Note 5 went dead and I thought it was a battery problem but Samsung technician
said motherboard needs replacement and the cost was more than a $1000. I
declined and paid the consultant fee of $60.

5 motherboards are available from China at $599, maybe less online and so
Samsung’s costs must be significantly less than $600.

is actually very simple to open up, remove and replace a motherboard, there are
videos on youtube teaching you that and so Samsung is charging more than $500
