A close look at the giant Varanus bitatawa

 

A new species of giant lizard has been discovered in the Philippines.

The monitor, described as spectacular by the scientists who found it, lives in forests covering the Sierra Madre mountains in the north of the country.

The striking reptile has bright yellow, blue and green skin, and survives on a diet of just fruit, yet until now it has escaped the eyes of biologists.

"It is an incredible animal," says Dr Rafe Brown, one of the scientists who describe the new lizard in the journal Biology Letters.

Forgiveness is for past wrong that cannot be reversed:

If you have done wrong to someone and you are remorseful then you confess the wrong and ask to be forgiven.

If you are in the midst of writing a long essay that you can correct by shortening and you ask for forgiveness and then launch into a long essay that you perceive will offend then you are a hypocrite asking for forgiveness.

What is the purpose of you writing?

The purpose of the writing below is to discuss or inform the public about APCO but there is substantial straying that is irrelevant, rehashed style or to impress.

Whatever is not related to the purpose of discussing APCO is controlled madness that will end in madness because it is irrelevant but by delving you must perceive it is necessary for the purpose of talking about APCO.

I think we may be on to something big here (what is the point of telling others you think?). I suggest (very polite and unnecessary) you start with Tian’s 2 articles, here and here.

As what will hopefully be part of a multi-part series (sorry in advance if you get sick of it), let me start (just start and don’t waste time asking to let you start) with the Shin Bet connection.

Shin Bet = Shabak = Israel Security Agency (ISA, ironically) = the Israeli internal spying agency = Israel’s Special Branch (but if you can imagine, even worse).

I think I too must add the obligatory “this is not anti-Semitic” preamble. Like many of us who studied in the US (do you have to inform others you studied in the US for the purpose of discussing APCO or is it to by the way boast?), we have tons of great (not possible) Jewish friends, and have long learnt to differentiate between Jew and Zionist.

Especially after researching the Shin Bet however, I think there is even less doubt as to some of the repressive tendencies of the Israeli government.

First, let us establish (cut out the crap or rubbish about let me this and that, it is irrelevant and tedious) the Shin Bet connection to APCO (APCO’s involvement w/the government, we must note, has been established beyond doubt).

It starts here, with a member of APCO’s Advisory Board, a man named Doron Bergerbest-Eilon:

Mr. Bergerbest-Eilon is the founder, president and CEO of ASERO Worldwide, where he advises clients on strategic and tactical security challenges and provides assistance to both governments and corporations to prepare, mitigate and recover from threats of terrorism and other hazards; and to protect lives and critical assets and ensure continuity of operations.

Someone with the connections of an ex-Major General of the Israeli Defense Forces? And CEO of which company again? ASERO? Back to Tian:

Apco’s involvement in various intelligence and security-related projects is done through its strategic partner and sister company Asero Worldwide. While Apco’s expertise is in the field of communications, Asero specialises in homeland security and risk management consultancy.

Apco and Asero have many overlapping consultants and management members. For example, Doron Bergerbest-Eilon who sits on Apco’s International Advisory Council was also founder and president of Asero Worldwide.

Mara Hedgecoth, the daughter of Apco CEO and President Margery Kraus also sits in Asero as Vice President. At the same time, Mara Hedgecoth also serves as Vice President and Director in Apco Worldwide.

The connection between APCO and ASERO is fully public. The only other company mentioned on ASERO’s About Us page:

ASERO is a partner company with APCO Worldwide, an independent, majority employee-owned global communication consultancy.

Let’s leave most of the details about ASERO for another post – suffice to say that they are clearly being run by the same people; practically part of the same holding company / mafia. Let’s just start very simply with ASERO’s Management Team.

That’s a company run by four top ranking Shin Bet officials. I think it’s time we hear a bit about Shin Bet, aka Shabak.

The vital importance of true logic:

If you can see and know everything based on direct seeing as God and to a certain extent heavenly beings can then you do not need to reason to work out or make sense of an event.

If you cannot see and know everything directly as is the case for beings trapped here then it is important to develop an ability to make correct sense or understanding of the information available, separating hearsay and what may or may be true from what is true or established and based on such information, to come to a correct conclusion as to what happened. Even when the person with false logic is supplied with information of what is true, he can still come to a wrong conclusion based on those facts.

THE IMPORTANCE OF POSSESSING FRESH SPECIFIC TO THE OCCASION TRUE LOGIC AS OPPOSED TO REHASHED RULES LOGIC IS THAT YOU CAN AND MAY SUSTAIN SERIOUS LOSSES AND EVEN YOUR LIFE MAY BE AT STAKE IF YOUR LOGIC IS FAULTY OR FALSE.

Thus in the Altanturya murder case, the person is faced with many often conflicting pieces of information, some of which are hearsay, some vested, some unwittingly incriminating or revealing and it is up to him, if he is interested in establishing the truth as to what actually happened (if it is possible) to separate the chaff from the grains and using the grains, to piece together or make sense to come to a conclusion if possible who did it. There is no need to be emotional or cry foul of cover up or suspect, objectively, in this case it can be established who is guilty and not.

There are cases where it is not possible based on available information to establish whether a person is guilty or not but in the Altanturya case there are many unique or specific to the case factors that make it possible (for the discerning) to establish the truth eg the two charged are fellow policemen, not members of the public and the analyst has close ties with the ruling elite.

And so how does one with true understanding make sense of the Altanturya case and come to a conclusion (if possible) as to who did it?

The line of reasoning is this:

Altanturya is not somebody special and so there is no imperative for the police to solve her murder if they did not know who did it or are not sure especially when two of those charged are its fellow officers and Razak has close ties with the ruling elite and you only charge someone closely connected to the ruling if you are sure he is involved.

Police will only charge its own members and charge someone linked to the ruling elite if it is true or if it is to protect someone, make them falsely take the blame for someone who must be known to the police and be important (a VIP).

Bearing in mind the negative publicity of the case, police would be insane to wrongly charge the two cops and Razak just to solve the murder unless it is to deflect attention from the real culprits who must be known to the police and be important people.

And it is impossible the police can make a mistake or blunder in this case because the two charged are fellow policemen who would have confided to them privately exactly what happened if indeed they carried out the killing or were at the scene.

There is much circumstantial evidence these two policemen were involved, they were captured on video at the hotel Altanturya stayed, they were seen taking her away from the house of Razak, notwithstanding the detailed and credible confession Sirul made.

Altanturya herself admitted to blackmailing Razak and wanting money from him and Razak himself admitted that. Thus her murder has something to do with Razak and money matters and if Sirul said there are others involved who must be protected who were not questioned in court it must be in relation to this money matter shared in common by Razak and these unknown persons.

