Activities, Consciousness & Mental Forces:
THE MIND MAY BE MADE UP OF ONLY THREE THINGS: ACTIVITIES OR FABRICATIONS, CONSCIOUSNESS THAT THE BUDDHA SAYS COMES FROM FABRICATING AND TWO MENTAL FORCES.
MENTAL ACTIVITIES OR FABRICATONS ARE PERCEIVING THROUGH THE 5 SENSES, THINKING, INITIATING SPEECH AND MOVEMENTS.
CONSCIOUSNESS IS NOT AN ACTIVITY BUT IT IS LIKE A LAMP THAT ILLUMINATES AND DIRECTS ACTIVITIES OR FABRICATIONS WHENEVER HE IS CONSCIOUS. CONSCIOUSNESS HAS MEMORY, THE ABILITY TO EXPERIENCE VISUAL, AUDITORY, TACTILE, OLFACTORY AND GUSTATORY PERCEPTIONS, FEELINGS THAT PASSIVE THAT ARISE FROM SENSORY CONTACT, EXPERIENCE FORCEFUL EMOTIONS TOGETHER WITH THE STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION THAT RESULT FROM THE IMPACT BY THE MENTAL FORCES.
THERE ARE TWO RESIDENT MENTAL FORCES THAT AUTOMATICALLY OPPOSE EACH OTHER; THE FREQUENTLY ASCENDANT FORCE OF GOING AGAINST SELF TO ACT IN PERCEPTION, THINKING, SPEECH AND MOTION TO DECEIVE, PLEASE, IMPRESS, INTIMIDATE AND DOMINATE OTHERS THAT IS THE FATHER OF ALL HIS EMOTIONS (FEAR, ANGER, SADNESS, EXCITEMENT, PRIDE & SHAME) AND HIS LESS FREQUENTLY ASCENDANT FORCE OF SELF PRESERVATION.
The Buddha said he has given up all self for the final liberation of his mind. He said that whatever is construed as self is false, impermanent, unsatisfactory, suffering or restrictive not wonderful as it is made up to be and all is not self.
See the world together with its deities,conceiving not-self (their bodies, fabrications, consciousness and emotions are not self) to be self.
Entrenched in name & form,they conceive that 'This is true.'
In whatever terms they conceive it
it turns into something other than that (people may fantasize that they will be happy after they are married, are rich or become a doctor, they will slog now but enjoy themselves when they retire but when they achieve them they find it is far from a bed of roses),
and that's what's false about it:
changing, it's deceptive by nature.
Undeceptive by nature is Unbinding:
that the noble ones know as true.T
hey, through breaking through to the truth,free from hunger (emotional or forceful desire), are totally unbound.
Fabricating:
Fabricating is concocting or fermenting and refers to all the activities that a mind can undertake namely perceiving (seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and touching), thinking, (conducting his) speaking and bodily movements (passing urine too is a movement, people never passively pass their urine, they never even just forcefully pass but they routinely pass with accelerating force and speed urgently).
All activities are unconscious or without consciousness by themselves and consciousness, which is not an activity but is like a lamp that illuminates or observes and directs the activities of the mind. Thus as the Buddha said; with fabricating as a requisite comes consciousness to illuminate, observe and direct those fabrications.
Only activity that is singular substance only can be rendered live for a specific occasion. Fabrications that are a compound of simultaneous substance and style (fabricated fabricating) cannot be rendered live but they must be prefabricated and stored in memory to be retrieved for playback as if live on occasions that are deemed appropriate. Because consciousness can only attend to one subject at a time it is either absent in substance and style activities or it is forced to alternate between the substance and the style of the activity. Consciousness can also be absent in substance only live activity, but only substance only activities permit consciousness to attend undivided throughout.
Thinking is one of the activities the mind is capable of and in the usual mode they mentally talk to or argue with themselves in the same stretched syllable, constantly changing speed and loudness way with which they speak. People also sometimes think visually. When you fantasize about going to some place you are thinking visually. When they try to work out what a situation means, they are merely retrieving from memory the possibilities the situation can mean, often presumptuously (unjustified conclusions).
BEINGS IN THIS WORLD INCLUDING ANIMALS NEVER FABRICATE LIVE FOR EACH OCCASION BUT THEY ALWAYS FABRICATE IN A FABRICATED WAY WITH A COMBO OF SUBSTANCE AND STYLE FROM MEMORY TO BE DISHED OUT AS IF LIVE AND THIS IS VERY STRESSFUL, RESTLESS AND DIVIDES THE ATTENTION.
Consciousness:
All activities of the mind are without consciousness just as the activities of a HiFi system, computer, TV or robot is without consciousness except for someone with consciousness to make decisions, start and stop it.
Consciousness is not an activity but it is like a lamp of constant brightness that is required to illuminate and direct activity or fabricating.
