Mental Blocks & Seizures

Mental Blocks & Seizures:
Introduction:
Because acting is constant, there is a constant, unceasing, stressful battle or struggle between the force of going against self and the force of self-preservation that are usually finely matched but on occasions one or the other gain momentary ascendancy with manifestations that those astute can detect.

Sometimes the force of self-preservation gains the upper hand or is ascendant, resulting in episodes of mental blocks wherein actors forget what they are doing or saying in their acted ways that is harmful but they think is being themselves and they must embarrassingly reactivate their force of going against themselves to retrace the complicated devious thread of going against themselves.

On other occasions, the force of going against self that has become very potent with years of practice betrays early signs of malignancy or autonomy, it becomes momentarily ascendant or unopposed by self resistance to seize the mind and muscles of the body or face in a vice like or forceful spasm.


The force of self preservation is fighting an ultimately and inevitably losing battle, a lost cause that will end in self tragedy so long as an actor remains acting and slowly but steadily, after lifelong acting, the force of going against self becomes more ascendant, the actor’s suffering and torment increases to levels that cause irrational violent thoughts and actions, restlessness and depression. Most actors foolishly think they will escape the ravages of old age (madness, restlessness and depression) but they have a certain appointment or reckoning with them. If they die before their minds ultimately shatter after lifelong emotional abuse, they will then suffer on the other side in propitiation.

Because actors are constantly applying force (sometimes disguised or deceptive sometimes blatant) on their minds by acting (acting is always forceful), all actors must experience occasions when their minds (and body eg their facial or forearm muscles helplessly tense up at a certain thought) are helplessly seized by force or become tensed up against their wishes. These episodes are the opposite of mental blocks when actors forget what they are going to say or do when briefly the force of self resistance against acting overwhelms the force of going against self, stopping the acted speech or deed dead in its track. Mental seizures are when the force of going against self to act temporarily escapes the control of self-resistance to seize the mind and possibly also body with force. The actor may be sitting quietly reflecting and suddenly, disconcertingly, his mind seizes up like a vice tightening up and with it his facial muscles may also tense up. Like minor tremors forewarning future earthquakes, these are early warning signs of future mad loss of control of one’s acting which actors usually shrug off or do not realize the significance.

Every moment spent in anger, stress, restlessness, fear or sadness is every moment’s reinforcement of its future ease of arising, intensity and persistence just like every time a tennis player plays tennis, he improves his tennis. Professional tennis players are so good because they practice frequently obsessively their tennis. Hence, even if you think your facial and bodily expressions are genuine or beneficial, every time you express yourself (eg smile, grimace, scowl, smirk), you are improving your expression you do not realize wil seize you painfully later.
The reason why adult actors are so slick and consistent in their expressions is because they have practiced them so often so well so long that they now do not have to force themselves to express anymore but they are now forced by powerful urges, even explosive impulse that cannot be denied once triggered to express themselves. What they do not realize, even though they suffer severe stress expressing themselves that there will be further progression for the worse. If they keep practicing their expressions, they will become even easier to trigger (trigger happy) or increasingly hard to control and in old age or a severe emotional crisis, they may lose total control temporarily or permanently to express madly in torment. Hence, insist unrepentant that your expressions are charming, beneficial for you and others, genuine but when you finally lose control of your expressions, you can say that again.

Similarly, every moment’s spent in emotion eg anger or sadness is every moment’s reinforcement that you will pay dearly later. The reason why people are so easily and intensely angered or saddened is because they have been practicing these emotions so long; they even fake anger or sadness. What they do not realize is that if they keep going, their anger or sadness will ultimately get out of control and they may be seized by mad rages or depression either acutely or in old age. Hence the wise person will reject anger or sadness every time they experience it, will not create anger or sadness (eg by appreciating sad music) but will instead strive to dwell constantly with a calm clearly thinking unemotional mind until this state is second nature, easy to arouse and hard to lose, the opposite of actor’s default stressed/aggressive state that is easily aroused and hard to shake off.

Force is dangerous because it deforms and erodes its target. Mental forces deform and erode the mind that permits forces to use it as a playground. All emotions (anger, hate, fear, pride, shame, greed, sadness) & stress are forceful and every time the mind experiences them, it is being deformed or warped and eroded or weakened. Because actors are constantly emotional, constantly stressed, they are constantly subjecting their minds to deformity that becomes more severe and permanent, erosion that becomes more severe and permanent. Expressions are always forceful. Force has to be applied on the mind to express facially and bodily. Hence even if you insist your expressions are real, they progressively deform and degrade the mind until it will finally become permanently or madly deformed and degraded.

The Ten Fetters:
The Buddha: There are these ten fetters.
There are five lower & five higher fetters.
And which are the five lower fetters?
Self-identity views (emotional attachment to a false self), uncertainty (confusion and doubting), grasping at precepts & practices (rituals), sensual desire (desire is emotional lust or greed for sights, sounds, smells, tastes and touch) & ill will (dislike, hate, malice).
(The five lower fetters are harmful to self and others and therefore detain a being in states of suffering)
And which are the five higher fetters?
Passion for form, passion for what is formless, conceit, restlessness & ignorance. (Conceit is different from self identity views which are emotional or forceful and false or delusional. You can be passively infatuated or fascinated with your own existence in heaven or the formless planes without delusions, unattached to your physical body, emotions, ritualized behavior. Without conceit, there is no desire to exist further, it is a higher fetter because it does not harm others, it is exalting one’s own existence without forcefully disparaging others. With the cessation of all restlessness, the being ceases to exist because all agitations are false. With the cessation of all ignorance, with enlightenment, the being is freed from all desires and ceases to exist. Change is an essential characteristic of all existence and restlessness is a motive force requisite for change. If you are not restless, do not desire for change, you will have no basis for existence. Hence restlessness is a fetter to continued existence in higher realms. Once ignorance about the true nature of all existence is dispelled, seeing the nature of existence as suffering and dissatisfactory, the being passively ceases existing)
(Existence does not necessarily have to be suffering. You can exist without suffering in heaven. The five higher fetters do not harm others or self but are fetters to continued existence as individuals in the higher realms eg as angels or loftier brahmas. When a being loses his fascination with these fetters, when his passive ignorance, not forceful emotional delusion is cleared by enlightenment, he no longer has any desires and ceases to exist which is ultimately restrictive and unsatisfactory)
An ordinary person has not broken through the first three fetters (personality-view, doubt, attachment to rites and precepts), has not yet "entered the stream" and is destined for states of woe. Once he has abandoned these three fetters, he is not liable to states of woe (hell, animal, hungry shades, ghost and human existence).
Mahali, in one case a monk, having abandoned three fetters, becomes a Stream-Winner, not liable to states of woe, firmly set on the path to enlightenment. Again, a monk who has abandoned the three fetters, and has reduced his greed, hatred (ill will) and delusion (emotional belief in what is false) becomes a Once-Returner who, having returned to this world once more, will make an end of suffering. Again, a monk who has abandoned the five lower fetters takes a spontaneous rebirth 6 (in a higher sphere or heaven) and without returning, gains enlightenment.
Self Identity Views: Those who think they are selfless may be underestimating their self-identity views. People identify themselves overtly or covertly as of a certain race, a doctor, a male, a Christian, a father, stupid, humorous, fat and successful. It is because they have self-identity views that they feather their nests here, care about what they shall eat or wear, how they look, keep fit, eat health foods and pamper themselves. The person unattached to himself does not think of himself as Chinese, a doctor, affiliated to a certain religion, smart or stupid, etc.
Anyone who is an actor must have significant self-identity views otherwise you would not go against yourself to exaggerate and fake to deceive, impress, please or intimidate.
Because self-identity views are ultimately false, your body and all your intellectual characteristics are restrictive characteristics that are destroyed with death, if you cling to the false, you are deluded.
Uncertainty & Doubt: Many people are suspicious and cannot be reassured. Even after they are told something, they still ask, keep asking are you sure, is that so, really? They question themselves and others. Uncertainty and doubt are actually emotional vacillating states of a mind shrouded in falsity.
Again anyone who is an actor must be wracked by uncertainty and doubt because he is constantly going against himself creating stress by faking and exaggerating. Not only do actors falsely fake and exaggerate, they are unable to see they do so and even believe what they act is true. Anyone who lives in falsity, cannot see they are false but think they are genuine must entertain doubt and uncertainty that is inconsolable.
Faith In Rites & Precepts: Again many do not realize they have significant faith in rites and precepts. They keep talismans in their cars to ward off evil, they do things in a stiff inflexible ritualized ways, they believe certain incantations eg Om Mani Padme Hum or ceaseless beading of rosaries are efficacious.
Not Just Stressing But Mind Warping:

