Mangled Self Serving Dangerously Simplistic Logic:

Mangled Self Serving Dangerously Simplistic Logic:
Quote: "I just traveled on the bus with workers who told me they were nervous about their future," Mr Bush said.
"They're concerned. I am, too, and therefore we must have a president who understands that in order to keep jobs at home, America must be the best place to do business."
(It is not America must be but work must be done, America must be made the best place to do business. It is not that Bush must be president but ideally he must prove why he must be made president)
Comment: Bush is saying or does not realize he is saying that if he did not share workers’ concerns about their job security then we shouldn’t have a president who understands that but because he is concerned about job security just as they are concerned, we must therefore have a president who understands that (because he fits the bill perfectly).
How unabashedly or witlessly self-serving and dangerously simplistic a logic for a president? This is not a blip but there is a clear and consistent pattern even before he came to power. It redounds on or reflects negatively on America that he was elected president and is still very popular. I saw the movie Fahrenheit and he was clearly alarmed but frozen as if he did not know what to do when an aide whispered to him news of the 9/11 attack. Despite visible attempt to suppress, his face betrayed expressions of alarm and indecision, so he picked up a book and pretended unconvincingly to read whilst his demeanor suggested his mind was somewhere else.
To Demand To Be Noticed Is A Sign Of An Actor:
There was a scene in Fahrenheit 9/11 where he was shown hitting a golf drive and he eagerly turned to the press gallery to cajole, “Did I hear anyone say ‘good shot’?” and then acted as if he was straining to hear a reply. A pressman must have obliged because he turned away nodding as if pleased. To demand to be appreciated is a sign of an actor who wants to impress others.
His unabashed message is to vote for him rather than genuine empathy for workers. He does not dwell on or articulate the workers’ plight but after the cursory platitude that he too is concerned, he immediately launches into a self-serving suggestion that therefore we must have a president who understands that. Who cares whether Kerry also fits the bill or fits it even better?
He is a hypocrite who says one thing to one audience and another thing to another audience. In the film Fahrenheit, he was shown dressed in his evening best, pleased or smug with himself as he addressed a fund raising dinner function with a parody of the theme of the ‘haves & have nots” saying “There are the haves and the have mores … (dramatic acted pause) I call you (the have mores) my base” Why does he not say that to the workers? If the ‘have mores’ are his base, the workers cannot be his base; if everyone is your base, why have a base?
THE COMING US ELECTION IS NOT A CONTEST BETWEEN WHO IS A LAIR AND WHO IS NOT BUT BETWEEN WHO IS THE MORE DANGEROUS & RECKLESS LIAR AND THE ANSWER SHOULD BE OBVIOUS. AMERICA IS THE SPOILS OF CONQUEST AND BEHIND THE SCENES THERE ARE WEALTHY INDIVIDUALS AND CORPORATIONS WHO WILL CHEAT, SMEAR AND SLANDER THEIR WAY TO PLACE THEIR PROXY IN POWER TO BENEFIT THEM LATER. THE WORLD IS NOT AND NEVER WAS IN GOOD HANDS, AMERICA IS LITTLE DIFFERENT IN SUBSTANCE FROM THE ROMANS. MANKIND WILL RUN THE EARTH TO THE GROUND AND THERE WILL BE DISASTER WHEN THE EARTH IS DESTABILIZED. AS I UNDERSTAND KARMA, AMERICA MAY BE CALLED UPON TO SUFFER MORE (EARTHQUAKES, FAMINE) SHOULD APOLCALYPSE ARRIVE BECAUSE THEY ARE THE LEADERS OF THE PACK OF HEEDLESSNESS AND ‘ENJOYED’ THE MOST.
Acting Robots Who Think They Are Real Time People:
Actors are actually preprogrammed people with a variety of learnt and repeatedly practiced alternative responses to a given situation that have to be forcefully and emotionally executed against personal resistance because it is stressful. Because there is a variety of choice of responses for a given situation, they are fooled to think they are real people, not actors.