Consciousness is like a torch with a constant brightness that depends on the level of stress, restlessness and distraction that impacts on it but under extraordinary circumstances as happened with consciousness changes of recent years, its brightness may increase if there are reduction in the level of stress, restlessness and distraction that occlude it.
Consciousness may be further differentiated into specialized visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory and gustatory components.
Consciousness can only attend to one subject at the time although it may give the false impression that it can attend a few subjects at one time because it can switch subjects very rapidly.
Just as a camera’s focus can vary from very sharp to very blur, consciousness too has a focus whose sharpness can vary from sharp to very blur depending on the strength of force applied and duration. A daze occurs when the blurriness is severe and captive to strong force.
Memory:
MEMORY IS THE VITAL GLUE THAT STICKS TOGETHER A BEING’S DISPARATE PARTS LIKE HIS FABRICATIONS, HIS CONSCIOUSNESS, FEELINGS, EMOTIONS, HIS EXPERIENCES AND POSSESSIONS (INCLUDING HIS BODY) INTO AN ILLUSION OF A STABLE AND DISTINCT PERSON. A SELF IS ESSENTIALLY A MEMORY OF THINGS INVOLVING OR THAT HAVE HAPPENED TO A PARTICULAR CONSCIOUSNESS POINT.
Just as a film is a very long fixed sequence of frames that when replayed, recalls a story of what happened visually in the past, memory is basically the retention of or storage in the being’s consciousness and thence recall of a very long fixed sequence of frames of what happened visually, aurally, tactilely, olfactorily and gustatorily in the past.
Just as consciousness has the capacity to experience visual or aural frames of what is currently happening, it is also the capacity of consciousness to create virtually (as in dreams) and retain for recall these sequential frames of what happened that may not be a haphazard, partial and fading active process residing in the biochemical activities of the brain but memory in all beings is not dependent on intelligence, does not require energy consuming unreliable forceful imprinting but it is a precise, total and permanent or indelible passive process that embraces not just all of what happened in this life but in all past lives as well.
It is an illusion rather than real that memory is forceful (active), partial, inconsistent and fading partly because the person’s consciousness is laboring under intense forcefulness, stress, restlessness and distraction, partly because the actor willfully, forcefully recollects certain memories and forcefully represses or pretends he does not remember certain things so well that he now believes they never existed.
Remembering is the act of seeing in the past as seeing is the act of visually perceiving in the present.
Just as seeing a scene in the present is a fabrication, an activity of the mind that has substance (the actor only wants to see certain things and refuse to see other things in a scene) and style (the forceful stretching, changes in speed and forcefulness, rapid blinking or darting movements of seeing), remembering scenes from the past that is truth a passive complete library is a fabrication, an activity of the mind that has substance (the actor only wants to remember certain things and not others, he may even fabricate what has happened) and style (lingering or stretching, changes in speed, strength of force and unnecessary jumping about). Thus there is remembering as a fabrication or activity of the mind and memory as the objective complete library of what happened in the past that although there and available, is selectively emotionally accessed by the act of remembering.
THUS THERE IS REMEMBERING AS AN ACT OR ACTIVITY OF THE MIND OF SEEING SELECTIVELY INTO THE LIBRARY OF THE PAST AND EVEN FABRICATING WHAT DID NOT HAPPEN AND THERE IS INFALLIBLE, TOTAL PASSIVE MEMORY AS A PROPERTY OF CONSCIOUSNESS JUST AS VISION, SOUND, FEELING, EXPERIENCING EMOTIONS, STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION ARE PROPERTIES OR ABILITIES OF THE CONSCIOUSNESS.
A large part if not the entirety of this wondrous thing people call their logic that is superior to others is nothing more than memory. For instance confronted with a physical or mental situation, based on memory of the possibilities the person makes conclusions that may be presumptions, unwarranted about what it may be. The reason why people cannot see stretching, constant changes in speed and loudness that are present in their speech and actions is because they have no memory of seeing them before and reflecting how dumb they are, they still cannot see after they have been demonstrated how they do even when it is the only key to exit from stress, restlessness and distraction.
When my mother became senile, many things that she held dearly in the past, things that she identified strongly with became meaningless. For instance I can tell her today is Chinese New Year or her birthday and she would be unconcerned as if she does not know what you are talking about where in the past those occasions were full of meaning and important. With the loss of memory, something people believe in delusion will never happen to them (it only happens to others) all that she held dear in the past became meaningless. Therefore people may seriously underestimate the glue like role that memory plays in maintaining their false selves and how the selves that they now hold so real and dear will crumble like a sand castle should their memory fail.
Possessiveness is not an entity like consciousness or fabrications but it is a characteristic of beings on earth, is linked to selfishness, jealousy, covetousness, envy and is crucial to the maintenance of an illusion of a self. Possessiveness is irrational, an emotion that has strength that is tied to the strength of the force of going against self in that person. Different people are possessive of different things. eg his car, his wife or children, his body through a process of mindless emotional conditioning. Possessiveness is never the pleasure it is made up to be by those afflicted (people brag about their possessions eg cars, Rolex watches to incite envy and jealousy in others) but it is irrational or emotional, stressful, restless, distracting and must be constantly subject to control but will inexorably increase in strength and ease of arousal to end in loss of control and insanity.
