A simple experiment will prove what happened to MH370:
Even if no one in this world is familiar with the ACARS system, cannot tell you what the ACARS/handshake system can and cannot do, you can conduct a simple experiment whereby you pull out the ACARS connections from under the carpet in the first class section and then you fly that Boeing 777 for a few hours and see if the handshake function still operates and it is possible to locate where the Boeing is based on those handshakes.
IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO DISCONNECT ACARS THROUGH ACCESS UNDER THE CARPET IN THE FIRST CLASS SECTION AND IT IS DEMONSTRATED THE PLANE CAN STILL MAKE HANDSHAKES WITH THE IMMARSAT AND THOSE HANDSHAKES HAVE SUFFICIENT INFORMATION TO LOCATE WHERE THE BOEING WAS AT EACH HANDSHAKE THEN THIS IS CLEAR PROOF MH370 TOOK THE COURSE INDICATED BY THE HANDSHAKES INTO THE INDIAN OCEAN.

How to establish with certainty what happened to MH370:
There should be no mystery or dispute what happened to MH370 if certain details can be established.
Even if the ACARS had been disabled by disconnection, experts should know if the hourly handshakes can still occur, the disabled plane nevertheless communicates with Immarsat and that hourly communication contains location information where the plane is at the moment.
THOSE FAMILIAR WITH THE ACARS/HANDSHAKE SYSTEM SHOULD KNOW IF IT IS POSSIBLE (OR IMPOSSIBLE) FOR THE HANDSHAKE FUNCTION TO CONTINUE EVEN IF THE ACARS HAS BEEN CRIMINALLY DISCONNECTED AND THAT THIS HOURLY HANDSHAKE PROVIDES RELIABLE INFORMATION ABOUT THE LOCATION OF THE PLANE. IF THIS IS THE CASE THEN THE HOURLY HANDSHAKE PATTERN OF MH370 ESTABLISHES IRREFUTABLY THAT AFTER IT DISAPPEARED OVER THE SKIES OF THE GULF OF THAILAND, IT TOOK A FLIGHT PATH DOWN THE INDIAN OCEAN WHICH ENDED WITHIN 550 MILES AFTER THE LOCATION OF THE LAST HANDSHAKE BECAUSE THE PLANE HAS A MAXIMUM CRUISING SPEED OF 550 MPH.
IF IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE HANDSHAKE TO CONTINUE TO FUNCTION WITHOUT ACARS IF IT IS DUE TO FIRE OR STRUCTURAL DAMAGE BUT IT IS POSSIBLE FOR THE HANDSHAKE TO CONTINUE IF THE ACARS IS DISCONNECTED THEN THIS IS PROOF OF CRIMINAL TAMPERING WITH THE SYSTEM.
THERE IS NO NEED TO BE CONFUSED OR GET EMOTIONAL, SURELY EXPERTS FAMILIAR WITH THE ACARS/HANDSHAKE SYSTEM CAN ESTABLISH THE FACTORS ABOVE AND THUS DETERMINE MH370 DID NOT DISAPPEAR MYSTERIOUSLY INTO THIN AIR BUT IT WAS HIJACKED BY AN EXPERT PILOT AND FLOWN TO THE INDIAN OCEAN.
