Now that supercomputers with sufficient powers to analyse or crunch numbers and speed are available computers who have no understanding of anything have proven they can match and even defeat human chess champions.

BECAUSE SUPERCOMPUTERS CAN BEAT HUMAN CHESS CHAMPIONS AND THEY ARE DEVOID OF ANY UNDERSTANDING, THEY ONLY ACT ACCORDING TO INSTRUCTIONS, IT PROVES THAT NO UNDERSTANDING IS NECESSARY TO PLAY AND WIN CHESS GAMES, WHAT MAY BE CRUCIAL IS MEMORY OF WHAT MOVES TO MAKE AND NOT MAKE IN VARIOUS SITUATIONS, TO MECHANICALLY WORK OUT THE POSSIBLE OUTCOMES FOR EVERY MOVE MADE AND DETERMINE WHICH ARE ADVANTAGEOUS AND DISADVANTAGEOUS EVEN FATAL.

For every move made by an opponent there are many possible countermoves and what is required is to mechanically, laboriously work out or follow its course to find its outcome and to remember which moves lead to favourable outcome and which moves lead to disadvantageous outcomes and thence remember it so that you will in future make the advantageous and avoid the disadvantageous moves. There is nothing noble in the purpose of chess. It is essentially a war game played on a board with pieces and the aim is to attack and destroy the opponent until you capture his king so that the victor can claim emotional reward of being a superior chess player or (wrongfully) a ‘genius’ of chess.

Supporters of chess like to think of their game as a game of brains whilst soccer is a game of brawn but there is more similarity between them than understood.

Both are battles between opposing sides on a field and just as you can mount attacks on the wings to outflank the defenders in soccer, there are outflanking attacking moves down the side in chess. Just as there are forwards, a midfield and defence in soccer there is also a forward line, midfield general and defence in chess.

Battles whether physical or on a board are just about attacking opponents to inflict damage even fatal damage without yourself being clobbered within the rules permitted by the game or the armoury available to you. There is nothing to understand about attacking and defending with the resources available with the purpose of inflicting fatal damage on your opponent and capturing his king.

THE ATTRACTION (AND DIFFICULTY OF PLAYING) OF CHESS IS THE ‘INFINITE’ POSSIBILITIES OF MOVES THAT CAN BE MADE AND BECAUSE MANKIND IS FASCINATED BY POWER, THEY FIND IT FASCINATING TO BE ABLE TO PLAY THIS GAME EXPERTLY SO THAT YOU CAN DEFEAT ALL OPPONENTS. BUT WHAT CHESS INVOLVES IS BRUTE MECHANICAL PROCESSING POWER, BRUTE MEMORIZING OF THE RIGHT AND WRONG MOVES FOR EVERY POSSIBLE SITUATION ON THE BOARD.

BECAUSE IT IS DIFFICULT OR DEMANDING TO MEMORIZE ALL THE CORRECT AND INCORRECT MOVES FOR THE VARIOUS STAGES OF THE GAME AND THEN TO RETRIEVE THE MEMORY QUICKLY TO APPLY, FEW PEOPLE EXCEPT THE OBSESSED AND DELUDED ACHIEVE IT OR ARE BOTHERED TO ACHIEVE IT AND EMOTIONAL CHESS PLAYERS PRIDE THEMSELVES IN THEIR ABILITY TO ‘OUTGUN’ THEIR OPPONENTS IN TERMS OF MEMORIZING AND RAPID CORRECT RETRIEVAL ABILITY AND THEY DELIGHT IN DEFEATING THEIR OPPONENTS EVEN DEFLATING THEIR EGOS.

NO UNDERSTANDING IS NEEDED TO PLAY CHESS, JUST BRUTE ANALYSIS OF ALL THE MOVES POSSIBLE AT VARIOUS STAGES OF THE GAME TO WEED OUT DEAD END MOVES AND REMEMBER ADVANTAGEOUS MOVES TO BE APPLIED IN ALL GAMES.