It is fruitless to attempt to eliminate possessiveness without eliminating mental force that is the drive behind it. By killing mental force through a process of effacement by ceasing the practice of constant forceful stretching of syllables, changes in speed and loudness possessiveness will disappear like mist with dawn. Apart from mental force, possessiveness is heavily dependent on memory for survival. Without emotional selective memory of who you are and what your precious possessions are, you cannot be possessive.
Feelings:
Feeling is a capability of consciousness just as consciousness can appreciate visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory and gustatory input.
This follows from what the Buddha said that from consciousness as a requisite come sequentially sense objects, sensory media, contact and feeling.
You can pinch or prick or cut (as in an operation) an unconscious person and he will not feel anything. Therefore consciousness is a requisite for feeling, there can be no feeling without consciousness and feeling is a capability directly or indirectly of consciousness.
Feelings are passive sensations that need no effort or energy consumption and can only be pleasant, unpleasant or neutral that arises immediately with contact and ceases immediately when contact ceases.
Reflecting the perversion of ordinary people, immediately, reflexively they feel something pleasant, they forcefully pursue it, try to extract as much pleasure as they can from what they feel be it the taste of the food or the sex that they ‘enjoy’. As they add ever more force or emotion to their feeling, they feel they are missing something and feel that their enjoyment increases the more force they add until they kill themselves or the victims of their ‘pleasure’ eg they strangle or choke their partners to death because of the perverted emotional pleasure of seeing her suffer. There may be only a certain amount of pleasure that can be derived from any contact in this world and to add force to the experience merely degrades it in a never ending escalation that will end in agony.
Stress, Restlessness & Distraction:
Just as consciousness is capable of passive feeling with contact to objects through the sensory media, consciousness is also capable of experiencing stress and distraction (inability to focus) that builds up on contact with (mental) FORCE, is capable of experiencing restlessness that builds up on contact with constant forceful changing.
Passive feelings that can only be pleasant, unpleasant or neutral are due to the contact with OBJECTS through the sensory media by consciousness.
Stress, restlessness and distraction are forceful sensations or lasting or lingering states of the consciousness that have strength and duration caused by contact with (mental) FORCE both directly and indirectly through sensations of muscular tension and bodily reactions (eg sweating, palpitation & tremors).
Stress is the painful sensation that consciousness experiences directly as a result of the application of mental force on it and indirectly through bodily effects like muscle tension that has strength, ease of arousal and lingering after the passing of the application of force depending on the strength of mental force applied, duration and frequency of exposure. Stress has memory in that the force applied warps that mind progressively so that with continued unabated exposure, stress becomes permanent, can flare up rapidly to even minor provocations and linger at sustained levels for a long time afterwards.
When someone gets angry, fearful or sad he automatically applies force on his consciousness (and others at the receiving end) that creates the unpleasant sensation of stress that is separate from the emotion generating it that then leads when unresolved to restlessness and distraction.
Restlessness is the unpleasant sensation that consciousness experiences as a result of the application of force on the consciousness that is constantly changing in strength either directly or indirectly through speed and direction changes in the fabrications.
Distraction is the unpleasant sensation that consciousness experiences as a result of the application of mental force to frequently unnecessarily switch focus.
Just as a camera can be sharply in focus or become blur that has grades of severity, in the same way, the consciousness under the influence of force can become increasingly blur or out of focus, it may be maintained in blurriness or distraction by mild force that is relatively easy to dissipate or by intense force that is difficult to dissipate. There is no such thing as a person who enjoys his distraction anymore than there is a person who enjoys blurred vision.
(The reason you can use blurred vision as an analogy for distraction is because visual consciousness is an offspring of consciousness and what applies to visual consciousness applies to its parent, consciousness itself. Similarly stress & restlessness which are cousins of distraction or blurred consciousness are conditions that consciousness can experience and dictate the state of a person’s consciousness)
The natural woe free condition of consciousness is to be passively effortlessly focused or concentrated to see and understand things clearly as they are and the result of the application of force is to distort consciousness and make it unfocussed that when prolonged becomes incapable of being focused. You need a passively focused mind to see clearly, understand and think logically and because actors’ are permanently unfocused to greater or lesser extent, they are unable to understand or see (eg that there are constant stretching, changes in speed and loudness in their speech).
It is a myth that stress, restlessness and distraction are intermittent afflictions of the minds of beings in this world but the occasions when they are aware they are stressed, restless and distracted represent occasions when these entities have become too severe to ignore. The natural tendency of beings is to control and suppress their stress to enable them to carry on acting and it is only when stress, restlessness and distraction are too intense that they become aware.
