anyone who is religious is a hypocrite because he still tell ‘white’ lies or
say things without knowing it is true, he gossips, spreads divisive tales,
harms others with speech and action, kills animals (eg cockcroaches), drinks, gambles or bets, laughs, jokes and have dirty minds. Peace and
happiness here and thereafter is the reward of those who practice what they
preach. My current happiness and freedom from suffering is unthinkable in the
past and I know ordinary people have not tasted the happiness I taste and my happiness
and effortless freedom from suffering is testament to the tremendous fruits of
a disciplined virtuous life.
There
is even a permanent escape from death and suffering even if you and everyone
here don’t care, don’t know and won’t escape.
There
is only one escape no other escapes.
The
Buddha spoke of his dharma or teaching and his discipline and without
discipline no one can experience reduction of his suffering here and escape
death and suffering after departure.
THERE
ARE TREMENDOUS BENEFITS OF A HOLY LIFE EVEN DAILY BUT WITHOUT DISCIPLINE,
WITHOUT TRUE VIRTUE (NOT LYING, JOKING, LAUGHING, GOSSIP, GREED AND LUST,
DRINKING, GAMBLING) THERE CANNOT BE ANY GOOD RESULT AND THAT RELIGIOUS MAN IS A
HYPOCRITE.
WHEN
PEOPLE DIE THEY LAPSE INTO COMA BUT FOR THE BUDDHA AND THOSE VERY NOBLE, THEY
RISE IN CONCENTRATION TO THE HIGHEST STATES OF THE MIND AND THEN DEPART FULLY
COMPREHENDING, SORROWLESS AND DEBTLESS.
UNLIKE
ORDINARY PEOPLE THE BUDDHA DID NOT DIE, HE CHOSE A DATE AND LOCATION 3 MONTHS
AFTER THE DEVIL APPROACHED HIM TO LEAVE.
AFTER
THE MONKS HAD NO QUESTIONS FOR HIM, THE BUDDHA ASCENDED FROM THE FIRST TO
SECOND, THIRD, FOURTH HIGHER STATES OF THE MIND THEN THE REALM OF INFINITE
SPACE, INFINITE CONSCIOUSNESS, NOTHINGNESS, NEITHER PERCEIVING NOR NOT
PERCEIVING AND THEN HE DESCENDED DOWN TO THE FIRST HIGHER STATE FOR THE LAST
TIME BEFORE AGAIN ASCENDING TO NEITHER PERCEIVING NOR NOT PERCEIVING AND THEN
HE PASSED TO NIBBANA WHEN THUNDER ROLLED ACROSS THE SKY AND THE EARTH SHOOK.
ALL THE ASSEMBLED HEAVENLY BEINGS IN THE SKY MOURNED HIS PASSING AND NO ONE
COULD LIFT HIS BODY UNTIL HEAVENLY CONDITIONS WERE SATISFIED.
Harry didn’t take it well:
‘HURT’
IS AN EMOTION, A PROGRAMMED STIRRED MENTAL FORCE AS A RESULT OF SOMETHING HEARD
OR SEEN, IT IS SUFFERING, HARMFUL, MEANINGLESS AND A DANGEROUS WRONG
UNDERSTANDING AND RESPONSE TO SOMETHING HAPPENING.
THERE
ARE SIX EMOTIONS, ALL FALSE, MEANINGLESS AND DANGEROUS NAMELY LIKE, DISLIKE,
SAD, HURT, CONFUSION AND FEAR.
What
is referred to is hurt at the words of others and this is about stirred
emotions that is harmful, meaningless and evil.
If
a matter is of truth and good and both parties are unemotional and possess
understanding it is impossible that there can be friction or hurt that is
unpredictable and can flare up leading to animosity even violence.
It
is only because people in this world are not true and good, they are emotional
and saying things to please and impress each other, the matters they talk about
are personal or false material matters that they can sometimes hit on the
others’ sensitive nerves leading to a bust up in which both have blame, one
more than the other.
IF
WHAT YOU SAY IS A MATTER OF TRUTH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE YOU CAN HURT ANOTHER. IT IS
BECAUSE WHAT YOU SAY IS NOT A MATTER OF TRUTH BUT A FALSE MATERIAL OR SENSUAL
OR EMOTIONAL MATTER, SAID FOR A JOKE, TEASING ANOTHER, TO PLEASE AND IMPRESS
THAT IT CAN LEAD TO BUST UPS FOR WHICH BOTH HAVE BLAME.
Virtue or discipline is the foundation that gives high concentration
that gives freedom from suffering and death and high wisdom:
The
Buddha declared that without high virtue or discipline there cannot be high
concentration which is the gateway to happiness and freedom from suffering and
death and without high concentration there can be no great wisdom and
discernment.
The Buddha: "Such and such is virtue;
such and such is concentration; and such and such is wisdom. [9] Great becomes the fruit, great
is the gain of concentration when it is fully developed by virtuous conduct; great
becomes the fruit, great is the gain of wisdom when it is fully developed by
concentration; utterly freed from the taints [10] of lust, becoming, and ignorance is the
mind that is fully developed in wisdom."
WHAT
IS VIRTUE OR DISCIPLINE (NO LIES, NO DIVISIVE TALE BEARING, NO STEALING, NO
ATTACKING OTHERS, NO DRINKING, GAMBLING) CAN BE CLEARLY DEFINED AND IS NOT
SUBJECT TO DISPUTE. WHAT IS HIGH CONCENTRATION CANNOT BE DISPUTED (FIRST IS NO
STYLE, SERENITY OF MIND WITH THINKING, SECOND IS NO THINKING, THIRD IS NO LIKE
AND DISLIKE, FOURTH IS NO PAIN NOR PLEASURE).
IT
IS HIGH CONCENTRATION THAT GIVES HAPPINESS AND FREEDOM FROM SUFFERING AND DEATH
AND THE INDISPENSIBLE FOUNDATION OF CONCENTRATION IS VIRTUE OR DISCIPLINE.