Ordinary people are intimidated by reputation but I unemotionally see truth and am not intimidated falsely by reputation to champion niceness as goodness.
Even if he wanted, it is unlikely that he can desist from fabricating this sparkling smile (that is intended to falsely impress) when provoked unless he can see that it is the source of mind warping stress not meritorious and make conscientious attentive effort to efface it. But it is likely he sees nothing wrong and the force of habit that he is still honing every time he smiles is too strong to overcome. As a result, anyone confronted by his ‘infectious’ smile is provoked to stressfully respond and it may be karma not merit to provoke others.
It is always stressful inducing restlessness to smile like this, not joyful as he is falsely expressing. Further the mind must be warped or distorted to produce such a smile. To have a warped or distorted mind is tormenting on top of the stress of smiling thus.
Why Liking & Disliking Is Always Suffering:
There is no such thing as a person who likes and dislike who is free from suffering. The reason is because both like and dislike requires mental force (attraction & repulsion) and whatever requires mental force, like acting or pretending always stresses and even warps the mind creating suffering. This is an universal law and you are a fool to cling to likes and dislikes.
Further, because like and dislike is emotional, forceful it is addictive. Every incidence of like and dislike reinforces the urge or tendency and is transferred to other targets such that the person given to like and dislike soon develops like and dislike that is increasingly intense or potent and is inundated by many targets for like and dislike that he may then have to stressfully hide from others and even himself for the sake of social lubrication. Like acting that may be exciting in an instance but becomes an unbearable burden when one cannot stop acting, like and dislike may be pleasant in instances but when one helplessly feels increasingly intense likes and dislikes for increasing number of targets, it becomes maddening.
When you like something, you must also dislike others, you cannot possibly like everything. Liking in itself is suffering not unadulterated pleasure but to have objects of dislike to be avoided is even more suffering.
Craving, unknowing, the liked and the disliked, delighting in forms and pleasing feelings too, dear pleasures of the senses -- all have been vomited:
never to that vomit can I make myself return.
Seeing Why:
The Buddha said: A being who has not been your mother at one time in the past is not easy to find...A being who has not been your father...your brother...your sister...your son...your daughter at one time in the past is not easy to find.
"Long have you thus experienced stress, experienced pain, experienced loss, swelling the cemeteries -- enough to become disenchanted with all fabricated things, enough to become dispassionate, enough to be released.
Seeing that as simple as let your yes be yes only may appear to be and it is the only way out of insurmountable stress but ordinary people can never let their yes be yes only but much more, I can see why the Buddha is correct that we have transmigrated for so long.
Seeing that as simple as not acting, not stretching syllables, not smiling may be and it is the only way out of insoluble stress that leads to restlessness, madness, violent impulses and depression, yet ordinary people all act, stretch their syllables and smile even after they have been told even those who are supposed to be good and intelligent, I can see why the Buddha is correct that a being who has not been your mother at one time in the past is not easy to find...A being who has not been your father...your brother...your sister...your son...your daughter at one time in the past is not easy to find. It seems passion driven delusion is something very hard to cure in ordinary people.
A Demonstration Of The Noble Eightfold Path:
Many dismiss the Noble Eightfold Path as ho hum or anachronistic in this scientific know all age where we know better but instead they, including top Buddhists fail (miserably) to grasp and therefore do justice to its profound message in its entirety. They have remembered by rote and are pleased to regurgitate it out (a forceful act) to impress themselves and others without understanding what it meant and therefore they do not derive benefit or derive honor for showing the way to others..
The reason people are absent minded, they sometimes (as a result of momentary act failure or disruption) embarrassingly ask others, “What was I talking about or doing just now?” is because they do not pay attention to what they say or do; they do not have right mindfulness, a factor in the path.
When you smile whilst you speak, the smile (or grimace or scowl) detracts and distracts from what you want to say and you cannot be mindfully speaking or speaking letting your yes be yes only.
If your true intention is to speak, why do you smile (or grimace or scowl)? If your true intention is to smile, why do you speak? As a result, you are doing neither sincerely, truly but you are doing both (smiling and speaking) somnolently, approximately or acting. If you insist (defiance is always emotional & forceful) that you can nevertheless speak and smile mindfully at the same time and it turns out to be false, then you are deluded, forcefully believing and practicing what is false is true and there are two destinations for wrong view, hell or the animal womb. It is always stressful to juggle, hence if you must juggle speaking and smiling at the same time, you must go against yourself or suffer and that by definition is acting.
When you speak with style, eg with subtly or outrageously stretched syllables you cannot be concentrating on what you say because your style distracts and detract from what you say. If you mean what you say, why do you distract yourself, waste time and effort stretching your syllables?
If you pay attention or right mindfulness to what you are saying, it is impossible for you to forget what you just said or make a mistake in what you say.
To see that being absent minded in what you say or do is not blameless or harmless but it is suffering, sinful and a sign of future danger (from madness) is your right view, another factor of the path. To see absent mindedness as inconsequential, a blameless fact of existence when it is in truth a blameworthy, avoidable manifestation of sin is your wrong view and wrong view leads to hell or the animal womb, according to the Buddha. As a result of heedlessness, you become more frequently absent minded, tormented and even go mad, you will be in hell.
To make a resolution to exit absent mindedness and gravitate towards present mindedness is your right resolve, another factor of the path. Before you can change, you must resolve what and how to change. Without resolve, there is no meaningful change. Hence right resolve is the father of right change.
To then make consistent effort to banish absent mindedness as soon as it occurs or you detect it, to cultivate and sustain present mindedness in what you say or do is your right effort, another factor on the path. Without persistent right effort to efface bad habits and develop good habits, there can be no change. The reason why people have explosive anger is because they have practiced anger so well so frequently for so long and the only way they can exit, not control anger is to gradually efface or rub off anger every time it arises whilst practicing goodwill as the default state.
To speak without smiling or style (stretched syllables, dramatic explosiveness and silences), to abstain from frivolous speech (idle chatter and gossip are forms of telling lies) is your right speech, another factor of the path that promote present mindedness. Right speech is not telling lies (people not only tell lies but the entire way of what and how they speak is fabricated or false), no harsh speech (loud, abusive speech).
Refraining from smiling or emotional gesticulating whilst speaking that detracts and distracts promoting absent mindedness is his right action, another factor on the path. (Not to steal, take without asking or being given, not to kill or harm, not to indulge in illicit sex, intoxication)
To refrain from activities that promote heedlessness that leads to absent mindedness eg frequenting disco, pubs, salesmen talk to sell things to others is his right livelihood. Be careful of advice you give others as a doctor or stock broker. If you give tips that are false or lead to ruin (even winning stock tips promote greed and is bad, not good), you have karma due, not merit.
To dwell calmly and clearly thinking in the present, able to access the first absorption (rapture from withdrawal with discursive thinking), second absorption (rapture from withdrawal without thinking), third absorption (equanimity, mindful & alert, physically sensitive to pleasure) and the fourth absorption (purity of equanimity & mindfulness, neither-pleasure-nor-pain) is his right concentration, another factor on the path.
Anyone endowed with these eight factors has a pleasant abiding here, a pleasant abiding in the future, is secure from future woes.
Many fail to grasp the eightfold path, let alone that they should propound it. No fake or madman can speak like the Buddha says. Fakes and madmen do not dwell on such matters.
WHOEVER YOU ARE, CHRISTIAN, BUDDHIST OR ATHEIST YOU ARE SUBJECT TO STRESS, MENTAL AND BODILY TORMENT. BECAUSE ORDINARY PEOPLE ARE ALL ACTORS, FAKES AND EXAGGERATORS, THE ONLY WAY OUT OF SUFFERING IS TO EXIT ACTING AND LIVE APPLYING THE NOBLE EIGHTFOLD PATH. CALL A SPADE WHATEVER FANCIFUL NAME YOU LIKE BUT IF YOU NEED A SPADE TO DIG A HOLE, YOU MUST USE IT AND IT IS ONLY TO YOUR MERIT THAT YOU PAY HOMAGE AND GIVE HONOR WHERE HONOR IS DUE, TO PAY HOMAGE TO THE BUDDHA AS I DO.
Mental Seizures Versus Mental Blocks:
Usually stressful forceful going against self to act has to be and is counterbalanced by stressful forceful self preservation but occasionally either one is ascendant.
When actors are seized to scream (ala Howard Dean’s I had a scream) or bang the table or screw up their faces, cough, grunt or sneeze provoked by a thought, forceful going against self has temporarily escaped the attention or control of forceful self preservation. Actors have strong dislikes and when they see something that irks them eg two men holding hands or a couple fornicating publicly, they are seized violently to look away, driven by their forceful pretense.
Entertaining helplessly silly, mad, violent thoughts is again forceful going against self temporarily running out of control.
What actors do not realize is that these are early tremors of a final reckoning with escalating madness that will end in torment if they do not exit acting that is constantly digging a deeper future hell hole for themselves.
Collective Economic Delusion:
What Stephen Roach is saying below is similar to what I have said before. The world may be engaged in collective or mutual economic deception living well beyond its means that will surely have repercussions or karma that will not be pleasant.
You do not need to be a Greenspan or Nobel Prize Economist to read economic tea leaves but you need an independent eye for the truth that can separate plentiful chaff from the scant grains of wheat.
Both America and the East Asian economies (China, Japan, Korea, Singapore) that support the US may be spending illusory money they presumptuously think they have but don’t and when the day of reckoning comes it may be disastrous.
America, being the conceited glutton it is, is quite happy to issue IOUs (greenbacks) that the rest of the world is quite happy to receive and stash. In theory America has paid for its imports but in practice, so long as the Arab sheikhs and East Asian Tigers continue to keep their money in the US, it has not truly paid. Should the imbalances that are now rising to unsustainable levels aimed not for productive but consumptive purposes unravel, America will find it is much poorer than it likes to pretend and East Asian economies may find they have much less in depreciated US assets than they think. In other words, the goods they now export so eagerly to the US to support their otherwise moribund economies may be worth much less than they think. It is foolish to keep extending to a customer that has already built colossal debts but because Japan, China & Korea’s domestic economies would otherwise be moribund they are quite foolishly happy to keep exporting to the US to maintain employment.
Apart from this trade deficit, 600 billion USD is circulating in physical paper around the globe, an interest free loan to Uncle Sam. If you lose your money (by fire or flood), Uncle Sam’s obligations to you is permanently discharged. Further, many individuals, institutions and governments keep considerable assets in US denomination that are de facto loans to fuel American consumption and domination of the world. But an apparently virtuous cycle can turn into a vicious cycle and a day of reckoning for America may be looming.
If fund managers who dominate the world stock markets were investing their own money, the world stock markets may have crashed and remained crashed long ago. But because they are investing other people’s money and they are rewarded for performing or rising stocks, the onus is on them to prop and keep propping the market until a final reckoning. If & when stock markets return to realistic valuations, many people will find they are much less rich as they not only imagined themselves to be but spent on borrowed money. If bankers were lending their own money, they would be more scrupulous who they lent to but because they are paid for profits, they lend as much as they possibly can and leave problems to those who come later.
Just as humans severely underestimate the faking and exaggerating they are guilty of (like the tip of the iceberg), they may also severely underestimate how dire the existing economic and environmental conditions are and disaster may strike much sooner than somnolent people imagine.
Mankind may like to think that collectively they are smarter than Bush and his cabal of neocons who thought Iraq will be a cakewalk or cinch when it is a hell hole. If Bush knew what is happening now, would he have second thoughts? Do you think mankind knows what is in store for it?
Then Jesus told his disciples, "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself (deny himself the sins of acting men) and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? (Men foolishly secure their lives by acting and being nice to each other to gain material wealth and status but they will forfeit their lives) Or what shall a man give in return for his life? For the Son of man is to come with his angels in the glory of his Father and then he will repay every man for what he has done. Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom." (There are some who by their virtue will be born in heaven there to remain till the end of the Age)
World economy coming apart
America's burgeoning current account deficit financed by China's red-hot economy is a deadly combination, says STEPHEN S ROACH
THE world economy is on a collision course. The United States - long the main engine of global growth and finance - has squandered its domestic saving and is now drawing freely on the rest of the world's saving pool.
East Asian central banks, especially those in Japan and China, have become America's financiers of last resort. But in doing so, they are subjecting their own economies to increasingly serious risk. Breaking points are always tough to pinpoint. But I suspect that the trigger is now close at hand. Like everything else in the world today, it could well be made in China.
The case for mounting US imbalances is all too familiar. An extraordinary shortfall in national saving has led to a record and ever-widening current-account deficit. But there is an important twist: Unlike the latter half of the 1990s, when the US was running 'good' external deficits to fund an investment-led growth dynamic, today's shortfall is 'bad' because it is financing open-ended government budget deficits and the excess spending of American consumers. And these deficits have had a corrosive impact over time: In 1980, the United States was the world's largest creditor, with a US$360 billion surplus in its net international investment position. Courtesy of ever-widening current-account deficits, by the end of 2003, that surplus had morphed into foreign debt of US$2.7 trillion, or 24 per cent of US GDP. America's current-account deficit is now so large that it has put US foreign indebtedness on an increasingly explosive path. America is rapidly taking on 'banana republic' status.
But this is only half the story. For every debtor there is always a creditor. Popular folklore speaks of a return-starved world that has an insatiable demand for dollar-denominated assets as a claim on America's productivity-led miracles. That's largely a myth. Private demand for most major classes of dollar-based assets has been on the wane. Foreign direct investment into the US has fallen off sharply in recent years, as has foreign buying of US equities. In addition, there is even a case that can now be made for a slowing of US productivity growth in the years ahead.
By default, that leaves foreign demand for US fixed income securities (bonds) as the principal conduit of external financing. Contrary to widespread belief, this is not an open-ended 'buy American bonds' campaign by enthusiastic private investors from abroad. Instead, it is increasingly a conscious policy decision by foreign officials (governments). Over the 11 months ending in July 2004, foreign official buying of US securities accounted for 35 per cent of net inflows into dollars - more than double the longer-term norm and 4.5 times the 7.6 per cent share of 2000-02.
Nor is there any deep secret as to the identity of the Great Enabler - Asian central banks. The rationale is clear: Lacking in domestic demand, Asia needs cheap currencies in order to subsidise its export-led economies (Asians need to export to keep their economies afloat but in exchange for pieces of paper that may collapse in value instead of gold). Given the massive overhang of excess dollars that have arisen from America's ever-widening current account deficits, Asian central banks must recycle their equally massive accumulation of foreign exchange reserves back into dollar-denominated assets. If they don't do that, the dollar will fall and their currencies will appreciate.
Asian central banks currently hold about US$2.2 trillion, or 80 per cent of the world's official foreign exchange reserves. As of year-end 2003, dollar-denominated assets made up about 70 per cent of these reserves. Needless to say, should the dollar ever fall in the face of such a massive overhang of dollar holdings, portfolio losses - the functional equivalent of an enormous welfare decline of Asian creditors - would be staggering. (When Asian governments want their money back, they may get much less than they imagine)
America's role as the world's reserve currency offers no special dispensation from dollar depreciation or the staggering portfolio losses that Asian central banks would face in the event of such an outcome. That was the case in the latter half of the 1980s and is likely to be the case in the not-so-distant future as well. It has become fashionable to believe that these trends are the manifestation of a new world order. At work is the presumed emergence of a new 'dollar bloc' zone that includes the dollar-pegged countries of China, Hong Kong, and Malaysia, along with 'soft-pegged' economies such as Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. The argument is based on the premise that it is in Asia's best interest to keep funding America's current account imbalance. To do otherwise would run the risk of Asian currency appreciation - tantamount to economic suicide for these export-led economies. There is an added twist of an increasingly China-centric Asia: As long as the renminbi peg remains unchanged, other Asian economies, including Japan, can be expected to follow suit with pegs of their own. That makes China the linchpin of the pan-Asian campaign of funding America's gaping imbalances.
There is a huge flaw in this theory, in my view. Just as America is putting itself in grave danger by squandering its national saving, Asian financiers are running equally reckless policies in providing open-ended funding for these imbalances. China is a leading case in point. I have been a diehard optimist on China for over seven years. But now I am worried that China is at risk of making a series of major policy blunders that could lead to the demise of the new Asian way. This represents a change in my own thinking about China that I do not take lightly.
It was one thing for China to maintain a currency peg in the face of mounting world pressures to do otherwise in recent years. I still feel this was the right thing to do on a stop-gap basis - in effect, providing China's undeveloped financial system with an anchor during a critical phase of its integration into the global economy and world financial markets. But now China is digging in its heels on interest rate policy, refusing to deploy the conventional policy instrument that is widely accepted as the principal means to restrain an overheated economy. China, instead, prefers to use the administrative edicts of its central planning heritage - controlling the quantity of credit and project finance rather than its price.
China can't have it both ways. An increasingly market-based economy is relying on the micro mindset of central planning to cope with macro problems. There are worrisome consequences of this disconnect. Due to the sheer size of the build-up of Chinese foreign exchange reserves, China's central bank is having an increasingly difficult time in sterilising its currency intervention; that runs the serious risk of undermining its control over the domestic money supply. At the same time, by holding its interest rates down, China is further exacerbating the excesses of its overheated economy. The combination of currency and interest rate pegs could well be compounding the pressures that are already apparent in this overheated economy - accelerating inflation, a massive investment overhang, and mounting property bubbles in several important coastal markets.
In the end, unintended consequences of macro developments always seem to pose the greatest risks. Several such concerns trouble me with respect to the growing belief in 'sustainable imbalances'. First, there is the mounting possibility of politically-inspired protectionism in the US. A saving-short economy will continue to suffer from large current-account and trade deficits, putting unrelenting pressure on job creation. The risk is that Washington will pin the blame on Asian scapegoats. Second, China is now hurtling down an increasingly unstable path. The greater the risks to inflation - both in the real economy and in asset markets - the greater the risks of the dreaded Chinese hard landing. Third, Asia's dollar pegs mean that the euro would have to bear a disproportionate share of any further dollar depreciation. Continued Asian currency pegging could raise the likelihood of European protectionism - especially towards Asia.
In contrast with the claims of the new-paradigm crowd, the stresses and strains of an unbalanced world are growing worse by the moment. These imbalances can be sustained only if the major nations of the world all march to the same beat. But the odds are growing short that such an increasingly tenuous arrangement can be sustained. America's indebtedness is in the danger zone, as is China's ability to finance it (China’s has limits to it’s ability to finance). China is probably the weakest link in this chain - its current macro policy mix is simply unsustainable. If China doesn't back away from the potentially lethal combination of currency and interest rate pegs, global rebalancing could then move into a far more dangerous phase.

We are a successful breed. Our advance from our hominid origins has brought us near-dominance of the world, and a rapidly accelerating understanding of it.
Scientists now say we are in a new stage of the Earth's history, the Anthropocene Epoch, when we ourselves have become the globe's principal force. (Jesus said the ruler of the earth will be judged)
But several eminent scientists are concerned that we have become too successful - that the unprecedented human pressure on the Earth's ecosystems threatens our future as a species.
We confront problems more intractable than any previous generation, some of them at the moment apparently insoluble.