The reason why stress, restlessness and distraction are constant states of their minds is because the motion and speech of all ordinary people have discernible forceful constant stretching, changes in speed and strength of force, constant substance and style, they are constantly applying force on their minds, constant applying changing force on their minds and constantly forcefully dividing their attention and must therefore constantly experience stress, restlessness and distraction.
WHY IT IS SO DIFFICULT TO EXIT STRESS, RESTLESSNESS & DISTRACTION:
EVERYWHERE I CAST MY EYES AND EARS EVEN TODAY I SEE PEOPLE, EVEN THOSE WHO CALL THEMSELVES GOOD AND SMART, SPEAKING AND BEHAVING WITH APPRECIABLE CONSTANT FORCEFUL STRETCHING, CHANGES IN SPEED AND STRENGTH OF FORCE THAT DENOTE THAT THEY ARE CONSTANTLY APPLYING FORCE AND FORCEFUL CHANGES ON THEIR MINDS AND MUST THEREFORE CONSTANTLY EXPERIENCE STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION.
THE REASONS WHY STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION ARE SO DIFFICULT TO EXIT ARE:
A) FORCEFUL STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION LINGER UNLIKE PASSIVE FEELINGS THAT STOP IMMEDIATELY WITH LOSS OF CONTACT. EVEN IF YOU STOP GENERATING STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION FOR A MOMENT IT WILL TAKE QUITE A WHILE FOR STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION THAT WERE PREVIOUSLY CREATED TO FINALLY DISAPPEAR. BECAUSE EVEN WHEN THEY ARE ALONE, EVEN DURING MEDITATION OR SECLUSION THEY STILL THINK AND PERCEIVE FORCEFULLY WITH FORCEFUL CHANGING THAT RETAIN THEM IN STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION. THUS EVEN IF YOU SECLUDE YOURSELF AND MEDITATE, YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT TO WAIT FOR STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION THAT IS ALREADY PRESENT TO DISSIPATE, ASSUMING YOU DO NOT STILL THINK FORCEFULLY WITH CONSTANT SPEED AND STRENGTH OF FORCE CHANGES. PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE TO MEDITATE BECAUSE OF AVERSION, THEIR RESTLESSNESS DOES NOT PERMIT, THEY DO NOT MEDITATE LONG ENOUGH TO EXPERIENCE THE FRUITS OR THEY CAN’T EXPERIENCE THE FRUITS BECAUSE THEY STILL THINK FORCEFULLY DURING MEDITATION.
B) STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION RAPIDLY SEIZES THE MIND AND DRIVES IT HELPLESSLY TO BEHAVE WITH CONSTANT FORCEFUL CHANGES IN SPEED AND STRENGTH OF FORCE THAT PERPETUATES THAT STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION IN A VICIOUS POSITIVE FEEDBACK CYCLE THAT NOT ONLY ESCALATES IN INTENSITY BUT HAS MEMORY SO THAT FREQUENT EXPERIENCE TO INTENSE LEVELS LEAD TO STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION THAT CAN BE EASILY TRIGGERED TO RISE RAPIDLY TO INTENSE LEVELS THAT ARE HARD TO SHAKE OFF.
C) THERE IS TREMENDOUS FORCE OF HABIT FOR ACTORS TO AUTOMATICALLY REVERT TO THEIR USUAL WAYS OF SPEAKING AND BEHAVING THAT HAVE FORCEFULNESS AND CONSTANT CHANGES THAT CREATES STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION.
D) ORDINARY PEOPLE ARE INSENSITIVE. EVEN AFTER IT HAS BEEN DEMONSTRATED TO THEM PERSONALLY BY ME (SOME GET ANGRY IF I POINT OUT HOW THEY STRETCH THEIR SYLLABLES, CHANGE SPEED), THEY CANNOT SEE THAT THERE ARE STRETCHING, CHANGES IN SPEED AND LOUDNESS EVEN WHEN THEY SPEAK SOFTLY AND SLOWLY. IF YOU CANNOT SEE THAT YOU ARE CONSTANTLY STRETCHING SYLLABLES, CONSTANTLY CHANGING SPEED AND LOUDNESS, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO PUT A STOP TO THEM AND IF YOU CANNOT PUT A STOP TO THEM, YOU ARE CONSTANTLY APPLYING FORCE ON YOUR MIND, APPLYING FORCEFUL CHANGES SO HOW CAN YOU EXIT STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION?
IF YOU DO NOT QUIT STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION WHEN IT IS POSSIBLE, YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH FUTURE MAD STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION AND EVEN ETERNAL PUNISHMENT BECAUSE YOU ALSO INCITE OTHERS TO BE STRESSED, RESTLESS AND DISTRACTED.