THUS IT IS POSSIBLE BY A PROCESS OF TRUE SPECIFIC TO THE OCCASION LOGIC, BASED ON UNIQUE FACTORS OF THIS CASE TO COME TO A DEFINITE CONCLUSION WHAT TRULY HAPPENED, WHETHER THOSE CHARGED WERE GUILTY OR NOT. IF YOU HAVE FOLLOWED THE CASE AND CONCLUDED THAT YOU SUSPECT THIS AND THAT BUT CANNOT BE SURE OR YOU SAY ‘ALMOST CERTAIN BUT CANNOT BE SURE’ THEN YOU HAVE DOUBT AND UNCERTAINTY THAT IS ONE OF THREE FACTORS TO FUTURE WOE.

Suspicious and trusting:

There are those who are by nature suspicious, don’t trust anybody and those who are by nature trusting, they trust anybody.

There are yet those who are sometimes suspicious and sometimes trust.

Suspiciousness and trusting are actually blind programs that order the person to suspect or trust and both are based on blindness, an inability to see as to the truth of the situation or person.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR A PERSON WHO CAN SEE THE TRUTH OR FALSITY OF A PERSON OR SITUATION TO BE SUSPICIOUS OR TRUSTING AND IT IS A PERSON WHO HAS DIFFICULTY OR INABILITY TO SEE THE TRUTH, WHO HSA BEEN PROGRAMMED BY OTHERS OR HIMSELF WHO WILL GREET THINGS WITH SUSPICION OR TRUST.

IT IS DANGEROUS TO BE SUSPICIOUS OR TRUST AND IT MEANS YOU CANNOT SEE AND IS LIABLE TO BE CHEATED.

April 9 (Bloomberg) -- Look to municipal bonds for the next big disaster.

Bookstaber said the next big crisis looked a lot like the last big crisis, in housing and credit.

Conditions in the municipal-bond market match almost exactly the conditions that existed for the blowup that sparked the worst recession since the Great Depression, he said.

The muni market is leveraged and opaque, in terms of pension obligations. It is a big market, and problems can “go systemic,” he writes. Much of the tax-base, things like toll revenue, is already mortgaged. Once a few municipalities default on their debt, “there is a risk of a widespread cascade because the opprobrium will be lessened.”

Bookstaber is a serious, smart fellow, a hedge-fund and Wall Street securities firm veteran. What he says can’t be dismissed as the usual headline-grabbing bloggery hysteria.

the city controller of Los Angeles this week said it might go broke in a month; the mayor called for nonessential services to be shut down for two days a week. The Citizens Research Council of Michigan, an independent research organization, released a report on Detroit, and said it might be helpful if the city reorganized under bankruptcy protection.

There’s a lot of bad stuff going on in Muniland right now. Because tax revenue tends to lag behind economic recovery, there’s more gloom on the horizon. (Even if there is recovery, municipal revenue will recover later so they will still have shortfalls)

The $2.8 trillion municipal market is enormous. First there’s the number of governmental units, including things such as school districts and authorities: 89,526 at last count, which was in 2007. There are probably more today.

So how would you quantify “systemic” default? If we say only half of the governments sold bonds, that’s about 45,000. The figure is probably higher, though, because so many small issuers sell bonds once every few years.

Is systemic, then, 10,000 defaults? Maybe it’s 20,000? The record year in recent history for defaults was 1991, when 259 bond issues either failed to make debt-service payments or violated covenants, according to the Distressed Debt Securities newsletter of Miami Lakes, Florida.

During the Great Depression, from 1930 to 1939, 4,770 municipal-bond issues defaulted, according to George H. Hempel’s book “The Postwar Quality of State and Local Debt” (1971). More than 60 percent occurred in the South or the Midwest.

The nature of suspicion:

Suspiciousness is an emotional state of dislike (repulsive stirring of a person’s mental force) for a person or something proposed mixed with confusion or agitation (disorganized stirring in speed and strength of his mental force).

It is the perceiving of what is bad is good, what is harmful is harmless even beneficial, what is meaningless is meaningful that triggers the suspiciousness which is a conditioning rehashable compound emotional state. Suspiciousness is addictive and when leads to paranoia and thence insanity.

IT IS THE FALSE PERCEPTION OF THE PERSON TO PERCEIVE WHAT IS FALSE (EG LIE TOLD TO THEM) IS TRUE, SOMETHING HARMFUL & MEANINGLESS (EG STRETCHING SYLLABLES, CHANGING SPEED AND LOUDNESS) IS BENEFICIAL AND MEANINGFUL THAT UNFAILINGLY LEADS TO THE SUSPICIOUS EMOTIONAL STATE OF STIRRED REPULSION (DISLIKE) AND AGITATION THAT CONDITIONS THE PERSON WITH INCREASING INTENSITY AND EASE OF AROUSAL UNTIL IT DESCENDS INTO PARANOIA AND THENCE INSANITY.

A PERSON WHO SEES THE TRUTH, WHO SEES WHAT IS TRUE IS TRUE, WHAT IS FALSE IS FALSE, WHAT IS HARMFUL IS HARMFUL, WHAT IS MEANINGLESS IS MEANINGLESS IS NEVER SUSPICIOUS, NEVER STIRS HIS MENTAL FORCE TO BE REPULSED AND AGITATED.

STIRRING MENTAL FORCE TO BE SUSPICIOUS IS THE WRONG BLIND TOOL TO SUMMON IN FACE OF A SITUATION, SUMMONING SEEING AND LOGIC IS THE RIGHT TOOL.

Suspicion is a mix of dislike, fear and agitation:

Suspicion is a mix of dislike for a person or something mixed with aroused fear and agitation (restlessness) as a result of the person perceiving what is false is true, what is harmful is beneficial and what is meaningless is meaningful.

RM28 million contract awarded to a RM2 company called APCO Worldwide Sdn Bhd

“Who actually owns APCO Worldwide Sdn Bhd and therefore are benefiting from the huge government contract?”

This post is just about two simple facts.

First, as reported on The Malaysian Insider, the de facto law minister Nazri Aziz admitted that the government has awarded a contract totalling RM28 million to APCO Worldwide:

… Umno is a member of the Barisan Nasional who employs APCO and is paying APCO RM28 million…

Second, according to the official document from the Companies Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia), APCO Worldwide Sdn Bhd, formerly known as Mind Teams Sdn Bhd and the local agent for APCO Worldwide based in Washington DC, is a RM2 company (total issued ordinary shares).

So we now have the bigger picture: Malaysian government awarded RM28 million worth of contract to a RM2 company. In case you are not aware, with RM2 as its issued ordinary shares, the maximum exposure or liability the company has in its business dealings, including the RM28 million contract with Malaysian government, is … RM2.