THERE IS NOTHING ESOTERIC ABOUT CHESS, IT IS JUST A WAR GAME BETWEEN TWO OPPONENTS WITHIN RULES AND EQUIPMENT STIPULATED BY THE GAMES AND THE IDEA OR AIM IS TO DESTROY YOUR OPPONENT WITHOUT YOURSELF BEING DESTROYED AND CAPTURE HIS KING. WHAT IS SO GREAT ABOUT THAT? IT IS ALL ABOUT FIGHTING AND STRATEGIES, ATTACKS AND FEIGNS, SACRIFICES TO ACHIEVE PROFIT.

Jesus said what is exalted by men is an abomination in the sight of God. It may not be some things but everything men exalt is an abomination in the sight of God and so it is that chess may not be exalted by God but it is a mad obsessive meaningless pursuit by some to satisfy their egos (which is about pride or force not reason) that will end in their agony.

A chess player must be a robot:

It is said that different chess grandmasters have different styles of play and favourite openings. An opening is only a favourite because it is rehashed many times and by rehashing the chess player is acting as a robot and conditioning himself to further rehash.

All the moves are in truth made from memory not freshly composed specifically for that occasion.

It is unlikely if not impossible that an expert chess player will recklessly try a move that he does not know, to give a move he does not know or is unfamiliar a try to see what happens but his move is usually a repeat of one he has made in the same situation in the past and so chess is all about memorizing and rehashing from memory and the chess player is de facto a robot further conditioning himself to be a robot just as a footballer is always a robot continuously conditioning himself increasingly as a robot.

There is nothing to understand in chess, all you must know (remember) is what possible moves the opponent, if he is an expert can make to exploit that move you have made and so you must painstakingly learn to only make moves that do not permit your opponent to gain an unfair or fatal advantage over you.

That means that for every move you make you must analyze thoroughly and that means brute mindless mechanical work to see if there are possible weaknesses in it that can be exploited by your opponent.

There is no substitute to laboriously working out or analyzing each move you make in order to know if it is potentially risky or it is safe or advantageous and thus knowing and memorized that has nothing to do with understanding, you ensure that in future you only make moves you know or remember are safe or advantages.

You hear people especially newspapers trumpet ‘the big no’.

There is nothing big or small or loud or soft about ‘no’. No is just no and so if you keep saying ‘big no’ and see nothing wrong, you are flirting with false perception that ‘no’ can be big or small that will end in tears for you, mad perception.

You think it fun or cute to say ‘big no’ wait until you get mad and see if it is fun or cute.

Here as in many places people see or hear and think they understand but they do not understand that what they see or hear is false and it is not harmless but deadly.

False rote rules or no understanding:

For one who sees correctly as it is, emotional people with style never have genuine understanding of anything but whatever understanding they have is false or distorted rote understanding or they do not understand.

The mind can be compared to a malleable mirror in which the action of force is to contort its surface so that whatever is reflected in it is never as it actually is but distorted by distortions of its surface and the more force acting on the mirror, the more warped its surface and the more distorted reflections on it are or the perceptions of that mind.

Because all ordinary people with emotions and style (use of force to stretch, change speed and loudness) have force acting on their minds all the time, their mental mirrors are always distorted and whatever is perceived by them through this distorted mirror of their minds is also always distorted and therefore either false rote or it is not reflected at all, they cannot understand because the reflections are so bizarre they cannot make sense or understand.

People sometimes smile and say they have difficulty understanding what you are saying. What they say too is false because they cannot understand not have difficulty understanding. Whatever can be said can be immediately objectively known by one with genuine understanding as true, false or nonsense and so the difficulty someone has with understanding what is said to him reflects his mind, he is at fault NEVER what is said. The reasons he does not understand (not have difficulty understanding) are because he has preconceived notions that are false and at variance to what is said to him, his strong dislike or the repulsive stirring of his mental force for what is said or his scattered mind make it impossible for him to assimilate and understand.

It is an immaculate self deception that it is reason that is their receptionist to whatever impinges their senses and motivates people’s actions because it is never reason but force as attractive like and repulsive dislike that is the receptionist for whatever happens to them and it is force or emotion, like and dislike plus sadness and hurt that motivates their actions in speech and deed. Whatever reasons they give for their perceptions or their actions are excuses, rationalizations to falsely explain their actions.

