSELF NOT TO FLINCH, BECAUSE IT IS NOW EFFORTLESSLY IMPERTURBABLE)
YOU CAN HYPOCRITICALLY FORCE YOURSELF NOT TO BE INTERESTED IN SEX OR YOUR LUST CAN BECOME EFFORTLESSLY EXTINCT OR AT A MUCH LOWER LEVEL THAN ORDINARY PEOPLE, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PUT ON AN ACT YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN SEX. THIS IS NOT TO SAY THAT YOU MUST LET YOUR LUST HAVE FREE REIN AND END UP IN HELL.

Abetting Sin, Not Meritorious:
Nice people, when faced with an old lady making a nuisance of herself by pestering, keep asking the same (demented) questions over & over again whilst refusing to leave and coming back again to ask the same questions, may smile, shrug their shoulders, shake their heads (an act) and act indulgent, even ‘gently’ poking fun at her.
This is not meritorious but abetting and tolerating sin. Even if the old lady is set in her ways, pestering and preoccupied by silly things, she is suffering and there is nothing funny to smile about. She is headed for states of woe and you think it is funny or comical and then imagine you are good.
Further, to be confronted by a pestering old lady is never fun or funny but stress and by smiling, you are denying to yourself and others, telling a lie to yourself and encouraging others to put up a show that it is funny to be pestered. Denial is suffering and to set example for others to deny is encouraging others to similarly suffer, with karma, not merit attached.
Instead the wise person will not be moved, will not find it at all funny, will not in anyway feed her delusions by making dishonest, nice comments that incites. Whatever she asks, he will mindfully reply matter of fact or remain silent. He refrains from being upset and then hiding his upset behind sarcasm or pious pity.
The Sin Of Fostering Uncertainty In Others:
The Buddha said that uncertainty and doubt is one of three fetters leading to states of woe.
Hence by asking someone, “Would I tell you are lie?” you are mischievous, putting him in a dilemma, forcing him to entertain a question that he can never possibly answer with certainty. He will experience uncertainty as a result of being asked a question he cannot be certain and that experience is never forgotten and you have sowed a seed of future doubt or taught him how to wrongfully doubt himself.
For the discerning person, the question itself conveys the answer because the person is pretentious, does not let his yes be yes only, he is incapable of unadulterated truth and therefore he can lie to others, often when he thinks he is telling the truth, it is not quite the whole truth. Such a person might think he is capable of telling the truth, knowing the truth but it may be make belief (delusion). A truthful person does not subject others to unnecessary stress or uncertainty by saying, “I would not lie to you”.
The Difference Between Forced & Impulse:
Impulse is like an explosion, once the fuse is ignited or the button pushed, it explodes and cannot be arrested midway. Impulse is a frequent mode of acting. The explosive, stabbing or demanding ways people do or say things comes from impulse, not force. When something irks you to spit or grunt, it is impulse, not force. Ordinary people just have to see or hear something they dislike and on impulse they cannot resist, they turn away, scratch their heads, rub their nose or sneeze. When actors get angry or jealous, it is by impulse, once triggered the anger or jealousy rises explosively and the actor might struggle to conceal it.
Because acting is going against oneself, so it has to be always forced (or impulsed), excessive force is applied to whatever one wants to say or do. Although it is rapid, it can be stopped in mid flight by applying counterforce.
The third way to do or say things that is deprived actors is attentive, fully aware, flexible, can be altered midway, has just sufficient force to accomplish, is without conflict or resistance to overcome. It is saying or doing things that one means, without exaggeration or faking. It is an exhilarating, enjoyable way of doing or saying things that impulsive and forceful actors have never tasted.
Why No Usurpers?
Could an ordinary person usurp the role of the counselor?
This may be or is impossible because, as Jesus said, the counselor is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. If the world neither sees or know truth, how can they usurp the truth? Truth as the Buddha also said is the highest of savors and hard to see. If truth is hard to see, how can ordinary people usurp it?
Truth may be more exotic in this world than ordinary people think. What they call truth is sham or forged or fabricated truth. What people call being good is actually being falsely and hurtfully nice.

If the world cannot receive truth, neither sees not know him, how can anyone in this world usurp him?

Ordinary people cannot say what I say because what I say never occur in their minds but sinstead other things and even the opposite of what I say occupy their minds.
Ordinary people will not say what I say because they are all actors driven by ill will, not goodwill to manipulate others and that is inimical to saying the things I say.