IN ORDER TO QUIT (NOT CONTROL) STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION YOU MUST STOP CREATING THEM WHILST PATIENTLY ALLOWING STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION THAT IS ALREADY PRESENT TO DISSIPATE BY SECLUDING YOURSELF & MEDITATING. YOU MUST MINDFULLY IDENTIFY ALL FORCEFUL STRETCHING, FORCEFUL CHANGES IN SPEED AND LOUDNESS SO AS NOT TO RENEW STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION.
Mental Force:
There are two constant never intermittent forces in the minds of beings in this world that are of considerable maximal strength.
There is the force of going against self to act to deceive, please, impress, intimidate and dominate others that must be countered by another strong force of self preservation to automatically resist or control acts of going against self and pull him back from the brink of disaster if he gets carried away.
From the existence of the force of going against self comes the force of self preservation and constant forceful conflict and disturbing of the mind. With the cessation of the force of going against self is the cessation of the force of self preservation and true effortless peace of mind.
Emotions like fear, anger, hate, sensual love, excitement, envy, jealousy, pride, shame and sadness are nothing more than mental force dressed up in fancy clothes for the occasion and they all vanish if mental force vanishes.
Like a hypothetical snake with a head at each end, the head that is the force of self preservation will pull in the opposite direction to head that is the force of going against self and it is only when the net balance of force is in favor of the force of going against self does an act of going against self occur. At any moment the force of self preservation may become ascendant to arrest the act of going against self. Although the force of self preservation always opposes the force of self preservation, beings never mobilize this force to attack the force of going against self in a fight to the death when this possible.
For instance for someone to steal (an act of going against self in the name of unrighteous gain that can harm oneself because one can be punished) he must overcome his automatic resistance (risk of punishment and stealing is always stressful done surreptitiously, you must hide what you stole). If the force of going against self is ascendant he proceeds to steal dragging the protesting force of self preservation along. If his force of self preservation prevails (he thinks it is too risky or not worth his trouble), he desists.
No matter how a person might deny or cannot see he is going against himself, so long as he is stretching syllables, changing speed and loudness and they create stress, restlessness and distraction he must generate self resistance that will tend to put a stop to it after some time and it is the constant dingdong battle between the force of going against self to smile, stretch syllables, change speed and loudness and the force of self preservation to stop that is the source of the emotional conflict and disturbance that roils all actors’ minds.
A Revised Explanation Of Dependent Co Arising:
The Buddha said:
From ignorance as a requisite condition come fabrications.
From fabrications (activities of the mind) comes consciousness (consciousness is not an activity but a torch to illuminate those activities and act as director).
From consciousness comes name-and-form (Consciousness permits objects to exist).
From name-and-form come the six sense media (that are necessary to permit interaction with objects).
From the six sense media comes contact.
From contact comes feeling (sensations of pleasant, unpleasant or neither that starts & stop with contact).
From feeling comes craving (emotional or forceful like).
From craving comes clinging/sustenance (memory together with possessiveness is the instrument that allows clinging and sustenance that is always forceful).
From clinging/sustenance comes becoming (changing).
From becoming comes birth (to enable you to start a process of becoming).
From birth, then old age and death, sorrow, lamentation, pain, distress and despair come into play.
Such is the origination of this entire mass of stress and suffering.

Because there is existence before birth and after death, birth and death are not absolute beginning and ending points but mere transitions between sequences of existences.
Just as no man who has woken up to calm peacefulness from a terrible nightmare that he struggled so hard to awake from will allow himself to return to that nightmare, just as no man refused to change when the consciousness changes after 1977 and in recent years swept by because the change conferred reduced suffering, no man who is enlightened will return to existence as a false separate being.
As the Buddha said, whatever is changing is false and stressful, unbinding that is unchanging is true and ultimate release from stress. Fabricating is activity and changing and therefore false and stressful.
Fabricating are activities of the mind and they comprise perceiving, thinking, speaking and conducting movements.
All activities are intrinsically without consciousness, are apart from consciousness which arise like a lamp to illuminate those fabrications and direct them.
Just as there is no consciousness in an Hi Fi system or computer or TV when they function but consciousness is only needed and present separately in the form of someone to start and stop it, in the same way there is never any consciousness in any of the activities of the mind and consciousness is something separate that is necessary as a result of the presence of fabricating.
According to the Buddha, not to fabricate or unbinding is the incomparable release from suffering.
Beings in this world never just fabricate live specifically for each occasion but they always fabricate in a standardized or ‘faked live’ way with a style that can be described as a constant forceful stretching, changes in speed and strength of force from mental jukeboxes that is incomparably more stressful, restless and distracting as compared to fabricating live with a singular substance only.
Even when you fabricate live without style for an occasion, consciousness which is independent may or may not be present but if you are fabricating with a simultaneous substance and style combo, consciousness may be totally absent or it must alternate between the substance and style.