Where most experts agree that a crisis is brewing:
 Food: An estimated 1 in 6 people suffer from hunger and malnutrition while attempts to grow food are damaging swathes of productive land.
 Water: By 2025, two thirds of the world's people are likely to be living in areas of acute water stress.
 Energy: Oil production could peak and supplies start to decline by 2010
 Climate change: The world's greatest environmental challenge with increased storms, floods, drought and species losses predicted.
 Biodiversity: Many scientists think the Earth is now entering its sixth great extinction phase.
 Pollution: Hazardous chemicals are now found in the bodies of all new-born babies, and an estimated one in four people worldwide are exposed to unhealthy concentrations of air pollutants.
All six problems are linked and urgent, so a list of priorities is little help.
It is pointless to preserve species and habitats if climate change will destroy them anyway, or to develop novel crops if the water they need is not there.
And underlying all these pressures is a seventh - human population.
There are already more than six billion of us, we shall probably number about 8.9bn by 2050.
Population growth means the absolute number living in poverty goes on rising.
Poverty leaves many people no choice but to exploit the environment.
Difficult dilemmas
Planet under pressure is more about questions than answers. What sort of lifestyle can the Earth sustain?
How many of us can live at northern consumption levels, and what level should everyone else be expected to settle for?
How can we expect poor people to respect the environment when they need to use it to survive?
Are eco-friendly lives a luxury for the rich or a necessity for everyone?
And how can we act when sizeable and sincere parts of society say we are already overcoming the problems, not being overwhelmed by them?
Survival
As many see it, we are not doing too badly.
The challenge we face is not about feeling guilty for our consumption or virtuous for being "green" - it is about the growing recognition that, as the human race, we stand or fall together.
A Whimper:
When John Kerry decried Bush’s broad coalition as consisting only of the US, UK & Australia, Bush retorted foolishly, “You forgot Poland”. Silence may be a preferable response. Does it matter if Kerry forgot Poland or Spain or Italy except to be pettily petulant? It reflects America’s nature that he is still popular and people think it wise to elect him. What he is said dovetail with his sitting pretending to read a story book for seven minutes when told of the 9/11 attacks.
Delight & Disappointment Is Like & Dislike:
To be delighted by certain things and disappointed by certain things too is a form of liking and disliking and the stronger or more prolonged your delight and disappointment, the more you suffer.
Disappointment is never pleasure but always suffering. Delight is more deceptive because the initial excitement is emotional and forceful and gives a false sense of wellbeing or gain but as soon as the initial euphoria is exhausted or inevitably fades and reality sets in there is disappointment apart from disagreeable exhaustion from being roused by excitement. Further, delight in actors is never matter of fact, passive but always forcefully acted, exaggerated, even faked consuming great energy generating stress that impacts once the excitement passes.
You can be passively delighted (if you are not an actor) and that is less suffering than active acted delight because it is forceless. You can be passively disappointed and that is less suffering than active, forceful disappointment but it is in the nature of actors that they can never be passively disappointed but they must get emotionally worked up. The more energy and force you foolishly invest in your delights and disappointments, the more you suffer. That is the universal law.
The person who is truly freed even of passive delight and disappointment, who is without any delight or disappointment in this world is the person truly freed of suffering.
The Bull In A China Shop:
Stress and emotions (anger, likes and dislikes, fear, anxiety, pride and shame, greed, lust, jealousy, emotional doubt and uncertainty, fear, hate, malice) are like the bull in the China shop (your mind). Every time it bellows and moves, it breaks some china and the wise person will learn to recognize emotions immediately as they arise and shove them out of the door as soon as he can. The longer anyone allows the bull to stay in the china shop, the more reluctant it is to leave.
The only way anyone can eradicate emotions and stress is by effacement or right effort, as the Buddha said. You cannot transform yourself from a goat to a sheep, from untamed to tamed without effort, without effacement, without doing what the Buddha exhorts, whatever your religious affiliation.
First you must address emotions and stress at its source. It is acting that is the renewing fountain of stress and emotion. Unless a person exits acting, it is fruitless vexation bringing more stress and thence emotions. So long as a person continues to stretch his syllables and smile, he will never get rid of his stress and emotions.
Simultaneously, the person effaces emotions eg anger that has arisen by banishing it as rapidly as he can. Initially it might take him 10 minutes but if he is persistent, it takes him progressively shorter time to banish anger until he can nip it at the bud the moment it arises. A person who effaces his emotions and stress automatically reduces the fuel that feeds acting. Just as he effaces unwholesome states that have arisen, he fosters wholesome states (goodwill, calm clarity) that have not arisen and nurtures them until he is permanently calm, clearly thinking in goodwill.
If he has been persistent and applied himself correctly, he will imbue himself with permanent calm clarity, will have a pleasant abiding now, pleasant abiding later and headed for safety not woe.
The Secret Of All Oratory:
The secret ingredient of oratory is fakery.
If you recollect how you felt when you were truly angry or fearful, eg when you were engaged in a heated argument with someone, if I told you then to smile or laugh, it would be most difficult if not impossible for you to smile or laugh because you are seized by your fight or flight emotions.
Yet orators can be fiery one moment, whispering gently the next only to smile in delight the next and then be as if down in the dumps.
This can only happen if it is entirely faked to impress. There are no true emotions (eg anger or fear) behind the florid expressions but it is all very dramatically faked to convince mesmerized fellow actors it is real.
Even when there is true anger underlying the expression of anger, it is acted out to impress or intimidate.
Why Telling Jokes Is Not Harmless:
If you watch people telling jokes, they seldom stop at one joke but their emotions stirred, they think of and continue telling jokes until the stress builds up to force them to stop. This is because telling jokes is always emotional or forceful and therefore it has momentum and is addictive. The reason why people have irresistible urge to tell or appreciate jokes is that the urge is so strong after lifelong practice.
Like everything that is forceful and addictive, the foolish person does not realize that urge may become uncontrollable, mad. If telling jokes was truly pleasurable, then people shouldn’t stop but they should spend all their time telling jokes. Instead joking is an acquired taste to please or impress others, mirth leads to restlessness and mental daze that forces the joker to desist after awhile. Because jokes are false, have to be fabricated and the appreciation too is forcefully fabricated that has become so real jokers think they are really appreciating, it warps the mind apart from assaulting it with stress and the joker is headed for an appointment with madness.
Faith In Rituals & A Helpless Automaton:
I noticed a few of my shirt collars are showing advanced signs of premature wear as a predictable result of my servant’s brutal scrubbing that is unpleasantly audible every morning as I sit meditating. Anyone who makes noises that distresses others eg by scrubbing harshly creates karma that may be more serious than people concede.
In truth my collars were never badly stained to warrant such brutal scrubbing that is also unnecessarily abusing her arms but it is mindless ingrained brutality that drives her to do so, despite me having told her not to scrub it so hard. It is a waste of time telling her because forceful actors are no more in control over their forcefulness anymore than they can determine when they will pass away.
Yet she is religious in a way that would impress fellow actors. I happened to see her one day all draped in white robes, facing presumably Mecca, standing on a mat, holding her arms folded across her chest in silent prayer. What is the use of pious prayers when you treat articles in a harsh manner (Jesus what you did to the least of me, you did it to me), when you always speak in a loud, explosive way with outrageously stretched syllables except that is a faith in rites and precepts that is not meritorious as foolish fellow actors are moved to appreciate but leads to states of woe as the Buddha said. Hence if you are impressed (only actors who strive to impress others can be impressed by others) when you see her dramatically dressed in robes in prayers, you may share a similar delusional faith in rites and precepts that leads not to heaven but woe.
IT MAY BE AN ABIDING DELUSION THAT THERE IS GOOD AND BAD IN EVERYBODY, SO SHUT UP & TRY TO APPRECIATE OTHERS. I SHIT YOU SHIT SO SHUT UP AND LET’S SHIT TOGETHER. WHAT PEOPLE SEE AS THE GOOD IN OTHERS IS THE ACTED GOOD TO GET ALONG AND IMPRESS. A PERSON IS A GOAT OR A GOAT IN SHEEPSKIN UNTIL THE DAY HE TRULY REFORMS TO BECOME A SHEEP. THERE ARE NO PART TIME ACTORS AND A PERSON IS AN ACTOR DRIVEN BY ILL WILL THAT MAY BE SO CAREFULLY DISGUISED THE ACTOR THINKS HE HAS GOODWILL, UNTIL THE DAY IF EVER HE EXITS ACTING.

The Importance Of Right Concentration

The Importance Of Right Concentration:
You may be a brilliant student full of knowledge but if during an important exam that you are anxious to do well, you panic (distracted, poor concentration), become confused and fail to recall many things you knew, you may not do well but even fail.

You may be very good (eg do not kill, steal, tell lies, speak harshly), very discerning (know smiling and stretching syllables are harmful, stressful not good) and very selfless (not concerned with what you shall wear or eat) but if you do not have right concentration, you can be provoked by others around to join in to smile, laugh and stretch your syllables and even if you refused, you will have to constantly apply force in a fabricated, stressful way to act not be independent, act solemn.

Most people if they have the time or the inclination to observe their minds, may find it is never passively or effortlessly calm and concentrated but it is often tensed, restless, stressed, filled with emotions (jealousy, anger, dislike, craving, desire) and only occasionally, when occasions demand (eg to impress others how in control they are of their faculties) they can force themselves to stay still or as if listening attentively during a speech and even then their attention is wandering, they are daydreaming during the speech. When they have a exam, they can usually force themselves to be forcefully concentrated to excel in the task at hand.

Concentration is of two types.

Forceful fabricated concentration that is stressful to maintain and can be disrupted aimed at material pursuits eg passing exams or excelling in sports and passive effortless noble concentration (or imperturbability or independence of mind) that arises in meditation as the inevitable result of a mind truly (not make believe) rid of all defilements (emotions eg fear, anger, like, dislike; getting rid of ill will, covetousness, sloth and torpor, restlessness and worries and doubt). Like a glass of turbid water that is permitted to stand gradually clears, passive noble concentration arises in a mind that is allowed to clear instead of being roiled by emotions and concerns regarding the world. Passive noble concentration is much deeper and unknown to ordinary people (even most mystics because it requires concomitant virtue, discernment and selflessness), comprises the four absorptions (noble rapture with discursive thoughts, noble rapture without thinking, equanimity, attentive and finally pure equanimity, neither pain nor pleasure. Passive noble concentration that is nurtured in meditation is carried over to daily life so that, as the Buddha said, whatever he does, sitting, standing, lying down, conversing, doing things, he does them all with ease.
When I was meditating recently I was aware of the intrusion of the creaking ceiling fan and no matter how I tried to shake off the irritating intrusion it would not but very soon, as my state of mind settled down, the irritation completely disappeared even though I was still aware of its creaking rotation. It appears it is possible to elevate one’s mental state both in meditation and in daily life so that one may interact with others without being annoyed or stressed by their harshness. Nowadays I can conduct conversations with testy people who pester me without being drawn in.

Why The Buddha Is No Fake:
For the discerning, there is much evidence that suggest the Buddha is not a fake, where many gurus that ordinary people instead foolishly chose to believe clearly are. There is an important caveat. It is only the Pali Canon that faithfully conveys what the Buddha taught. The rest of Buddhism is seriously corrupted.

For instance, he said the determinants of a person’s being are his virtue, discernment, concentration and selflessness. Can an ordinary person or a fake come up with such a perspicacious statement that is encompassing? Is there anything that the Buddha left out you can think of?

Just because you are very good (do not kill, do not harm, do not steal, do not tell lies, do not indulge in harsh speech) does not mean you are very discerning or concentrated or selfless. There are many people who call themselves good but reflecting their lack of discernment cannot see into the true nature of smiling or stretching syllables. Many are even unaware they stretch their syllables not occasionally but all the time and they still smile. If you are truly discerning, you will realize that smiling and stretching syllables are fabrications or fakes, stresses not benefit yourself and the recipient. It is because they are not discerning and cannot see the link between smiling and stretching syllables t their stress, restlessness and mad impulses that they continue to do so. Just because you are very good, very discerning (you know smiling is lying and stressful) does not mean you are very concentration (calm and clearly thinking) to be able to effortlessly withstand provocations by others to smile and stretch syllables. Just because you are good, discerning, concentrated does not mean you are selfless, not conceited or attached to your self.