Those who like to hog the limelight usually have more sophisticated, more confidently rendered and more variety of responses he can call upon for a situation. Because he has rendered that response so often, it is rendered with slickness, he and observers are fooled to think he is genuine when he is forcefully faking it to keep up with appearances.
This illusion of flexibility and genuineness is usually well maintained in daily life but there will be occasions when the actor is stumped because he has not learnt to cope with a situation.
Because Bush is a rigid actor rendering from his repertoire of standard responses, when he was confronted by a situation he has never dealt with before, planes crashing on the WTC, what are your responses Mr President, he does not know what to do, because he has never acted that situation before and for fear of making a hesitant fool of himself, he is frozen stiff and panicked.
THE DILEMMA FOR ACTORS IS WHETHER THEY CONTINUE TO BE ACTING ROBOTS OR RECLAIM THEMSELVES FROM THE ACTING SOFTWARE THAT RUNS THEM.
What’s So Great About The Buddha?
Then the Blessed One, having understood Brahma's invitation, out of compassion for beings, surveyed the world with the eye of an Awakened One. As he did so, he saw beings with little dust in their eyes and those with much, those with keen faculties and those with dull, those with good attributes and those with bad, those easy to teach and those hard, some of them seeing disgrace and danger in the other world. (many may be beyond redemption)
Having seen this, he answered Brahma Sahampati in verse:
Open are the doors to the Deathless
to those with ears.(not those without ears)
Let them show their conviction.
Perceiving trouble, O Brahma,
I did not tell people the refined, sublime Dhamma.
There may be those who are foolish, without finding out or understanding what the Buddha stands for or having swiftly forgotten what he stood for, would utter “what’s so great about the Buddha?”
The Buddha said ordinary people (exclude yourself at your own risk) have sufferings due to them like an ocean compared to the few drops remaining in one who is noble. Without him telling you this, will you have realized it yourself? Even after you have been told, do you believe that? Because you do not believe that, you will continue to defile yourself, experience insoluble stress that is a sign of sin and head for eternal habitations as Jesus said.
The Buddha also said that like the dust on his finger tip compared to the great earth, few are they reborn as men, far more are reborn elsewhere and therefore you should live heedfully. Jesus spoke of resurrection, hence after you die, you are likely to wander in hell, ghost or animal realms until judgment day. You may get only one chance per eon or Age to be a human which is why the Buddha also said that faster than the man who can catch four falling arrows, faster than the sun & moon, faster than the angels, the force of a man’s life comes to an end because the next time you return here as a man may be millions of years later.
The Buddha said idle chatter and gossip leads to hell or the animal womb. Killing animals lead to hell or the animal womb. If he did not tell you so, would you have realized that idle chatter, gossip and killing animals can send you to hell? Now that he has told you so, do you still nevertheless chatter gossip and hunt (snuff off insects nonchalantly)? You have nobody to blame now but your heedlessness, should you find yourself in hell.
The Buddha said that for a being to wander on for an eon (Age), he will accumulate a pile of skeletons as high as a mountain. The earth is 4 billion years old and we have record of life only for about a billion years. Animals in the past including dinosaurs, saber tooth tigers and mammoths very much bigger than those today and hence it may be no exaggeration that you will create a pile of skeleton as high as a mountain before you come back here again. Jesus said the goats will be banished to eternal punishment. Jesus spoke of this age and the age to come. The Buddha spoke of many eons of cosmic expansion and contraction. If the Buddha did not tell you that, will you have realized it yourself?
Doing Things Grudgingly Is Acting:
Whenever anyone does or say anything in a grudging manner, he is always acting. A non actor either does or says something passively without force or he does not do or say it. To force yourself to do or say anything grudgingly is not to mean it and therefore act. To do or say something grudgingly is to not let one’s yes be yes only but more, grudgingly which comes from evil, not good.
Doing Things The Hard Way With Motive:

His entire facial and bodily expression is actually totally unnecessary to achieve his intended task (throw the ball to his teammate) and involves the waste of much force and energy, creating considerable stress as visible on his face.
