Don't bet on business to save the economy, experts warn
Those who look to business to be the saviour are deluded.
Business is like opportunists, sharks, when the economy is booming they are jump in to feed, make a killing and when times are bad, they hide in their shells waiting for better times to return so they can resume their feeding.
If you think this type of behaviour will make them saviours then you are deluded. The creed of business is to amass wealth and avoid losses, they feed off the system in the process killing the system so how can they be the Lone Ranger riding to save you?
You are hired to assist the transfer of wealth:
In good times companies and capitalists employ you not for charity, not for community spirit but so that you can assist them in the transfer of wealth from the system to their hands and inevitably a time will come when too little wealth is in the system and too much is in the few and then it is collapse and social mayhem.
The smart and stupid way of avoiding suffering:
The stupid short sighted way to avoid suffering is to seek sources of pleasure and avoid sources of pain or unpleasantness eg in hot weather, to avoid the sun and seek the shade or air conditioner or fan. Rather than based on reason or understanding, it is on blind force, of dislike for unpleasantness (hot sun) and like for the pleasant (shade, air conditioner).
The wise way of avoiding suffering is to avoid creating suffering for yourself here and avoid creating even horrendous eternal suffering after you depart.
How do you do that?
By training yourself not to stretch your syllables, change speed and loudness you are avoiding suffering in terms of stress, restlessness and inability to concentrate that is far greater than the suffering you avoid by avoiding sources of unpleasantness (hot sun, thirst, hunger), pleasantness you gain by seeking (eg cool air of air conditioner, tasty food, sexual pleasures) and you are headed for even an eternity of heavenly bliss free of all suffering as a result of not constantly bombarding others with force in your style.
RPK likes to boast about how he is enjoying his exile in the company of a bevy of European beauties, how idyllic it is wafting in a yacht off a Thai beach. Even that has karma because it is not as wonderful as he makes it out to be, it is the pleasure seeking and pain avoiding principle that is far negated by the horrendous karma he is creating for himself by talking carelessly about Anwar’s trial being fair and Anwar is guilty. If Anwar is not guilty and the trial is rigged, he is asking for even an eternity of perdition that is far worse than whatever fleeting pleasures that he may seek and obtain here.
Even the pleasures are suffering and the seeking is suffering:
It takes effort that lead to stress to seek sources of pleasure and avoid sources of unpleasantness and even the sources of pleasure are suffering in themselves.
The pleasures that people experience is the result of mild to moderate forces received by their senses and no matter how mild, force is harmful and leads to suffering and hence the pleasure they seek also results in suffering.
NO MATTER HOW WONDEROUS THE PLEASURE YOU OBTAIN FROM THE MOST VOLUPTUOUS OR BEGUILING WOMAN IN THE WORLD, WHEN THE LUST IS SPENT, IT LEADS TO A LINGERING DISTASTE EVEN SUFFERING THAT YOU STRUGGLE TO SHAKE OFF. THE AIR CONDITIONER MAY INITIALLY BE LOVELY BUT AFTER A NIGHT OF OVER EXPOSURE, NO MATTER HOW TOUGH YOU ARE, YOU BEGIN TO SUFFER SIDE EFFECTS OF OVER EXPOSURE TO COLD, A FORM OF FORCE BOMBARDMENT. NO MATTER HOW HEAVENLY AND EXPENSIVE AND NUTRITIOUS THE FOOD YOU PAMPER YOURSELF, THE CHEMICAL BATTLES INVOLVE RESULTS IN SUBSEQUENTLY SUFFERING.
HENCE THE SEEKING OF PLEASURES IS SUFFERING, THE AVOIDANCE OF SUFFERING ITSELF IS SUFFERING AND THE PLEASURES THEY SEEK ARE ALSO SUFFERING BECAUSE IT NECESSITATES FORCE EXPOSURE, IT IS THE MILD FORCE RECEIVED THAT IS THE BASIS OF THEIR PLEASURES.

After the stock market crash there was a period of brewing decline which accelerated into anarchy, rise of dictators and mass killings in 1932. 2012 is 80 years and if you understand human nature correctly, bearing in mind Jesus’ description of the close of the Age, history is likely to replay then avoided.

The dawn of a new year is usually a time of hope and ambition, of dreams for the future and thoughts of a better life. But it is a long time since many of us looked forward to the new year with such anxiety, even dread.
Here in Britain, many economists believe that by the end of 2012 we could well have slipped into a second devastating recession. The Coalition remains delicately poised; it would take only one or two resignations to provoke a wider schism and a general election.
But the real dangers lie overseas. In the Middle East, the excitement of the Arab Spring has long since curdled into sectarian tension and fears of Islamic fundamentalism. And with so many of the world’s oil supplies concentrated in the Persian Gulf, British families will be keeping an anxious eye on events in the Arab world.