Hence virtue, discernment, concentration and selflessness very different entities but they are all important in determining the fate of a being. Is there anything else you and think of that the Buddha has left out?
The Noble Eightfold Path is more profound than ordinary people detained in defilements are capable of discerning and therefore are able to do justice in appreciating it in its entirety. It is not the Noble Eightfold Path that is ho hum but people are ho hum, heedless and heading for punishment:
Magga-vibhanga Sutta:An Analysis of the Path
The Blessed One said, "I will teach & analyze for you the Noble Eightfold Path."
The Blessed One said, "Now what, monks, is the Noble Eightfold Path? Right view, right resolve, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration.
"And what, monks, is right view? Knowledge with regard to stress, the origination of stress, the stopping of stress, the way of practice leading to the stopping of stress. (Right view with fermentation is that there is father and mother, this and other world, good and bad)
"And what is right resolve? Being resolved on renunciation, freedom from ill will. (Just because you resolve not to be angry in the future does not mean you will be, but to resolve to be so is an important first step that you must than put in practice with right effort)
"And what is right speech? Abstaining from lying, divisive speech, abusive speech, idle chatter (gossip). (Most people are kidding themselves because they are exaggerating and faking all the time, which is why they never derive any benefit from right speech)
"And what, monks, is right action? Abstaining from taking life, stealing, sexual intercourse.
"And what, monks, is right livelihood? A noble disciple, having abandoned dishonest livelihood, keeps his life going with right livelihood.(salesman trying to use his charm to make sales, butchers, selling guns)
"And what, monks, is right effort? (i) There is the case where a monk generates desire, activates persistence, & exerts his intent for the non-arising of evil, unskillful qualities that have not yet arisen. (ii) He generates desire, persistence, for the sake of the abandonment of evil, unskillful qualities that have arisen. (iii) He generates desire, activates persistence, for the arising of skillful qualities that have not yet arisen. (iv) He generates desire, activates persistence for the maintenance, development, & culmination of skillful qualities that have arisen. (A monk must generate desire, persistence and force to prevent evil or unskillful qualities eg lust from arising and eliminating them when they have arisen, he must generate desire, persistence and force to cause skillful qualities eg goodwill, non anger to arise and maintain them)
"And what, monks, is right mindfulness? (i) There is the case where a monk remains focused on the body in & of itself putting away greed & distress. (ii) He remains focused on feelings in & of themselves. (iii) He remains focused on the mind in & of itself -- putting away greed & distress. (iv) He remains focused on mental qualities in & of themselves. (Mindfulness is paying attention. You must pay attention to stress, smiling, stretching syllables in order to eliminate them)
"And what, monks, is right concentration? (i) There is the case where a monk -- quite withdrawn from sensual pleasures, unskillful (mental) qualities -- enters & remains in the first jhana. (noble joy with discursive thinking)(ii) With the stilling of directed thought & evaluation, he enters & remains in the second jhana. (iii) With the fading of rapture, he remains in equanimity, mindful & fully aware, and physically sensitive of pleasure. He enters & remains in the third jhana.' (iv) With the abandoning of pleasure & pain he enters & remains in the fourth jhana: purity of equanimity & mindfulness, neither pleasure nor pain.
Now Versus Then:
If you were discerning and compared the way people spoke and sang (listen to past recordings) previously to how they spoke now, you may detect a difference that reflects the change in consciousness.
Prior to the last few years, ordinary people’s speech may be characterized by being monotonously loud and harsh in a dragging way but today, reflecting the change, the vast majority of people talk (and do things) to a greater or lesser extent in a loud and explosively harsh way.
This explosive speech is characterized by a rapid acceleration in loudness and speed of speech followed by a rapid deceleration of loudness and speed where previously it was the loudness and dragging of syllables that made it harsh.
In the same way, what and the way people do things, react to things today is explosive compared to the harsh, dull, dragging way they did perhaps 5 years ago.
IN A NUTSHELL:
THE CURRENT CONSCIOUSNESS CHANGE THAT INVOLVED EVERYONE IS ESSENTIALLY ABOUT A COMPULSORY MODIFICATION OF ACTING BY EVERYONE (A REDUCTION IN INTENSITY AND SPEED OF ACTING) IN RESPONSE TO PERECEIVED CHANGES IN OTHERS TO REAP A REDUCTION IN BASELINE STRESS LEVELS THAT IS VISIBLE IN EVERYONE’S CHANGED APPEARANCE AND BEHAVIOR BUT REFLECTING THEIR TRUE NATURES THAT THEY ARE NOT AS GOOD AS THEY THINK THEY ARE, NO ONE I CAN HAS EXITED ACTING. THE REASON IS THAT EVEN THOUGH EXITING ACTING IS INCOMPARABLE RELEASE FROM STRESS, RESTLESSNESS, MADNESS AND DEPRESSION, PEOPLE ARE STUBBORN, PROUD, CONTINUING SLAVES OF EMOTIONS AND ILL WILL, THINK THEY ARE GOOD, IT IS DRIVEN OUT OF SELFISHNESS TO ALTER ONE’S ACTING TO REDUCE STRESS AND ANOTHER THING TO QUIT ACTING THAT INVOLVES QUITING PERSECUTION OF OTHERS AND EMBRACING TRUE NOT HYPOCRITICAL GOODWILL.
HAVING CHANGED IS NOT AN INDICATION OF GOODNESS BUT THE TRUE MEASURE OF GOODNESS IS THE AWAKENING TO HOW ONE ACTS AND EXIT ACTING. THERE ARE NO GOOD ACTORS BUT THEY ARE ALL SERIOUSLY TAINTED AND THERE ARE NO BAD NON ACTORS.

The acting today is more directed, purposeful, forceful, immediate even explosive where before it was more enervating, diffuse, ill directed, generalized and wasteful.

What Essentially Surprised Me:
Many people I interacted with over recent years have expressed uncommon pleasure or aversion but I could not see and did not expect everyone to follow suit and change consciously again like I was but I expected some of those who listened to me to understand and therefore exit acting as I have done. Even much earlier, I had detected changes in those who interacted with me but I could not be certain and did not see everyone changing.
Instead, everyone including the most evil has changed probably because the new way of existing must clearly and indisputably be superior in terms of stress reduction but those who interacted with me daily, those who have been told what acting is all about still stubbornly exhibit acting.
That everyone has changed again reflects that despite the change in 1978 they were under significant stress and the recent change is a further redress to stress triggered by observing changes in others they never imagined existed. They fact that they have all not exited acting suggests people are very stubborn, not as good or discerning as they imagine and to exit acting is something far harder to achieve for people even though it offers incomparable release from stress, restlessness, mad/silly/violent thoughts and depression.
Why I Am The Trigger Of The Current Change:
This recent change is not a change in morphology (eg growing horns on their heads or a tail), not a change in perceptions (greater intelligence or supernatural powers) but is essentially a consciousness change in everyone causing change in their appearances, speech and behavior.
Because the change is a change in behavior and acting is universal involving the constant forceful exaggerating or faking of everything and how everyone perceives, thinks, does and speaks, this recent change is essentially a change in how people act, not a change from acting to non-acting. Although everyone has visibly changed, they continue to act but in a changed way.

Unless one postulate there are multiple independent triggers of this change in people’s acting (how and what they act) then I must be the trigger of recent consciousness changes because I was independently changing myself over the years; altering myself behaviorally in ways that went against ALL norms in unprecedented ways through a combination of incremental personal & religious insights, increasingly proficient meditation and behavior change that were aimed at eradicating all acting and thence stress in me.
Because I was changing gradually by myself, I was not influenced by anyone I saw or heard, without other coincident unknown triggers, I have to be the only trigger of recent changes.

The basis of my own independent extraordinary change is my progressive, relentless awakening or insights as to how people act and are falsely nice not good to each other. By putting into practice these insights I progressively exited my (shallow) acting to achieve a revolutionary permanent consciousness change wherein I was effortlessly serene, freed from the previous restlessness, mad/violent thoughts and episodic depression that I never dreamt possible for a person to exist in. Unless there are multiple triggers who independently realized the nature of acting themselves, put a stop to acting themselves and thereby became catalysts for change in others, I am the trigger yet again.

Because the recent changes is entirely out of the norm, unexpected, I doubt anyone (though I had experienced two previous episodes of being totally incapable of suffering, I never dreamt beforehand that existence in current consciousness state today is possible) could have imagined before hand they would exist consciously as they do today, the person who triggers this change must be truly unique or it would be very extraordinary or impossible for many independent unique triggers to arise simultaneously because as Jesus said, the world cannot accept the truth, for it neither sees him or knows him. This recent consciousness change is a about a reduction in suffering that can only ensue from an attenuation (not exit) of sinful acting and it may not be possible for beings from this world and enmeshed in this world to trigger this change.

Because I have definitely changed permanently to effortlessly not act nowadays resulting in freedom from stress, restlessness, mad/violent thoughts and depression that would be unthinkable, incredible if there had not been a consciousness change in me and I changed spontaneously as a result of my own endeavors I must be the trigger unless there are other independent centers of change.

Is there anybody else apart from me who has said: Driven by emotions, stress and restlessness, ordinary people constantly forcefully go against themselves in a controlled manner to exaggerate and fake whatever and how they speak, do, think and perceive in the name of deceiving, impressing, pleasing, dominating and intimidating others creating stress, restlessness, violent/mad violent thoughts and depression?

I did not copy this insight from anyone and my current serene self assured transformation to exit acting is based on that insight. Hence unless it is possible to be the original trigger of this consciousness change in everyone else without attaining insight in oneself of acting and exiting acting or there are unknown others who also came to the same realization, I am the trigger of the current change.

Again that I developed complete insight into the nature of acting where no one else seems to have done and acting being encompassing to embrace what and how ordinary people perceive, think, do or say things, that I have effortlessly exited acting whilst others though they have changed yet again remain detained in acting reflects that there be a vital difference in my nature compared to others.

Living Way Beyond One’s Means:
In theory America has paid for the oil it imports but because it is paid in USD and tends to be reinvested in the US, the money is recycled for Americans to use and if there is a devaluation by the time it is repatriated, foolish oil producers will get much less for their oil. In the same way Asian exporters like Japan & China keep proceeds from exports in USD (treasuries) and when they finally want it back, they may get much less for their exports should the USD plunge.

In What Ways The Consciousness Changes Surprised Me

Anwar’s Release:
I am unreservedly delighted that Anwar is now released (about time), but the fact that Anwar could be released suddenly at the final appeal reflects on the nature of his ‘crime’ and the judgment may not be a matter of objectivity but expedience.
I remember SM Lee, himself (and Singapore) many times victim of Dr M’s barbs, came over (a new water agreement may have been on his mind apart from fear of rising Islamic fundamentalism that is no justification to intervene in other nations’ affairs. If you tried to influence events in Singapore, he would be hopping mad) for a surprise visit at a time when Dr M was shunned internationally, and he said although he felt sorry for Anwar, he felt even more sorry for Dr M because Dr M’s image suffered unwarranted, irreparable harm as a result of perceived brutal treatment of his deputy. SM Lee himself heard from Dr M that he was not responsible for Anwar’s black eye and so trust me, SM Lee that it must be true, it is a perfidious act on his own by his dastardly IGP that Dr M gallantly then tried to shield at great cost to his prestige.
There may be something in common between Bush, SM Lee and John Howard.
If there had been injustices done in this case, then everybody that was involved in its perpetration, including those on the sidelines who supported the wrong side, even if they claimed ignorance, they were misled, have karma that may be far more serious than they ever dreamt in their wildest nightmares because as Jesus said, you will be judged for every careless word you say and therefore think.
(The way and what I write above that is unemotional, hyped, does not incite nor is it frivolous or trying to be funny may be beyond others to emulate, even if they wanted because there are serious emotional or defilement blocks constraining. It may not a difference amongst myriad co equals but a difference between letting my yes be yes and ubiquitous not letting their yes be yes only)
In What Ways The Consciousness Changes Surprised Me:
Preamble: Years before this current extraordinary change in everyone, as manifest in their appearances and behavior, I was already changing. In response to besieging stress, I was already consciously, forcefully instituting behavioral changes in myself that were unconventional and went against the norm in an unique way. For instance whilst others may decline to greet others, they did so either because of animosity (ill will) or they would feel guilty about it. I forcefully willed myself not to please others to greet them but it was not driven by animosity but by an urge to reduce stress in myself and the others (it is never pleasure but stress to respond to greetings) and I expunged (forceful) emotions (not feelings) of guilt in me such that in time I (effortlessly) felt no guilt not greeting, not smiling at others. I sensed the changes in me, my improved sanity and serenity and everywhere I went I detected that people either appreciated (they could sense I was someone a bit different) or despised (because I did not stress myself to kowtow to them). What I did not realize then was that these reactions were not ephemeral or fleeting but because my manner of behavior was in truth revolutionary, not a variation of common patterns, I was compulsorily stirring people positively or negatively in subconscious ways to change culminating in the current consciousness change as manifest in everyone’s appearance and behavior though they still stubbornly, wickedly act.
DID YOU OR COULD YOU IMAGINE 5 YEARS AGO THAT YOU WILL EXIST UNDER TODAY’S CONSCIOUSNESS CONDITION, YOU WILL BE THE (ALTERED) PERSON YOU ARE TODAY?

Even though it is not possible for others to have experienced the same release of their awareness through goodwill as I have because they have not stopped acting, they would all have experienced a certain release of their awareness dependent on how aggressive they still continue to act. Act less, suffer less. If they were to recollect how life was 5 years ago compared to now, they may agree that there are discernible permanent improvements in terms of alleviation of suffering in their consciousness states and behavior that they never dreamt could be possible then.
The mechanism of the change:
Because people did not change by themselves, the only way they could have changed is if they had perceived from the appearance and behavior (including speech) of others who were changing that they realize is unusual, they have never seen or heard before and it evokes without fail, stirs their emotions, jolting them from their pre-existing mental states that they become aware is unacceptably stressful compared to the new way of behavior they are witnessing and thus galvanized, they are ALL seized to use mental force to force themselves to gradually change to adopt the new changing status quo.
A simple powerful motivation for change is the perception that those who have changed are all suffering appreciably less or happier, they too want to imitate as far as their innate natures (evilness or discernment) permit because they do not want to suffer anymore than they have to. For example, if the little girl, a complete stranger, was indeed drawn to my voice speaking in a manner she never heard before to stop silently besides me refusing to move, the experience must have moved her emotionally and stirred forces within her mind to emulate the way I conducted myself. Why should the fast food girl choke when she wished me ‘have a nice day’ after serving me if she did not sensed something touching in the way I did not pester her? This experience might inspire her to emulate me as far as she can remember and render.
Although not everyone was appreciative (even aversive ones may also be affected in an extraordinarily negative way), many times during recent years whilst I was applying force to change, casual acquaintances (patients) whom I spoke to with uncommon candor on subjects people normally do not dwell on, expressed genuine appreciation, they said it was nice talking to me and what I may have done then may be more everlasting than realized, because even though the way and what I spoke then was still acted, it was joyous aggression, not joyless aggression that people are usually accustomed to hearing and it may have served as a catalyst to initiate consciousness change in them.

