Up to 60,000 eternities without dying:

An eternity or forward world cycle is a very long time according to the Buddha. If you filled a room with mustard seeds and took out one seed every 100 years then after taking out all the seeds, an eternity still has not ended. The life spans of the gods in the higher reaches of heaven are fixed at 1, 2, 4, 500, 20 thousand, 40 thousand and 60 thousand eternities.

3. Pañhamananakaraõasuttaü - The first on diversity.

013.03. Bhikkhus, these four persons are evident in the world. What four?

Here, bhikkhus, a certain person secluding from sensual desires and demeritorious thoughts, with thoughts and discursive thoughts and with joy and pleasantness born of seclusion attains to the first higher state of mind (serenity of mind and body that is impossible without abolishing style or the use of force to stretch syllables, change speed and loudness). Enjoying it, longing for it, he attains prosperity in it. Keenly applying himself to it, making much of it and not decreasing from it, he dies and is born with the gods of the sphere of Brahma (the father’s kingdom). The life span of those gods is a forward world cycle. Finishing his complete life span there, he would either be born in hell, as a beast, or as a ghost. As for the noble disciples of The Blessed One, they would finish the complete life span there and would extinguish in that same birth. Bhikkhus, this is the difference and diversity between the learned noble disciple and the not learned ordinary man in their course of action, birth and conscience

Again, bhikkhus, a certain person overcoming thoughts and discursive thoughts and internally appeasing the mind making it one pointed without thoughts and discursive thoughts and with joy and pleasantness born of concentration attains to the second higher state of mind. Enjoying it, longing for it he attains prosperity in it. Keenly applying himself to it, making much of it, not decreasing from it he dies and is born with the gods of Radiance. The life span of those gods is two forward world cycles. Finishing his complete life span there, he would either be born in hell, as a beast, or as a ghost. As for the noble disciples of The Blessed One, they would finish the complete life span there and would extinguish in that same birth. Bhikkhus, this is the difference and diversity between the learned noble disciple and the not learned ordinary man in their course of action, birth and conscience

Again, bhikkhus, a certain person with equanimity to joy and detachment abides mindfull and aware experiencing pleasantness with the body tooòo this the noble ones say mindfull abiding in pleasantness with equanimity (neither liking nor disliking). He attains to this third higher state of mind. Enjoying it, longing for it he attains prosperity in it. Keenly applying himself to it, making much of it and not decreasing he dies and is born with the lustrous gods. The life span of those gods is four forward world cycles. Finishing his complete life span there, he would either be born in hell, as a beast, or as a ghost. As for the noble disciples of The Blessed One, they would finish the complete life span there and would extinguish in that same birth. Bhikkhus, this is the difference and diversity between the learned noble disciple and the not learned ordinary man in their course of action, birth and conscience

Again, bhikkhus, a certain person dispelling pleasantness and unpleasantness, and earlier having dispelled pleasure and displeasure without unpleasantness and pleasantness and purifying mindfulness with equanimity attains to the fourth higher state of mind (neither pain nor pleasure). Enjoying it, longing for it he attains prosperity in it. Keenly applying himself to it, making much of it and not decreasing he dies and is born with the gods of Space. The life span of those gods is five hundred forward world cycles. Finishing his complete life span there, he would either be born in hell, as a beast, or as a ghost. As for the noble disciples of The Blessed One, they would finish the complete life span there and would extinguish in that same birth. Bhikkhus, this is the difference and diversity between the learned noble disciple and the not learned ordinary man in their course of action, birth and conscience

These are the criteria for a life span of 20, 40 & 60 thousand world cycles:

Here, bhikkhus, a certain person overcoming all perceptions of matter and going beyond perceptions of anger, not attending to various perceptions, [1] With boundless space attains to the sphere of space. He becomes fully satisfied in it, strives after it and prospers in it. Becoming intent on it and making much of it, without falling away from it, he dies and is born with the gods of the sphere of space. The gods of the sphere of space have a life span of twenty thousand forward world cycles. An ordinary person having completed that life span would go even to hell, the animal world or be born with the ghosts. As for the disciples of the Blessed One, completing that life span would extinguish in that same birth. Bhikkhus, this is the difference and the peculiarity in the course of action, birth and conscience of the noble disciple and the ordinary person.

Again, bhikkhus, a certain person overcoming all the sphere of space With boundless consciousness attains to the sphere of consciousness. He becomes fully satisfied in it, strives after it and prospers in it. Becoming intent on it and making much of it, without falling away from it, he dies and is born with the gods of the sphere of consciousness. The gods of the sphere of consciousness have a life span of forty thousand forward world cycles. An ordinary person having completed that life span would go even to hell, the animal world or be born with the ghosts. As for the disciples of the Blessed One, completing that life span would extinguish in that same birth. Bhikkhus, this is the difference and the peculiarity in the course of action, birth and conscience of the noble disciple and the ordinary person.