Meanwhile, as the eurozone slides towards disaster, the prospects for Europe have rarely been bleaker. Already the European elite have installed compliant technocratic governments in Greece and Italy, and with the markets now putting pressure on France, few observers can be optimistic that the Continent can avoid a total meltdown.
As commentators often remark, the world picture has not been grimmer since the dark days of the mid-Seventies, when the OPEC oil shock, the rise of stagflation and the surge of nationalist terrorism cast a heavy shadow over the Western world.
 
For the most chilling parallel, though, we should look back exactly 80 years, to the cold wintry days when 1931 gave way to 1932.

Then as now, few people saw much to mourn in the passing of the old year. It was in 1931 that the Great Depression really took hold in Europe, bringing governments to their knees and plunging tens of millions of people out of work.
Then as now, the crisis had taken years to gather momentum. After the Wall Street Crash in 1929 — just as after the banking crisis of 2008 — some observers even thought that the worst was over.
But in the summer of 1931, a wave of banking panics swept across central Europe. As the German and Austrian financial houses tottered, Britain’s Labour government came under fierce market pressure to slash spending and cut benefits.
Bitterly divided, the Labour leader Ramsay MacDonald decided to resign from office — only to return immediately as the leader of an all-party Coalition known as the National Government, dominated by Stanley Baldwin’s Conservatives.
Like today’s Coalition, the National Government was an uneasy marriage. Sunk in self-pity and spending much of his time flirting with aristocratic hostesses, MacDonald cut a miserable and semi-detached figure. By comparison, even Nick Clegg looks a model of strong, decisive leadership.
As for the Tory leader Stanley Baldwin, he had more in common with David Cameron than we might think. A laid-back Old Harrovian, tolerant, liberal-minded and ostentatiously relaxed, Baldwin spent as much time as possible on holiday in the South of France, preferring to enjoy the Mediterranean sunshine rather than get his hands dirty with the nuts and bolts of policy.
Meanwhile, far from offering a strong and coherent Opposition, the rump Labour Party seemed doomed to irrelevance. At least its leader, the pacifist Arthur Henderson, could claim to be a man of the people, having hauled himself up by his bootstraps from his early days as a Newcastle metal worker.
Not even his greatest admirers could possibly say the same of today’s adenoidal, stammering Opposition leader, the toothless Ed Miliband.

With the politicians apparently impotent in the face of the economic blizzard, many people were losing faith in parliamentary democracy. Their despair was hardly surprising: in some industrial towns of the North, Wales and Scotland, unemployment in 1932 reached a staggering 70 per cent.
With thousands more being plunged out of work every week, even the National Government estimated that one in four people were making do on a mere subsistence diet. Scurvy, rickets and tuberculosis were rife; in the slag heaps of Wigan, George Orwell saw ‘several hundred women’ scrabbling ‘in the mud for hours’, searching for tiny chips of coal so they could heat their homes.
Feeling betrayed by mainstream politicians, many sought more extreme alternatives. Then as now, Britain was rocked by marches and demonstrations. In October 1932, a National Hunger March in Hyde Park saw bloody clashes between protesters and mounted policemen, with 75 people being badly injured.
And while Left-wing intellectuals were drawn to the supposedly utopian promise of the Soviet leader Josef Stalin — who turned out to be a brutal tyrant — thousands of ordinary people flocked to the banners of the British Union of Fascists, founded in the autumn of 1932 by the former Labour maverick Sir Oswald Mosley.
Never before or since has the far Right commanded greater British support — a worrying reminder of the potential for economic frustration to turn into demagogic resentment.
But the most compelling parallels between 1932 and 2012 lie overseas, where the economic and political situation was, if anything, even darker.
Eighty years ago, the world was struggling to come to terms with an entirely new financial landscape. In August 1931, the system by which currencies were pegged to the value of gold had fallen apart, with market pressure forcing Britain to pull the pound off the gold standard.
Almost overnight, the system that was supposed to ensure global economic stability was gone. And as international efforts to coordinate a response collapsed, so nations across the world fell back on self-interested economic protectionism.
In August 1932, the British colonies and dominions met in the Canadian capital, Ottawa, and agreed a policy of Imperial Preference, putting high tariffs on goods from outside the Empire. International free trade was now a thing of the past; in this frightening new world, it was every man for himself.
Today’s situation, of course, is even more frightening. Our equivalent of the gold standard — the misguided folly of the euro — is poised on the brink of disaster, yet the European elite refuse to let poorer Mediterranean nations like Greece and Portugal leave the eurozone, devalue their new currencies and start again.
Should the eurozone collapse, as seems perfectly likely given Greece’s soaring debts, Spain’s record unemployment, Italy’s non-existent growth and the growing market pressure on France’s ailing economy, then the consequences would be much worse than when Britain left the gold standard.
The shockwaves across Europe — which could come as early as next spring — would see banks tottering, businesses crashing and millions thrown out of work. For British firms that trade with Europe, as well as holiday companies, airports, travel firms and the City of London itself, the meltdown of the eurozone would be a catastrophe.