For instance when someone speaks to them with great eagerness or friendliness that is because there is musical accelerations in speed and loudness of what they hear, they in addition say things that flatter eg as if you are very pretty or handsome or intelligent or as if they admire you, their mental forces are stirred attractively such that they perceive the person is reliable, speaking truly and good and thus taken into confidence they become victims of deception. In this case it is the person’s mental force stirred attractively by the way the person spoke with musical charm and flattering words, not true understanding of what and how the person said that led him to the false conclusion that the person is reliable.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR A PERSON WITH GENUINE UNDERSTANDING TO NOT UNDERSTAND OR HAVE DIFFICULTY UNDERSTANDING ANYTHING BECAUSE HIS MIND FREED OF DEFILING DISTORTING FORCE EFFORTLESSLY REFLECTS WHATEVER IS SAID TO HIM AND HE IMMEDIATELY UNDERSTANDS IT AS TRUE, FALSE OR NONSENSE.

THUS ANYONE WHO ADMITS HE HAS DIFFICULTY UNDERSTANDING SOMETHING IS SPEAKING FALSELY BECAUSE IN TRUTH HE HAS NO (GENUINE) UNDERSTANDING. Mental force is the source of all suffering, sins and no understanding:

Freed of force a mind instantly understands just as freed of force distorting a mirror it instantly reflects accurately whatever images that falls it.

Seized by force a mind never truly understands, whatever understanding is distorted false rote rules understanding.

A person’s mental force is the source of all his suffering and sins or evil and what makes him not understand or misunderstand or falsely understand.

Westerners feel the heat in Mumbai:

The fact that you ‘understand’ that it means ‘Westerners felt targeted by terrorists in Mumbai’ indicates the advanced state of your false understanding not how capable you are of understanding.

The person is not saying what he means but is indirectly saying or hinting or alluding to westerners feeling targeted.

Did westerners tell him or anybody they feel the heat? Hence he is presumptuous to say what may not have actually happened. Most westerners may not have realized they were targeted and they were struggling to escape just like anybody else and that they were the targets may be conjecture, not stated by the terrorists themselves.

WESTERNERS FEEL THE HEAT IS A FALSE WAY OF SPEAKING AIMED AT THE READER’S EMOTIONS NOT REASON (HEAT STIRS UP PERCEPTIONS OF PAIN) ISTEAD OF SAYING WESTERNERS WERE TARGETED IN MUMBAI. If something is truly mad, there is never method in it but if there is method or motive in something then it is not truly mad and you should not call it madness but you call what has method mad because you like to stir contradiction or you want to say something is not what it appears to be. If you think ‘something is not what it appears to be’ and ‘method in madness’ is the same you may be right or you have no understanding.

What the writer may be getting at is that the attackers may be trying to achieve publicity for their cause and may be targeting westerners.

Just because there is an orgy of killing does not mean the attackers are mad, they may be deluded and brainwashed to single-mindedly kill for their causes. They have a purpose, they are violent, destructive and killers but that does not mean they are mad (yet).

Just because you do not like the mayhem that turns your world upside down does not mean it is mad and if the attackers are not mad then it is not surprising or remarkable that there is method because it is not method in madness but method in their attacks.

Are these people or terrorists mad or are they not mad, even though they are violent and willing to kill, they have objectives that they want to achieve.

You don’t need force to seeing, all you need is to open your eyes and see. Yet all beings in this world use force whenever they see or hear. When someone or an animal pricks his ear to listen, he is intensifying the force in his hearing because he thinks in delusion force enhances his hearing. Whenever they have difficulty seeing something, people strain or stir more force to see reflecting their delusion force is a requisite of good seeing.

No man who truly understands will use force to see because not only is using force to see totally without meaning, it is wasting energy to create insoluble stress, restlessness and distraction, thus anyone who stares or use force to see cannot understand.

Just as people using force that is unnecessary to see, they use unnecessary force to prolong, change speed and strength of force when they speak or do anything, they also use force that is not only unnecessary but is blind and blinding to understand and as a result they can never truly understand, only false rehashed programmed understanding.

Mukhriz is under attack by his enemies because he is running for office but he is not being assassinated. Assassination of his character implies that he is of good character. If his character is bad to begin with, what is there to assassinate?

Mukhriz: One school system will enhance unity

It is very easy for Mukhriz to pronounce but difficult for others to carry out including the dislocation of students and it may not work at all and cost a lot of money.