Fabricating in perceiving, thinking, speaking and moving whether live substance only or compound substance and style from a jukebox is always unconscious, does not require consciousness and consciousness comes about as the Buddha said as a result of fabricating to observe (illuminate) and direct fabricating (when to start and stop). With the coming of consciousness objects can exist because consciousness permits one to perceive objects. With the coming of objects, sensory media come to being because you need ways to interact with the objects that have come to be. With the coming to being of the sensory media contact is made and with contact comes passive feelings of pleasant, unpleasant or neither. With the coming of feelings come forceful emotional craving. With craving comes clinging and sustenance or maintenance that leads to becoming thence birth and death.
How New Acts Are Learnt:
I have seen on a BBC video an Australian bird that can instantly imitate with uncanny realism a new sound eg an idling vehicle engine or a whirling electric razor. This ability is by no means unique.
What the bird is doing is instantly learning a new act with great accuracy and rather than unique, the underlying mechanism may be an extreme version of the same process involved in all learning of new acts.
This bird may be behaving like a Hi Fi recording system with a microphone that can capture into tape any ambient sound and use that tape to feed the amplifier to reproduce the faithfully recorded sound through speakers.
Humans and animals can remember with great accuracy the motions and sounds that constitute the act they want to learn and the mental copy of the sights and sounds of the new act can be used in a process that is never with consciousness (although consciousness may be present as observer and guide) to imprint in their jukeboxes the instructions for moving the body or vocal apparatus to reproduce that new act.
After hearing a particular singer sing, people can hear a virtual copy of that singing repeat in their minds. A crucial part of this memory, even though they may not realize it is so, is the mirror memory of all the forceful stretching of notes, characteristic changes in speed and loudness that is imprinted in their minds that can be utilized to record of copy of their own vocal apparatus motions necessary to reproduce that singing of the song. Just as a key cutter uses the serrations of the key as a guide to cut a copy, in the same way, the actor uses the remembered stretching, changes in speed and loudness to record a copy of the vocal apparatus movements necessary to reproduce that singing with no consciousness involved although it may be present as observer and guide.
The reason there is involuntary memory of what you heard or saw is because what you heard or saw have forceful stretching, forceful changes in speed and strength of force that can be faithful received and imprinted by your forceful mind. It is this mental imprint or recording of how someone sang or hit a golf ball that serves as the source or template for unconscious, force driven recording of that new act. Using this mental recording, you unconsciously imitate or replicate the motions and singing as far as you can, with consciousness only needed to compare the result of your imitation with the source. Just as some recorders have separate record and playback heads (and duplicate circuits) so that it is possible to listen to what you have recorded and compare it the original whilst recording, in the same way the presence of consciousness merely enables you to monitor the your new act as you are learning it.
THEREFORE PEOPLE LEARN NEW ACTS IN POSTURING, MOVING, NEW SKILLS, SPEAKING AND SINGING BY ROTE IMITATION AFTER MENTALLY IMPRINTING THE NEW ACT THEY WANT TO COPY IN THEIR MINDS AND USING THE CHARACTERISTIC FORCEFUL STRETCHING, CHANGES IN DIRECTION, SPEED AND STRENGTH OF FORCE THAT THEY CAN APPRECIATE TO MAKE A SIMILAR COPY WITH PERHAPS SOME MODIFICATIONS TO REFLECT THEIR INDIVIDUAL STYLE TO MAKE A COPY OF THE ACT THEY DESIRE TO IMITATE.
A Different Kind Of Walking without thinking: Whenever people walk (an activity or fabrication of the mind) or do something they always involuntarily think (another activity of the mind) about things that are usually totally unrelated to their walking, in other words their minds are distracted.
It is possible to walk without (involuntarily) thinking about anything at all and still be fully conscious of your walking and the relevant environment and it is not being dimwitted (because dimwitted people cannot do so even if they wanted) but it is a calm clearly seeing or perceiving (not thinking because thinking is absent) incomparable liberation from stress, restlessness and distraction that ordinary people have never known, cannot experience even if they wanted. The reason they cannot is because they are not masters of their thinking but slaves of their forceful emotional thinking that have constant stretching, changes in speed and strength of force that they cannot dispel from their minds even if they wanted and this is the reason why they cannot sleep at night. They cannot switch off their thinking where a person who thinks passively without force, who is not attached or fascinated by thinking, can.
Shooing & Lunging:
The reason why anyone would shoo a bird or cat is because the bird or cat can sense the intimidation that is conveyed by the noise and lunging movement.
The reason why the shoo and lunging movement is threatening is because the syllable is stretched with accelerated accelerating loudness and speed or pitch change and the lunge is a forward movement with acceleration in speed and strength of force.
Whenever anyone shoos and lunges forward threateningly, he is acting to intimidate and therefore acting or fabricating and it is in nature of this world that animals too can appreciate changes in force and speed to be stressed, made restless and distracted.
Just as the animal is able to appreciate the stretching, changes in speed and strength of force in your shoo and lunge and experience stress & restlessness from fear so that its consciousness is conditioned by the stress and restlessness it experienced, it too can sense the lack of stretching, lack of changes in speed and strength of force in a non actor’s behavior and appearance to experience an absence of stress and restlessness that would also condition its mind in the opposite direction to that which is usual.