Again, bhikkhus, a certain person overcoming all the sphere of consciousness, with there is nothing attains to the sphere of no-thingness. He becomes fully satisfied in it, strives after it and prospers in it. Becoming intent on it and making much of it, without falling away from it, he dies and is born with the gods of the sphere of no thingness. The gods of the sphere of no-thingness have a life span of sixty thousand forward world cycles. An ordinary person having completed that life span would go even to hell, the animal world or be born with the ghosts. As for the disciples of the Blessed One, completing that life span would extinguish in that same birth. Bhikkhus, this is difference and the peculiarity in the course of action, birth and conscience of the noble disciple and the ordinary person. Bhikkhus, these three persons are evident in the world.

In the lower reaches of heaven the life spans are shorter:

Visakha, fifty years of a human's life is one night and day for the four guardian gods. Thirty of those is a month and twelve of those months a year. Five hundred of those years is the life span of the guardian gods. It may happen that a woman or man having observed the eight precepts on a full moon day, after death is born in the company of the four guardian gods Visàkha, it was on account of this that it was said, human pleasure is vile, when compared to celestial pleasure.

Visakha, a hundred years of a human's life is one night and day for the company of the thirty-three gods. Thirty of those is a month and twelve of those months a year. A thousand of those celestial years is the life span for the company of the thirty-three gods. It may happen that a woman or man having observed the eight precepts on a full moon day, after death is born in the company of the thirty-three gods Visàkha, it was on account of this that it was said, human pleasure is vile, when compared to celestial pleasure.

Visakha, two hundred years of a human's life is one night and day for the Titan gods. Thirty of those is a month and twelve of those months a year. Two thousand of those celestial years is the life span of the Titan gods. It may happen that a woman or man having observed the eight precepts on a full moon day, after death is born in the company of the Titan gods Visàkha, it was on account of this that it was said, human pleasure is vile, when compared to celestial pleasure.

Visakha, four hundred years of a human's life is one night and day for the gods of happiness. Thirty of those is a month and twelve of those months a year. Four thousand of those celestial years is the life span of the gods of happiness. It may happen that a woman or man having observed the eight precepts on a full moon day, after death is born in the company of the gods of happiness Visàkha, it was on account of this that it was said, human pleasure is vile, when compared to celestial pleasure.

Visakha, eight hundred years of a human's life is one night and day for the gods attached to creation. Thirty of those is a month and twelve of those months a year. Eight thousand of those celestial years is the life span of the gods attached to creation. It may happen that a woman or man having observed the eight precepts on a full moon day, after death is born in the company of the gods attached to creation Visàkha, it was on account of this that it was said Visàkha, human pleasure is vile, when compared to celestial pleasure.

Visakha, sixteen hundred years of a human's life is one night and day for the gods attached to creating others. Thirty of those is a month and twelve of those months a year. Sixteen thousand of those celestial years is the life span of the gods attached to the creation of others.. It may happen that a woman or man having observed the eight precepts on a full moon day, after death is born in the company of the gods attached to the creation of others Visàkha, it was on account of this that it was said Visàkha, human pleasure is vile, when compared to celestial pleasure.

Do not,destroy life, take the not given, tell lies or take intoxicants.

Lead the holy life, abstain from sexual relations.

Do not eat at night or at untimely hours

Do not bear flowers or scents. The bed is the floor, cover it as you like.

These are the eight precepts for the full moon day

The Blessed One declared them to end unpleasantness.

The moon and sun shine unhinded dispelling the darkness in the sky.

If any wealth is seen within, such as pearls, gems, lapis gold and metal

They are not worth one fourth or even one sixteenth part

To observing the eight precepts on the full moon day

Therefore doing merit that give pleasantness, win a place in heaven.

The key to heaven is firstly virtue then higher states of the mind:

Notice that in the lower reaches of formed heavens, the life spans although considerable is much shorter than those of the higher reaches.

What determines birth in the lower reaches of heaven is virtue viz.

Do not destroy life, take the not given, tell lies or take intoxicants.

Lead the holy life, abstain from sexual relations.

Do not eat at night or at untimely hours

Do not bear flowers or scents. The bed is the floor, cover it as you like.

The key to the higher reaches of heaven is attainment of the four higher states of mind. A person must attain the fourth higher state of mind (neither pain nor pleasure) before he can attain to sphere of the infinitude of space, consciousness and nothingness that gives 20, 40 & 60 thousand eternities in bliss.

The misguided and the deluded:

Amongst the victims of Merapi’s eruption was the bomoh who was supposed to have rapport with the spirits of the mountain and could tell people when it was time to leave and people who went to persuade him to leave.

If you are deluded, you can lose your life as the bomoh did because he was stubborn and refused to leave, perhaps thinking he really has supernatural powers or he is too proud to be told to leave by scientists.