People may be more percipient and imbibe experiences more than you concede or:

ALTERNATIVELY, REFLECTING THAT WE ARE ALL (ULTIMATELY FALSE) POINTS OF CONSCIOUSNESS DERIVED FROM A SINGULAR UNIVERSAL INFINITUDE OF CONSCIOUSNESS THAT THE BUDDHA CALLED ‘SUCH’, THERE MAY BE SIMILAR DORMANT QUANTUM MENTAL PLANES IN EVERYONE IN WHICH HE CAN EXIST SUCH THAT IF ONE BEING MANIFEST VISIBLE CHARACTERISTICS OF A HITHERTO DORMANT PLANE, HE ACTS AS A CATALYST THAT INFALLIBLY SETS IN MOTION LIKE FALLING DOMINOS, CHANGES IN OTHERS AS THEY SEEK TO ACHIEVE A SIMILAR STATE.
As the Buddha said:
Though for a hundred years one should tend the sacrificial fire in the forest, yet if only for a moment one should worship those of perfected minds, that worship is indeed better than a century of sacrifice.
Although ordinary people are disinclined to accord me any due recognition, it may be or is an impossibility before 1977 for anyone to meet a visibly consciously changed person as I was after 1977 and again today, it may be an impossibility to meet a person effortlessly, unemotionally not acting as I am today before the recent change and if only for a moment a person who comes into my presence imbibes what I represent (true truth and true goodness in contrast to pervasive acted or fabricated truth and goodness), then it is better than a century of sacrifice.
Conclusions from the universality of this change:
The fact that everyone, evil or decent, stupid or smart, young or old, all changed quite rapidly to conform to this new consciousness state that they could not have beforehand dreamt possible on seeing others changing is an indication this change is a ‘no-brainer’, it is unequivocally, indisputably beneficial to everyone. It also indicates that all people, no matter how stupid or evil they are, are not as unperceiving as you might think. No matter how stupid or evil, even though they may never discern why or how, they can perceive unusual changes in others and change themselves accordingly.
The fact that even the most evil also changed, they all modified their acting (all acting is evil, false and stressful) to experience a measure of stress relief suggests that they are not total write offs or totally or insanely incorrigible and the fact that those who call themselves good continued to act after this change suggests that they are significantly less good and discerning than they would like themselves and others to believe. The fact that the very stupid can perceive changes and also change suggests they may not be as stupid and they act (not are) to manipulate others (many people force themselves to act stupid as a result of brutal past conditioning and in time they truly believe they are that dumb) whilst the fact that the so called intelligent are still clueless they are stressfully & dishonestly act suggests they are not as smart as they think.
The fact that everyone has changed is a warning that just because you have changed does not mean you are good and not in danger of eternal punishment because not everyone is going to heaven. It may be not so much you have changed but how passively, emotionlessly true and good (tamed) you are that will determine your future destination.
What Have I Done?
If there has again (in truth) been another global consciousness change recently affecting EVERYONE to greater or lesser extent that is reflected in their appearances and behavior and you accept my (objective) contention that I may be the unacknowledged trigger again just as I (definitely) was in 1977, then in my unacknowledged, completely ignored way, I may have done more than any man alive or throughout history to alleviate everyone’s existential suffering (excluding self wrought suffering for which they have only themselves to blame, eg anguish regarding Iraq that must haunt Bush) by altering their previously shackled consciousness states and further elucidating about the nature of acting that afflicts everyone and last but not least, interpreting what Jesus and the Buddha said in a cogent (convincing) way like putting together pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that no man has ever done before. You may go to the ends of the earth today and in the past and never come across another person who speaks about acting and elucidated what the Buddha and Jesus said the way I have.

Nobody (else) except me can say in truth unemotionally, passively that he caused to change the consciousness and behavior of the whole world, not once but twice. The reason why I am completely ignored, a lonely voice in the wilderness may be because nothing happened (I am talking nonsense, seeing things) or this entire world may be more pretentious, more incorrigible than its denizens pretend they are (including those who call themselves good) and what I caused to change benefited everyone that they could not possibly have dreamt in their wildest dreams.

I was surprised:
I was surprised to discover that clearly everybody (good and bad, stupid or smart, young or old) has changed yet again in a way that is perceptible by their appearances and behavior because I thought that whatever changing had already occurred after 1977 and what was left now was for all those who will be good and true to stop acting because it offered an incomparable permanent freedom from stress, restlessness, madness and depression. It now appears that a further beneficial or liberating consciousness change can and did occur in everyone by a similar domino process as after 1977.

Yet, though everyone has again changed extraordinarily, they have all continued to act in the current new format. Nobody seems to want to exit acting with its torments like stress, restlessness, mad, violent thoughts and depression. Why is that?
Why It Is So Difficult To Stop Acting Despite Its Incomparable Benefits:
Why did everyone change, did not or could not refuse to change again today as it was after 1977 but it is difficult if not impossible for them to stop acting, even when not acting offers permanent relief from stress, restlessness, madness and depression?

Stretching syllables is a good proxy for acting that somnolent actors severely underestimate its importance and it is what ordinary people do all the time, even today when not to stretch one’s syllables is possible, effortless (no effort is EVER needed to do nothing, not to stretch one’s syllables is to do nothing) and confers an incomparable release from suffering. Why have ordinary people, despite the changes today, despite being told repeatedly nevertheless still stretch their syllables helplessly? The reason is because stretching syllables and therefore acting is driven by tremendous force of habit that may have already violently warped their minds, if not degraded them, acting is driven by powerful emotions, stress and restlessness and will not go away unless the actor applies right mindfulness (attention) to observe how he speaks and then applies dedicated force to counter that urge to stretch syllables until a day will come when he effortlessly does not stretch his syllables just like he now emotionally, restlessly, full of effort stretches his syllables to be stylish, nice, pretentious or intimidate others.

The optimistic view is that acting being what ordinary people stressfully do all the time and effortlessly serene non acting being the final exit, the current consciousness change represents ‘work in progress’, reflects continuing change that will in due course lead some, perhaps only a few (but never all) with the requisite goodness, discernment, concentration (independence of mind) and selflessness to finally exit acting.

But for the vast majority, the reason why they have changed but not quit acting may be that nobody wants to suffer anymore than he has to get what he wants (wealth, sensual pleasures) but (despite their protests to the contrary) nobody or hardly anybody wants to be truly good to each other either (otherwise they would have stopped acting long ago), they just want to put on an as convincing a show as they can that they are genuine and hope that they will get away with as little suffering as they can. But it is a big mistake and self deception because they are headed for a chopping board of torment.
Put in another way, it may be one thing (having observed changes in others) to rein in or damp down previously indiscriminate, wasteful, frenetic, always turned on acting and being nice to others to now ration or restrict acting and niceness to occasions when it is necessary thereby achieving a significant reduction in stress but quite another thing to work in a dedicated fashion to eliminate one’s acting because it involves giving up one’s dearly held emotions and ill will to continue being dishonest, to still manipulate others, even if it means continued suffering. Acting may be like playing tennis or cycling, once learnt it is never totally forgotten and though for the sake of stress reduction, people may play tennis less often and less intensely as they previously did, but when the moment arises they can pick up a racket and resume playing well. Though they may act at a lower baseline level now, they can rapidly up their acting tempo, especially if they are indifferent, see nothing wrong with acting, cannot see in its entirety the true nature of acting, do not realize they are heading for eternal punishment.

It is one thing (imitation) to observe other people not smiling or smiling less and how they become more serene and similarly follow suit in restricting the intensity and frequency of one’s smiling but a very different thing to have insight that smiling is false, stressful, harms self and others and then make dedicated effort to eliminate it totally and therefore exit acting. Just because you reduce your smiling to mimic others changing to experience less stress does not necessary mean you must know why it is you should stop smiling.

To eliminate smiling and acting, you need discernment, mindfulness, conscience and dedication. To join the current consciousness change, you only need to watch others change and ape the changes (just like people ape Elvis or the Beatles), you only need to be a) perceptive of the changes in acting in others (eg less frequent, less intense smiling), b) imitate or change your act (to experience the reward of less stress from less smiling) and c) be self serving.
Changing one’s consciousness and behavior in response to perceived beneficial changes in others is largely driven by selfishness; to stop acting that will truly benefit oneself and others requires effort and persistence and has to be motivated by conscience and concern for self and other, something that is woefully wanting in this world of pretentious people who actually don’t care very much for others.

Again to change one’s behavior in a revolutionary way that has never before been experienced in response to perceived changes in others is like accepting a godsend or valuable freebie (FOC) but to stop one’s acting demands attention and dedicated work that is too much to ask of ordinary people who are lazy, indifferent, think they are already quite good and do not realize they are headed for the chopping board down the line.
IN A NUTSHELL:
THE CURRENT CONSCIOUSNESS CHANGE THAT INVOLVED EVERYONE IS ESSENTIALLY ABOUT A COMPULSORY MODIFICATION OF ACTING BY EVERYONE (A REDUCTION IN INTENSITY AND TEMPO OF ACTING) IN RESPONSE TO PERECEIVED CHANGES IN OTHERS TO REAP A REDUCTION IN BASELINE STRESS LEVELS THAT IS VISIBLE IN EVERYONE’S CHANGED APPEARANCE AND BEHAVIOR BUT REFLECTING THEIR TRUE NATURES THAT THEY ARE NOT AS GOOD AS THEY THINK THEY ARE, NO ONE I CAN HAS EXITED ACTING. THE REASON IS THAT EVEN THOUGH EXITING ACTING IS INCOMPARABLE RELEASE FROM STRESS, RESTLESSNESS, MADNESS AND DEPRESSION, PEOPLE ARE STUBBORN, PROUD, CONTINUING SLAVES OF EMOTIONS AND ILL WILL, THINK THEY ARE GOOD, IT IS DRIVEN OUT OF SELFISHNESS TO ALTER ONE’S ACTING TO REDUCE STRESS AND ANOTHER THING TO QUIT ACTING THAT INVOLVES QUITING PERSECUTION OF OTHERS AND EMBRACING TRUE NOT HYPOCRITICAL GOODWILL.
HAVING CHANGED IS NOT AN INDICATION OF GOODNESS BUT THE TRUE MEASURE OF GOODNESS IS THE AWAKENING TO HOW ONE ACTS AND EXIT ACTING. THERE ARE NO GOOD ACTORS BUT THEY ARE ALL SERIOUSLY TAINTED AND THERE ARE NO BAD NON ACTORS.

Why I Say I Am The Trigger:
Way before it was obvious that everyone was changing again recently, I had already set myself on a course of change to combat the oppressive stress I experienced by forcefully being myself, by identifying all sources of stress I could trace and eliminating them (eg smiling, stretching syllables, say or doing things to please and impress them). Little did I know in the few years I was assiduously applying myself in stress stewardship allied to regular, increasing meditation and reaping appreciable increased serenity in my life, I would again arrive at a wonderful state of being effortlessly relaxed, free of restlessness, mad or violent thoughts and depression. After forcing myself not to be stressed all these recent years, it suddenly happened that I no longer had to apply force, I effortlessly became serene both alone and even during conversations with provocative people. Then I started to see with increasing certainty that people everywhere too were changing in tandem with revolutionary changes I myself experienced. Further, I noticed that people everywhere were reacting towards my presence in unusual ways that indicate they are not accustomed to my appearance and behavior, indicating that it is novel and this consciousness change recently too is something novel, that people are unlikely to have experienced previously or even dreamt in their wildest dreams could be possible.
I was definitely and clearly the trigger in 1977 of an extraordinary consciousness change that spread to affect everyone and this current change has the hallmarks of the previous one suggesting together with my own changes I put in practice that clearly antedated this change, I am likely to be again the trigger.
As in 1978, I saw people visibly upset or affected when they saw the changed me in recent years, though it never occurred to me that such expressions of being affected reflected that they were being stirred to change themselves too. Like before in 1978 the current change has gone entirely unacknowledged as if everyone is dumb or mute or incurious (surely people are aware of unusual changes in themselves and others). Like before it affects everyone to permanently change them visibly in a beneficial way and like before I started consciously initiating changes in my behavior that is against convention well before changes affecting everyone became evident.

From my own perspective that I can speak irrefutably in an objective way, I have again changed in a revolutionary way in recent years and I have stopped acting where previously I shallowly was.

People everywhere have changed in a revolutionary way that has similarity to my change but they continue to act. Hence, because I have gone further in a similar change, I am foremost in this global change, I made conscious effort by myself (not imitating other) to change much earlier, all pointers that I am also the trigger of current changes.

EVEN THOUGH EVERYBODY APPEARS TO STILL ACT, HOW MANY IF ANY COULD ENVISAGE OR IMAGINE YEARS AGO THAT TODAY HE WILL EXIST WITH A STATE OF MIND AND WAY OF BEHAVIOR THAT HE DOES TODAY? CAN YOU OR DID YOU IMAGINE YOU WILL EXIST IN THIS CURRENT STATE WITHOUT AN EXTRAORDINARY CHANGE HAVING OCCURRED THAT YOU HAD NOT THE SLIGHTEST INKLING THEN? I CERTAINLY NEVER DREAMT MY MENTAL STATE WOULD BE SO WONDERFULLY EFFORTLESSLY SERENE, CLEARLY THINKING AND BLIGHT FREE AS I AM TODAY.