And so it is that beings in this world including animals condition their own and others’ consciousness states through the stress, restlessness and distraction they create in themselves and transmit directly without need for intelligence in others as a result of their acting that have constantly added force, constant stretching, speed and strength of force changes in whatever and however they speak/vocalize or move.
The Sin & Falsity Of Telling Others To Know:
Quote Rumsfeld: "You know, I don't have the vaguest idea. But I'll tell you this: I don't worry about it."
Comment: Just as no one has the right to speak on behalf of others, if he does he is speaking falsely; in the same way no one has the right to tell others they know. How would others know you don’t have the vaguest idea? If they do not know then what you say is false. If you are forcing others to know then that is ill will that will redound on you. If you let your yes be yes only, you say “I don’t have the vaguest idea”, the ‘you know’ is the more that comes from evil.
Because not letting your yes be yes is driven by force, ordinary people are already driven by tremendous force of habit to never let their yes be yes only but say much more that comes from evil. He will condemn himself to insanity and grave suffering because he is only controlling his deceit and mad logic that ‘you know’ makes sense when it is nonsense.
Why People Are Sometimes At Loss For Words:
If anyone were to follow Rumsfeld, he is likely to notice that this not the first time he has said ‘you know’ but he has not just said it many times before but said it many times before in almost exactly the same way that boils down to the same stretching of his syllables, same changes in speed and loudness that is different from others who also habitually say ‘you know’ and the only way he can do that is because it is a rehash by memory from his mental jukebox that is even involuntary now, he cannot help himself saying ‘you know’ and in time he will become totally mad saying ‘you know’.
And it is not just in this instance that he is performing by rote from his mental jukebox rather performing live personally for the occasion at hand but always, every instance whether alone or with others, whatever and however he perceives, thinks, does and says is by blind rote from a mental jukebox as has always done it in which he or his consciousness is only present (not always) as witness or observer or admirer and guide or supervisor (disc jockey).
The reason why actors are sometimes at loss for words is not because they are thinking but because if the emotion of the moment (eg anger or conflict) is too great or he is self conscious, there is a momentary forceful block preventing access to his mental jukebox just as access to a computer’s hard disk may sometimes be denied because it is busy. Hence the fact that actors are sometimes at loss for words or deed is because emotion or mental force at that moment may be too strong to allow access to his hard disk or mental jukebox and he is vulnerable or naked when temporarily deprived of access to his jukebox.
How The Consciousness State Is Dictated By Fabrications:
Stress, restlessness and distraction cling to the mind and it takes a while before it subsides to a baseline level after a period of heightened abuse in behavior.
Because there are discernible constant forceful stretching of syllables or units of motion, constant forceful changes in speed and strength of force in the speech and motion of all ordinary people, they must be constantly experiencing stress, restlessness and distraction (even today), only the intensity varies depending on the intensity of the forcefulness and forceful changing.
Stress, restlessness and distraction are universally painful and tormenting experiences and because they are constant, their consciousness are permanently detained by stress, restlessness and distraction as a result of their constant folly and fabricated fabricating from mental jukeboxes.
Therefore fabrications dictate the constant woeful consciousness states of all beings through the stress, restlessness and distraction they create and any significant change in the fabrications, which is the basis of the consciousness changes after 1977 and in recent years will alter the consciousness state.
Not only does the speech or action of self and others impinging on one create stress, restlessness and distraction that take time to subside but they often if not always ring or repeat in the mind to renew afresh stress, restlessness and distraction that can sometimes reach unbearable intensity.
For instance, after hearing a song or what someone said hurtful with forceful stretching of syllables, changes in speed and loudness, the song or what is said with its full complement of stretching, changes in speed and loudness keep ringing virtually in the mind to create anew stress, restlessness and distraction that is as cogent as the external version and if the person does not take action to stop them, the process of reinforcement might reach a peak far higher than the original stress, restlessness and distraction and the person would have thereby increased his capacity to experience stress, restlessness and distraction.
No matter who you are, however rich or replete with sensory pleasures, consciousness is the thing that is ever present and required for all your experiences as a being. If your consciousness state like that of everyone else is incarcerated in seemingly implacable stress, restlessness and distraction, isn’t there no greater advantage then if someone was to cause this deadlock to be broken not just after 1977 but in recent years to enable you to experience a significant alleviation of suffering?
Granted you may hear what I say and not understand or put into action, but if you do understand and put what I say into practice, isn’t it to your advantage that cannot be greater if I were to point out to you that the restlessness you must regularly experience is only because of the constant forceful changes in speed and loudness in your speech and if you were to scrutinize, discover and put to an end all unnecessary changes in speed and loudness you will effortlessly exit restlessness that was inconceivable in the past?