Worse, the two sole shareholders are fishy too. Hasniza Bt Wazer seems to be only 30 years of age, according to her IC number. Whereas, Rohani Bt Mat Yatim is 46 years old. Interestingly, none of them sits on the board of directors of the company. Six other ladies and gentlemen are the directors: Yiap Tiew Kuang, Tan Poh Oon, Larry Erle Snoddon, Paul Geoffrey Stadlen, Denise Marie Teeling, and Margery Klaus. The “sins” of some of these people and APCO Worldwide are already well covered by Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim (here, here, here and here) and jelas.info (here and here)

Both Hasniza and Rohani do not have any semblance of businesswomen/investors at all, because, according to some other official records, Hasniza stays in some “perumahan awam” (public housing) at Setapak Jaya whereas Rohani stays in a Sentul Park Apartment. At least their residential addresses do not match the type of business APCO Worldwide is in. So they are most likely two proxy shareholders.

(Incidentally, the pair of “Haniza Wazer + Rohani Mat Yatim” has appeared in quite a few dubious business transactions, many of them involving RM2 companies. [Google] [Yahoo] For instance, Cepat Wawasan Group Bhd acquired Magnum Kapital, another RM2 company, from the pair. They seem like ‘professional proxy shareholders’. According to a lawyer friend familiar with commercial matters, such practice of using proxy shareholders is not uncommon, but usually happens in cases of ’something to hide’ and may potentially step into gray area of business legality.)

Why do you want to have two proxy shareholders? Even the retarded will think that there is something to hide by the actual shareholders. For the Malaysian public, the question naturally comes to mind is, “Who actually owns APCO Worldwide Sdn Bhd and therefore are benefiting from the huge government contract?”

Object lesson:

Quote Krugman: It’s (Greece) a terrible story, and clearly an object lesson for the rest of us. But an object lesson in what, exactly?

Anwar will be PM, ex-police interrogator says

(Anwar is an emotional man with style but he has integrity where his detractors are hypocrites and the story below of Anwar’s ISA interrogator who ‘fell in love’ with Anwar does not surprise me)

HULU SELANGOR, April 9 — At 70, Abdul Kudus Omar, even with his thinning shock of white hair, cuts a slim, trim and youthful figure.

His eyes, now crinkled at the corners, tell of stories long past and experiences that, although sometimes bitter, have also become the potion of life that has kept him fuelled throughout the years.

To Abdul Kudus, it is not the number of years in one’s life that matters — it is how much life one injects into those years that really counts. And for the grandfather of 11, the very essence of that life was his unfaltering faith and belief in the struggles of one man — Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Ironically, Abdul Kudus’ friendship with the fiery opposition leader, dating as far back as 1974, had sparked off from a rather bizarre setting — in the interrogation room of the Bukit Aman police headquarters.

Then a corporal with the force’s Special Branch unit, Abdul Kudus who is today the division chairman for PKR Tanjung Karang, was tasked with interrogating the young student leader Anwar, who had been detained — for the first time — under the Internal Security Act (ISA) for rallying against rural poverty and hunger.

“It was a 60-day long interrogation. I was assigned to the duty with two others but I did most of the questioning for the others often found ways to get out of it,” Abdul Kudus told The Malaysian Insider in an exclusive interview here this week.

The septuagenarian gestured energetically as he recalled the details of his early friendship with Anwar and looked right at home in the tiny coffee shop nestled at the fringes of Desa Maju, Kampung Sungai Tengi. Despite his advanced years, the pint-sized activist commutes at least one hour daily to the village, known to be an Umno stronghold, to spearhead activities for his party’s campaign in the Hulu Selangor by-election on April 25.

“I had already known of Anwar before, as the leader of Abim (Malaysian Muslim Youth Movement), but we only met when he got arrested. It was too bad that he got arrested. At the time, the Home Ministry claimed that his actions had been under the influence and instigation of Parti Komunis Malaya — they were trying to implicate him with the communist party.

“Anwar was placed under solitary confinement for his involvement in the protests and my job was to speak with him every day for 60 days, to determine if he was indeed a threat to national security,” said Abdul Kudus.

In the 60 days, he said, his admiration for the young Anwar grew.

“He was co-operative, there was no exchange of harsh words or violence. We discussed things; education policies, politics, everything,” he said.

It was during that time, said Abdul Kudus, that he “fell in love” with Anwar’s courage and powerful convictions.

“There was something inside this guy, something in his style that told me: this man will be the prime minister of Malaysia one day,” he said.

Abdul Kudus said that although Anwar was sent to serve a 20-month sentence at the Kamunting detention camp, his friendship with him never wavered.

“We stayed in touch and when he was released, we would meet up, sometimes as often as once a week. We spoke extensively about the future of Islam, the wellbeing of the people and the future of the country,” he said.

Abdul Kudus added that he had initially been opposed to the idea of Anwar joining Umno. “I do not know what it was, I just felt something was not good. At the time, it was (former prime minister Tun) Dr Mahathir (Mohamad) who invited him in. He called Anwar’s father-in-law, Datuk Wan Ismail and said that he wanted Anwar to join his Cabinet,” he said.

Despite his uneasiness at the proposition, Abdul Kudus said his support for Anwar continued throughout the years, until the leader reached the pinnacle of his career in the Federal Government — he had become the country’s second-in-line to the premiership as the deputy prime minister.

Anwar’s steady climb to the top came to an abrupt stop, however, when he was suddenly sacked in 1998 over allegations of sodomy and corruption, and subsequently sent to jail until 2004.

“In Sept 2, 1998, I was in Seremban visiting my children when I heard the news — Anwar had been removed. I knew immediately he had been framed. I knew it without a doubt.

“Since that day, I joined the reformasi (reformation) movement and never looked back,” he said.

Abdul Kudus admitted that although his faith in Anwar had already become an impenetrable fortress, it had not been an easy transition to move from his cushy life as a pro-establishment supporter to the opposition camp.

“I had joined Umno in 1996 already. I was in the party as a member for almost two years when Anwar was removed. But it mattered little for I knew, and I strongly believed, that this man had been framed,” he said.

In Sept 16, 1998, Abdul Kudus organised a mammoth rally for Anwar at his home in Tanjung Karang, giving the leader the platform to explain his predicament to the people.

“Thousands gathered to hear him. It was surreal,” he said.

On Sept 20, Anwar was arrested. A few days later, Abdul Kudus, and many of his family members were sacked from Umno.

“Anyone with the ‘bin Omar’ name was sacked. But it was funny — we laughed until our stomachs exploded,” he said.

Abdul Kudus went on to explain that even his contract for an excavator service business that he had just started at the time, was also taken away.

“They took everything from us, from me. Even my brother, who was not an Umno member, was apparently sacked from Umno. Do not ask me how, we received the letters and we just laughed,” he said.

The losses, however, never once dampened Abdul Kudus’ resolve to stand strong for the reformasi movement, and his blind faith in Anwar even withstood the test of whopping offers of gifts and monetary rewards.

“I am quite somebody in Selangor. And they (Umno) knew that. I am very valuable to them because the people of Selangor know me,” he said.

He claimed that he had been approached with contract offers and cash rewards in exchange for his return to Umno and his departure from the reformasi movement.

“They asked me — how many million ringgit worth of contract do you want? I was asked also to hand over my membership form to Umno to a prominent politician onstage during one function and  when I descended from the stage, I was to receive RM5 million upfront,” he said, smiling coyly.