MANKIND IT SEEMS EN MASSE HAS TURNED A BLIND EYE TO, NEVER OR CANNOT ACKNOWLEDGE PUBLICLY THE OCCURENCE OF CONSCIOUSNESS CHANGES BOTH AFTER 1977 AND TODAY, LET ALONE ANYONE COMING FORWARD TO CLAIM RESPONSIBILITY, SO HOW COULD ANYONE OF THESE EMBARRASSED OR DUMBFOUNDED PEOPLE BE THE TRIGGER BUT INSTEAD THEY ARE PASSENGERS GOING FOR THE RIDE. IF YOUR DEMEANOR IN PUBLIC DESPITE MANIFESTING UNMISTAKABLE FEATURES YOU HAVE CHANGED EXTRAORDINARILY IS STILL SOMNOLENTLY ACTING OR CARRYING ON AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED, IT IS NOT LIKELY YOU ARE THE TRIGGER BUT YOU ARE A DUMBFOUNDED, WITLESS RECIPIENT OF CHANGE. EVERYWHERE I SEE PEOPLE, THIS IS THE IMPRESSION THAT THEY HAVE ALL CHANGED BUT THEY DO NOT WHY THEY AND EVERYONE HAVE CHANGED FOR THEY ARE STILL BUSY ACTING, NOT BEING THEMSELVES. THAT NOBODY HAS COME FORWARD PUBLICLY TO STAKE CLAIM THEY STARTED THE PRESENT CONSCIOUSNESS CHANGE REFLECTS THAT THEY ARE ALL EMBARRASSED OR AT LOSS WHAT TO MAKE OF CHANGES THEY MUST SURELY SENSE, THEY SEE NO MATERIAL GAIN IN CLAIMING SO (NO NOBEL PRIZE) AND THEY ARE ALL TOO BUSY ABSORBED IN THEIR PETTY LIVES.
BECAUSE THIS CHANGE IS OUT OF THE ORDINARY, UNEXPECTED, CANNOT HAVE OCCURRED IN THE TEMPORAL COURSE OF EVENTS, NOBODY COULD HAVE ENVISAGED BEFOREHAND, IT WOULD TAKE NOT AN ORDINARY BUT AN EXTRAORDINARY PERSON TO TRIGGER THIS EXTRAORDINARY CHANGE.

EVEN YEARS BEFORE THE CURRENT GLOBAL CHANGE WAS VISIBLE, I WAS TAKING CONSCIOUS FORCEFUL PROGRESSIVE STEPS TO CHANGE MYSELF BEHAVIOURALLY IN RESPONSE TO STRESS TO BE TRUE TO MYSELF AND OTHERS IN MY TRANSACTIONS AND THESE CHANGES AFFECTED MY PSYCHE BENEFICIALLY AND REACTIONS AROUND TOLD ME PEOPLE CAN PERCEIVE MY CHANGES. I THOUGHT I MAY INFLUENCE THOSE WITH GOODNESS TO CHANGE, I NEVER ENVISAGED EVERYONE WILL FOLLOW SUIT TO CHANGE YET AGAIN. MY VISIBLY CHANGED WAY OF RELATING TO OTHERS (IT IS VISIBLE BECAUSE I SENSED UNUSUAL EMOTIONAL REACTIONS IN THOSE I MET) MUST HAVE MADE A MORE EVERLASTING IMPACT IN NOT JUST SOME BUT IN EVERYONE, FOR THE WORLD HAS CHANGED YET AGAIN. HENCE EVEN WELL BEFORE CURRENT CHANGES BECAME OBVIOUS, I MAY ALREADY HAVE STARTED THE BALL ROLLING BY BEHAVING IN A MANNER PEOPLE EVERYWHERE NEVER EXPERIENCED. INITIALLY I WAS FORCEFULLY BEING MYSELF BUT WHEN THE FORCE OF GOING AGAINST MYSELF WAS AGAIN EXHAUSTED, I AM NOW EFFORTLESSLY SERENELY BEING MYSELF NOT ACTING, NOT NICE.

Foolishly Dallying With Sadness:
Uninstructed ordinary people experience sadness of all grades in their daily lives that because they are relatively mild, they eventually manage to shrug off, but usually after a prolonged struggle and in a haphazard or uncertain manner.
The reason why this is so is that ordinary people have a masochistic fascination with sadness, they think sadness is quite a harmless or an OK indulgence, if sadness is not too intense it can even be masochistically pleasurable. But sadness is instead like alcohol, every moment you indulge in sadness, you are reinforcing your future capacity to experience sadness or for sadness to seize you and therefore the wise person will learn to spurn sadness as he would spurn Dracula’s embrace.
When ordinary people are overcome by sadness, they prolong it, they stoke sadness with thoughts, music that enhance the sadness, they think over and over thoughts that maintain their sadness until it becomes unbearable and they then aggressively try to extricate themselves eg go to the gym or call a friend for a chat. They do not realize that they have thereby improved their future capacity to experience sadness just as every game improves the tennis player’s prowess.

What Kind Of Priest:
I saw on TV the unbecoming sight of a man rushing from the sidelines to accost the leader of an Olympic street race pushing him out of the road and likely depriving him of a gold medal. I read the person was an Irish priest, a rogue priest and he had done the same at another event, a formula one race?
It goes to show there are a lot of very sick people in this world, not least in the religious establishment that I say go right to the top. Many church leaders are in truth tough deluded goats leading others astray. Even if it is sinful forcefully competing to win gold medals, it is malicious and serious karma to accost someone during a race.
You think that the counselor Jesus spoke of will be welcomed with open arms but he may instead be a non viable target of hate and vilification. Just observe the mud slinging in the US election.

Why I Am Also The Trigger Of Recent Changes:
(The recent consciousness change is essentially about a permanent mandatory quantum reduction in endogenous generated stress in everyone due to a reduction in a combination of behavioral & mental changes as if awakening as a result of a domino reaction to perceived changes in others, even in those who are clueless why everybody and they themselves are changing. Seeing how people everywhere continue to act, clueless that they act even after recent changes, even those who call themselves good and discerning, even after they have been told in no uncertain terms, it is unlikely if not impossible that ordinary people could have triggered this recent consciousness change. If this recent consciousness change is about a reduction, not cessation of going against themselves in the vast majority of people, they have only attenuated their acting when it is possible to completely stop going against self that I alone have achieved, it is unlikely if not IMPOSSIBLE that anyone else could have triggered this recent consciousness change. If it is possible to put to a total end tormenting acting but people everywhere have only achieved a quantum reduction in their acting they never dreamt was possible or existed, it was as if another consciousness door hitherto closed has been opened for them, how can anyone amongst them who still now act be responsible for triggering the change but instead they were unwitting passengers sucked in by the changes surrounding them?)

There have in my perception been further unmistakable consciousness changes over the past few years in EVERYONE that I believe benefited them, even though they still act somnolently.

I perceived that I myself was changing in an extraordinary way to become more serene since about 1997 but I could not see that everyone was also changing until much later in 2002 when it became increasingly obvious to me that people’s appearances and behavior everywhere suggests that everyone, including evil ones, too were also changing. In likelihood the changes involving others started much later, probably after 2000.

Again, I may be or am the trigger behind this.

(In retrospect, the second involuntary relapse of being ‘totally incapable of suffering’ I ‘inexplicably’ experienced shortly after I arrived in Sydney in 1985 may not be inexplicable but it may be linked to a period of severe stress I had been subjected to in terms of workload and a heart rending decision to resign my job in Kuantan Hospital, leave a family I was boarding with who treated me with uncommon fondness and my own family to go to Sydney to take up a hard to come by job offer. I arrived in Sydney with a heavy heart and thought it might take me a while to shed my grief but mysteriously, to my consternation, the heaviness of heart disappeared like fog before dawn and I found myself totally incapable of worrying that whilst wonderful, again made life relating with others trying if not near impossible.
It may be my nature after I changed in 1977 that may be unique compared to others that whenever I am challenged by mounting stress or falsity and hence suffering, my reaction was not to submit meekly but my aggression was automatically aroused to confront and neutralize these torments and in that process, I unwittingly started a process of wearing down the shackles of going against myself in me till they eventually gave way resulting in my being effortlessly calm contrary to my own expectation that I would continue to grieve over my recent losses. In comparison, whenever other people faced stress, their aggression was joyless aggression aimed at either gritting their teeth to be passively aggressive or to lash out directly or indirectly at others and themselves that created more stress holding them further in acting and ensured they never experienced ultimate effortless release from stress. My reaction to stress is always forceful goodwill because it is my nature to reject suffering but others’ reaction to stress is either indirect camouflaged or direct undisguised ill will because it is their nature to be tough, to suffer or accept suffering and make others suffer that only maintained them in sinful acting.
BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE’S UNIVERSAL RESPONSE TO STRESS IS TO BEAR IT ‘STOICALLY’ WHICH IS SINFUL, NOT GOOD OR TOUGH IT OUT THEY CAN NEVER HAVE INITIATED THIS RECENT CONSCIOUSNESS CHANGE. BECAUSE MY RESPONSE TO RISING STRESS IS TO ATTACK MY INTERNAL FORCE OF GOING AGAINST MYSELF TO MEANINGFULLY RESOLVE MY STRESS, IT IS INEVITABLE THAT I WOULD SET OUT ON A PATH THAT WOULD LEAD ULTIMATELY TO EFFORTLESSLY NOT GOING AGAINST MYSELF AND THUS CAUSING THIS CURRENT CONSCIOUSNESS CHANGE THAT AGAIN AFFECTED EVERYONE AS I DID IN 1977.

In the same way, the consciousness changes in me recently that in truth spilled over to affect all others may be in response to mounting stress I was again subjected to in 1977, in particular the turmoil related to the East Asian Economic Crisis that upset me a lot, obsessed me because desperate times demanded desperate measures and I perceived many incidences of openly and outrageously wanton or crass lying, deceit, corruption and injustice.)

The Influence Of The East Asian Economic Crisis:
I did not start changing in response to anybody else I saw changing but the tumultuous or cataclysmic, even astoundingly openly criminal events of the 1997 East Asian Economic Crisis (that bear comparison with Bush’s current travails regarding the Iraq War & WMD) probably provided an important impetus because I was absorbed in and emotionally outraged by the gripping events that saw Asian stock markets and currencies tumble precipitously, events that may have been aggravated by Dr M’s ill advised tirades against currency speculators and Soros when there was much evidence of malignant construction & consumption bubbles all over East Asia financed by foolish excessive overseas borrowing that were abetted by foreign bankers who were less foolish than recklessly self serving in wanting to make money for their banks and themselves by lending recklessly and didn’t cared what the money was used for or whether they could recover it. If it was their money they were lending, not other people’s money, they may be more cautious. If fund managers were investing their own money instead of other people’s money, the stock market globally and the US in particular may not be as high and stubbornly high as it is.

Malaysia then was home to 24 hours a day nonstop construction all over the country, including small country towns, using (or exploiting) foreign workers to build all kinds of residential, commercial and industrial properties on a mind boggling malignant scale beyond realistic demand that included the KL International Airport, the tallest building in the world, the ambitious Bakun Dam and the multi billion Putra Jaya, the new national capital. In the aftermath of the crash, there were riots in Indonesia with loss of life targeted at the Chinese and toppled Suharto; the situation in Malaysia was tense with the dramatic sacking and then arrest on controversial charges of Anwar, Malaysia’s former deputy PM, his beating in custody that is impossible to justify and the subsequent trial drew many protests and a heavy handed, even brutal police response.

I took a keen interest in events, subscribed to foreign magazines and newspapers and listening avidly to BBC radio news to bypass the muzzled local press and was repeatedly outraged to read of shenanigans perpetrated on the stock exchange together with unorthodox economic and political measures that were clearly self serving. I was obsessed and would take every opportunity to discuss with patients and friends the truths I perceived behind the crisis. That I was emotionally aroused was reflected by the fact I even bought a small photocopy machine to photocopy foreign news stories and newspapers clippings that I compiled with heavily underlined passages to emphasize relevant information that I passed to my patients and friends who would read. Although I did not go in I also went to Anwar’s house to have a look around at the tense time after he was suddenly sacked.

I remembered in those days, beset by insoluble stresses from disgust at the national political and social situation and job demands, I found it indispensable to spend an hour daily at the driving range or the tennis wall alone to let off steam. Whenever I was aggressive, I felt much better but soon pressures from worries and patient demands meant stresses rapidly re-engulfed me. Comparing with others around, I felt that the way I played tennis or hit golf ball was exhilarating joy but there seemed no joy but only mean cold competitive aggression in others. I could never generate the same venomous swish and loud impacts as others. The reason that there was joy in my tennis and golf aggression even though I was also acting then was because it was directed at the forces of stress within me, at the forces of myself going against myself to exhaust it. The reason why sports in others seem soulless and a pain to watch was because ordinary people were constantly driven by stress to attack their balls to derive a sadistic satisfaction from successful persecutory aggression, the emotional pride of showing off to others they think might be watching or even to impress themselves and by inflicting displaced surrogate punishment on the balls. Those who are timid (timidity and feeling weak is always a learnt or acted condition, existing under suffering to appease others) may also derive some satisfaction recreating but even when they hit the balls they are full of inhibition and diffidence (self conscious) that they are not OK, they always hit the balls feeling not quite OK or people are laughing at their incompetence or clumsiness which is again why no matter how much they practiced their aggression in sports, they never achieved a gradual erosion of their forces of going against themselves. (This is another indicator why others cannot have triggered the recent change because whilst my forcefulness was wearing down my shackles, ordinary people’s forcefulness are driven by ill will or not OK feelings that maintained or even strengthened their status quo)

What I did not realize then is that this climactic concatenation of stress impacting on me rousing my emotional outrage at injustice and foul play plus workload was again stoking my joyous aggression above its hibernating levels to resume forcefully going against my internal going against myself that would end again in my stopping acting, this time with full insight and a more receptive audience in others who, unknown to me, were also changing in a domino effect.

