It is when the person becomes agitated (an emotion) that he suffers.

Calm is noble and high:

There is even an infinitesimal scale of calm which is always noble, not calm is not noble. Upon enlightenment the Buddha reached the highest noble calm that surpasses even God’s.

WHOEVER IS CALM IS HIGH AND THERE IS EVEN AN INFINITESIMAL SCALE OF CALM WITH THE BUDDHA ATTAINING THE HIGHEST NOBLE CALM SURPASSING EVEN GOD’S UPON ENLGHTENMENT.

The Buddha: "'A person has four determinations. The determination for discernment, the determination for truth, the determination for relinquishment, the determination for calm.

"Whereas formerly he foolishly had greed -- as well as desire & infatuation -- he has now abandoned them, their root destroyed like an uprooted palm tree, deprived of the conditions of development, not destined for future arising. Whereas formerly he foolishly had malice -- as well as ill-will & hatred -- he has now abandoned them...Whereas formerly he foolishly had ignorance -- as well as delusion & confusion -- he has now abandoned them, their root destroyed like an uprooted palm tree, deprived of the conditions of development, not destined for future arising. Thus a monk so endowed is endowed with the highest determination for calm, for this -- the calming of passions, aversions, & delusions -- is the highest noble calm. 'One should not be negligent of discernment, should guard the truth, be devoted to relinquishment, and train only for calm.' Thus it was said, and in reference to this was it said.

"'He has been stilled (calmed) where the currents of construing (fabricating) do not flow. And when the currents of construing do not flow, he is said to be a sage at peace.' 'I shall not be'...'I shall be possessed of form'...'I shall not be possessed of form'...'I shall be percipient'...'I shall not be percipient'...'I shall be neither percipient nor non-percipient' is a construing. PRESENTLY THE WORLD IS PLAYING CAT AND MOUSE WITH THE VIRUS, UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO MAINTAIN LOCKDOWN INDEFINITELY THE VIRUS WILL FLARE UP AGAIN BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE ARE NOT IMMUNE. WHEN MOST ARE IMMUNE COVID 19 WILL BECOME SPORADIC OUTBREAKS.

Construing is an action and always false and wrong:

(The Buddha cannot be a fake because no one else, not even one human philosopher let alone ordinary men can say what he says below that is not nonsensical but can be understood as correct. People in this world do not see, they ‘see as’, they interpret and that is lapsing into falsity, suffering and danger)

Construing is an action, seeing as, interpreting as that is false, conditioned, based on memory or habit and it is work and suffering, suffering now and the way to endless future suffering and deaths.

Those who are wise have stopped construing, stop interpreting things, stop seeing as and they do not suffer now and forever.

The Buddha:

"'He has been stilled (calmed) where the currents of construing (fabricating, interpreting, seeing as) do not flow. And when the currents of construing do not flow, he is said to be a sage at peace.' 'I am' is a construing (fabricating, interpreting, seeing as). 'I am this' is a construing (fabricating, interpreting, seeing as). 'I shall be' is a construing. 'I shall not be'...'I shall be possessed of form'...'I shall not be possessed of form'...'I shall be percipient'...'I shall not be percipient'...'I shall be neither percipient nor non-percipient' is a construing. Construing (fabrication) is a disease, construing is a cancer, construing is an arrow. By going beyond all construing, he is called a sage at peace.

"Furthermore, a sage at peace is not born, does not age, does not die, is unagitated, and is free from longing. He has nothing whereby he would be born. Not being born, will he age? Not aging, will he die? Not dying, will he be agitated? Not being agitated, for what will he long? It was in reference to this that it was said, 'He has been stilled where the currents of construing do not flow. And when the currents of construing do not flow, he is said to be a sage at peace.' Now, monk, you should remember this, my brief analysis of the six properties."

THE WISE PERSON THUS UNDERSTANDING WILL RENOUNCE HIMSELF, DESTROY HIS STYLE THAT PERSECUTES HIMSELF AS WELL AS OTHERS, DISSOCIATE HIMSELF WITH THIS WORLD AND HEAD FOR HEAVEN THERE TO UNBIND HIMSELF.

YOUR ACTIONS BOND YOURSELF TO THIS WORLD AND SUFFERING AND DEATH AND IT IS BY UNBINDING YOURSELF THAT YOU EXIT ENDLESS DEBTS, ENDLESS SUFFERING AND DEATHS.
