True Peace & Happiness:
Ordinary people may find that in idle moments, their minds are never quite at rest or at rest for long; they may momentarily force themselves to be calm but helplessly, unpredictably emotional thought trains of a silly, conflicting dingdong, or depraved, irreverent or nasty nature intrude and they are powerless to banish them using his mind as their playground.

Nowadays when my mind is vacant, I am aware that few unwanted, silly or conflicting thoughts occupy my peaceful mind; if they do, they lack force, immediacy or urgency and are pale two dimensional shadows of what in the past were closed up, pain inflicting or hurtful, three dimensional thoughts.
It is through a lack of subjecting my mind to conflict generating forceful acting, not smiling or stretching syllables to please and impress others and constant passive meditation that my mind is nowadays obedient, inclined to stillness, does not scamper about like a restless, wild horse when it has nothing worthwhile to think but it lays down in rest whilst awaiting further instructions and only thinks when the master tells it.
Even when ordinary people have nothing to think, when they cannot think of anything to think, they force themselves or are forced by habit to think (it is an act to force yourself to think of something to think when you run out of things to think), they force themselves to think about this and that, they to go back and think again. Is it any surprise they lose control of their thinking occasionally (to think manically) and permanently in old age when their brains are finally shattered by lifelong forceful abuse?
The wise person learns to stop thinking when there is nothing to think about, not to be greedy about thinking, not to be infatuated with thinking, not to impress others with his thinking, not to think about this and that, not to think over and over again but to let his yes be yes think only. When there is a problem, make a calm, unemotional considered decision and abide by it, don’t keep going back.

ORDINARY PEOPLE DO NOT REALIZE THAT THEIR DEFAULT MENTAL STATE IS NOT STILLNESS BUT RESTLESSNESS. BECAUSE THEIR MINDS ARE RELATIVELY INTACT NOW, THEY CAN OCCASIONALLY FORCE THEMSELVES TO STAY RELATIVELY CALM FOR BRIEF PERIODS AND THIS FOOLS THEM THAT ALL IS WELL, THEY ARE IN COMMAND OF THEIR FACULTIES. THEY ARE ACTUALLY UNCOMFORTABLE WITH STILLNESS, SILENCE AND PEACE. THEY HAVE TO CONSCIOUSLY FORCE THEMSELVES TO REMAIN STILL AND AS SOON AS THEIR ATTENTION STRAYS, THEY RETURN TO FORCEFUL RESTLESSNESS MINDLESSLY. THEY HAVE EMOTIONALLY FORSAKEN PEACE TO EMBRACE FORCE, ACTION AND RESTLESSNESS. TRUE PEACE IS PASSIVE, EFFORTLESS, WITHOUT IMPULSE OR URGE AND CAN ONLY ARISE IN A PERSON WHO IS NOT FORCEFUL IN SPEECH AND ACTION, WHO DOES NOT GO AGAINST HIMSELF FORCEFULLY TO ACT. ACTORS HAVE MANY IMPULSES OR URGES CONSTANTLY DRIVING THEM INTO ACTION THAT THEY CAN ONLY BARELY RESTRAIN FOR BRIEF PERIODS. IN PUBLIC LIFE THEY MAY APPEAR PASSIVE BUT IT IS A FORCED PASSIVITY TO HIDE THEIR STRESS, RESTLESSNESS AND INSECURITY. WHENEVER THEY HAVE VACANT MOMENTS, THEY SOON BECOME RESTLESS AGAIN OR MUST FIND SOMETHING TO DO, FIND SOMETHING TO OCCUPY THEM (SWITCH ON THE TV, HAVE SOME NOISE, MUNCH ON SOMETHING, CALL A FRIEND TO CHAT, ANYTHING BUT SITTING STILL). NOT ONLY ARE THEY UNCOMFORTABLE WITH STILLNESS, THEY HAVE AN AVERSION, AN EMOTIONAL DISLIKE FOR STILLNESS, THEY CAN NEVER LET THEIR YES BE YES ONLY.
THEY DO NOT REALIZE THAT THERE IS A FORCEFUL HARD TO SURMOUNT BARRIER BETWEEN THEM AND TRUE PASSIVE PEACE, STILLNESS, NOT REALIZING THAT WHEN THEY BECOME TORMENTED BY MAD RESTLESSNESS IN THE FUTURE EITHER AS A SITUATIONAL CRISIS OR IN SENILITY, THEIR WAY TO RESTFUL PEACE WILL BE INACCESSIBLE.
THE WISE PERSON LEARNS TO CULTIVATE PEACE, LEARNS TO LOVE PEACE BY STOPPING ACTING, CURTAILING EXPOSURE TO OTHER PEOPLE’S POISONOUS NICENESS (WATCH TV WITH SOUND OFF), LEARNS TO FAMILIARIZE HIMSELF WITH PEACE BY MEDITATING, FORCING HIMSELF TO STAY STILL DESPITE RESTLESS URGES WHILST HE STILL CAN BECAUSE IF HE DOES NOT FORCE HIMSELF TO STAY STILL NOW, IN THE FUTURE, IT MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE FOR HIM TO KEEP STILL EVEN IF HE FORCED HIMSELF. WHEN ACTORS BECOME STRESSED, THEY LASH OUT AT OTHERS (EG GOLF BALLS) AND THEMSELVES. THIS MAY BRING TEMPORARY RELIEF BECAUSE THEIR AGGRESSION IS BRIEFLY ASCENDANT. IT IS ONLY WHEN FORCE IS DIRECTED THROUGH MEDITATION FOCUSSED ON THAT RESTLESSNESS AND DEPRESSION IN THE MIND TO NEUTRALIZE IT THAT COUPLED WITH STOPPING FURTHER SELF ABUSE, WILL THERE EVERLASTING FINALLY PASSIVE RELEASE FROM SUFFERING. YOU HAVE TO FORCEFULLY NEGATE THE ACTIVE RESTLESSNESS AND DEPRESSION IN YOUR MIND BY MEDITATION UNTIL IT IS NEUTRALIZED AND THENCE PASSIVE EFFORTLESS PEACE & CLARITY SETS IN.