And as the experience of 80 years ago suggests, the political and social ramifications would be too terrible to contemplate. For in many ways, the 12 months between the end of 1931 and the beginning of 1933 were the tipping point between democracy and tyranny, the moment when the world plunged from an uneasy peace towards hatred and bloodshed.
In the East, new powers were already on the rise. At the end of 1931, Imperial Japan had already launched a staggeringly brutal invasion of China, the Japanese armies pouring into the disputed province of Manchuria in search of raw materials.
Today the boot is on the other foot, with China ploughing billions into its defence programme and establishing de facto economic colonies across Africa, bringing copper, cobalt and zinc back to the mother country.
Indeed, future historians may well look back and see the first years of the 2010s as the moment when the Chinese Empire began to strengthen its global grip.
In the Soviet Union in 1932, meanwhile, Stalin’s reign of terror was intensifying. With dissent crushed by the all-powerful Communist Party, his state-sponsored collectivisation of the Ukrainian farms saw a staggering 6 million die in one of the worst famines in history.
By these standards, the autocratic Vladimir Putin looks almost cuddly.

And yet we should not forget that Putin himself described the fall of the Soviet empire as one of the greatest catastrophes of the century — and that half of all Russian teenagers recently told a survey that Stalin was a wise and strong leader.
By comparison, Europe’s democratic leaders look woolly and vacillating, just as they did back in 1932. Indeed, for the democratic West, this was a truly terrible year.
Democracy itself seemed to be under siege. In France, President Paul Doumer was murdered by an assassin. In Portugal, the authoritarian, ultra-Catholic dictator Antonio Salazar launched a reign of terror that would last into the Seventies. And in Italy, the Fascist leader Benito Mussolini strengthened his grip, consolidating Italian power in the looted colonies of Albania and Libya.
Eighty years on, we have no room for complacency. Although the far Right remains no more than a thuggish and eccentric minority, the elected prime ministers of Greece and Italy have already been booted out to make way for EU-approved technocrats for whom nobody has ever voted.
In the new Europe, the will of the people seems to play second fiddle to the demands of Paris and Berlin. And if the eurozone crisis intensifies, then it is no idle fantasy to imagine that Angela Merkel, Nicolas Sarkozy and their Brussels allies will demand an even greater centralisation of powers, provoking nationalist outrage on the streets of Europe’s capitals.
Sadly, there seems little point in looking across the Atlantic for inspiration. In 1932, President Herbert Hoover, beleaguered by rising unemployment and tumbling ratings, flailed and floundered towards election defeat.
Today, Barack Obama cuts a similarly impotent, indecisive and isolationist figure. The difference is that in 1932, one of the greatest statesmen of the century, the Democratic politician Franklin D. Roosevelt, was waiting in the wings.
Today, American voters looking for alternatives are confronted only with a bizarre gaggle of has-beens, inadequates and weirdos, otherwise known as the Republican presidential field. And to anybody who cares about the future of the Western world, the prospect of President Ron Paul or President Newt Gingrich is frankly spine-chilling.