“After 34 years of clean service with the force... I never once accepted corrupt offers... and now, when I am old and decrepit, why should I sacrifice all those years?” he said.

Instead, Abdul Kudus said he chose to follow his heart.

“And I had already, from years before, fallen in love with Anwar’s fight. What Anwar is preaching is the very value I admire... I fall in love with people who preach the universal values of mankind — that mankind is equal, that we are all one people.

“I see that he is not only a leader to his family, to the people but also, he is a leader of the world. When Anwar speaks, everyone listens — the Muslims, the Christians, the Buddhists, everyone,” he said.

Abdul Kudus expressed disgust at leaders who ruled only for the sake of holding on to power and not to use that power to improve society.

“They do not care, they would do anything to stay up on that pedestal,” he said.

He noted that Anwar, however, had not only gone to the far corners of power but had also been dragged mercilessly from the throne and thrown into the dark recesses of incarceration.

Even then, he said, the now 62-year-old leader had still emerged upholding the very same principles he had admired in the young student leader whom he met in 1974.

It was this determination, concluded Abdul Kudus, that would make his prediction, made within the four walls of the dank interrogation room at Bukit Aman more than 30 years ago, come true.

“Anwar will become the prime minister of Malaysia one day.”

Fair to say:

It is fair to say that relations between manager Gianfranco Zola and the owners of West Ham, David Gold and David Sullivan, have not got off on the best of footings.

“Fair to say” is a rehashed nicety that is always false.

You do not say anything except that it is true and if what you say is true then it is silly to say it is fair to say.

What he is saying is that what he states may be disputed by others but he is reasonably right or accurate to say that.

IT IS NOT WHEN IT IS ‘FAIR TO SAY’ THAT YOU SAY SOMETHING BUT UNLESS YOU WANT SUFFERING AND INSANITY, YOU DO NOT SAY SOMETHING UNLESS YOU SEE AND KNOW WHAT YOU SAY IS TRUE, NOT ‘FAIR TO SAY’.

‘FAIR TO SAY’ MEANS YOU ARE NOT SURE OF WHAT YOU SAY AND IF YOU SAY IT YOU ARE EMBRACING FALSITY THAT WILL END IN INSANITY.

If West Ham had won games and were safe from relegation then the owners may not care two hoots about Zola. Thus it is not so much the relationship between owners and manager that is the issue but the flirting with relegation and the dire financial consequences that are at issue and if you perceive relationship is at the heart of the matter you are barking up the wrong tree. As Deng Xiao Ping said, he does care what colour the cat is as long as it catches the mice. Sullivan may not care who the manager is or what relationship it is as long as he delivers safety from relegation.

YOU COULD SAY RELATION BETWEEN MANAGER AND OWNER IS BAD, ‘FAIR TO SAY’ IS A REHASHED NICETY IS NOT ONLY MEANINGLESS BUT DESIGNED TO STIR DOUBT AND UNCERTAINTY UNNECESSARILY. ACTUALLY THE WHOLE SENTENCE IS MEANINGLESS, IS SUPERFLUOUS TO THE DISCUSSION. A LOT OF THINGS EMOTIONAL PEOPLE SAY ARE MEANINGLESS PADDING IRRELEVANT TO THE TOPIC AT HAND AND BECAUSE THEY THINK IT IS IMPORTANT TO DISCUSS THE MANAGER OWNER RELATIONSHIP THEY ARE PRACTICING CONTROLLED MADNESS INCULCATING THE SAME IN OTHERS THAT WILL END IN WOE FOR THEM.

Fair to say God is the highest?

Would it not sound absurd if Jesus was to say it is fair to say God or the Father was the highest?

The Buddha never said it is fair to say that of all beings with no legs, two legs, many legs, formed and unformed He is the highest, He said he is the highest.

THUS YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO SAY ‘FAIR TO SAY’. MAKE SURE YOU SEE WHAT YOU SAY IS TRUE THEN SAY IT.

Still window dressing:

If things are wonderful you do not have to window dress and if you have to window dress it means things are far worse than appear to the public. Hence if big banks are still dressing their windows it means there is lurking future dangers.

There's no great secret that public companies, especially banks, use cosmetic devices to make their published accounts look as attractive as possible.

It's called window dressing - and in the case of banks its aim is normally to persuade investors and creditors that they are not taking excessive risks.

As you'll recall, Lehman - the US investment bank whose demise triggered arguably the worst global banking crisis the world has seen - used a highly questionable accounting device called "Repo 105" to reduce its published assets and debts by a significant $50bn (see my note, "Lehman: how it disguised its frailty").

Now you'd think that in the wake of that banking crisis, banks would abandon their window-dressing habits and share with investors and creditors the true risks they run.

That, it seems, would have been a naive assumption to make.

Data supplied to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York shows that 18 big international banks systematically understated in their published quarterly accounts what they had borrowed to finance securities trading from the repo market (which is where securities can be swapped for short-term loans).

So says this morning's Wall Street Journal.

According to the Journal, the 18 banks that understated their debt levels included all the important ones, such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America and Citigroup - although it doesn't say which were the worst culprits.

The scale of this prettying up of their balance sheets is striking.

The Fed data shows that during the past 15 months, and at the end of each of the five quarterly reporting periods, the published debt used to fund securities speculation of the 18 banks was 42% lower on average than the actual peak levels of their debt in the preceding few weeks.

Or to put it another way, these banks were telling their investors and creditors that they were taking on much less debt (42% less) and much less risk than was actually the case.

That will disturb anyone who believes that the best way to keep banks on the prudent straight-and-narrow is for those who lend and invest in them to have the facts about what they're doing - so that they can instruct banks' management to do the right thing.

The important point is that market discipline on banks is wholly ineffective if the market doesn't have the relevant information.

Many would argue that it shows that the banks have learned almost nothing from the financial cataclysm of 2008.

All the banks would argue that wealth creation is maximised when official regulation is light and markets are liberated to do what markets do best.

But if they are not giving the market the facts that the market needs to sort the banking wheat from the chaff, then there is no alternative to very intrusive and costly regulation by the likes of the New York Fed and Britain's Financial Services Authority.

Arguably, the New York Fed's data shows that when the banks were herded into the last chance saloon at the end of 2008, they were not converted to a life of transparent temperance, but chose instead to drink the bar dry and shoot the place up

Crass impropriety:

It is unlikely that Zahrain who is making his second trip to Washington and Zul who is accompanying Najib are paying their own expenses.

So soon after they both left PKR and lambasted their former parties, they are rewarded with such junkets.

THE SUBSTANCE OF THE MATTER IS THAT IT PROVES THAT THESE PEOPLE WHO LEFT THEIR PARTIES HAVE NO SENSE OF PROPRIETY AND ARE MERCENARIES AND THE RULING ELITE DOES NOT CARE IF THIS DOES NOT GO DOWN WELL WITH THE PUBLIC AND MAY REDOUND NEGATIVELY ON THEM IN THE FUTURE.