He can accomplish his task just as well if not better if he was relaxed (not tensed as he is), without screwing up his face and straining his body in a stylishly exaggerated masculine posture but he needs to not only throw the ball but also put on a show because he needs to impress observers what a fine footballer he is, how committed he is, to exaggerate how tough he is to intimidate opponents and to disguise his intention who he will throw the ball to (he pretends to signal with body language he intends to throw to A but actually wants to throw to B. This is called deception and is sinful).
It is because he is experiencing serious stress that his face is all knotted up but because he has knotted up his face, he has unwittingly intensified his stress more than it otherwise will be. Trying knotting up your face or grimacing and see if stress is not conjured just by your act where there wasn’t before?
Forcing Others To Switch Off:
Whenever ordinary people are told, “Life used to be rat race before I was paralyzed” they will (force themselves to) smile and may (force themselves to) say, “Hmmm!” as if they are appreciative when it is only faked because it never registers in their minds or is soon forgotten.
When the person later says, “Life was so wonderful then”, they again smile and may utter something like “Oh yeah?” sarcastically to act as if they appreciate when it again does not registers or is soon forgotten, which is why they often fail to realize the contradiction of what they have been told previously. In other words, even though they may not be aware what others say is nonsense or contradictory, they have blanket switched off themselves and are only pretending as realistic as possible they are listening and they understand.
Isn’t it harmful to want others to believe that life previously was both a rat race and most wonderful? It is impossible to believe both and most people resolve that by switching off, they are only faking they are listening or if they sense the contradiction, they are forced to rationalize (fabricate the reason for) the contradiction eg she is not in her right mind because of anti-depressants.
Forcing oneself to switch off is always an act and if you speak fickle nonsense that forces others to switch off, you are harming others. Suppose this switched off person is told there is a tiger behind him and he is harmed because he acknowledges what you said but he did not register the message.
Internal Stress Is Unnecessary & Totally Blameworthy:
A person is not responsible for stress he experiences from external sources because it is created by others. Internal stress is totally unnecessary and only occurs because a person goes against himself to act. If a person never went against himself to act, needing further stress to forcefully control his acting, he would not experience internally generated stress. Hence internally sourced stress is entirely blameworthy and sinful and since you yourself are constantly unnecessarily creating stress for yourself, does it not serve you right if you become seized madly by the stress that you so loved to create for yourself?
IF YOUR OWN MENTAL VOICE BECOMES A GNAWING, NAGGING DRUDGE GETTING ON YOUR NERVES, YOU CANNOT IT SWITCH OFF BUT IF THE TV GETS ON YOUR NERVES, IT IS SIMPLE TO JUST SWITCH IT OFF. A SAINT CAN SWITCH OFF HIS THOUGHT PROCESSES JUST AS HE CAN DETERMINE WHEN HE WILL PASS AWAY OR JESUS SAID IF YOU HAVE FAITH YOU CAN TELL THE MOUNTAIN TO GO TO THE SEA AND IT SHALL BE DONE, BUT THEN YOU ARE NO SAINT, A SLAVE NOT MASTER OF YOURSELF.
The Folly Of Toughing It Out:
When confronted by stress building up, for example the blaring from the TV, the actor’s response is not to preserve himself by retreat eg switching off the sound but he forces himself to bear the assault on his ears so that he develops an increasing capacity to tolerate stress and self abuse.
What he does not realize is that like the alcoholic who develops an increasing capacity for alcohol that increasingly harms him irreversibly and he finds increasingly hard to exit, he is developing imperceptibly an increasing capacity to tolerate stress that increasingly harms him and he finds it increasingly difficult to exit his masochistic dependence on stress even though it becomes increasingly tormenting.
Just as alcoholics cannot see alcohol will ultimately torment and kill them until it is too late to withdraw, similarly actors cannot see the stress and abuse they force themselves to bear, are proud to bear will later torment and kill them until it is too late for them to withdraw from their commitment to stress.