TO BE SEEN TO DOING THINGS, POLITICIANS OPEN THEIR MOUTHS TO ADVICE THIS AND THAT WITHOUT MUCH THOUGHT TO IMPRESS OTHERS THEY ARE WISE AND CONCERNED WHEN WHAT THEY ADVICE MAY BE USELESS AND COST A LOT IN MONEY AND TROUBLE TO THOSE AFFECTED.

SO LONG AS THE UMNO POLITICIANS LIKE HIM PLAY THE RACIAL CARD EVERYTIME THEY ARE UNDER THREAT THERE CAN BE NO ENHANCEMENT OF UNITY IN THIS COUNTRY.

UMNO’s divide and rule is the culprit:

It is UMNO’s conscious and unconscious policy of divide and rule and playing the race card that is the insurmountable obstacle to racial integration in this country.

Mukhriz’s one school system is another harebrained idea just like Najib’s National Service that has caused so much trouble to so many parents at great cost the nation and a big avenue for corruption.

So long as UMNO is intent on playing the race card, the ketuanan Melayu and want to divide and rule, there can be no unity in this country.

IF MUKRIZ BELIEVES WHAT HE SAID IS TRUE, THEN HE IS DELUDED AND WILL BECOME MAD. IT IS POSSIBLE AND LIKELY HE BELIEVES WHAT HE SAID BECAUSE BELIEVING IS CHEAP AND IT DOES NOT INVOLVE ANY WORK OR SACRIFICE ON HIS PART.

THE VAST MAJORITY OF GOATS WILL NOT LOOK AT THEMSELVES IN THE MIRROR TO SEE WHO THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM IS, THEY WILL CONVENIENTLY FINDS EXCUSES OR FALSE REASONS FOR EVENTS LIKE RACIAL SEGREGATION.

Car engine much smoother after battery change:

My car battery which was almost 4 years old suddenly expired and after the battery change I noticed the engine was appreciably smoother and there may be a rationale behind it with evidence that fits in.
The mechanic who charged me a decent $300 for the battery after doing a house call from PJ said batteries usually last 2 years.

Although there were no warning signs of impending battery failure recently I noticed the clock was running almost 5 minutes slower and wondered if the battery was weak. I also felt the engine was running a bit rough or not as smooth as I would like.

Then a few days ago the car refused to start. It would crank quite well for many cycles I tried but the car refused to start and then the battery went flat after the exertion.

The reason it would crank well but refuse to start may be because starting requires high voltage and the weak battery may have enough power to crank the motor but not enough to generate the high voltage needed for the sparkplugs to spark to ignite the fuel mixture.

The reason the engine is now running smoother is because the stronger battery is able to provide a consistent strong spark to run the engine.

THUS YOU MAY HAVE THE MOST SOPHISTICATED ENGINE BUT IF YOUR LOW TECH BATTERY IS WEAK IT MAY AFFECT ITS PERFORMANCE AND EVEN INCREASE FUEL CONSUMPTION BECAUSE A WEAK BATTERY MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GENERATE THE HIGH VOLTAGE NEEDED TO CAUSE THE SPARK PLUGS TO SPARK CAUSING INCONSISTENT FIRING.

Nowadays batteries give no warning of impending failure and if you were to have a flat battery somewhere remote it can be a harrowing experience. I was lucky the battery failed in my garage and I could call my regular mechanic to come at his leisure.

Even after the battery was changed it refused to start for quite a while perhaps because the combustion chambers were flooded with fuel and for a while we thought there was something more 'sinister' wrong with the car but somehow after persisting, the engine first hesitating came to life and expired and then became normal.

 

Zaid sacked from Umno

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno has sacked former de-facto Law Minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim for attending events organised by several opposition parties.

Comment: This action is totally unwarranted and indicates the irrational vindictiveness of UMNO and its leaders.

It was Badawi himself who announced the sacking.

Are the opposition lepers, have contagious diseases that there can be no contact or socialization with them by UMNO members?

EVEN IF YOU DIFFER IN POLITICAL IDEOLOGY FROM THE OPPOSITION THEY ARE HUMANS AND THERE IS NOTHING TO FORBID UMNO MEMBERS FROM SOCIALIZING WITH OPPOSITION MEMBERS.