This was a time when there was rising awareness in me that people everywhere were being stressfully nice, not good to each other and how niceness is sugar laced poison. (I foolishly thought then that people were being themselves when they were alone or with loved ones, only being nice to casual acquaintances.) An avid albeit stressed listener of BBC radio to follow keenly political events (I still remember religiously following BBC’s nightly “East Asia Today”), I began to realize I felt stressed listening because the way BBC announcers spoke was not music but pain to my ears and I resorted to lowering the volume until finally I dispensed with listening to BBC when the internet was an alternative (subsequently it dawned on me that not only voices but even the manner articles were written made them stressful to read). I began to switch off the sound when I was watching TV and I gave up listening to all music because I felt that the ways they were played and sounded was a pain not music to my ears. I began to minimize greeting others, not speak when there was nothing to speak, I did not greet my family members without harboring resentment but because it was stressful forcing myself to greet for the sake of greeting and found that these measures reduced my stress load. Although I did not know then, these were all dead end or stop gap forceful steps but they were slowly leading towards a future effortless disappearance of step.

(Music, like the way ordinary people speak is always nice sugar laced poison. All ordinary people foolishly disregard the poison in whatever music they like to listen to, to embrace its momentary sweetness that as a result subjected themselves to poison or stress and they become unwitting permanent captives to sugar laced poisonous music because it is addictive. I am always sensitive to stress whenever it arises and therefore sensitive to stress arising when I listen to music and therefore very soon worked out why music is stressful (too much drama, too much suddenly loud, fast and then very slow and soft, too much jazz or showing off beating around the bush) and because I do not possess a strong craving for music’s sweetness, I could stop listening to music where others are helplessly hooked, which then reduced my stress load permitting me to better examine with my appreciably less harassed mind the nature of stress in life, how it is not blameless or not inevitable that led to my discernment about acting and then final exit from acting. Ordinary people stretch their syllables all the time without realizing whenever they speak in order to be charming, nice, pretentious or nasty because they disregard or cannot see the stress it generates, which is why they can never exit stressful stretching of syllables, a form of acting. I am sensitive to the stress that stretching syllables generates which is why I can work to eliminate stretching of syllables. Here is another fundamental difference between me and all others that may indicate why I am the trigger of current changes. It is my ability to detect and thence become averse to the poison that accompanies sweet niceness that enables me to reject and exit niceness whilst ordinary people cannot see, disregard or accept the poison in niceness to foolishly embrace its sweetness which is why unless there is external intervention by someone pointing it out, they will be forever maintained clueless in poisonous niceness.)

I discerned that the considerable stress I experienced then was partly because I was not being myself but I was forcing myself to be nice to others; to smile, to say or do things to impress or please others, to rush and get angry with others in a persecutory way and so I started reining in myself eg reducing smiling in frequency and duration, stop saying or doing things to impress, avoiding unnecessary social interactions, stop greeting others unnecessarily (I refused to indulge in social banter with my neighbors with whom I had nothing in common), controlled my rushing and anger. In other words, I started to force myself in my transactions to be true to myself, even if it upset others that I did not please them. (This is a resolve that ordinary people content with their lot, their usual stresses, their conventionality are likely to make because they believe stress is blameless part and parcel of existence) I was consciously making a renewed resolve with myself to be true always and in keeping with this new resolve, I spoke for the first time in Oct 2001 to others, at risk of ridicule that I was the person who in 1977 triggered a consciousness change that affected everyone.

On the theoretical side, I gradually refined and defined what acting is and how people acted. Initially, I only perceived vaguely that people were falsely being nice, not good to each other. In stages I worked out how niceness involved exaggerating and faking what and also how they said or did, not occasionally but all the time, not some people but all ordinary people were nice whenever they interacted with others. Then I began to discern that acting was an important part of encompassing false acting, how people faked and exaggerated everything and how they said or did to deceive, impress, please, intimidate or dominate others. I began to see clearly in what ways and how people acted (eg smiling, stretching their syllables, laughing, smiling, beat around the bush, saying mindlessly yes, yes, yes instead of yes). I began to see the mechanism behind acting, how acting is always accompanied by excessive force, is forcing oneself to go against oneself in the name of deceiving, impressing, pleasing, intimidating and dominating others. I began to see that acting was driven by emotions (fear, anger, greed, pride) and stress and had to be constantly forcefully, stressfully controlled in order not to overcook oneself and how this led to insoluble conflict (forceful going against self versus forceful restraint) that inevitably led to restlessness, silly, violent and mad thoughts & depression. I saw how an actor must be stubborn (an emotion) because he is constantly forcing himself to go against himself, how he must feel ashamed (because he was prostituting himself) and must displace that with an inordinate pride. I began to see the difference between passive feelings (that can only be pleasant, unpleasant, neither due to sensory inputs and disappears as soon as they stop impinging) and emotions (anger, lust, fear, pride, hate) that are destructive mental forces that lingered generated by acting and drives acting.

And so it was that I could finally see that not just some but everyone was acting, they were all acting not some but all the time and how acting was ALWAYS driven by emotions and stress to forcefully go against oneself to exaggerate and fake whatever and how one says, does, thinks and perceives in a manner that had to be forcefully, stressfully controlled creating insoluble stress, restlessness, violent urges and depression in the name of deceiving, pleasing, impressing, intimidating and dominating others. Because acting was always forceful in going against self, it permanently warps the mind and degraded it so that all actors must suffer headaches, giddy spells, dazes, mental act blocks and are all headed for total mind failure when they will become mad, manic or depressed.

On the practical side, I strove to mindfully or attentively behave in a ‘no nonsense’, matter of fact manner and often after protracted discussions with me, people told me with genuineness “it was nice talking to you”. After downloading and repeatedly reading in its entirety the Pali Canon in 1999, I started to meditate and although it was initially a struggle, like a wild horse who had been broken in, I gradually experienced deepening calm and clarity that I never knew could be developed by merely sitting still in a disciplined manner and the imperturbable serenity derived from meditation spilled over to my daily life so that I could increasingly be serenely unperturbed during and after transactions with others that in the past would have stressed and agitated me. Thus it was that I came to meditate longer and more frequently everyday so much so that I would not feel embarrassed if I adopted the Lotus position in public eg whilst I waited for my car to be serviced.

As a result of my numerous insights regarding acting, my meditation and putting them into practice I experienced increasingly positive changes in my consciousness state that are inevitably reflected in my appearance and behavior. I noticed that people who met me often reacted in a way as if they mildly taken aback, as if I was someone whose manner they were unaccustomed to, many times people expressed genuine pleasure after talking to me, even saluted and bowed facing me on departure as if in reverence. Conversely others were moved to spit venomously at my presence in the street (or even hearing me drive serenely by) perhaps because they saw in me the opposite of what they stood for, they were tormented and jealous seeing someone genuinely serene.

I remembered one occasion when I left a bookstore my path crossed that of a particularly evil looking man and his facial muscles started to convulse violently, he flailed his arm and averted my gaze as if to hide his involuntary emotional incontinence. My companion (sinfully) laughed and thought it was funny. I then proceeded to a KFC outlet nearby and the girl who served me choked back her emotions when she wished me ‘a nice day’ after I had placed and accepted my order in a manner that was unpretentious and did not pester her. As I then sat eating beside a pedestrian walk, a little girl perhaps a few years old, who may have been attracted by my uncommonly unpretentious voice stopped and stood silently besides and below me on my elevated seat, grasping the railing and refused to move even when her mother pleaded gently with her to go. She later quietly relented without making a fuss.

ALLIED TO IRREFUTABLE POSITIVE CHANGES IN MY BEHAVIOR AND MENTAL STATE THAT IS THE OPPOSITE OF THE NORM IN ALL PEOPLE (WHO ARE ALL VARIATIONS ON A COMMON THEME OF ACTING), STARTING PERHAPS FROM 1998 THAT MUST BE REFLECTED IN MY APPEARANCE AND BEHAVIOR AND CONFIRMED BY MY REPEATED OBSERVATIONS OF STARTLED REACTIONS FROM OTHERS IN MY PRESENCE, VARYING FROM GENUINE DELIGHT, REVERENCE TO SPITEFUL REVULSION, I KNEW MY BEHAVIOR IN RECENT YEARS WAS CHANGING IN AN EXTRAORDINARY WAY (AS I INTENDED) AND AGAIN BEING FELT BY OTHERS. WHAT I DID NOT KNOW THEN WAS THAT PEOPLE WERE ALSO CHANGING (THOUGH STILL ACTING TILL THIS DAY), WHETHER AS A RESULTED OF BEING JOLTED BY INTERACTIONS WITH ME OR BY READING THE E MAILS I WAS SENDING.

HENCE I SAY THAT I AM THE TRIGGER OF CURRENT CONSCIOUSNESS CHANGES BECAUSE AS FAR AS I KNOW, NOBODY ELSE TALKED LIKE I DID ABOUT ACTING, DEFINED ACTING AS I DID AND PUT INTO PRACTICE FOR ALL WITH EYES TO SEE WHAT & HOW NON-ACTING IS THAT HAS NEVER BEEN HITHERTO SEEN BY OTHERS. FURTHER, RECIPIENTS OF MY E MAIL MAY AGREE THAT WHAT I WROTE INFLUENCED THEM POSITIVELY TO CHANGE IN AN OUT OF THE ORDINARY WAY. WHAT I DID NOT REALIZE THEN IS THAT THE IMPACT MY APPEARANCE AND BEHAVIOR HAD ON OTHERS WAS NOT TRANSIENT BUT IT JOLTED THEM IN THEIR OWN WAYS TO TRANSFORM THEMSELVES IN A REVOLUTIONARY WAY EVEN THOUGH THEY STILL CONTINUE TO ACT TODAY.

It did not occur to me immediately but it gradually dawned on me with increasing certainty after repeated verification that, visible by their appearances and behavior, everyone (not just some) was again changing just as they did after 1977, not just locally but globally, even though they still continue to act.

Those who have read what I wrote over the years may appreciate or acknowledge that they have been influenced and changed as a result. In that case, I am DIRECTLY responsible for causing their change. The changes in them will also be reflected in their appearances and behavior to those they interact with and therefore trigger further change in others.

Even though the vast majority of people have not seen me, have not read what I have said, by contagion effect as after 1977, they have all become transformed permanently to become more subdued, more direct today, even though they still act and may have no clue why they are changing because they changed in response to advantageous changes they perceived around them.

Because the trend of recent consciousness changes is from former greater acting to a current reduction of acting attended by decreased stress, and I see everybody has changed but they are still acting whilst I have stopped, this is an indication I am foremost amongst others in the series of this change that others may never attain because of discernment or virtue blocks and I am likely to be the initiator of this current change.

IF YOU AGREE THAT THERE WERE BENEFICIAL CONSCIOUSNESS CHANGES AFTER 1977 AND AGAIN NOW, IF YOU AGREE THAT I AM THE TRIGGER OF BOTH THESE CHANGES, BEARING IN MIND THE BILLIONS WHO EXIST, WOULD IT NOT BE A SHEER COINCIDENCE THAT I TRIGGERED BOTH CHANGES OR IS THERE SOMETHING UNIQUE IN MY NATURE IN CONTRAST TO OTHERS THAT CAUSED ME TO BE A TRIGGER ON BOTH OCCASIONS?

IS THERE ANYONE CONTEMPORARY OR THROUGH THE AGES WHO SPOKE WHAT I SAID? IS IT BECAUSE WHAT I WRITE IS NONSENSE OR IS IT THE RATIONAL TRUTH THAT THE WORLD CANNOT ACCEPT, FOR IT NETHER SEES HIM NOR KNOWS HIM?

When Did The Recent Changes Occur?
The recent consciousness changes were probably a progressive awakening by contagion possibly somewhere in late 2001 but probably gaining momentum only in 2002, more recent than I previously estimated.
Checking my computer file archives, my spiritual stirrings & renewed intolerance to stress probably started somewhere after 1998 (I complained I stopped listening to my favorite BBC radio news because newscasters were a pain to my ears). I downloaded the Pali Canon in Oct 1999 and I probably ‘got going’ in spiritual matters after 2000, I first publicly mentioned I changed the world’s consciousness in 1977 in Oct 2001 and hence the renewed global consciousness changes probably did not start until 2001 possibly even only in 2002.

Why Ordinary People Were Not Happy Before 1977:
The fact that everyone including those who previously acted as if they were happy and well adjusted, those who professed to be good, children and pretty girls I met turned violent & nasty after I became totally relaxed in 1978, indicates they were ALL (not just some) only FAKING they were happy and well adjusted and when they finally saw what they had never seen before, a truly effortlessly happy man, they were ALL jolted convulsively to dispense with their masks of pretended amiability and affability, bare their long hidden fangs to tear at their own mental shackles to set themselves free from their tormenting pretense.

If all those people I saw bared their fangs were all as truly happy as I quietly effortlessly was when they saw me, why did they all become convulsed with aggression? A person who is truly happy does not bare his fangs on sight of anything, nothing merely on sight can provoke me to bare fangs because to bare fangs is always to arouse oneself emotionally and to suffer. Only a person existing under duress can be provoked on sight to bare his fangs that he has all along hidden at great cost of stress to himself that he now, provoked cannot restrain any further but is seized to publicly display his hypocritically hidden fangs.

Nevertheless, I further observed that despite just baring their ugly fangs, many of them immediately burst irrepressibly into delighted cheerfulness as if something wonderful had happened to them despite baring their fangs involuntarily and they went on to greet uninhibitedly fellow goats who happened to be around. This suggests they ALL felt better despite just baring their fangs; something that is extraordinary because when people scowl usually, they become upset and feel morose for a period afterwards, NEVER immediately burst into joy. This indicates that this baring of fangs on seeing me is fundamentally different from their usual displays of nastiness: when they bared their fangs at the mere sight of me, they were attacking oppressive mental shackles which was why they experienced joy, not gloom as would be expected.

The nature of the ugly reactions that greeted me:
THE AGGRESSION THAT PEOPLE DISPLAYED WHEN THEY SAW ME RELAXED IN 1978 WAS FUNDAMENTALLY DIFFERENT FROM THE USUAL AGGRESSION THEY DISPLAYED ALL THEIR LIVES IN THAT IT WAS LIBERATING, EXHILIRATING & BROUGHT JOY IN THEM, SOMETHING THAT IS VERY ODD BECAUSE AGGRESSION IS NEVER ENJOYABLE BUT MORBID.