 

Zulkifli Noordin, the MP for Kulim Bandar Baru, who made stunning allegations and serious accusations in Parliament on 24 March 2010 is accompanying the Prime Minister to Washington.

The MP for Bayan Baru, Datuk Zahrain Mohamed Hashim, who lambasted Parti Keadilan Rakyat and Anwar in Parliament on 17 March 2010, soon afterwards accompanied Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz, to Washington.

Incidentally, Zahrain is also accompanying Najib to Washington, making it the second trip within a month for him to Washington.

Confidence is never the key to success:

If the measures are correct there is no need for confidence. Confidence only matter if there is deception involved and therefore the measures are not correct and then you need to act confidently to trick recipients of the measures.

IF WHAT YOU SAY OR DO IS APT, TRULY BENEFICIAL AND CORRECT FOR THE SITUATION, THERE IS NO NEED FOR CONFIDENCE WHICH IS ABOUT FORCE AND APPEARANCE. IT IS ONLY WHEN SOMETHING IS WRONG OR USELESS, TOUTED AS A FAKE REMEDY THAT YOU NEED CONFIDENCE OR MAKE BELIEF TO SELL IT TO OTHERS (THE PUBLIC) AND YOURSELF.

THUS HE IS DELUDED AND HEADED FOR INSANITY.

WHATEVER IS TRUE DOES NOT NEED CONFIDENCE AS COMPANION, IT IS ONLY WHATEVER IS FALSE TOUTED AS TRUTH THAT NEEDS CONFIDENCE AS COMPANION.

A good physician does not require confidence:

If you are a true physician who has correctly diagnosed the problem afflicting your patient and has correctly prescribed the treatment what is there to dally with the trickery of ‘confidence’?

On the other hand if you are a quack masquerading as a competent doctor who has incorrectly understood the problem of your patient and is trying to sell him treatment that is unlikely to work and hope the problem cures itself then you need confidence, to act and speak in a confident manner to sell it to the foolish or gullible patient.

THUS IT IS DELUSION AND REFLECTS THE PERSON IS HIMSELF COMPROMISED TO PERCEIVE THAT CONFIDENCE IS AN ESSENTIAL INGREDIENT IN THE TREATMENT OF SOMETHING EG ECONOMIC CRISIS.

When is confidence a key to success?

If what you say or do is rehashed, reeled off from a mental jukebox then you need slick practice and confidence to make it successful.

Thus confidence is essential in games like football, golf and tennis where a lack of confidence or the doubting of your skill or game or ability to pull off a shot perversely exerts pressure for you to flub or ruin the shot and therefore make a mess of it. When the person is confident, he has no doubt or question his ability to execute his shots and so he executes the shot ‘perfectly’ and succeeds.

CONFIDENCE IS NOT DOUBTING YOUR ABILITY AND THIS ‘NOT DOUBTING’ OR NOT USING FORCE TO QUESTION OR ARREST IS CRUCIAL IN THE SUCCESSFUL EXECUTION OF RECORDED SPEECH AND ACTIONS TO BE REPLAYED.

WHATEVER IS REHASHED IS FALSE OR MEANINGLESS AND IT IS THE EXECUTION OF WHAT IS FALSE, REHEARSED TO BE FITTED INTO A PRESENT SITUATION THAT REQUIRES OR BENEFITS FROM CONFIDENCE OR THE ABSENCE OF FORCE DOUBTING AND A GRIM DETERMINATION & DEDICATION TO EXECUTE THAT ACTION.

What is confidence?

Confidence is a force induced state of a mind dwelling in falsity, undertaking falsity in speech and action that he desires to sell to others in which he uses force to shut out all doubt or questioning of what he is saying or doing together with a grim or force driven will to carry through what he wants to say or do that is false and rehearsed according to plans in his mind.

THE OPPOSITE OF CONFIDENCE IS DIFFIDENCE OR A DOUBTING OF YOUR ABILITY TO SAY OR DO SOMETHING. CONFIDENCE IS ALL ABOUT FORCE, USING MENTAL FORCE TO SHUT OUT ALL NAGGING DOUBTING OF WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY OR DO THAT IS FALSE OR HARMFUL OR MEANINGLESS OR YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHILST USING FORCE TO BULLDOZE THROUGH WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY OR DO THAT YOU HAVE REHEARSED AND MEMORIZED SO MANY TIMES BEFORE.

IF WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY OR DO IS TRUE, MEANINGFUL, FULLY UNDERSTOOD BY YOU AND SPECIFIC TO THE OCCASION IT IS IMPOSSIBLE YOU SHOULD HARBOUR ANY DOUBTS AND THEREFORE THERE IS NO NEED TO USE FORCE TO BRUSH ASIDE DOUBTS AND BULLDOZE WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY OR DO BLINDLY.

Confidence is the lifeblood and scourge of stylish people:

When the stylish person is confidently dishing out what he is saying or doing that he and others tell him is a perfect fit to the occasion, is witty and intelligent he feels on top of the world but when his confidence is shaken then even little things he questions himself and then life becomes like hell and he may even have a nervous breakdown.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANYONE TO SEE WHAT IS SAID OR DONE THAT HAS SUBSTANCE AND STYLE THAT IS REHASHED TO FIT AN OCCASION TO BE TRUE, MEANINGFUL OR BENEFICIAL BECAUSE IT IS UNIVERSALLY FALSE OR A FAKE, MEANINGLESS AND HARMFUL AND SO ANYONE WHO SPEAKS AND MOVES WITH STYLE MUST HARBOUR DOUBTS ABOUT HIS SPEECH AND ACTIONS THAT MUST ALWAYS BE SUPPRESSED SO THAT HE CAN CARRY IT OUT CONFIDENTLY AS IF TRUE, MEANINGFUL OR BENEFICIAL BUT NO MATTER HOW WELL SUPPRESSED, THOSE DOUBTS ARE LURKING AND TENDS TO REAR UP OFTEN AT AWKWARD MOMENTS TO HAUNT THE STYLISH PERSON AND WHEN HIS CONFIDENCE IS SERIOUSLY SHAKENED, HE FACES A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN.

IT IS ONLY WHEN THINGS YOU SAY OR DO HAS A SIMULTANEOUS COMBO OF SUBSTANCE AND STYLE (STRETCHED SYLLABLES, CHANGING SPEED & LOUDNESS) THAT NEED TO BE REPRODUCED FROM MEMORY THAT YOU NEED CONFIDENCE, THE CASTING ASIDE OR SUPPRESSION OF ALL DOUBTING AND THE IMPOSING OF A GRIM DETERMINATION AND LIKING FOR WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY OR DO. SHOULD THAT CONFIDENCE BE SHAKEN FOR SOME REASON THE STYLISH PERSON IS BESET BY DOUBTS, CANNOT FACE THE WORLD.