Above all, though, the eyes of the world back in 1932 were fixed on Germany. As the Weimar Republic staggered towards oblivion, an obscure Austrian painter was setting his sights on supreme power.
With rising unemployment eating away at the bonds of democratic civility, the National Socialist Party was within touching distance of government.
And in the last days of 1932, after the technocrats and generals had failed to restore order, President Paul von Hindenburg began to contemplate the unthinkable — the prospect of Adolf Hitler as Chancellor of Germany.
We all know what happened next. Indeed, by the end of 1932 the world was about to slide towards a new dark age, an age of barbarism and bloodshed on a scale that history had never known.
Eighty years on, it would be easy to sit back and reassure ourselves that the worst could never happen again. But that, of course, was what people told each other in 1932, too.
The lesson of history is that tough times often reward the desperate and dangerous, from angry demagogues to anarchists and nationalists, from seething mobs to expansionist empires.
Our world is poised on the edge of perhaps the most important 12 months for more than half a century. If our leaders provide the right leadership, then we may, perhaps, muddle through towards slow growth and gradual recovery.
But if the European elite continue to inflict needless hardship on their people; if the markets continue to erode faith in the euro; and if Western politicians waste their time in petty bickering, then we could easily slip further towards discontent and disaster.
The experience of 1932 provides a desperately valuable lesson. As a result of the decisions taken in those 12 short months, millions of people later lost their lives.
Today, on the brink of a new year that could well prove the most frightening in living memory, we can only pray that our history takes a very different path.