Ordinary people dare not say what I say because they have vested interests and what I say may upset others, may make them unpopular and they therefore dare not say what I say.
Because the whole mass of humanity cannot (because they cannot see), will not and dare not say the truth, by default (not choice or self election or conceit), I speak the truth solely that even now, many who hear will harbor resentment and doubt.
There is ample evidence that this is so.
There must be many in the world who meditate, some because they are distressed by daily life. How come it has never occurred to them in their meditations that they act and are nice to others (eg smiling and stretching syllables) and it is the root to their insoluble daily stresses? They are meditating to seek a permanent answer to their stress so how come they do not realize they can permanently exit stress by not acting, by not smiling and stretching their syllables?
Psychiatrists are supposed to be experts dedicated to restoring troubled minds to mental health. They are constantly working with emotions, mental stress and conflict. How come they never realized that feelings are different from emotions and how emotions are always harmful and inextricably linked to suffering & torments? Feelings are passive sensations that may be pleasant, unpleasant, neither and arise and disappear with sensory stimuli (touch, smell, taste, sight, sound and thought). Emotions (pride, shame, anger, greed, lust, hate, jealousy, envy, fear) are forceful, harmful, blind, quick to be roused but slow to fade and are the roots to all evil. It is OK to feel, existence is all about feeling but evil and stressful to be emotional. Why don’t psychiatrists advice you to attentively recognize your emotions when they arise, catch hold of them by the scruff of their necks and eject them from your minds? How come pyschiatrists have not discovered that the roots of stress is constant acting, constant forcefully going against oneself to exaggerate and fake in the name of deceiving, pleasing, impressing, dominating others creating insoluble stress and warping the mind? Is it because pschiatrists are themselves guilty of acting, clueless actors and are only act helping, not truly helping distressed patients.
Christians and preachers have read the New Testament repeatedly. How come they still smile and laugh when Jesus said "woe to you who laughs, for you shall weep"? Jesus said let your yes be yes, anything more come from evil. Christians are kidding themselves if they think they let their yes be yes because they utter mindlessly, “Yes! Yes! Yes!” or pretentiously ‘yyeeessss!’ Even after they have been told umpteen times, people who think they are good continue to smile, stretch their syllables and be nice.

Even though truth confers immediate serenity whilst falsehood is stressful, forceful, it is not just a matter of telling people the truth and they will understand and change. Many are stubborn and proud (both emotions), have (forcefully) shut off their ears and eyes and only pretend (again forcefully) to listen or see. Even though truth when understood & put into practice, imbues that person with peace, certitude and serenity whilst their current states, false acting confers stress, tension, restlessness, violent impulses and depression, many fail to grasp what I say because they continue to act, are helpless to continue acting.

In any matter of contention, the right thing to do is give both options a trial: not smile for one month and smile madly for one month, not stretching one’s syllables for one month and then revert to madly stretching for one month. Yet in reality, people are incapable of conducting such an experiment because they are incapable, impotent to stop smiling or stretching their syllables.

Many who called themselves discerning and good, cannot even see that the things they say or do are far from good and truthful but harmfully nice not only to others but themselves and dishonest, not honest as they delude themselves.

Why is this so? It is because people are not masters of themselves, it is their emotions and stress that run them. Because emotions and stress are forceful, blind and harmful, they are driven by emotions and stress to wallow in suffering thinking they are OK, safe when they are suffering and heading for more. People are no longer forcing themselves but forced by impulses that are overwhelming to continue acting despite distress and there may be powerful, even insurmountable forces blocking their exit from acting.

THEREFORE IT MAY NOT BE TRUTH DEPRIVATION THAT CAUSES MANKIND’S WOES BUT SOMETHING INTRINSIC IN BEINGS IN THIS WORLD, THEIR ILL WILL & MALICE, THEIR LOATHING FOR REAL TRUTH AND THEIR EMBRACE OF FAKED TRUTH, AS MANIFESTED BY THEIR ACTING (THAT THEY WILL NOT GIVE UP) PLUS THE TIGHT MUTUAL ENFORCEMENT OF FALSITY AND ACTING BY ALL BEINGS THAT IS THE CAUSE OF THIS BLINDNESS, AS JESUS SAID:
This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. With them indeed is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah which says: 'You shall indeed hear but never understand, and you shall indeed see but never perceive. For this people's heart has grown dull, and their ears are heavy of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should perceive with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn for me to heal them.' But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. Truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

The Folly Of Willing Excitement On Oneself:
Anyone who thinks he is not willing restlessness for himself is kidding himself because instigated by others, they seek excitement, seek to make themselves excited. They listen to music, watch shows and participate in interactions that make themselves excited and even when they are not excited, they pretend to be excited (eg they pretend they are excited to meet someone). Even the normal way they talk and do things, rushed and explosive arouses excitement or restlessness. Even smoking and drinking stimulates them to become restless. They quietly sneak up on someone and shout to give them a fright. If this is not exciting others and self, what is it? Telling and enjoying jokes is exciting or arousing self and others.
Hence ordinary people are frequently willing excitement and restlessness for themselves. As a result, excitement is now very strong in them, easily aroused and slow to fade, they crave excitement, they are forced to be excited, no more forcing themselves to be excited and they do not realize that one day they will lose control of their excitement and restlessness by committing suicide or going mad.