When your aggressiveness is directed at breaking down shackles that bind you to suffering, falsehood, emotions and persecuting others then it is joyous but if your aggressiveness is directed at persecuting others and thereby yourself, then it is joyless but tormenting. It is because my aggressiveness I discovered in 1977 was directed at shackles that bonded me to suffering and falsehood which was why it was joyous whilst others’ aggressiveness was always intended to persecute others which was why they never experienced joy.
Once I finally exited suffering, there was no further use of my aggressiveness and I was effortlessly calm.
The fact that even today people are still acting and therefore aggressive in a persecutory way reflects the intransigence of their ill will.

Even today, people are aggressive all the time but they never achieved a joyous exit from acting (because I see they are still acting). The reason is because they use their aggression to persecute others and therefore themselves. For example they use their aggression to forcefully stretch their syllables to be falsely nice, nasty, charming, seeing nothing wrong with it when it is stressful to themselves and listeners and they therefore do not experience any joy except faked joy from their aggression but instead they reap stress that drives them to further lash out until they become seized, driven blindly, helplessly to stretch their syllables.

They use their aggression to speak not just loudly and rapidly but explosively with rapidly accelerating and decelerating loudness and speech that persecutes others and themselves, strengthening the stress in themselves that drives them further to speak explosively or harshly. Watch people doing simple daily chores eg washing dishes and they never do them in a soothing manner but they do it with a forceful jerkiness. For instance, they flick a page explosively; they bang a lid loudly repetitively three times mindlessly when a single gentle press on the lid suffices to secure it.

Why Everyone Must Force Themselves Not To Go Against Themselves:
There are a lot of people, even those who call themselves good and intelligent who do not realize they are going against themselves all the time in what & how they say, do, think and perceive things. If you cannot see yourself going against yourself, creating unnecessary stress for yourself, nobody can help you.

If you have reasonable discernment, you can see how you are going against yourself, then in order to change, you must pay attention (right mindfulness) when you go against yourself (eg watch yourself forcefully stretching your syllables) and then apply force to force yourself not to stretch your syllables, not occasionally but in a concerted effort until a day will arrive when you will finally effortlessly (not need force to) not stretch your syllables because not stretching your syllables is passive, does not need force. No force is ever needed to not stretch syllables but you need force initially to counter your forceful urge to stretch syllables until that urge is extinct.

Nobody goes against themselves passively but initially, they are forced by others (parents, peers, society) apply force on themselves to go against themselves (eg to act instead of be themselves, to stretch their syllables to be nice). Gradually, they do not have to be forced by others, do not even have to forced by themselves but they are forced by strong emotions (pride, shame, ill will) and stress to helplessly go against themselves. Because they are no longer forcing themselves but forced by their emotions, they become deluded they are being themselves, themselves is doing or saying things forcefully that go against themselves.

It is the universal law that whoever is dwelling in sin (forcefully doing things that go against yourself is sin) must strive, must apply force in a sustained, unrelenting manner, must strive in a sustained manner to efface or wipe off gradually that force of going against themselves in order to exit sin and suffering. Without applying directed force in a sustained manner, you cannot exit acting (eg stretching syllables). If you apply force in a patchy manner, eg force yourself not to stretch syllables three times but allow yourself to involuntarily forcefully stretch your syllables ten times afterwards, you are not dedicated and have actually reinforced rather than reduced your force of going against yourself to stretch syllables.

It does not take force to not stretch your syllables because you are doing nothing by not stretching your syllables but it always takes force and energy to stretch your syllables that in time the habit energy to keep doing so is prodigious. Hence you must persistently, mindfully apply force to exhaust this habit energy to stretch syllables until it is exhausted and you effortlessly do not stretch your syllables because no force is required to do nothing.

And when you apply force to stop yourself going against yourself, that aggression is joyful because it reduces your stress but if you apply force or you are forced by emotions to stretch your syllables, that forcefulness is stressful because it hurts you.

This is the reason why I felt joyous being aggressive after I changed was because I was joyously applying force to stop myself going against myself whilst everybody else never experienced joy when they were aggressive because their aggressiveness is driven by ill will to persecute others and themselves.

Unless you are already a saint, you must apply directed force or aggression every time you lapse into sadness to extricate yourself from sadness, not by lashing out at others but by secluding yourself and focusing on that sad emotion in your mind to drive it out.
Unless you are a saint, you must apply force, aggression to stop yourself in the midst of your anger to immediately banish the anger such that with each occasion anger arises, you banish it faster until it ceases to arise.

Uninstructed ordinary people experience sadness of all grades in their daily lives that they do eventually manage to shrug off, but usually after a prolonged struggle and in a haphazard or uncertain manner. The reason (apart from their acting generating constant insoluble conflict that leads to despair and then sadness) is that ordinary people have a masochistic fascination with sadness, they think sadness is quite a harmless indulgence, if it is not too intense it can even be masochistically pleasurable when instead sadness is like alcohol, every moment you permit yourself to be detained by sadness, the more intense the sadness you feel, you are reinforcing your future capacity to experience sadness and the wise person will learn to spurn sadness as he would spurn the embrace of Dracula. Hence, when ordinary people are overcome by sadness, they prolong it, they stoke sadness with thoughts, music that enhance the sadness, they think over and over thoughts that maintain their sadness until it becomes unbearable and they then aggressively try to extricate themselves eg go to the gym or call a friend for a chat. In contradistinction, the noble person sees sadness as a viper and he does not welcome sadness in his mind and as soon s he detects sadness seeping in, he gives priority to get rid of it as soon as possible by excusing himself to meditate to calm his mind. He does not entertain thoughts that stoke his sadness.

Similarly when hatred, restlessness, conflict, jealousy, pretense, pride, fear, dazes, stretched syllables, etc arises in you, you must immediately apply force, aggression to drive them out until in future they become extinct.

This is what the Buddha called effacement, forcefully wiping off defilements in your mind until they disappear.

YOU COULD SAY THAT AFTER 1977 AND IN RECENT YEARS, I WAS PERSISTENTLY APPLYING FORCE IN A DISCRIMINATING NOT INDISCRIMINATE WAY TO EFFACE MYSELF, TO FORCEFULLY GET RID OF DEFILEMENTS, GETTING RID OF TORMENTING EMOTIONS UNTIL TODAY, I AM EFFORTLESSLY RID OF DEFILEMENTS, RID OF SUFFERING, SELDOM NEEDING TO APPLY FORCE TO STAY HAPPY AND CLEARLY THINKING.
JUST AS THE MORE TIMES, THE LONGER EACH TIME AND THE MORE FERVOR WITH WHICH YOU PLAY TENNIS, THE BETTER AND MORE RAPIDLY BETTER YOU GET AT PLAYING TENNIS, SIMILARLY THE MORE FREQUENT, THE LONGER AND MORE INTENSE YOU EXPERIENCE DEFILEMENTS (EG ANGER), THE MORE INTENSE & EASIER AROUSED WILL YOUR ANGER BE; THE MORE FREQUENT & MORE FORCEFUL YOU EFFACE YOUR ANGER THE MORE RAPID ANGER DISAPPEARS IN YOU. IT IS BECAUSE ORDINARY PEOPLE HAVE PRACTICED ANGER FOR SO LONG WITH SO MUCH INDULGENCE THAT THEY NOW NO LONGER HAVE TO FORCE THEMSELVES TO GET ANGRY BUT ANGER IS EXPLOSIVELY AROUSED IN THEM INTENSELY HELPLESSLY WHENEVER THEY ARE PROVOKED TO BE ANGRY. IF THEY DO NOT ELIMINATE ANGER BUT FOOLISHLY TRY TO CONTROL IT, THEIR ANGER WILL ONE DAY KILL THEM OR THEY WILL GO TO HELL.
EVERY MOMENT SPENT IN AND THE MORE INTENSE ONE FEELS ANGER, SADNESS, RESTLESSNESS, FEAR, GREED, LUST, PRIDE IS EVERY MOMENT’S REINFORCEMENT OF THEM, HENCE THE WISE PERSON WILL LEARN TO BE ALERT TO RECOGNIZE THEM AND GET RID OF THEM, REPLACE THEM WITH CALM CLARITY OF MIND UNTIL THIS IS A PERMANENT CONDITION, EVEN WHEN TALKING TO A PROVOCATIVE PERSON.

Setting Herself Up For Mind Bending Torment:

What she is doing, arcing her legs almost into an extreme overstretched U whilst jumping with stretched arms in an Olympic gymnastic routine, few people will be able to emulate. If they did, it would not be pleasurable but painful and if you are not careful, you can seriously injure yourself in the process. However, anyone who is willing to subject themselves to painful, arduous, repetitive practice under a coach will be able in time produce a reasonable facsimile of her act at a price: though you might derive some emotional satisfaction impressing others with your prowess, the mind and body warping tormenting force that MUST accompany this routine will be indelibly etched in your psyche.
She must have practiced to perfection this routine above, reflecting her grim determination to punish herself for material gains (always an act because it is forceful, exaggerated in force, range of movement and harms self) and now, because it is the ‘real thing’ the Olympics, she is pushing herself to the limits of forceful, contorting body and mental punishment. Jesus said what is exalted by men (as above) is an abomination in the sight of God. It is painful self-mortification and obscene to me.
Anyone who does what she is doing will be under intense body and mental contortions, warped and stressed to the limit, any mistake could result in grievous injury eg fall or tear muscles.
What she does not realize is that she has already bonded herself to future torment, a heavy price for material gains. There are strong mad forces in her mind that will subject herself and others to the severe punishment she is meting out to herself above. It is her force of self preservation that keeps her in control of her violent going herself at the moment. When this force of self preservation is breached either in situational crises or in old age, she will be driven relentlessly by brutal self punishing forces.
She does not push herself to these extremes usually. In the same way, many actors do not realize they harbor very potent, violent forces of going against themselves that are normally never fully manifest but has the potential when out of control to seize them in ‘unbelievable’ torment. In other words, ordinary people do not realize that as a result of lifelong acting that sometimes were passionate (they had expressed violent rages before), their engines of rage in the mind is like a Ferrari engine, usually only ticking over and lulling them to think it is a pussy cat when they have a ferocious tiger of rage in them that will one day tear themselves and others to bits. The fool tries to cohabit with his anger like keeping a viper in his house; the wise person learns to get rid of the viper of anger by stopping acting that generates rage and attentively forcefully erase anger every time it rises.

Bush Exposing Himself Again:
Quote: "I'm confident that over time this will work - I certainly hope it does," Bush said of the ongoing diplomacy with the Iran & N Korea to control nuclear weapons.
Comment: When you say you are confident, you are saying you are quite sure and to qualify that in the next breath that you certainly hope is contradicting yourself because if you are confident, you do not need to certainly (definitely) hope; on the other hand, if you are not quite confident then you certainly (definitely) hope it works. The actor’s mentality and that of his like-minded audience is to be impressed by form rather than substance, how it is said rather than what is said. He and the audience get so carried away to be impressed with the form of what is said because it is emphatic (‘confident’ qualified by ‘certainly hope’ are impressive) when logical analysis indicates it is impressive nonsense and contradictory. It is, to imitate current lingo, good for ‘sound bites’ but bad for truth.

Has anybody any right to tell others (at risk of misleading them and therefore lying) that he is confident instead of just hopeful regarding matters not entirely in their control, dependent on the whims of opponents eg nuclear disarmament? Or is his real message to trust him as a competent leader?

The Devil Does His Work On Idle Hands:
In the past everyone’s hands were tied up with oppressive stress to take issue with others but today, ‘paradoxically’ with the lessening of pervasive stress in everyone to a degree dependent on how aggressively he still acts (act more suffer more, act little suffer little, act no more suffer no more), their hands are freer to do mischief or destructive violence that previously their constrained hands prevented.
Because everyone today has changed again compared to say 5 years ago, they are more subdued, less rabidly acting, smile less, they have experienced a appreciable reduction of stress, but because they continue to act, they still have great internal capacity for violence or aggression or emotions which is why, when provoked, they may blow their top more easily than in the past to vent it unrestrained. Further, with present consciousness change, they are likely to be able to see the provocations of others more clearly and thus feeling justified, they retaliate violently at their tormentors whilst disregarding their own follies.
Everyone, including the most evil ones has changed and the foolish may be lulled to think they have now changed for the good when they are still tough goats. Remember the Buddha said you must be tamed not wild; you must balance a pot brimful of oil between a milling crowd and a singing beauty queen and if you spill just a drop, your head will be cut off right there. In the same vein Jesus those who will save their lives must carry their crosses and go with him. Can you be carrying your cross and going if you are attached to your parents, children, friends, your likes and dislikes and favorite beliefs? Kid yourself and you may be consigning yourself in delusion to the rubbish heap of eternity. Going to heaven may be as simple as letting your yes be yes only but to one discerning, few can truly let their yes be yes only but they must always do or say more, smile and stretch their syllables to impress others. Many people do not realize they are emotionally and exquisitely nice, not good and niceness is poisonous for one who sees.

Where Do The Hordes Come From?
The Buddha said that we have been transmigrating, not only for this age that is coming to a close but for many eons such that there is hardly anyone who has not been your father, mother, sibling or children. Jesus said not a dot will pass from the law, which indicates that everything however minute is significant and if you consider when a fish spawns there are millions of eggs and each hatching is its offspring and siblings to each other, then what the Buddha said that hardly anyone exists who has not been a father or mother to you.
There are more than 6 billions humans on earth now. Since the Buddha said we have all be transmigrating for many eons, these new humans are unlikely to be newly created souls, are unlikely to have come from heaven but they are likely to be reborn from the animal, ghost and hell realms and beings being intransigent, it explains why the vast majority of beings living today are recalcitrant, hell bent on acting and returning to the furnace of torment.