If you are misguided you will think you are doing good to go persuade the deluded from leaving and in the process lose your life.

IT IS NOT BLAMELESS BEING MISGUIDED AND YOU CAN LOSE YOUR LIFE DOING MISGUIDED THINGS LIKE GOING TO PERSUADE THE DELUDED TO LEAVE.

THE BOMOH NOT ONLY LOST HIS LIFE THROUGH DELUSION, HE IS RESPONSIBLE PARTIALLY FOR THE DEATHS OF THE MISGUIDED WHO CAME TO PERSUADE HIM.

Do not live on the charity of your neighbours:

Sounds very nice and self righteous but it is false intending to shame people to pay their share for community security.

What kind of charity is it that you are upset when people do not contribute? Thus it is hypocritical or false to suggests it is charity which is not involved at all, what people are concerned is their own security and they are upset that others do not pay up like them.

THERE IS DEADLY KARMA FOR THOSE RESPONSIBLE, THEY ARE MISREPRESENTING THEMSELVES AS CHARITABLE WHEN THEY ARE MERELY CONCERNED ABOUT THEIR OWN SECURITY AND UPSET OTHERS DO NOT PAY AS THEY PAY. THERE IS NO NEED TO TALK ABOUT CHARITY BUT IF YOU DO, YOU WILL BE JUDGED IF IT TURNS OUT CHARITY IS NOT INVOLVED.

Away from the hustle and bustle of city life:

“Hustle and bustle” rhymes and was coined by someone and it is never an accident that it reappears so often in so many different people but it is copied and rehashed and the person is a rehashing robot who wants to impress others with his stylish speech.

‘AWAY FROM THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE’ IS DEFINITELY REHASHED AND IS A FALSE STYLE OF SPEECH AND JUST AS PEOPLE DO NOT REALIZE IT IS REHASHED HERE, ALWAYS WHATEVER PEOPLE SAY OR DO ARE ACCORDING TO REHASHED PLANS IN THEIR MINDS AND THEY ARE ROBOTS DOOMED TO ROBOT FAILURE AND INSANITY.

The sound of music and the path to torment:

It is impossible for anyone to specifically live do the things she is doing simultaneously, running, singing and expressing with her face and arms and so it must be rehearsed and rendered by rehash from memory in which she becomes the robot of the program in her mind telling her what to do just as a tape recorder replays whatever songs that are on tape.

Automatically the first higher state of mind:

How can a person have the first higher state of mind if he is constantly unnecessarily for show stirring his mental force to stretch, change speed and strength that creates renewing insoluble stress, restlessness and distraction?

It is impossible that a person beset by renewing, insoluble stress, restlessness and inability to concentrate should have the first higher state of mind.

As soon as the person has successfully weaning himself off the constant mindless use of force to prolong, change speed and strength he is automatically imbued with a release from stress, restlessness and distraction that is the first higher state of mind and if he dwells much in this state he is headed, according to the Buddha, for one eternity in heaven.

Subsequently should he train and succeed in switching off thinking so that he dwells with a singleness of his mind, he is destined for two eternities in heaven.

Should he next succeed in training himself to neither stir his mental force attractively or repulsively at whatever is happening, he is headed for 4 eternities in heaven.

Should he further tune his consciousness to not receive pain or pleasure, he is headed for 500 eternities in heaven.

A person who has not attained the first higher state of the mind but has practiced true virtue (not destroying life, taking the not given, telling lies or taking intoxicants, abstaining from sexual relations, eating at night or at untimely hours, bearing flowers or scents, sleeping on the floor) is headed for even millions of years but not an eternity in heaven.

Anyone with half a brain:

Anyone with half a brain can see that Germany is a rather more credit worthy and naturally inflation proofed country than either the UK or the US, yet the cost of five year money in Germany is now higher.

“Anyone with half a brain” has nothing to do with the subject at hand and it is introduced unnecessarily to deride or mock and because it is unnecessary (only necessary to mock) and he perceives it as relevant he is headed for insanity.

Let’s face it:

“Let’s face it, Singapore is more or less a mature economy, and no country can climb so quickly without paying higher living costs,” said a retired banker.

It is totally unnecessary to say ‘let’s face it’, it is copied from others and rehashed because it is perceived as meaningful and impressive.

If it is true you can ‘not face it’ it means you are a denier, a falsifier, make believer which is not harmless but a sign of dishonesty and path to insanity.

IF YOU THINK ‘LET’S FACE IT’ ADDS MEANING TO WHAT IS SAID YOU MAY BE RIGHT OR YOU HAVE ADVANCED FALSE PERCEPTION THAT ENDS IN MAD PERCEPTION. ‘LET’S FACE IT’ IS HACKNEYED, COPIED AND REHASHED AND SO HE IS A ROBOT HEADED FOR ROBOT FAILURE AND INSANITY. BY ‘LET’S FACE IT’ HE ACTUALLY MEANS TO DRESS DOWN OR REBUKE THE OPPOSITE PARTY AS WRONG.