THIS IS THE REASON WHY IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ORDINARY PEOPLE TO INITIATE THE CONSCIOUSNESS CHANGE IN 1977 OR TO SPONTANEOUSLY AWAKEN FROM THEIR ACTING BECAUSE THEY ARE QUITE CONTENT TO TOUGH IT OUT, TO SOCK IT TO OTHERS AS GOOD AS THEY GET SOCKED WHILST PRETENDING THEY ARE UNPERTURBED & ENJOYING THEMSELVES. WHEN THE STRESS BECOMES TOO TOUGH FOR THEM TO BEAR, THEY RUN AMOK OR COMMIT SUICIDE.
Stress And Restlessness Is Immediate:
The onset of stress and restlessness is actually immediate; as soon as one starts acting, stress and restlessness rises and its intensity increases according to the intensity and how outrageous the acting is. Further, there is a lag, after acting is reduced, the stress and restlessness lingers for some time. Acting has momentum that is difficult to stop because it creates stress and restlessness immediately and these two forceful qualities block the way to non acting and drives continued acting. A calm and clear mind is inclined not to act; a stressed and restless mind is inclined to lash out by continued acting.
Hence, because actors never truly exit acting, stress and restlessness are their constant companions that they have become used to; only the intensity varies according to the tempo of their acting.
STRESS AND RESTLESSNESS STARTS THE MOMENT ANYONE STARTS CONTRACTING HIS EYEBROWS WHEN HE SPEAKS AND IT BUILDS UP RELENTLESSLY UNTIL IT BECOMES UNCOMFORTABLE AND HE THEN IS FORCED TO CURTAIL HIS EYEBROW CONTRACTION AND THEN EXIT SPEAKING, EG DO SOME DESK WORK BY HIMSELF TO RECUPERATE. THERE WILL BE DAYS WHEN HE IS PUSHED TO THE BRINK, DETAINED IN TALKING LONGER THAN HE WISHES OR SOMEONE INTERRUPTS HIS RESPITE BY APPROACHING HIM. THEN HE WILL BE PUSHED OVER THE BRINK.
TALKING IS ALWAYS UNNECESSARILY AND SIGNIFICANTLY LABORED OR DIFFICULT (THAT THEY ALWAYS TRY TO HIDE EG BEHIND A SMILE TO SAY THEY ARE AT EASE WHEN THEY ARE NOT) BECAUSE ACTORS MUST ALWAYS SPEAK THE HARD WAY, FULL OF JAZZ, FULL OF FORCE, STRETCHED SYLLABLES AND EXPLOSIVE PHONATIONS.
AN ACCURATE DESCRIPTION OF THE STATE OF AFFAIRS FOR MOST IF NOT ALL ACTORS EVEN TODAY IS A CONSTANT SIGNIFICANTLY AGITATED OR EXCITED OR NERVOUS OR KNIFE EDGED GOING AGAINST THEMSELVES THAT THEY FREQUENTLY STRUGGLE TO CONTROL OR RESTRAIN THEMSELVES.
Low Mok Kuan:
This is a Chinese name and phonates in Cantonese similar to old (Low) wooden (Mok) pole (Kuan). Nice people may laugh at it, think it funny and they are friendly and seeing the funny side of things to imagine someone’s name mocks them as an old wooden pole. This is actually sin, never friendly and whoever thinks it is funny is not a master of himself but a slave to emotions that drives him helplessly to see the funny side of things. Laugh and you might end up in hell. If I did not tell you this, would you have realized it? Now that I have told you, how many people believe? The Buddha told you that you have suffering as vast as the ocean. Because you cannot see you are mischievous, you have a perverted sense of what is fun or pleasure, you will return here to suffer, not enjoy yourself.
Even if you do not think it is sin seeing the funny side of things, it takes effort and energy to stir your mind and body in order to appreciate the funny side of things compared to the serenity of mind and body of one who sees nothing funny. It is because you have been seeing the funny side of things for so long the urge is now overwhelming and you believe you are being yourself, you are naturally a humorous guy when you are a fool, a slave to external provocations. When you are suffering from terminal cancer let me see you see the funny side of “Low Mok Kuan”. If you will not wipe off the smile of mischief from your face, karma ultimately will and you will not like it one bit then. It is infinitely better to wipe it off yourself because you suffer less now (humor agitates) and suffer even much less later.