BECAUSE STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION THAT IS ALWAYS CREATED BY FABRICATING REQUIRE TIME TO SUBSIDE, IF THE RATE OF THEIR CREATION FAR EXCEEDS THE RATE OF THEIR DISSIPATION THERE WILL BE A SIGNIFICANT RESERVIOR OF STRESS THAT DETAINS THE BEING’S CONSCIOUSNESS IN PERMANENT SUFFERING.
NOT ONLY DOES STRESS, RESTLESNESS AND DISTRACTION CREATED AS A RESULT OF WHAT OTHERS SAY/SING OR DO TAKE TIME TO SUBSIDE, WHAT WAS SAID OR DONE CAN REPEAT VIRTUALLY IN THE MIND TO RECREATE STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION THAT CAN BECOME AMPLIFIED TO REACH INTENSE LEVELS THAT THOUGH IT MAY BE FINALLY SHRUGGED OF, IS RETAINED IN MEMORY TO BE AVAILABLE FOR AROUSAL IN THE FUTURE.
THEREFORE ANYONE WHOSE APPEARANCE, SPEECH AND BEHAVIOR INDUCES STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND DISTRACTION IN OTHERS HAVE GRAVE KARMA, HE IS SETTING EVERYONE WHO INTERACTS WITH HIM ON A PATH TO WOE THAT THEY MAY NEVER EXIT FOR MANY EONS.
Without what I did in 1977 there would certainly have been no consciousness change then that paved the way for the consciousness changes in recent years that is likely if not certainly have been again triggered by my unconventional conduct that brought me a previous inconceivable freedom from sadness, stress, restlessness and distraction. No one has a right to doubt that I did not do what I said I did because how would you know I did not do it? If you doubt, it is mad or helpless doubt that you cannot help or it is driven by ridicule and resentment. If you can discern that things have changed in an unusual way, you have benefited from this unusual change, you should not bite the hand that was potentially the hand that fed you; if you foolishly do and it turns out you are wrong you asking for trouble much greater than you ever dreamt possible. No one will bite any hand unless he possesses ill will. Ill will is never part time but fulltime. Aggression is ill will and it is the opposite, goodwill and loving kindness that is the key to heaven according to the Buddha.
The Buddha Does Not Throw Things:
First Version: That night having elapsed, the Blessed One, leaving intact the skin and hide and flesh and ligaments and bones and marrow of that nàga, and conquering the nàga's fire by His fire, threw him into His alms-bowl, and showed him to the Jañila Uruvelà Kassapa (saying), `Here you see the nàga, Kassapa; his fire has been conquered by my fire.'
Comment: When I read the passage above it immediately occurred to me that it is impossible for the Buddha to disrespectfully throw the naga into his alms bowl and sure enough there is a very different version of what transpired:
Second Version: Having put the chief of serpents into His alms-bowl, He showed him to the bràhmaõa (saying), `Here you see the nàga, Kassapa; his fire has been conquered by my fire.'
A Buddha is incapable of disrespectfully throwing anything let alone a vanquished being and it is a reflection of the interpreter’s possible denigrating the naga and not understanding who the Buddha truly is that he said that the Buddha threw him into the bowl.
Throwing anything is sinful with karma attached. Only when throwing is necessary as throwing an object into a wastebasket or to feed fishes in a pond, only when it is done mindfully at constant speed and force is it not sinful.
Flowers in heaven:
The Buddha:
`When I had sent you away, Kassapa, I went to the Tàvatiüsa heaven to pluck a paricchattaka flower; then I arrived before you and sat down in the fire room. Here is the paricchattaka flower, Kassapa; it is beautiful and fragrant; you may take it, if you like.'
`Nay, Great Samaõa, to you alone it is becoming to keep it; keep it yourself.'
Comment: When the Buddha was about to pass away it is said that fragrant flowers only found in heaven fell down on earth.
Here again, it is said that the Buddha went to heaven to pluck a fragrant flower. It is an indication that there are similarities between heaven and earth.
Quote: Khattiyo settho jane tasmim ye gottapatisárino
Vijjácaranasampanno so settho devamánuse.
(Of the born, the warriors are chief, to one who thinks about the clan
One endowed with knowledge and conduct is chief among gods and men.)
Comment: Those amongst men who are born and die who worship clan, the warriors are chief because they defend the clan and subjugate others but amongst gods and men it is not who you are or what you say you are but it is knowledge (about what this world is all about and truth) and good or blameless conduct that is chief. Because the Buddha is foremost in knowledge and conduct he is foremost amongst gods & men.
The man who can see there are constant unnecessary forceful changes in speed and loudness in people’s speech and how this the inalienable cause to the restlessness they must all suffer is endowed with knowledge amongst men who do not see. The man who can not stretch his syllables, not change speed and loudness thereby not inciting stress, restlessness and distraction in others is endowed with conduct amongst men who do.
And he who is foremost in knowledge and conduct is foremost amongst men.