Teeth exposure:

What they are all doing is exposing their teeth that is a part of smiling. The way each person exposes her teeth is typical or consistent in her and differs from others and this can only come about because it is rehashed automatically by rote according to a plan in their heads.

They are doing work, work has to be done not only to expose teeth thus but maintain or prolong it so that it can be seen and because it is meaningless, serves no useful purpose and it is for show, they are practicing controlled madness.

WITHOUT DOING WORK AND USING FORCE YOU CANNOT EXPOSE YOUR TEETH THUS. NOT ONLY DO PEOPLE EXPOSE THEIR TEETH THUS AS PART OF THEIR SMILES, THEY PROLONG THEIR EXPOSURE USING FORCE (PROLONGING IS THE CAUSE OF SADNESS) AND IT IS MINDLESSLY REHASHED AND THEY ARE ALL ROBOTS.

Why people misunderstand:

The reason people misunderstand is because they do not truly understand. They hear hastily in snapshots and guess from their recorded understandings of what may be meant and apply that understanding and sometimes they guess wrong and so misunderstand.

It is impossible for someone with true understanding to misunderstand others. Whatever is said or done to him, he unfailingly, effortlessly understands as plausible, implausible, true, false or makes no sense.

It is people’s false (recorded rehashed) understanding that they can have (true) understanding for some things but no or difficult understandings of other things eg girls understand art better than science.

True understanding is all or none.

A person of true understanding effortlessly immediately understands whatever is said to him or what he sees or hears as either plausible, implausible, true or false. That does mean he knows everything, there may be many things he does not know but as soon as he sees or hears or is told, he immediately understands it as plausible or implausible, true or false. He sees or hears the emotional undertone of whatever is said that belies what is said and thus knows the motive of the person for saying it.

ONLY A PERSON WITH NO TRUE UNDERSTANDING WHO HEARS IN SNAPSHOTS TO GUESS FROM RECORDED UNDERSTANDINGS CAN MISUNDERSTAND OTHERS.

THERE MAY BE MANY THINGS A PERSON OF TRUE UNDERSTANDING DOES NOT KNOW BUT WHATEVER IS SEEN AND HEARD, TOLD TO HIM, HE IMMEDIATELY UNDERSTANDS IT AS PLAUSIBLE OR IMPLAUSIBLE, TRUE OR FALSE. IT IS THE WRONG VIEW OR UNDERSTANDING OF EMOTIONAL PEOPLE THAT THEY CAN HAVE UNDERSTANDINGS OF SOME THINGS AND DIFFICULTY OR NO UNDERSTANDING OF OTHERS. WHAT THEY CALL UNDERSTANDING IS PROGRAMMING. WHEN THEY HAVE SUCCESSFULLY PROGRAMMED THEMSELVES ON A MATTER TO THE APPROVAL OF SOCIETY OR THEIR TEACHER, THEY FALSELY SATISFY THEMSELVES THEY UNDERSTAND WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN PROGRAMMED.

Rosmah: Listen to the voice of the young

She is telling others what to do, giving advice.

It is not the young or old or middle aged or Chinese or Indian that you should listen to but it is when someone speaks the truth and is wise.

Not very convincing:

She is doing something that is for show, thumbing both hands to express “I like it” or ‘great’ but her expression and gesture is not slick, it reflects that she is not accustomed to doing it, she is only doing it as instructed or groomed. If what I say does not convince you then it may be true what I say is unconvincing or it may the case you are incorrigible, nothing said will convince you and unless you are not suffering or tormented, you are doomed to suffering and torment because there may be nothing that can convince you and so you will stick to your way that is the source of your present suffering.

NOBODY CAN BE CONVINCED ABOUT SIN MORE THAN ONCE, ONCE CONVINCED HE CANNOT BE CONVINCED AGAIN.

Jesus said you will be judged for every careless word you say and it may be true what is said is blameless or true or it may be laced with deadly karma.

You don’t speak of or encourage others to enjoy themselves here unless you want even eternal punishment for yourself.

“Customers are provided with facilities for eating and reading” is the wise and accurate description, “Customers get to enjoy eating and reading” is a foolish way driven by emotion to make much of the situation. Whether people will enjoy eating and reading is another matter even though facilities for eating and reading are provided and so you are presumptuous or false to speak of enjoyment.

Does what I say convince you of sin? If it does not, it may be because you don’t understand or you have wrong view that the Buddha said is the way to hell or the animal womb.

A theory is something you concoct and therefore artificial to try and explain something happening. The wise person does not theorize because he is not greedy to know what he did not and cannot know.