Anyone who prepares questions and answers BEFOREHAND no matter how approximate or precise and then REPRODUCES from that mental or written template (eg write your questions or answers on a piece of paper) is a robot mechanically rendering what is fixed beforehand.
The Buddha said that because he understood truth and the dharma thoroughly, he does not prepare answers to questions that people may ask him, straightaway when asked, he has the correct specific to the occasion answer.
"Venerable sir, when wise nobles come to the Tathagata and ask him questions, does his answer appear to his awareness beforehand -- I -- thus asked -- will answer in this way' -- or does the Tathagata come up with the answer on the spot?"
"What do you think, prince: are you skilled in the parts of a chariot?"
"Yes."
"And what do you think: When people ask you, 'What is the name of this part of the chariot?' does this reasoning appear to your awareness beforehand -- ' I -- thus asked -- will answer in this way' -- or do you come up with the answer on the spot?"
"Venerable sir, All the parts of a chariot are well-known to me. I come up with the answer on the spot."
"In the same way, prince, when wise nobles come to the Tathagata and ask him, he comes up with the answer on the spot. Why is that? Because the property of the Dhamma is thoroughly penetrated by the Tathagata. Thus he comes up with the answer on the spot."
AS I HAVE SAID, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE THAT JESUS WILL ANNOUNCE FROM A PIECE OF PAPER BECAUSE THEN HE BECOMES A MECHANIC, A SLAVE TO THAT PIECE OF PAPER.
The Buddha will only say things that are true and beneficial:
The Buddha will never say things that are false.
He will never say things that are true but unbeneficial to others. Thus he will not tell you there is life on Mars because it is unbeneficial and so all these scientists getting carried away by pictures and data from Mars, Jupiter etc are deluded, practicing controlled insanity, something useless.
If something is true and beneficial to others and it is pleasing or disagreeable to others, the Buddha has the sense of the right occasion to speak.
THERE ARE THREE CONSIDERATIONS BEFORE SPEAKING, WHETHER WHAT YOU SAY IS TRUE OR FALSE, BENEFICIAL OR UNBENEFICIAL, PLEASING OR DISAGREEABLE TO OTHERS.
YOU SHOULD ONLY SPEAK WHAT IS TRUE AND BENEFICIAL TO OTHERS AND IF IN ADDITION IT IS PLEASING OR DISAGREEABLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE THE SENSE OF THE RIGHT OCCASION TO SAY IT.
"In the same way, prince:
[1] Words that the Tathagata knows to be untrue, unbeneficial & disagreeable to others, he does not say them.
[2] Words that the Tathagata knows to be factual, true, unbeneficial & disagreeable to others, he does not say them.
[3] Words that the Tathagata knows to be factual, true, beneficial, but unendearing & disagreeable to others, he has a sense of the proper time for saying them.
[4] Words that the Tathagata knows to be untrue, unbeneficial, but agreeable to others, he does not say them.
[5] Words that the Tathagata knows to be true, unbeneficial, but agreeable to others, he does not say them.
[6] Words that the Tathagata knows to be true, beneficial, and agreeable to others, he has a sense of the proper time for saying them. Why is that? Because the Tathagata has sympathy for living beings."
(Such thoughts never cross the minds of people who are fakes. No fake guru will ever think of saying this let alone say this and so anyone who dismisses the Buddha is asking for judgment)
Understanding is suspended during rehash:
You may have the most sophisticated understanding in the world but if you are rehashing VERY APPROXIMATELY OR PRECISELY from a MENTAL OR PHYSICAL (WRITTEN PAPER) TEMPLATE then for the duration of the rehash, your understanding is not needed and suspended in order to concentrate on retrieving or recollecting what you prepared BEFOREHAND and want to reproduce as ACCURATELY AS POSSIBLE. It does not matter if you failed badly in your reproduction, it is riddled with errors, still you have suspended your understanding during the rehash in favour of mechanical reproduction.
IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW APPROXIMATE AND RIDDLED WITH ERRORS YOUR REHASH WAS, FOR THE DURATION OF THE REHASH, UNDERSTANDING IS SUSPENDED IN FAVOUR OF TRYING TO RECALL AND REPRODUCE FROM RECALL WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY OR DO THAT IS ACCORDING TO A PLAN.
THUS WHEN YOU REHASH, YOU ARE NOT ONLY SUSPENDING BUT TRAINING YOURSELF TO SUPPRESS YOUR UNDERSTANDING (OF THE MEANING OR PURPOSE OF WHAT YOU ARE SAYING OR DOING) TO BECOME A MINDLESS ROBOT OR ZOMBIE. IN TIME A SWITCHED OFF UNDERSTANDING IS PERMANENT OR CONDITIONED AND YOU ARE A FULLTIME ROBOT OR AUTOMATON REHASHING DRIVEN BY EMOTIONS, URGES, CUES, RULES LOGIC AND REFLEX.
Styled speech and actions must always be rehashed:
Speech or actions that have a simultaneous force prolonging, changing speed (eg pitch) and strength (loudness) must always be rehashed, can never be reproduced live specific to the occasion.
If you examine people, even those in the same family say the same words in different recognizable manners which means to say that the different ways they say the same word is separate from the word.
IF THE WAY A PERSON PRONOUNCES A WORD IS INTEGRAL TO THAT WORD THEN IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR DIFFERENT PEOPLE TO PRONOUNCE THE SAME WORD DIFFERENTLY. HENCE THERE ARE TWO SEPARATE BUT COMBINED FACETS IN SPEAKING A WORD, THE SUBSTANCE OR WORD ITSELF AND THE WAY IT IS SPOKEN.
If you notice people pronouncing words, they always consistently pronounce the same word the same way.
THE ONLY WAY FOR ONE PERSON TO CONSISTENTLY PRONOUNCE A WORD ALWAYS THE SAME WAY AND ANOTHER THE SAME WORD ALWAYS IN A DIFFERENT WAY IS BECAUSE THE REPRODUCTION OF THE WORD IS BY REHASH FROM A FIXED SUBSTANCE AND STYLE OR COMBINED STYLE PLUS SUBSTANCE PLAN.
NO ONE CAN PAY FULL ATTENTION TO HIS ENUNCIATION OF A WORD WHILST HE ALSO PAYS FULL ATTENTION TO STRETCHING SYLLABLES, PAYS FULL ATTENTION CHANGING SPEED AND PAYS FULL ATTENTION LOUDNESS (4 SEPARATE SIMULTANEOUS ACTS) AND SO IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FABRICATE SUBSTANCE AND STYLE SPEECH FRESH JUST AS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR PAUL MCCARTNEY TO LIVE SING WHILST PLAY PIANO, GUITAR AND DRUMS BUT IT MUST BE SEPARATELY RECORDED AND REPRODUCED FROM A MULTITRACK RECORDING.
FORCE IS A POWERFUL ATTRACTOR OF ATTENTION AND SO IF YOUR FORCE IS PROLONGING, CHANGING SPEED AND LOUDNESS, IT IS A POWERFUL ATTRACTOR OF ATTENTION, SCATTERING YOUR ATTENTION FROM THE SUBSTANCE OF WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY SO HOW CAN YOU ATTENTIVELY FULLY UNDERSTANDING, SAY WHAT YOU SAY IF YOU HAVE STYLE?
Singing and dancing is always rehashing:
It is impossible to sing or dance without rehashing.
A song is a fixed sequence of notes plus accompanying lyrics whilst a dance is a fixed sequence of bodily and limb movements that anyone desirous of singing or dancing to must painstakingly memorize and then try to reproduce as accurately as possible.
Without remembering a song and trying to reproduce from memory you cannot sing a particular song.
Even if you try to introduce variations (jazz up a song or add your individual touch) or make mistakes it is still a matter of reproduction or rehashing.
JUST AS YOU DO NOT REALIZE YOU ARE REHASHING WHENEVER YOU SING AND DANCE, YOU DO NOT REALIZE YOU ARE REHASHING ALL THE TIME WHAT AND HOW YOU PERCEIVE (SEE AND HEAR), THINK, SPEAK AND DO.
Indirect suffering is far worse than direct suffering:
Direct suffering is what suffering immediately from sources of pain eg hot sun, bone chilling cold weather, scalding.
Indirect suffering is suffering due you that is inescapable, is what suffering in karma to be repaid as suffering now, later in life and after you depart as a result of whatever falsity and harm to others you have undertaken and it is far, far more painful and everlasting than you dreamt possible in your worst nightmares.
JESUS SAID EVEN THE MAN WHO CALLS HIS BROTHER YOU FOOL (SCOLD) IS IN DANGER OF THE FIRE OF HELL, THE BUDDHA SAID A TRIFLING EVIL CAN SEND SOMEONE TO HELL WHICH HE DESCRIBES IS LIKE A BURNING CHARCOAL PIT, THERE IS SUCH A THING CALLED ETERNAL PUNISHMENT AND SUFFERING AS VAST AS AN OCEAN AND ALL THIS IS THE INDIRECT SUFFERING DUE A RESULT OF FOOLISH ACTIONS AND SPEECH AND IT IS FAR WORSE THAN WHATEVER PAIN CAN BE INFLICTED ON YOU.
WHATEVER THE PAIN HERE THAT CAN BE INFLICTED ON YOU, SOMEONE CHOPS YOU TO PIECES, PULL YOUR NAILS OUT ONE BY ONE, CUTS YOU PIECE BY PIECE WITH A CHAIN SAW, THE INDIRECT PAIN AS A RESULT OF ACCRUED KARMA IS FAR WORSE.