ONLY WHEN WHAT YOU SAY OR DOES IS REHASHED AND THEREFORE A FAKE DO YOU EXPERIENCE DOUBT THAT MUST BE SUPPRESSED AND BE SUBSTITUTED BY CONFIDENCE, IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF TRUTH WHO FULLY UNDERSTANDS WHAT HE IS SAYING OR DOING, CONFIDENCE AND DIFFIDENCE DOES NOT APPLY.

Consumer confidence:

If what consumers buy are essential, necessary and meaningful then it is not a matter for confidence and to speak of consumer confidence is meaningless. It is only because a large proportion of what consumers buy is discretionary, non-essential, extravagant and can be forsaken or dispensed that consumer confidence is a valid consideration.

IF WHATEVER PEOPLE CONSUME IS ESSENTIAL OR NECESSARY THEN CONSUMER CONFIDENCE DOES NOT COME INTO PLAY, IT IS BECAUSE A BIG PART OF WHAT PEOPLE BUY IS EXTRAVAGANT, FOR EXCESSIVE OR WASTEFUL CONSUMPTION THAT CONSUMER CONFIDENCE HAS A BEARING ON CONSUMPTION.

BECAUSE CONSUMER CONFIDENCE APPLIES IN THE MODERN WORLD IT REFLECTS THAT A SIZEABLE PROPORTION OF CONSUMPTION IS SUPERFLUOUS OR WASTEFUL AND THERE IS ROOM FOR MUCH COLLAPSE OF DEMAND WITH DEVASTATING EFFECT ON THE ECONOMY SHOULD THINGS GO BAD.

CONFIDENCE IS ABOUT HOW A PERSON DOES OR SAY SOMETHING. HOW SOMEBODY DOES OR SAY SOMETHING IS ABOUT STYLE OR HOW HE USES FORCE AND THAT IS ALWAYS MEANINGLESS OR FALSE SO CONFIDENCE IS ABOUT SOMETHING MEANINGLESS OR FALSE.

THUS CONSUMER CONFIDENCE IS ABOUT HOW EXTRAVAGANT OR PROFLIGATE CONSUMERS SPEND, THE MORE CONFIDENT THE MORE PROFLIGATE AND SO IT IS ABOUT STYLE OR FALSITY.

Consumer confidence is about falsity never truth:

Consumer confidence is a measure of consumer’s profligacy and profligacy is about something wasteful or meaningless and so consumer confidence is a measure of consumer’s falsity, the more confident, the more profligate or false the consumption.

Because this world perceives consumer confidence as something meaningful or good for the economy, it has false perception because consumer confidence is a measure of profligacy, it is unsustainable and actually bad for the economy because it exposes the economy to bouts of excesses interspersed with crises and collapse of demand.

CONFIDENCE DOES NOT APPLY, HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING THAT IS TRUE, MEANINGFUL AND BENEFICIAL. CONFIDENCE ONLY APPLIES TO SOMETHING THAT IS FALSE, MEANINGLESS OR HARMFUL THAT MUST BE DONE AGAINST SELF RESISTANCE OR DOUBTING.

Only false consumption is subject to confidence:

Whatever consumption that is essential or necessary is not subject to confidence. It is only consumption that is false, wasteful, dispensable that is subject to confidence, to mood, to exuberance.

Thus consumer confidence is a measure of profligacy not true or good spending.

What is confidence?

Confidence is a force induced state of the mind and a way of doing things that is generated by a mechanical consistency of saying or doing something (a posture of the body and face too is a form of deed) that stems from repeated practice to perfect rendition by rote and the determined casting aside all doubts and resolute will to carry the rehashed memorized speech or action.

Because the speech or action is rehashed, it is a fake and so there must be doubt or resistance which must be suppressed using force together with a grim force driven devotion or will to carry out the plan of speech or action.

Because this confidence is sustained by force, force suppressing doubts that must arise, it is not indefinitely sustainable because force flags or tires or must fade and with the fading of force the confident person becomes stricken with diffidence, doubts and recriminations.

THUS THERE ARE TWO COMPONENTS OF CONFIDENCE THAT IS ALWAYS NECESSARY IF ONE WAS A REHASHING ROBOT:

FIRSTLY ONE NEED REPEATED EVEN OBSESSED PRACTICE UNTIL THE SPEECH AND ACTION CAN BE SLICKLY RENDERED EVEN WITHOUT THINKING OR PAYING ATTENTION TO RETRIEVE FROM MEMORY AND SECONDLY THE USE OF FORCE TO SUPPRESS ALL DOUBTS OR RESISTANCE THAT MUST ARISE BECAUSE REHASHED BEHAVIOR IS A HARMFUL DANGEROUS FAKE AND A GRIM FORCE DRIVEN WILL TO CARRY OUT ‘COME WHAT MAY’ WHAT ONE WANTS TO SAY OR DO THAT IS REHASHED ACCORDING TO A PLAN.

CONFIDENCE IS ONLY NECESSARY IF WHAT ONE SAYS OR DOES IS FALSE, MEANINGLESS OR HARMFUL ACCORDING TO REHASHED PLANS AND IT CANNOT BE SUSTAINED INDEFINITELY AND SO THE PERSON MUST BE WRACKED BY PERIODIC DOUBT AND UNCERTAINTY THAT IS A FETTER TO FUTURE WOE ACCORDING TO THE BUDDHA.

IF WHAT ONE WANTS TO SAY OR DO IS TRUE, MEANINGFUL AND BENEFICIAL AND NOT REHASHED THEN THERE IS NO NEED FOR CONFIDENCE. CONFIDENCE IS THE COMPANION OF FALSITY AND HARMFULNESS AND SO ANYONE WHO ADMIRES CONFIDENCE OR POISE IN SELF AND OTHERS IS DELUDED, HEADED FOR WOE.

The purpose of confidence is to impress & deceive:

If there is such a thing called confidence it must be clearly definable as such and such and it must have purpose.

And so it is that the purpose of confidence is to impress others and to deceive.

A person puts on a (fabricated) confident image of his gait, postures, what he says and does and how he says and does with the purpose of impressing others so that they will be attracted to him and he can get what he wants from them or his confident demeanour is to deceive others that what he says or does is true so that he can falsely gain their confidence.

THE PURPOSE OF ACTING CONFIDENT IS TO (FALSELY) IMPRESS OR DECEIVE OTHERS. THERE ARE NO WHOLESOME PURPOSES FOR CONFIDENCE, IT IS ARTIFICIALLY FABRICATED FOR EVIL PURPOSES.

Icelandic authorities 'negligent' over banking collapse

Leading Icelandic figures, including ex-Prime Minister Geir Haarde, are guilty of "negligence", a report into the Icelandic banking crisis has said.

Krugman adopted a position opposite Volcker regarding reforms following the financial meltdown.

Volcker proposed breaking up the banks so that they are not too big to fail and have a finger in every pie.