THUS THE DECISION TO SACK ZAID THAT MUST HAVE BADAWI’S APPROVAL IF NOT INSTRUCTION REFLECTS WRATHFUL IRRATIONALITY THAT INDICATES THE PEOPLE RUNNING THE COUNTRY ARE NARROW MINDED, INTOLERANT, INCOMPETENT AND HYPOCRITES. THEY ARE LIKE PIMPS AND THE NATION IS LIKE PROSTITUTES UNDER THEIR CONTROL AND THEY WILL DRIVE THE COUNTRY TO THE GROUND.

ANYONE INCLUDING BADAWI WHO THINKS IT IS APPROPRIATE TO SACK ZAID JUST BECAUSE HE ATTENDED OPPOSITION FUNCTIONS HAS SERIOUS FALSE PERCEPTION AND LOGIC (DRIVEN IN INTENSE EMOTIONAL VENGEFULNESS) THAT WILL END IN MAD PERCEPTION AND LOGIC THAT IS NOT THE WAY TO HEAVEN BUT ETERNAL PERDITION.

Mukhriz talks nonsense:

Mukhriz: I did not call for schools to be closed down

 

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir has clarified that he did not call for vernacular schools to be closed down.

”I said the system should be one. I don’t think the issue of closing schools arises. That is the last thing I want,” he said when commenting on the flak he received after it was reported on Monday that he had called on the Govern­ment to abolish the vernacular school system to enhance unity among the people and that a single school system was the only way to check racial polarisation.

“The school remains the same physically and it is the system that needs changing where the medium of teaching would eventually be one, which is Bahasa Malaysia, except for Science and Mathematics,” he said, adding that it would include religious schools.

Comment: On the one hand he says all schools should be integrated or the system should be one but on the other hand he insists he did not call for vernacular schools to be closed down.

If students from the other races freely attend the vernacular school and the vernacular school instruction is identical to that of national schools then isn’t that the closing down of vernacular schools or the de facto conversion of vernacular schools to national school?

MUKHRIZ DOES NOT REALIZE HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT AND HE IS TONGUE TWISTING. ON THE ONE HAND HE IS CALLING FOR THE INTEGRATION OF VERNACULAR SCHOOLS THAT WOULD MEAN STUDENTS OF OTHER RACES FREELY ATTEND THE SCHOOL AND THEIR SYLLABUSES BE IDENTICAL TO NATIONAL SCHOOLS AND ON THE OTHER HAND HE DENIES WANTING TO CLOSE THEM DOWN. HE WANTS TO HAVE HIS CAKE AND EAT IT TOO.

BECAUSE HE CONTRADICTS HIMSELF HE DOES NOT REALIZE HE IS COURTING MADNESS. ANYONE WHO ACCEPTS WHAT HE SAID IS TRUE THAT HE DID NOT CALL FOR THE CLOSURE OF VERNACULAR SCHOOLS TOO IS ACCEPTING CONTRADICTION AS POSSIBLE AND WILL HEAD FOR MAD CONFLICT.

How to achieve unity without closing down vernacular schools?

Whilst there are some Indians even Malays who attend Chinese language schools, they are a rarity and it is this segregation of students into schools that cater largely for a certain race (Islamic schools for Malays) that is the ‘sore’ point.

In order to achieve racial unity as Mukriz said, the population at Chinese schools must reflect the racial composition of the country and since few Malays will want their children to be educated in Chinese (especially the UMNO types), it means the medium of instruction must be Malay and that de facto means closing down the vernacular school.

MUKHRIZ MAY NOT HAVE CALLED FOR THE CLOSING OF VERNACULAR SCHOOLS BUT IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE UNITY IT MEANS MANY MORE MALAYS AND INDIANS MUST ATTEND CHINESE SCHOOLS AND SINCE MALAYS WILL NOT DO SO WITH CHINESE INSTRUCTION IT MEANS CHINESE SCHOOL MUST INSTRUCT IN MALAY AND THAT IS INEVITABLY THE CLOSURE OF VERNACULAR SCHOOLS.

THUS MUKHRIZ DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT, HE BENDS AND TWISTS IN ORDER NOT TO ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY AND SUCH A PERSON IS NOT IDEAL AS LEADER.