HERE YOU HAVE AGING, DECAY, DISEASE AND GOATS TO HOUND YOU, IN HEAVEN THERE IS NO HUNGER, NO DISEASE, NO DECAY AND GOATS TO HOUND YOU AND IT LASTS EVEN AN ETERNITY IF NOT MANY ETERNITIES MORE.
Self-created suffering far exceeds other created suffering:
Even without counting the eternal punishment that one creates for oneself, the daily suffering created as a result of one’s misdeeds, one’s constant use of force to prolong, change speed and loudness, one’s incessant thinking, one’s incessant liking and disliking dwarfs whatever suffering inflicted by others, by the environment.
IF ONE DID NOT STRETCH HIS SYLLABLES, CHANGED SPEED AND LOUDNESS, DID NOT THINK UNNECESSARILY CONSTANTLY, DID NOT LIKE AND DISLIKE THINGS HAPPENING, THE DAILY SUFFERING TOTALLY ENDED FAR EXCEEDS WHATEVER SUFFERING CAUSED BY THE ELEMENTS, CAUSED BY OTHERS.

The truth of existence may be that there are many avenues for suffering that can reach horrendous or excruciating levels and last even eternities.
For a being troubled or distressed by the regular intrusion of pain (terrible toothache, bad flu, stomach ache, sprained back, aching limbs from too much work) and suffering in his life here, he would do well to dispense with his misguided efforts to seek remedies for those physical sufferings to instead focus his attention on cleaning up his act here which brings much immediate relief from suffering and will enable him to avoid terrible extended suffering after he departs.

WHATEVER AND HOWEVER SUBLIME AND ‘EVERLASTING’ EVEN FOR 60,000 ETERNITIES THE HAPPINESS THAT BEINGS MAY FIND IN THE HIGHEST REACHES OF HEAVEN IS NOT PERMANENT AND AFTER COMPLETING THEIR LIFESPANS THERE IF THEY STILL DESIRE EXISTENCE THEY MAY DESCEND EVEN TO HELL DEPENDING ON THEIR PAST KARMA.
THERE IS TRUE HAPPINESS AND IT HAS A HIERARCHY OF GREATNESS AND THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO ATTAIN IT, ACCORDING TO THE BUDDHA. THERE IS NO HAPPINESS APART FROM WHAT THE BUDDHA DELINEATED.
SENSUAL HAPPINESS IS THE LOWEST, COARSE AND ACTUALLY TERRIBLE TORMENT FOR THOSE HOPELESSLY HOOKED ON LUST, GREED AND EXCITEMENT.
NEXT COMES THE FIRST HIGHER STATE OF MIND WITH DISCURSIVE THINKING THAT CAN ONLY COME ABOUT IF ONE HAS STOPPED USING FORCE TO PROLONG (STRETCH SYLLABLES), CHANGE SPEED AND STRENGTH (LOUDNESS).
NEXT HIGHER IS THE FULLY CONSCIOUS CESSATION OF THINKING SO THAT THE MIND BECOMES ONE POINTED OR UNITED. THIS GIVES A LIFESPAN OF 2 ETERNITIES IN HEAVENLY BLISS.
NEXT HIGHER IS THE NEITHER STIRRING OF ONE’S MENTAL FORCE TO LIKE/ BE ATTRACTED/EXCITED/GREEDY OR REPULSED/ ANGRY/ DISLIKING WHATEVER IS HAPPENING. THIS GIVES A LIFESPAN OF 4 ETERNITIES IN HEAVENLY BLISS.
NEXT HIGHER IS TO TUNE OUT ALL PERCEPTION OF FORCE SO THAT ONE NEITHER PERCEIVES OR EXPERIENCES PAIN NOR PLEASURE, BOTH PRODUCTS OF FORCE IMPACTING THROUGH THE SENSES. THIS GIVES A LIFESPAN OF 500 ETERNITIES IN HEAVEN.
NEXT HIGHER IS THE SPHERE OF THE INFINITUDE OF SPACE WHICH GIVES A LIFESPAN OF 20,000 ETERNITIES.
NEXT HIGHER IS THE SPHERE OR REALM OF INFINITE CONSCIOUSNESS WHICH GIVES A LIFESPAN OF 40,000 ETERNITIES.
NEXT HIGHER IS THE SPHERE OF NOTHINGNESS WHICH GIVES A LIFESPAN OF 60,000 ETERNITIES.