Krugman disagreed and said it is OK for big banks but they must be regulated more.

The Icelandic collapse indicates it is not so much the lack of regulation that caused the collapse but the dereliction of duty and cronyism that led to collapse.

AND SO KRUGMAN MAY BE DELUDED THAT MORE REGULATION IS THE ANSWER. WHILST REGULATIONS NEED TO BE BOLSTERED AND POLICED BANKS SHOULD BE BROKEN UP INTO SMALLER ENTITIES SO THAT A FEW CORRUPTED BOSSES DO NOT HAVE AN EMPIRE TO CONTROL AND DEVASTATE. EVEN AFTER BREAKING UP BANKS, THEY CAN STILL CONNIVE TO BE CORRUPT BUT THEN IT REQUIRES MORE COOPERATION BETWEEN SEPARATE BANKS THAT ARE MORE DIFFICULT TO EXECUTE.

Acting confident:

There are two ways of acting confident in what you say or do.

One way is to add more force in prolonging, changing speed and strength to what you say or do. This added extra force is perceived by those with false perception as reflecting genuineness and enjoyment.

The other way is to do or say something as if you are enjoying it, your mental force is stirred attractively or you like what you are saying or doing and because this world perceives falsely that if a person is enjoying or liking what he is saying or doing, it must be true and good when it is all a fake.

THUS PEOPLE ACT CONFIDENT BY ADDING MORE FORCE TO WHAT THEY SAY OR DO AND THEY TRY TO GIVE AN IMPRESSION THAT THEIR MENTAL FORCES ARE STIRRED ATTRACTIVELY OR THEY ENJOY WHAT THEY ARE SAYING OR DOING WHICH IS PERCEIVED AS INDICATING WHAT THEY SAY OR DO IS TRUE, GOOD AND PLEASURABLE.

Making it look easy and suppressing nervousness:

There are other ploys for people who want to act confident as when a young actor starts his career on the silver screen who may be intimidated by the big stars around him.

One way is to act as if it is easy or casual, as if he can do and say the things effortlessly without paying attention or ‘off the cuff’.

Another way of acting confident is to suppress or hide your nervousness, some people are better than others at hiding nervousness. It is impossible to truly hide nervousness, the discerning observer can detect it but the gullible can be taken in by failing to detect the suppressed nervousness.

CASUALNESS IS PERCEIVED AS CONFIDENCE AND SO SOME PEOPLE ACT CONFIDENT BY DOING AND SAYING THINGS AS IF IT IS VERY CASUAL OR OLD HAT OR DOES NOT REQUIRE ATTENTION.

THE OTHER WAY IS TO SUMMON FORCE TO SUPPRESS SIGNS OF NERVOUSNESS LIKE TREMBLING VOICE, HANDS AND TWITCHING OR RESTLESSNESS SO AS TO GIVE A SEMBLANCE OF ENFORCED CALM.

Bernanke stresses need for financial literacy

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said on Tuesday that it was more important than ever for people to become financially knowledgeable so they can make sound decisions after the losses of recent years.

You and Bernanke see nothing wrong with his statement, think it is sensible and true when that may not be case.

Whatever that can happen or is presented to a person can be determined objectively as true or false, meaningful or meaningless, harmful or beneficial.

Thus even in the past, when ‘complex’ ‘abstruse’ instruments like CDS was presented to the attention of a discerning person he can straightaway determine it as true or false, meaningful or meaningless, harmful or beneficial.

Thus if all the regulators like Bernanke failed to understand these new instruments then or understood them as true, meaningful and good when they are the opposite then it is not the instruments that are to be blamed for their wrong understanding but their delusion and if they are deluded then, without true change they will still be deluded today and so all the new efforts to improve financial literacy is deluded.

You need force to stress and force that is blind is the wrong tool to call up to improve financial literacy.

IT IS NOT SO MUCH THESE NEW FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS ARE DIFFICULT OR TOO ABSTRUSE TO UNDERSTAND AS THE LACK OF TRUE UNDERSTANDING OR DELUSION THAT IS THE CAUSE OF FAILURE TO UNDERSTAND IN THE PAST AND WITHOUT ABOLISHING DELUSION OR FALSE PERCEPTION IN BERNANKE THERE CAN BE NO TRUE UNDERSTANDING NOW AS THEN.

What do you mean by financial literacy?

Literacy means the ability to read or write eg in a language like Hindi or Spanish. This literacy has nothing to do with understanding, to be literate in a language means to be successfully programmed to encode and decode in that language and thus by financial literacy Bernanke means or does not realize he is calling for a need for encoding and decoding in modern finance.

BY LITERACY BERNANKE MAY BE REFERRING TO UNDERSTANDING IN WHICH CASE HE IS SPEAKING FALSELY BECAUSE LITERACY DOES NOT MEAN UNDERSTANDING BUT SUCCESSFUL CODING AND DECODING IN MODERN FINANCE THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE UNDERSTANDING, HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH UNDERSTANDING AND WILL THEREFORE NOT PREVENT A RECURRENCE OF THE PAST CRISIS. 

YOU CAN BE AS LITERATE AS YOU LIKE IN THE LEXICON OF MODERN FINANCE BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU UNDERSTAND A THING NOR WOULD IT LEAD TO PREVENTION OF THE NEXT CRISIS.

TRYING TO BE CLEVER, PEOPLE USE HIGH SOUNDING WORDS LIKE ‘LITERACY’ WHEN THEY MEAN UNDERSTANDING BUT EVEN IF HE MEANT UNDERSTANDING IT IS DELUSIONAL BECAUSE IF YOU ARE DELUDED IN YOUR UNDERSTANDING IN THE PAST THEN WITHOUT ERADICATING THAT DELUSION YOU CAN NEVER HOPE TO TRULY UNDERSTAND MODERN FINANCE. THUS IF YOU PERCEIVE CDS AS A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS INSTRUMENT BUT USEFUL WHEN IT IS DANGEROUS AND SERVES NO USE EXCEPT HARM OR CHEATING THEN THERE IS NO HOPE THAT YOU WILL EVER UNDERSTAND MODERN FINANCE.

What has financial literacy got to do with it?

Why is Bernanke stressing for the need for financial literacy or the ability to read and write and converse or communicate in modern economics?

It is not per se financial literacy or the ability to read and write and communicate in modern finance that will enable you to steer the financial system through dangerous straits but it is the true understanding of the nature of these new instruments eg as false legitimized cheating or hiving off of dangerous risks to others or the public to be banned that is relevant.

IF YOU PERCEIVE FINANCIAL LITERACY (AN ABILITY TO CONVERSE OR COMMUNICATE IN MODERN FINANCE) IS THE SAME AS TRUE FINANCIAL UNDERSTANDING, TRULY UNDERSTANDING THE NATURE OF MODERN FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS AS TRUE OR FALSE (CHEATING) THEN YOU MAY HAVE TRUE PERCEPTION OR YOU ARE DELUDED OR CARELESS.

JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE VERY LITERATE IN MODERN FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS, YOU KNOW THE DEFINITIONS FOR EACH DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL TRULY UNDERSTAND THE NATURE OF MODERN FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS.

True understanding is something you have or don’t:

Understanding is something a person either has or does not have, it cannot be trained or taught, he either sees truly as it is or he does not. If he does not see things truly it is because of the force acting on his mind that makes him not see and no matter what else is done, so long as the force acts on the mind, he cannot see things truly as it is.

Thus unless he is unaware of something or it is not brought to his attention, if something is brought to the attention of someone who truly understands, he immediately understands truly as it is. If a person is under the influence of force, no matter how many times he sees something or it is brought to his attention he does not understand.

THUS THERE IS NO POINT TALKING ABOUT THE NEED FOR UNDERSTANDING MODERN FINANCE, IT IS USELESS TALKING ABOUT SEEING TO THOSE WHO ARE BLIND. AND BEING LITERATE ABOUT FINANCIAL MATTERS TOO IS IRRELEVANT, USELESS, DOES NOT LEAD TO TRUE UNDERSTANDING.

Whatever reflected in a warped mirror is warped:

Whatever is reflected in a warped mirror is warped and based on the warped received image you have a warp understanding.

Whatever is reflected in an unwarped mirror is unwarped and based on that unwarped image received, true understanding is possible.

IT IS TRUE UNDERSTANDING & NOTHING ELSE, NOT LITERACY THAT IS THE REQUISITE TO SEE TRULY THE FINANCIAL STATE AND FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS LIKE CDS AND SEEING TRULY TO NEGOTIATE A WAY OUT IF POSSIBLE. TRUE UNDERSTANDING REQUIRES THAT THE PERSON’S MENTAL MIRROR BE UNWARPED. AS LONG AS HIS MIRROR IS WARPED BY MENTAL FORCE, WHATEVER IS REFLECTED IS WARPED AND TRUE UNDERSTANDING IS IMPOSSIBLE AND THERE IS NO WAY OUT IN SOLVING FINANCIAL PROBLEMS EVEN IF IT IS POSSIBLE.

Why Bernanke’s statement is false:

Bernanke is said to stress the need for financial literacy.

If there are serious even crippling financial problems existing, it is true understanding of their exact natures and correct actions based on that understanding (and nothing else) that is the cure for the crisis.

Bernanke spoke of the need for literacy and that is not understanding and therefore not the answer to current financial problems.

True understanding is not something that can be learnt or trained and therefore there is no point talking about it or calling for it.

Mankind has no true understanding of the current economic and financial crisis because their perception like a warped mirror is warped and without the mirror being freed of its warpness there can be no true understanding and therefore no true or correct solution to current economic crisis and therefore his call for more financial literacy is meaningless and false.

Why literacy is not the answer:

Jesus listed pride as one of the many sins. He said: For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a man.

There are many serious Christians including the clergy who routinely speak of their pride for this and that.

IT IS NOT A QUESTION OF ILLITERACY, THEY ARE LITERATE BUT IT DOES NOT STOP THEM FROM NOT UNDERSTANDING AND RECOGNIZING THEIR SIN AND PROMOTION OF SIN IN OTHERS IN EXALTING THEIR PRIDE.

Again Jesus said ‘Woe to you who laugh for you shall weep’ yet Christians laugh with abandon and don’t understand why laughter leads infallibly to weeping (because it is rehashed, for show, meaningless and subjects the mind to violent force that slowly destroys it).

Yet again Jesus said, let your yes be yes, anything more comes from evil. Christians are kidding themselves if they think they let their yes be yes only because they say and do much more that they think comes from good but is evil.

MANY OF THOSE WHO RECEIVED MY EMAILS ARE HIGHLY LITERATE YET FROM THEIR BEHAVIOUR I SEE THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT I SAY. THUS LITERACY DOES NOT EQUATE TO UNDERSTANDING AND IT IS UNDERSTANDING THAT IS KEY TO SOLVING ANY PROBLEM.

EVEN IF BERNANKE IS NOT LITERATE ABOUT THE LEXICON OF MODERN HIGH FINANCE THERE ARE MANY WHO ARE WELL VERSED, WHO CAN GIVE YOU DEFINITIONS FOR ALL THE INSTRUMENTS OF MODERN FINANCE OUT THERE BUT READING WHAT THEY SAY, I CAN SEE THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND OR HAVE FALSE UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IS FALSE AND NONSENSE IS TRUE AND MEANINGFUL.

IT IS NEVER LITERACY THAT IS CRUCIAL BUT IT IS UNDERSTANDING THAT IS ESSENTIAL TOWARDS SOLVING ANY PROBLEMS AND SO BERNANKE IS TALKING NONSENSE.

Harrowing photos:

Quote: Harrowing photographs have emerged of emergency workers removing dust-covered dead infants from rubble.

It is not the photos that are harrowing and so the statement is false as a result of false perception. It is the person’s stirred emotion on sight of the photos that make them harrowing, the photos are just that, neither harrowing nor not harrowing.

A person whose mind is truly effortlessly, force free stilled is not harrowed by anything seen or heard. Emotional people can use force to restrain their horror but it is enforced, fabricated calm that is unstable and subject to loss of control.

A PERSON WHOSE MIND IS EFFORTLESSLY STILLED, WHOSE MENTAL FORCE CANNOT BE STIRRED BY WHATEVER IS HAPPENING IS NOT STRICKEN BY HORROR AT WHATEVER IS SEEN OR HEARD. EMOTIONAL PEOPLE CAN FABRICATE A FORCE CONTROLLED LACK OF HORROR BUT IT IS FALSE, CONTRIVED AND SUBJECT TO LOSS OF CONTROL.

IT REFLECTS FALSE PERCEPTION THAT EMOTIONAL PEOPLE PERCEIVE PHOTOS AS HORRIFYING BECAUSE IT IS NOT THE PHOTOS THAT HORRIFY BUT THEIR STIRRED MENTAL FORCE THAT MAKES IT SO.

Forced and force free honesty:

There is a case that a person is driven by force (liking or pride) to be honest. He is even obsessively scrupulously honest but it is not reason or understanding but driven by force, attraction for honesty and this is a lower form of honesty.

There is a case someone has no urge or drive or force to be dishonest or cheat, he sees and understands dishonesty is stressful, demands deceit and fabrication and so he has no urge or drive or force to be dishonest. This is the higher reasoned or understanding honesty.

Similarly there are some who are obsessively chaste, they have a liking for sexual chastity but it is driven by force, attraction for chastity and repulsion for being unchaste.

There is the true chastity where the person has no urge to be unchaste.

THUS VIRTUE CAN BE DRIVEN BY FORCE OR LIKING OR IT CAN BE GUIDED BY REASON, THE PERSON HAS NO URGE TO BE UNVIRTUOUS. THE LATTER IS THE HIGHER.