NEXT HIGHER IS THE SPHERE OF THE CESSATION OF PERCEPTION AND FEELINGS AND RISING FROM THAT THE BEING ESCAPES TO PERMANENT BLISS, NIBBANA THE DESTINATION WHERE THERE IS NO FALLING AWAY.
ONLY NIBBANA IS THERE NO FALLING AWAY, NO WOE AND THE PATH TO NIBBANA MUST GO THROUGH HEAVEN, BEFORE YOU CAN BECOME ENLIGHTENED YOU MUST EXPERIENCE THE HEAVENLY DELIGHT OF THE HIGHER STATES OF MIND.
The Buddha spoke of the three knowledge man, the man with knowledge of all his past lives, the arising and passing away of beings and knowledge of the way COMPLETELY out of suffering.
The person who is enlightened knows the path to the complete extinction of his suffering and that means he has knowledge and is capable AT WILL of attaining in unbroken sequence the first to the highest, happiest states of mind namely the realm of neither perceiving nor not perceiving.
How the Blessed One Passed into Nibbana
9. And the Blessed One entered the first jhana. Rising from the first jhana, he entered the second jhana. Rising from the second jhana, he entered the third jhana. Rising from the third jhana, he entered the fourth jhana. And rising out of the fourth jhana, he entered the sphere of infinite space. Rising from the attainment of the sphere of infinite space, he entered the sphere of infinite consciousness. PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s acquittal on a sodomy charge has cleared the Government once and for all of the many baseless accusations of political interference and conspiracy against the Opposition Leader.

The statement is based on wrong understanding and logic. The false logic is that times are bad and so people should stop buying Rolls Royce instead of buying more.
The correct understanding is that even though the system is in crisis, there are many saddled with un-payable debts and the savings of many are gone, lent recklessly by bankers, the money has gone to a rich minority and they are richer than they ever had been and so it is not a surprise but to be expected that demand for luxury cars remain buoyant.

If a person’s perception, what and how he perceives is false then it is impossible for him to have true logic or for him to arrive at a true conclusion based on reasoning or thinking. If the facts on which he based his logical conclusions are false or deluded, then the conclusion will always be also false.
“Anwar’s acquittal proves that there is no conspiracy and there is judiciary independence” is a statement of false logic not without purpose but with the false purpose of self-serving to falsely show you are good or derive false benefit from what has happened. What are the causes of false logic?
False perception is an important cause of false logic. Thus the Buddha said each eon only has one Buddha, there cannot be two Buddhas at any one time, the Father is always male and there cannot be two Fathers at one time.
If you perceive what is false, that there can be many buddhas in one eon then you accept as true all these stories of boy buddhas.

Failure to consider all possibilities as a result of negligence or poor discernment, concentration is a cause of false logic.
Thus if in a scenario there are 5 possible causes and you negligently only considered three, missing out on the true cause, then you would come to the conclusion that this is the cause when the cause was something you failed to consider.
Logic that is rehashed is cause of false logic:
Logic that is programmed and rehashed as programmed to apply to a situation is a cause of false logic.
If a person does not have true logic, he does not gather information about a current situation and then based on the strands of the current situation to compose a fresh specific to the occasion understanding he will come to a wrong conclusion.

I do not understand the fuss and rave about Apple.
I tried the Safari browser and found it puzzling to use and quickly dropped it, similarly I could not make sense of iTunes and abandoned it quickly. Once I tried an Apple notebook on display and I found it impossible to switch off or minimize the VLC player that I activated.
Google Chrome, Gmail too have many oddities that I find disagreeable.

Reasoning is when a person’s thinking is harnessed or put to work to come up with answers one desires to get.
Thinking is done in mentally spoken words or mentally generated images or sequences of action.
There is rote reasoning and it consists of a library of recorded explanations of things and the person can only arrive at solutions or answers that are recorded in his library or a combination of various recordings, he cannot arrive at an answer that is not recorded, he can only arrive at that answer if he has successfully recorded it and thereafter that recorded answer is available for application.

Why there was a conspiracy against Anwar:
Because of the shoddiness of the fabrications against Anwar there is sufficient evidence in the public domain to prove (for those who are discerning) that there was a conspiracy against Anwar and reflecting the lack of true understanding by ordinary people, even Anwar’s lawyers failed to point out the evidence.
If the prosecution had Anwar’s DNA for reference (eg from his previous detention in 1997) they would not have had to enact retrospective laws regarding mandatory DNA collection to force Anwar to give a sample of his DNA for his current case. It is because they have no reference sample to base their prosecution that they went to the trouble of urgent new DNA laws. Anwar refused to cooperate and so even without reference DNA from Anwar, the prosecution seem pretty certain the DNA they have in possession extracted allegedly from Saiful’s rectum belonged to Anwar. How could they be so certain?
If the case was a fraud, the DNA allegedly from Saiful’s rectum came from Anwar’s toothbrush extracted whilst he was under detention then prosecution could be certain the DNA came from Anwar and they would convict Anwar based on the DNA they have. Without Anwar giving a DNA sample for reference how could prosecution be so sure their DNA will match Anwar’s?
IF PROSECUTION HAD OLD DNA FROM ANWAR (DNA WAS NOT IN VOGUE IN 1997 AND HIS SAMPLES MAY HAVE BEEN DISCARDED) IT WOULD NOT HAVE ENACTED LAWS TO MAKE ANWAR GIVE DNA SAMPLE AND WITHOUT ANWAR HAVING GIVEN DNA, FOR THE PROSECUTION TO PROCEED WITH THE CASE MUST MEAN THEY KNEW WITH CERTAINTY THE DNA THEY ARE CHARGING WITH CAME FROM ANWAR (BECAUSE IT WAS EXTRACTED FROM HIS TOOTHBRUSH). IF THERE ARE OTHER COLLABORATIVE EVIDENCE YOU MAY UNDERSTAND WHY PROSECUTION WENT AHEAD BUT WITH THIS CASE BASED ON UNSUBSTANTIATED ACCUSATION BY SAIFUL AND DNA EVIDENCE, IT IS A CLEAR INDICATION OF FRAUD FOR PROSECUTORS TO GO AHEAD TO CHARGE ANWAR WHEN THEY HAVE NOT OBTAINED A REFERENCE SAMPLE FROM ANWAR TO CONFIRM THE DNA THEY HAVE BELONGED TO ANWAR.
THIS CONTRADICTION WAS LOST ON ANWAR’S LAWYERS, THEY FAILED TO POINT THIS OUT.
If this case was genuine then the prosecution would be foolhardy and gullible to base their prosecution on Saiful’s testimony and DNA samples from Saiful’s rectum they can never be sure came from Anwar because they have not matched it with a reference sample. If however the DNA they present came from Anwar’s toothbrush, they could be certain there will be a complete match with Anwar’s.
THUS ANWAR’S ACQUITTAL RATHER THAN PROVING THERE IS NO CONSPIRACY, IS PROOF THERE WAS A CONSPIRACY BECAUSE IF HE WAS TRULY GUILTY THEY WOULD NOT BE SO GENEROUS AS TO LET HIM OFF THE HOOK EVEN IF EVIDENCE WAS INSUFFICIENT. People will happily allow injustice to happen to others but they will not allow injustice to befall themselves or those they are aligned with without protests or indignation. Where is the indignation especially when you are high and mighty and has been denied justice by Anwar’s acquittal?

THUS IF ANWAR WAS TRULY GUILTY AND A MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE HAS OCCURRED, IT IS REMARKABLE HOW IN UNISON ACCEPTING THE RULING ELITE IS AND HOW THEY FOCUS ON PROOF THERE IS NO CONSPIRACY AND THERE IS JUDICIARY INDEPENDENCE.
